Karl Marx comeback

Marx’s Proposal Number Five seems to be the leading motivation for those backing the Wall Street bailout

By Martin Masse

In his Communist Manifesto, published in 1848, Karl Marx proposed 10 measures to be implemented after the proletariat takes power, with the aim of centralizing all instruments of production in the hands of the state. Proposal Number Five was to bring about the “centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.”

If he were to rise from the dead today, Marx might be delighted to discover that most economists and financial commentators, including many who claim to favour the free market, agree with him.

Indeed, analysts at the Heritage and Cato Institute, and commentators in The Wall Street Journal and on this very page, have made declarations in favour of the massive “injection of liquidities” engineered by central banks in recent months, the government takeover of giant financial institutions, as well as the still stalled US$700-billion bailout package. Some of the same voices were calling for similar interventions following the burst of the dot-com bubble in 2001.

“Whatever happened to the modern followers of my free-market opponents?” Marx would likely wonder.

At first glance, anyone who understands economics can see that there is something wrong with this picture. The taxes that will need to be levied to finance this package may keep some firms alive, but they will siphon off capital, kill jobs and make businesses less productive elsewhere. Increasing the money supply is no different. It is an invisible tax that redistributes resources to debtors and those who made unwise investments. More here:

McCain, trying to commit suicide.

I was listening to the radio today and I heard McCain say the following:

"Bipartisanship is a tough thing, never more so when you're trying to take necessary but publicly unpopular action. But inaction is not an option."

What this means to me is:

"I don't care what you say, I'm not listening." Just like he did with amnesty.

He just can't help himself. Maybe he's trying to push congress' 10% approval rating even lower.

Now I have to reevaluate my prediction that McCain was going to cream Obama. I'm about to vote for Obama just to teach these fuckstick Republicans a lesson. Stop voting for idiots in the primaries.

I like this Democrat

"We are now in the golden age of thieves. And where I come from we put thieves in jail, we don't bail them out." — Rep. Pete Visclosky, Democrat.

Sent three emails this morning

I sent an email to my representative and both my senators this morning.

I thanked my congressman for voting against the bailout and encouraged him to vote against it in any form if they bring it up again.

I wrote both senators and asked them not to support any form of bailouts.

Chavez, the economic genius

"Socialism is the only route to the salvation of the world."

Outspoken Chavez says Venezuela's socialist economic system, based around state-owned national champions, has protected it from the worst of the turmoil now roiling global markets.

The self-proclaimed Maoist was in China to boost oil sales and secure extra cash for development programmes in China. More here:

We should listen to the socialists and communists, they have all the answers. You know, until there's a huge, throat-cutting, revolution or a complete collapse of their economy.

Hey, Chavez, shouldn't you be trying to find milk and meat on your grocery store shelves?

Et tu, NYT Crossword Puzzle ?

Times puzzle is clueless about McCain

I am partly to blame.

On Jan. 8, 2005, I purposefully and unapologetically became the first person to ever construct a crossword puzzle for The New York Times that featured this five-letter answer:

Earlier this week, Steve Schmidt, John McCain’s senior campaign adviser, lambasted the Times for being “totally, 150 percent in the tank for the Democratic candidate.” The GOP, it seems, is finally catching on to a once-hidden truth:

Crossword puzzles heavily favor Democrats.

According to the puzzle database maintained by Cruciverb.com, ever since that game-changing day in 2005, OBAMA has appeared regularly as an answer in New York Times crossword puzzles. With its wonderfully convenient alternating series of commonly used vowels and consonants, OBAMA has been the answer to the clues “Senator who wrote ‘Dreams From My Father,’” “Future senator who delivered the 2004 Democratic convention keynote address” and “Presidential candidate born in Hawaii.”

But what about MCCAIN? Shockingly, not once has MCCAIN been an answer in a crossword in the New York Times, The Washington Post or the Los Angeles Times. No MCCAIN, no JOHNMCCAIN, no SENATORMCCAIN, not even his most recent sobriquet, the presidential-sounding JOHNSMCCAINIII. More at Politico

Geniuses in society

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- As if getting a DUI wasn’t enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station.

Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.

Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong.

Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.

We all know someone like this idiot. Everyone sees him pull up and then everyone looks at each other and groans. Then, suddenly, everyone has to leave ... "we were just paying our bill ... see ya around, jackass."

The "Stealth" Candidate

America's great "Educators"

It looks like educrats haven't yet managed to stamp out the last embers of patriotism in the next generation. From Dos Palos, California:

Students at Dos Palos High School protested Thursday — by wearing patriotic regalia to school — after a sophomore student was forced to remove a T-shirt depicting the American flag.

Officials at the Merced County school confirmed Thursday that Jake Shelly was forced to take off a red, white and blue tie-dyed American flag T-shirt on Tuesday. The shirt said nothing offensive, just: "United States of America, Washington, D.C."

The school's assistant principal issued Shelly a bright yellow T-shirt that read "DCV: Dress Code Violator" to wear for the rest of the day. He was given his shirt back after classes ended.

At least they didn't force him to wear a Che Guevara shirt for the rest of the day.

It isn't just patriotic shirts educrats want banned. They also don't like it when students express incorrect thoughts to the media:

Kaycee Shelly told members of the media at lunchtime that her brother was overwhelmed and did not want to do any more interviews.

Earlier in the day, he was speaking with a local news station when an unidentified teacher walked up to him, ripped off the microphone clipped to his shirt and told him he was not allowed to talk to the media.

Jake wore the shirt "as part of a hippie dress-up day." If the shirt had featured a marijuana leaf instead of an American flag, no doubt teachers would have smiled on it benevolently. From Moonbattery:

I'm so glad to have these "educators" in charge of teaching our children ... aren't you? Instead of teaching them "how to think," they teach them "what to think."

I love Democrats, don't you ?

It's not enough for Dems to do everything in their power to prevent us from using our own oil. They've also prevented us from using oil from Iraq.

Odious Democrat Senators Chuck Schumer, John Kerry, and Claire McCaskill were behind a move to prevent Iraq from doing business with American oil companies. As a result, the oil the Surge made available will be going to the communist Chinese instead.

Meanwhile, Congressional Dems are pushing "a provision to actively and permanently prevent exploration of nearly 90 percent of the Outer Continental Shelf and block energy production in the Inter-Mountain West."

What possible motive could they have? Maybe they really believe hamstringing our economy will benefit their sacred polar bears. Maybe treason is just an unthinking instinct with Kerry and colleagues. Most likely: they are deliberately laying the groundwork for a depression, which will enable a vast expansion of federal control over the economy.

This would also explain picking a presidential candidate whose election would all but ensure a collapse of the stock market. Obama wants to inflict "social justice" by jacking capital gains taxes through the ceiling. Needless to say, the period between his election and his taking office will be busy times on Wall Street, as everyone scrambles to unload their stocks before the new rates take effect.

With the stock market in ruins and our energy supply shut off within, the Dems will be in an excellent position to impose the New New Deal. From Moonbattery:

Yet, half of America votes for Dipshitocrats. I am in HELL.

NAY, on the bailout

WASHINGTON - In a stunning vote that shocked the capital and worldwide markets, the House on Monday defeated a $700 billion emergency rescue for the nation's financial system, ignoring urgent warnings from President Bush and congressional leaders of both parties that the economy could nosedive without it. The Dow Jones industrials plunged nearly 800 points, the most ever for a single day. More here:

FYI, my representative voted against the bailout -- and he's a Democrat. He's OK for a Democrat though, he votes against amnesty etc.

Anyway, they say they're going to try again. Good luck, jackasses. I suppose you think a huge drop in the stock market will cause people to abandon their principles and change their votes.

NAY, quothe I -- NAY !! -- Stick to your guns, people. NOW is NOT the time to sell your soul. Those bastards caused it and now they want US to pay for it. NO, quothe I, a thousand times NO!!! Teach them to stay the hell out of business -- OUT!

