When is the last time the the Inuits (Eskimos) started a war or a Jihad? How about Iceland, Greenland, Norway, Sweden, or Switzerland? Not to mention Canada, especially. This planet needs a good, long Ice Age to calm the fuck down. Cold is good for tempers.
I saw the article below at Ace of Spades blog (link at the bottom.) It's so good I copied the whole thing so you wouldn't miss a single delicious bite.
What a great slap-down to
morons liberals everywhere. Another example of the liberal's knowledge of history going all the way back to breakfast. Another example of a liberal immune to the experience of humiliation.
Newsweek's Global Warming Fearmongering Isn't Science, It's Science-Fiction
Even those who deny the existence of global climate change are having trouble dismissing the evidence of the last year. In the U.S. alone, nearly 1,000 tornadoes have ripped across the heartland, killing more than 500 people and inflicting $9 billion in damage.
The Midwest suffered the wettest April in 116 years, forcing the Mississippi to flood thousands of square miles, even as drought-plagued Texas suffered the driest month in a century. Worldwide, the litany of weather’s extremes has reached biblical proportions.
And the temperature keeps rising: 2010 was the hottest year on earth since weather records began. . . . there is wide consensus that the 2 degrees Fahrenheit of global warming of the last century is behind the rise in sea levels, more intense hurricanes, more heat waves, and more droughts and deluges.
From these and other extreme-weather events, one lesson is sinking in with terrifying certainty. The stable climate of the last 12,000 years is gone.
Another Newsweek article cited “the most devastating outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded”, killing “more than 300 people”, as among “the ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically”. But that article was published on April 28, 1975, when Newsweek listed the US tornado disaster of 1974 as one of the harbingers of disastrous global cooling, heralding the approach of a new ice age.

All this idiocy and people still vote for "Democratics." Yes, they're very "democratic."
Saturday, May 28, 2011
Anyway, do you remember when the Patriot Act was a bad idea? Yes, remember all the newspapers telling you how evil Bush was because of it? Remember the "Democratics" telling you how bad it was? Yes, yes -- that's because the Democratics always stand on principle. It's never political with them ... they're always looking out for the good of the people. They simply are not the kind of people who lie through their teeth. They know the truth and stick with it, even when it hurts.
That's why Obama-the-truthful is renewing the Patriot Act now. He's always thought it was a good idea ... just like closing Guantanamo ... or whatever it was he told the pea-brained Democatics to get them to vote for him.
Harry Reid is just as upstanding as Obama. Don't believe me? Here's Harry-The-Democratic-Reid (some time ago now) telling you how great the Patriot Act is: Found the video at WAMK.

Massive Fine for Selling Rabbits: "
John and Judy Dollarhite of Nixa, Missouri used to raise rabbits for extra spending money. They should have signed up for food stamps instead. Our federal overlords do not take kindly to entrepreneurism. After harassment by the USDA reminiscent of K's tribulations in The Trial, the Dollarhites — who took good care of the animals, complied with all applicable state laws, and never sold them across state lines — were hit with a bizarre and massive fine:
Recently, the Dollarhites received a "Certified Mail Return Receipt" letter (dated April 19, 2011) from the USDA informing them that they had broken the law and must pay USDA a fine of $90,643. Their crime? Violating violating 9 C.F.R. § 2.1 (a) (1): Selling more than $500 worth of rabbits in a calendar year. …
Based on an average price per rabbit sold being $10.45, the fine comes out to more than $206 per rabbit. In addition, the letter contains the following statement:
APHIS [Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service] laws and regulations provide for administrative and criminal penalties to enforce these regulatory requirements, including civil penalties of up to $10,000 for each of the violations documented in our investigation.
If the threat contained in the letter is to be believed, the family could be fined as much as $10,000 per rabbit beyond the first 50 bunnies that netted the family its first $500. Do the math (390 rabbits x $10,000 each) and, if they don't pay the initial fine, they could face additional fines totaling $3.9 million.
On tips from AC and Nancy."

As effective and practical as the house looks for such purposes, one wonders who would want to live in such an ugly home, especially given how unlikely a zombie apocalypse actually is. Fortunately, the house actually looks pretty appealing when opened up for everyday, non-apocalyptic living.
The home’s facade is made up almost entirely of windows, almost a necessity to add some openness and warmth to such an intimidating structure. Likewise, the open floorplan also keeps things from looking too confined, something which would also come in handy when the home is closed back up and you find yourself living in a concrete prison. A thick wall with a sliding, solid gate covers part of the property, but with the pics it’s impossible to tell if it surrounds it completely. On one side, though, we get a beautiful view of the lush lawn and many trees. That is, until you see a couple hundred zombies emerging from the green splendor in search of food.
For more ways to protect yourself, you could arm yourself with a Machete Slingshot, or protect against starvation with Zombie Jerky.

