Do you think that those kind of people might be hesitant to get involved in another fiasco so soon after a what must have been a humiliating experience?  Normal people wouldn't ... but libs aren't "normal people."  Libs are incable of being embarrassed.  Think about it ... it they were subject to embarrassment, they'd couldn't be liberals ... it would be too embarrassing.

Anyway, the answer is "no" -- libs didn't hesitate an instant to glom onto "Global Warming."  Why?  Because it separates you from your cash.  It gives them all the money they need to continue to "PROVE" they are needed.  Meanwhile, we need them like a hole in the head.

And how do they say we should solve "Global Warming?"   Answer: Stop using fossil fuels.

Why have senators?  If we're going to directly elect senators by popular vote then what purpose do they serve?  We already directly elect our representatives.  What?  We need two more of those boobs per state?

Thanks to radio consolidation and the secondary status of leftist talk in major markets across the country, the final death knell for liberal talkers could be tolling. Many people think that liberal talk radio doesn't succeed because of its message.  I disagree.  I think it doesn't succeed because it's not really "needed."  People don't have to seek it out.

I think that liberals have no shortage of avenues to hear their own viewpoints.  All of the TV stations spew liberal viewpoints 24/7.  All the newspapers, all the opinion columns, on and on and on.  So, for what reason would a liberal waste his time duplicating all this with radio?
Answer: There is no reason for them to do so.

On the other hand, conservatives NEVER hear their viewpoint ... because the libs actively block it from most media.  Therefore, conservatives are driven to the radio to reinforce themselves and their beliefs.

If the media were fair, honest, and objective, Rush Limbaugh, et al, would be out of a job.

Dr. Dong-Pyou Han spiked a clinical test sample with healthy human blood to make it appear that the rabbit serum produced disease-fighting antibodies, officials said.

The bogus findings helped Han’s team obtain $19 million in research grants from the National Institutes of Health, said James Bradac, who oversees the institutes’ AIDS research.

Here's a story where a guy gets humiliated by a big, greedy company ... Walmart. It's all so sad.

An Arizona man and possibly Walmart’s biggest fan found out that taking the company’s ad-matching promises a bit too far can get you banned from every store for the rest of your life.

Joe Cantrell, of San Tan Valley, Ariz., said he was handcuffed, humiliated and banned from every Walmart in the world following a dispute about Christmas ornament ad-matching at the store that he visits at least twice every day, KNXV-TV reports.

Yes, it's ALL because that greedy Walmart was going to go broke if it didn't match this moron's advertisement for cheap "decoraish." After all, who cares about Walmart, right?

But then, later in the story, we get the REAL reason he got banned.

However, last week, Cantrell had local police called on him after complaining to store management that an employee had refused an ad-match for Christmas ornaments.

“When I left, he turned around and called the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and said he felt intimidated and threatened. I was upset but never once did I ever say anything – no contact, nothing,’” Cantrell told KNXV.

When he returned to the store four days later, three deputies reportedly cuffed him, gave him a court summons, and a notice of restriction that bans him from every Walmart on earth, for life.

Yep, that sounds about right.  This employee is prolly calling the cops ten or twelve times a day because he feels threatened.  And then Walmart bans them for life ... oh yes, I can see this happening ALL THE TIME, can't you?

OR ... OR ... this is the first time the employee has EVER called the cops on someone for intimidation.  What do YOU think is more likely? Looks like none of the honest and forthright jourrrrnalists cared enough to find out.

Gee, I wonder why the oh-so-honest jourrrrnalist presented the story as if the "ad-matching" got him banned.  Yes, quite the mystery.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Cantrell's arrest came three days later, when he went back to the Walmart.

"Cantrell was detained by deputies and then cited and released for one count of Disorderly Conduct and one count of Threatening and Intimidating," according to the press release. "Earlier this week, the Pinal County Courts issued an injunction against harassment ordering Cantrell to have no further contact with one of the employees involved in this incident; otherwise he shall face arrest and further prosecution." R.I.P., van Winkle

A Missouri man who died Sunday after a struggle in the parking lot of Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium had gone to the game between the Chiefs and Broncos in a similar vehicle parked nearby, police said Tuesday.