NOW is the time for the stock market to shake out -- not in another couple of years when we'll have to face this again (if they bail it out.) It's never enough for these communist fucks.

Oh crap, Michael Moore is against the bailout -- sort of.

Pelosi the Clown screws you again

So I woke up last night and turned on the news for a minute. There was Pelosi saying "this is not a bailout bill, this is not a rescue bill." I'd heard enough so I turned it off. Here were my thoughts?

1 - They passed a bailout/rescue bill.

2 - All the representatives were getting a kazillion calls telling them NOT TO PASS A BAILOUT BILL so they have to go on TV and say "this is not a bailout bill." they do this for one reason only. They think you're SO GD STUPID, you'll buy it. If they thought you had a brain in your head, they wouldn't look you in the eye and tell you the EXACT OPPOSITE of the truth.

3 - This is the worst congress in history.

This is pretty harsh

Joke jourrrrrnalist on 60 Minutes

Three Sundays ago, in a 60 Minutes interview CBS's Steve Kroft cued up Barack Obama with Sarah Palin's presumed lack of qualifications compared to him: “Does the fact that he chose as his Vice President someone who has less experience than you take that weapon out of his arsenal?” But on Sunday night, in a 60 Minutes devoted to new interviews with both Obama and John McCain, Scott Pelley also hit McCain from the same angle on Palin's qualifications, telling him “the criticism of Governor Palin is that she was a brilliant marketing choice for the campaign, but she's not well versed on the economy or foreign affairs,” before he demanded: “In your judgment, can you see her as President of the United States?” When McCain replied “Absolutely,” Pelley's voice betrayed astonishment as he fired back: “As President of the United States?” More at Newsbusters:

Ok, a couple of things.

1st of all, CBS/60 Minutes is perhaps the WORST when it comes to bias, yet McCain keeps letting them take shots at him and conservatives. Now, the libs, they won't even have a debate amongst THEMSELVES on Fox news. I guess McCain feels confident he can get in and swim with the sharks while the Dipshitocrats cluck about the barnyard with phony indignation.

2nd. Why didn't McCain say, "Yes, I can see her as President, Mr. Kroft. She is a governor, just like Bush, Clinton, Reagan, and Carter were before they ran for President ... you braying jackass."

Genius "professor" shut down mid-bray

University of Massachusetts officials yesterday quashed efforts by an Amherst campus chaplain to offer two college credits to any student willing to campaign in New Hampshire this fall for Democrat Barack Obama.

Chaplain Ken Higgins told students in a Sept. 18 e-mail, “If you’re scared about the prospects for this election, you’re not alone. The most important way to make a difference in the outcome is to activate yourself. It would be just fine with McCain if Obama supporters just think about helping, then sleep in and stay home between now and Election Day.”

Higgins added that an unnamed “sponsor” in the university’s History Department would offer a two-credit independent study for students willing to canvass or volunteer on behalf of the Democratic nominee. More here:

Excuse me, how do these braying jackasses get away with this? How come no "professors" are offering credit for campaigning for McCain? What the HELL is going on here? If one of my kids came home to tell me this kind of thing, I'd be making arrangements to meet with the department head. Luckily, the "college" was too embarrassed to let this knucklehead continue.

Tree sitters say "Raw-Roh"

Berkeley’s infamous tree-sitters have been hit with a rude surprise since they came down to earth: Judges are socking them with thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees.

Ironically, much of the money - which could total more than $10,000 per sitter - is going straight to the University of California, the very institution the tree-sitters were protesting as they tried to save a grove of trees outside Memorial Stadium.

“It’s really vindictive,” said an attorney for some the sitters, Dennis Cunningham. “They don’t have this kind of money.”

Maybe, but university lawyer Michael Goldstein isn’t making any apologies. “We’ve asked the judge to throw the book at them,” Goldstein said flatly.