Art turned fatal for John Jairo Villamil, a thought provoking 25-year-old Colombian university student, who asphyxiated himself amidst a performance. For his act, Villamil covered his head with a garbage bag and placed his feet inside a bucket of water. His actions served as a personal critique of his hometown of Bogotá, Colombia which has been considered one of the most violent cities in the world. Since he had previously executed this piece without incident, many thought the heavy breathing and convulsion were part of the act. Villamil died at an ICU five days after being pronounced brain dead immediately following the incident. His mother, who at one point is said to have provided tips on how to make the performance more shocking, is now blaming the university for neglect.- Huffington Post

Staged photo? What the hell were those people watching so intently?: "
You’ve probably seen this photo of the President and his national security staff watching the “live video feed” of the Osama Bin Laden raid. Oopsie! Now it turns out there was no live video feed, which gives rise to the obvious question, was there a director standing just off camera saying, “OK, now everyone look really tense.”
The Telegraph UK did the work the American media couldn’t be bothered with:
Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, revealed there was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from cameras mounted on the helmets of the US special forces was cut off.
A photograph released by the White House appeared to show the President and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.
Mr Panetta said: “Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn’t know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information.
So strong. So reassuring. So noble. So 100% staged.
Are we being paranoid right wing bloggers eagerly making up nonsense about the Obama admnistration? Hardly. The International Business Times reports that other photos of the noble Commander In Chief were faked during the aftermath of the Osama raid:
The White House hotly debated whether to release photos of Osama Bin Laden after Sunday’s raid on his Pakistan compound, but when it came to the President’s own photos, there was only one way to go: staged.
While the photo that ran on many newspapers and websites the next morning appeared as if it were taken during Obama’s address to the nation the night before, it was actually the result of an elaborate post-speech production.
“As President Obama continued his nine-minute address in front of just one main network camera, the photographers were held outside the room by staff and asked to remain completely silent,” Reuters photographer Jason Reed explained in his blog.
“Once Obama was off the air, we were escorted in front of that teleprompter and the President then re-enacted the walk-out and first 30 seconds of the statement for us.”
Determining what’s real and what’s not becomes more difficult each day with this administration.
The photos may not be real, but the picture is becoming increasingly clearer.

After searching for 10 years without success. After 10 years of bashing the right for "enhanced interrogation". After 10 years of criticism for underground, behind-the-scenes, covert operations that go against the grain of everything that's American. After trusting the Pakistani government only to find that a house with 12-foot-tall cement walls surrounding its perimter, a house 8 times the size of any other house in the neighborhood, a house 100 yards away from the Pakistani Military Academy went unnoticed for FIVE years.
After all that, the current administration did exaxtly as the right had been recommending all that time and succeeded in a mission to (finally) kill bin Laden. All that kicking and screaming. All that preaching and lecturing. All that wasted energy and wasted time. It's as if the correct answer was staring them in the face all that time and they chose to ignore it. Of course, now that it worked, they're happy to take full credit for the entire thing. Well done.
So after all that time of dragging their heels, resisting cooperation, and incessantly criticizing the Republicans, Democrats do exactly what Republicans have been trying to do all this time and surprisingly and mysteriously succeed. Of course, now it's all different because... well... you know... "we're doing it".
To add insult to injury,
"One of the most gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory." This was John Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and Assistant to the President, describing President Obama's decision to launch the raid which resulted in the capture and death of Osama Bin Laden. How ON EARTH was this a gutsy call? I mean, OBL
Here's an example of classic Libspeak by the honorable and esteemed Cindy Sheehan:
Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, meanwhile, is among those who think bin Laden may be still alive and kicking. "I am sorry, but if you believe the newest death of OBL, you're stupid. Just think to yourself--they paraded Saddam's dead sons around to prove they were dead--why do you suppose they hastily buried this version of OBL at sea?" she asked.
"I am sorry"- She's not only not sorry, she's smug. Furthermore, ever notice how Libs avoid regularly used contractions (like "I'm") when they're trying to
Libs figure that if they start out with a
"the newest death"- Well, this one is rife with Libisms. First of all, "the newest" as if "What? This is the first rumor you've heard? Have you been living under a rock?" Of course, the only people who are "in" on the rumor mill are other Libs. They're the inner circle of the inner circle. The super-cool ones. This is precisely why they're better equipped to police your thoughts, decide what's best for you and to rule the world.
Secondly, "death". "Death"? Death what? I suspect that she meant "death rumor" but never finished her thought because "you know what I meant- c'mon". Of course, those of us who are paying attention know fully well that incomplete thoughts/sentences leave her an "out" later when she needs to cover her tracks. Again, the only people who fall for that tactic are other Libs (and those with medical amnesia).
|Snarky Helper Note: This is one of many examples|
of the left making exactly the same mistake that
"set off a twitter storm" when a FOX News affiliate
made the same mistake earlier this week.
"you're stupid"- This, of course, is the ol' standby of Libs although with its proliferation, you'd think it was the amuse-bouche of these literary top-chefs. Let's get this straight right off the bat- if you don't agree with the speaker, there is one and only one reason. It's not because you have your facts straight, it's not because you have common sense, and it's not because your idea of intelligent thought is logical reasoning. It's because you're STUPID.
"just think to yourself"- She's really just saying, "let me do your thinking for you and this will be painless and over very soon". Then she immediately follows with the conspiracy theory du jour. Furthermore- don't start thinking out loud cuz that could lead to an intelligent discussion and THEN WHAT????