Police released the additional details in the death of Kyle A. Van Winkle, 30, of Smithville. Police have said it could take four to six weeks before authorities can determine how Van Winkle died after the altercation outside Arrowhead Stadium during Sunday's game. Police have said Van Winkle's body did not show obvious signs of trauma.

A man who owned a Jeep returned to the vehicle during the game and found Van Winkle inside, leading to a fight between the owner and Van Winkle, police said. Officers responding to a disturbance call found Van Winkle on the ground unconscious. He died later at a hospital. Three people were taken into custody Sunday evening, but all were released Monday with no charges filed.

Police have said investigators are awaiting autopsy and toxicology reports before deciding whether Van Winkle's death was the result of a crime.

Police spokesman Officer Darin Snapp confirmed in an email Tuesday that the Jeep that Van Winkle was found in was similar to vehicle he had arrived in, and that the Jeep that Van Winkle arrived in was parked nearby. The Jeep that Van Winkle was found in also showed no signs of a break-in and was unlocked when Van Winkle climbed in, according to Snapp.

A federal immigration judge ruled Tuesday that President Obama’s uncle can remain in the United States, sparing him deportation to his native Kenya in a case that riveted attention on the elderly man who had lived under the radar in this country for 50 years. For most of that time, he was here illegally.

Boston immigration Judge Leonard I. Shapiro said Onyango “Omar” Obama can now get a green card, and in five years, apply for US citizenship, unless the Department of Homeland Security appeals the case within 30 days.

“Congratulations,” Shapiro said after he announced his decision. “Welcome to America.”

LOL ... The filibuster is "Republican obstructionism." And what did this honorable and forthright jourrrnalist have to say when the Democratics were holding up Bush's nominees?

Answer: Not a damn thing and I'll tell you why.  You see, it wasn't "obstructionist" then.  Got that?  Sheep?

Of course, if the Republicans ever take back control of the Senate, the Democratics will start with the squealing and the media will be amplifying the squeals.  And who loses in all this?  I ask you, who loses when "the majority rules?"

What's this? The government lied about unemployment?

In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.

The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.

And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it.

Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy.

And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today.  More here:

But wait ... do you mean to tell me the economy sucks?  It sucks worse than it ever has?  I don't get it ... the government has been telling me "the recession's over" for what feels like ten years ... even though I'm much worse off  ... and despite record tax revenue, the country is deeper in debt than ever before.  Nossir, I just don't get it.  Very mysterious.  Unless ... THE EVIL RICH still aren't paying their fair share ... that must be it.

Anyone want to give odds on whether the liars/cheaters will lose their government jobs?

Scumballs get busted

Three people in Virginia, including a DMV employee, pleaded guilty this week to conspiring to get state IDs or driver's licenses for at least 300 illegal immigrants. 

Noemi Barboza pleaded guilty on Thursday to "a bribery conspiracy charge, admitting that she often drove illegal immigrants to the Fairfax DMV location where an employee would approve their applications for driver’s licenses, learner’s permits, and identification cards knowing they could not prove legal presence in the United States." Four people engaged in the scheme from 2007 to 2011. The fourth person has not yet been charged. 

 

The illegal immigrants paid Barboza's husband or another person, who then reportedly "split the money with" Maria Cavallaro, a 45-year-old DMV employee. Cavallaro and Barboza’s husband, 42-year-old Jose Calderon, "pleaded guilty to their roles Wednesday, admitting they helped obtain documents for as many as 300 people and netted tens of thousands of dollars for themselves." So I was reading about this guy who shot up the LAX airport.  During my reading I came across the legal statement of some jackass FBI agent.

In his statement he says things like "He pulled an assault rifle out of his bag" and "He had five magazine clips for his assault rifle."

You see, using the term "assault rifle" is MUCH better than just saying "weapon" or "rifle" ... you know why?  Because the media has brainwashed the public/potential jury pool (and apparently this pea-brained FBI agent) into thinking assault rifle=WITCHY WEAPON!!