UC Berkeley estimates it spent more than $800,000 on police and other security measures during the 22 months sitters were up in the trees. The university spent $40,000 alone on the scaffolding that went up around the final tree during the last day of the protest this month. From Little Green Footballs:

Uh-huh. And why is it ok for dipshit hippies to cost others money with impunity? Why, upon losing in court, don't they have to pay the money back? The University was forced ... FORCED .. to put up the money upfront and now these jackasses don't want to be responsible.

This is just horseshit. We need tort reform and we need it badly. When idiots like this pull these stunts, the rest of us have to pay. It isn't free.
Also, why was it necessary for the university to provide food and water to trespassing, naked, dumbass hippies? How is that "the law?" Any lawyers in the house?

Obama wins the debate - get on board

Everybody is talking about this poll from CNN declaring victory for Obama’s debate performance last night with an article titled “Round 1 in debates goes to Obama, poll says.”

Noah Pollak reads the fine print of the article and takes a few notes from deeper down into the specifics.

Buried way, way down at the bottom of the story — hopefully, one surmises, past the point where anyone would read — is the following:

The results may be favoring Obama simply because more Democrats than Republicans tuned in to the debate. Of the debate-watchers questioned in this poll, 41 percent of the respondents identified themselves as Democrats, 27 percent as Republicans and 30 percent as independents.

I’m far from being a polling expert, but this is obviously a slanted poll. A 14-point split between Republican and Democrat respondents? And what percentage of those “independents” were leaners for Obama? From Newsbusters:

Let me just add this: 90% of the time someone identifies themselves as independent, they're a lib. Libs are ashamed of being called liberal so they say "independent." Conservatives who aren't Republicans don't call themselves "independent," they call themselves conservatives.

Chris Mathews: "Can I blow Obama?"

During Friday’s post-debate coverage on MSNBC, Chris Matthews portrayed Barack Obama as appearing "more presidential" while he complained that John McCain "was crunched over, almost grumpy in physical manner," as he contended that McCain "may not have been presidential." Matthews also complained that McCain did not look at Obama at all during the debate, a theme which Matthews touched on repeatedly that night. Matthews: "[McCain] may not have been presidential, however. Not once tonight, in an hour and a half, did he look at his opponent. He was crunched over, almost grumpy in his physical manner. I think a lot of people will take that body language as contemptuous of his opponent. They won’t like it. Barack Obama, on the other hand, who kept agreeing with McCain, over and over again, saying I agree with the point you made, I agree with the point you made, looked more presidential, although I believe on points, he gave away too much." He gave away too much? You can really tell he's an objective jourrrrrnalist.

Matthews also characterized McCain as "troll-like" and "grumpy," and asked if Americans "really want to put up with four years of that," and described McCain as seeming "really contemptuous" of Obama. From Newsbusters:

Hey, Mathews, McCain barely looked at Obama? I can barely look at YOU. Would you like to know what it "means." It means I hate your guts, jackass. Who wants to look at someone who trashes America at every turn? Who wants to look at communist shitstains who want to tear down everything our founding fathers built. You should be thankful McCain resisted the urge to walk over and give him an atomic wedgie.

Communists say you must pay

Excerpts: The rest here:

One Republican said that the message from government officials is that “the economy is dropping into the john.” He added: “We could see falls of 3,000 or 4,000 points on the Dow [the New York market that currently trades at around 11,000]. That could happen in just a couple of days.

“What’s being put around behind the scenes is that we’re looking at 1930s stuff. We’re looking at catastrophe, huge, amazing catastrophe. Everybody is extraordinarily scared. It’s going to be really, really nasty.”

Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, said: “We hope sometime [Sunday] evening we can announce some kind of agreement in principle. We may not have another day.”

Rebel Republicans - who see Paulson’s proposals as socialism by the back door - were warned they will be responsible for causing an “amazing catastrophe” if they continue to oppose the plans, which would see taxpayers buy up the bad debts of failing banks. Instead they want an insurance scheme for banks, which would spread the cost to private enterprise.

This is what I love about Dipshitocrats. Republicans warned them this would happen. Dipshitocrats blocked the Republican's efforts. Now, the Dipshitocrats want to blame the Republicans. It's like the Dipshitocrats are all Alzheimer's patients with access to your bank account. "Woopsie daisy, we made another mistake, pay for it please."