Plus, I think we can all agree, he'd deserve a much lessor punishment if his rifle had been "regular" instead of "assault" ... right?

Sometimes I just have to shake my head.  I don't know about you but I expected a LOT more from an FBI agent than the regurgitation of mainstream media pablum.  Think about it ... we count on them to protect our freedom ... not jump in bed with the very assholes who are stealing it.

I have other questions:

1 - How long will it be before one of the crapstains in the media imply the shooter was "Tea Party?"

2 - Why does the agent cite "Title 18" of the united states code when filing the complaint?  It says, in part "... killing ... any officer or employee of the United States ... government ... while such officer or employee is engaged in or on account of the performance of  their official duties."

I mean, I'm no lawyer but WTF difference should it make wether:

a) the victim is a government employee

b) if they're engaged in "official duties" at the time of the shooting?

The guy's dead ... right?

CHICAGO –  A Chicago alderwoman wants to charge a $25 licensing fee for bicycle owners and require them to take an hour-long safety class.

Pat Dowell's proposal could generate up to $10 million a year if 400,000 cyclists buy the license. Dowell thinks the city should implement it instead of a heightened tax on cable television that's been proposed by the mayor.

AUGUSTA, Maine –  A Maine man who lived like a hermit for nearly three decades before his arrest on burglary charges will soon be released from jail and begin transitioning back into society.

Yes, "transitioning back into society."   Except, I thought he was a hermit ... aka, a person who shunned society ... and showers.

Christopher Knight, known as the North Pond Hermit, pleaded guilty Monday to 13 counts of burglary and theft and was admitted into the Co-Occurring Disorders Court.

Through the special program, Knight will have weekly hearings while he lives and work in the community. 

He'll also get counseling and treatment for alcohol abuse.

Whew, that's a load off my mind.  I always know that's money well spent out of my pocket when someone gets "treatment" for drug abuse. Yessir, that's a real return on my investment.

The specific date of his release hasn't been determined, but his lawyer said it could be within a few months.

Police say the 47-year-old Knight may have been responsible for up to 1,000 burglaries for food, clothing, camping and cooking gear while he lived in the woods of central Maine before his arrest in April.

1,000 burglaries?  Well then, he's served enough time, right?  I mean, after all ... he NEEDED other people's money/stuff.

"Anything that is not storm water or rain water is considered a pollutant," said Jennie Loft, the department's acting communications manager. "If it goes into a storm drain, that pollutant will harm wildlife and habitats in the creeks." More here:

BarryCades are everywhere

The pic above is of a turn-around for buses at Mount Vernon.  Mount Vernon is not funded by the government ... it's a private non-profit.  However, I guess the government feels the bus turn-around is a major upkeep/expense item that just CANNOT be left "open" during this brutal government shutdown. I was watching Harry Reid the other day ... speaking from the Senate floor ... crying and whining about it.  That's right ... because if the government is shutdown the politicians aren't busy writing laws to shove you around ... they can't find ways of spreading your money around to their buddies ... or can they?

Have you noticed the barricades (BarryCades) popping up everywhere?  Oh yes, they MUST close government properties you see.  Why, you ask?  I think I know ... why don't you try to guess.

I've visited the Washington DC mall/monuments on many occasions and I've never seen more than one or two park rangers/cops (except maybe at the Washington monument elevator.)  

And yet, if the government "shuts down," all of a sudden the place is crawling with employees putting up barriers to the monuments.  Yes, the monuments that are normally open 24 hours a day ... one of which got vandalized with green paint not more that a few weeks ago ... ALL OF A SUDDEN the BarryCades go up?  Why?  I think I know but why don't YOU try to guess.

I also noticed these Barrycades look brand new.  How about that?  If I were a jourrrrnalist I think I'd start asking some questions of the bureaucracies in charge of "shutting down" these places.

1 - Are these barricades new?  

2 - When did you acquire them?

3 - How much did they cost?

4 - From whom did you purchase?

5 - Who told you to purchase the barricades from that supplier?

6 - How many did you purchase?

7 - Do your employees have to go get them (install them) or are they delivered?

8 - How much does that cost? How much does it cost for them to be removed?

9 - Is it costing more to close the monuments that we would have spent to leave them open?

By the way, on one of my visits to the monuments (way back when) then government was "shutdown."  I recall seeing signs like this:

That's right, on previous "shutdowns" the memorials etc remained open ... but not this time.  Do you wonder why it's different this time?

Women shouldn't drive ... based on "science."

How are we doing on the national debt?

Did you know that since President Obama came into office, the debt limit has been raised seven times?

With those increases, Congress has added $43,000 in debt for every American household in just the last four years.

And now the debt limit deadline is looming again. Treasury will run out of tricks to keep paying the bills on October 17, Secretary Jack Lew announced yesterday.

Instead of pursuing significant spending cuts and entitlement reforms that are desperately needed to get spending under control, House Republicans reportedly are proposing to suspend the debt ceiling for more than a year, which would add $1.1 trillion to the debt.

So, take that $43,000 per household that was added in the last four years and tack on another $8,800 per household.

What happened the last time Congress raised the debt ceiling? Did they accomplish any meaningful spending cuts before increasing the debt limit? More here:

By the way, if you're interested ... the Fed is keeping interest rates artificially low.  When they finally have to let them go (and they will,) how high do you think they will go?  Let's say they return to the average of the last 20 years.  If they do that. then 85% of your taxes will go to paying just the interest on the debt (assuming they don't go further into debt ... and that's not counting this new chunk either.)

Where did all of our money go?  Any idea?  (Hint: think spreading it around to their buddies thru various government contracts.) What's the richest county in America?  Look it up, it borders Washington DC.

Most of the time when the media shows you some "selfless non-profit" it's usually some buddy of a congressman somewhere who is making a TON of salary for himself and other corporate officers and being VERY careful not to show a profit.  And all their income comes from a government program or contract.

Every year Washington takes in a record amount of revenue and they go even further into debt. Do you think this wildly increasing debt has any effect whatsoever on our economy?  Oh, of course not, after all, the media has been telling you we're in recovery ever since Obama (the democratics) came into office.  Baaaa-Bleat.

The 67-year-old jeweler, Stephan Turk, was confined at home with an electronic bracelet after the shooting last week that left a teenage robber dead in the street outside Turk's jewelry story in the French Riviera city of Nice. D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray (pictured above) said he wondered if budget cuts had something to do with a gunman getting onto the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, killing 12 before being killed himself.

“As I look at, for example, sequestration, which is about saving money in the federal government being spent, have we somehow skimped on what would be available for projects like this and then we put people at risk,” Mr. Gray said on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday morning. More here:

So ... now we know ... it was "the sequester" ... aka "the politicians have limited spending right now."  Do you see his reasoning? That's right, limiting their spending is a huge problem and you might be killed because of it.

A creepy and anonymous clown has been terrifying residents of Northampton by standing around on street corners and staring at passers-by.

He's getting messages on his facebook page.

However, many messages have expressed anger at the clown for scaring people, with one user writing: "You've been spotted now get out of the clown suit and start acting like a grown up that you supposing are and stop scaring people as some people do have real fears of clowns and you are terrorising them despite what you may say." Others have threatened violence should they see the clown. More here:

Internet sales tax ... aka "Free money for scum"

Yes, tell your senators ... they'll understand.  It cracks me up ... even if every single person said "no" the senators would still vote "yes."   You know why?  Because they never, EVER turn down a chance to get at your money.

Republicans in the House are taking a step forward on Internet sales tax legislation despite potential opposition from the GOP base.

Well of COURSE they are going to tax "internet sales."  Why wouldn't they?  Is there ANYTHING they don't tax anymore?  Yes, they have slowly, over time, managed to tax everything you do and everything you buy.  And when they find they've missed something, they go forthwith to tax it.

The funniest part is, their revenue is going through the roof but they're going bankrupt.

Every single year they collect more than the prior year and they end up deeper in debt.  There's something else that's funny ... no matter how much they collect from you, it's never, EVER, enough.