Observations of the Klown

Excerpts - the rest here:

Racing to reach a deal before the markets open Monday, lawmakers met late into the night in the Capitol office of Pelosi. Paulson set up a sort of command center in the office of Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio), with legislators and staffers criss-crossing Statuary Hall as they shuttled back and forth. Yes, we must "make a deal" before capitalism makes the deal for us. We must (sort of) postpone the inevitable. We must do everything except STOP MEDDLING IN THE AFFAIRS OF BUSINESS.

As the talks neared 10 p.m., Paulson could be seen through the windows of Boehner’s second-floor office, sitting on a sofa flanked by aides in chairs around the room. Pelosi passed through a hallway with her son. Asked if a deal would come together before the night was over, she said, “I hope so.” Ok, I wouldn't work late at night like these idiots. They do it all the time. It's as if they can't get their work done during a normal eight hour day. Oh, wait, they only work Tues, Wed, and Thurs -- no wonder -- good work week, Pelosi.

Just before 11 p.m., Paulson, the two principal GOP negotiators – Blunt and Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) – Emanuel, Pelosi chief of staff John Lawrence and White House legislative affairs aide Dan Meyer walked into Pelosi’s office.

In a sign that negotiations were growing serious earlier in the evening, a Pelosi aide collected BlackBerrys from the staffers meeting in her office so that no details would leak out. "Collected BlackBerrys" -- sounds like she's making a pie. Anyway, she confiscated the BlackBerrys? Now ask yourself ... did she confiscate them to help YOU -- or to help her? How does confiscating BlackBerrys help/protect the public? Oh, here's how. No leaks mean you can't find out what the hell she's doing and then call in to tell her dumbass to stop it.

Just after 8 p.m., pizzas arrived at Paulson’s HQ in Boehner’s office. Democratic staffers ordered in burgers from Five Guys. The Klown is a huge fan of Five Guys burgers. DELISH !!

Lastly, I learned the BlackBerry is spelled with a capital B in the second syllable. Somehow, this means you don't spell the plural as "BlackBerries."

The Polls -- McCain shall lose

Yes -- all the polls are showing Obama (the dipshitocrat) winning.

Imagine that. Every poll since 1965 shows the Democrat winning -- and yet, they lose. Sure, Clinton won. Congratulations, jackasses ... if Ross Perot hadn't snagged 15-20% of the conservative vote, Clinton would have lost too.

Oh, hey, never mind about the Arctic pole ice melting away, we were WRONG. Also, never mind about our predictions (every year) that the hurricane season will be worse than ever, we're consistently WRONG. But you can believe us about Obama winning -- really.

These poll people CAN'T WAIT to get one right. Hey, maybe this will be your year, pinheads.

In case you were wondering

Hey Klown, what's your position on the "bailout?"

The Klown says "NAY" -- no bailout. No more bailouts, period. I love how they call these entities "GSE'S." GSE = Government Sponsored Enterprise. I love how they call it a "rescue bill." As if someone got himself in trouble by accident.

Government Sponsored Enterprise, my ass ... Call it what it is, it's a government-run business. Every Democrat who loves communism was involved. They were all making millions in bonuses. Just check/Google who was in charge of these "GSE'S."

My position is:

1 - Get the government out of business and keep it out.

2 - When people do stupid things, they should have to pay a penalty commensurate with their stupidity.

3 - If you elect representatives who disregard the tenets of capitalism and the intention of our founding fathers, then you should have to pay -- and pay DEARLY, jackasses.

4 - I'm a small businessman, I've made stupid mistakes, and yet, unbelievably, the government has never rushed in to give me any GD money !!

Oh, but Klown, this will be much cheaper, it will avoid disaster!!

Hey, genius economy dipshit, I don't believe you -- Got me? I think you're a GD IDIOT!! Got me? I don't care what you say ... you insist on forcing your idiot communist idealism upon me and then you insist I have to pay. SCREW YOU, ASSHOLE. Why do I keep having to pay for YOUR idiocy ... over and over and over? I'd rather take it out on your teeth with a baseball bat. Perhaps then, you'd learn.

Editorial "Pittsburg Tribune Review Feb 2008"

Young voters should have at least some historical perspective to sort through the razzle-dazzle and double-talk of presidential candidates. Sadly, many wouldn't know FDR's New Deal from a McDonald's Happy Meal.

A survey of 14,000 students at 50 U.S. colleges and universities reveals an abysmal understanding of U.S. presidents and key events of their terms. Nearly 54 percent of tested freshmen flunked. Seniors didn't fare much better.

We're not referring to rote knowledge of names and dates but an understanding of U.S. policies -- those that succeeded and those that ended up in history's dustbin. For example, Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal actually prolonged the Great Depression. And John F. Kennedy's tax rate cuts actually bolstered government coffers.

"If these kids don't know what has happened in the past, our history, then we fear they are going to be fodder for sweeping rhetoric," says Richard Brake, director of the Lehrman American Studies Center at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, which commissioned the survey.

And to be sure, there's no shortage of empty rhetoric in this year's presidential election.

From history can be gleaned lessons about presidents who "talked" -- and those who triumphed. Especially in an increasingly turbulent world, this nation can ill afford an ignorant bloc of young voters.

Douchebag Driver Gets Creamed

I don't know about the rest of you, but I quickly tire of the douchebags out there who think they can go where they want when they want whenever they want with no regard for the rest of us. It's as if they think their time is more valuable than ours and that they're in a much bigger hurry than we are.

If you're at all versed in automobile collision forensics, you'll notice immediately who was at fault. That's right- the guy whose car is at a 30 degree angle to oncoming traffic. He probably thought that if he was forceful enough, the truck driver would yield to him. He forgot to consider the possibility that the truck driver did not and COULD not see him if he was too close. See, trucks have giant blindspots. This is the reason they tell you not to pass on the right... like this guy tried to do.

This is what you get, douchebag:

Just to prove me right, he pulls his car over to the side of the road so as not to further block traffic. Notice how he continues being a douchebag by pulling over and still blocking traffic. It must have been the fear of death that prevented him from pulling his car all the way over to the side. Of course, it's his road so he'll do as he pleases, fuck you very much.

Josh Blue

Josh Blue has CP. He's a comedian. He competed on "Last Comic Standing" season 4, he's funny as all hell and he won. He competed against regular comics on a regular stage in front of a regular audience and received votes from regular viewers/voters. He didn't win based on sympathy, he won based on merit. The libs must revile him for this because they have no power over his destiny- only he does.

Somehow, nobody ever taught him to feel sorry for himself. Nobody ever taught him to be careful and stay safely away from a "normal life" with "normal people". Nobody ever taught him that he couldn't compete and that he wasn't good enough to live the life he pleased. Nobody ever taught him that he just can't do what normal people do and to sit by the wayside until his life was over.

It's just a guess- a LEAP- that his parents weren't Democrats.

Something tells me this other guy wasn't hobbled by Liberal parents either.

We all have disabilities. None of us are normal. Josh Blue is proof that sometimes when you have a goal, you just have to get there anyway. Leave the reasons why you can't to the dems and the libs.

Thanks, Dipshitocrats, thanks very much

Piece of shit gets sued - again

Another Marine Cleared in Haditha Case Will Sue Murtha

WASHINGTON, PA (KDKA) ― A local Marine cleared in the deaths of civilians in Iraq says Congressman John Murtha made public comments that were unproven, untrue and unfair.

Now, Lance Corporal Justin Sharratt is planning to file suit in federal court against Murtha on Thursday morning.

The suit accuses the congressman of slander and violating the Marine's right to a fair trial and due process.

Murtha's already being sued by other Marines cleared in the case.

This CNN story provides background into the Murtha line that started it all. If you'd like to assist Sharratt in his suit, his website has information on how to donate to his legal fund.

The pic is mine -- the rest is from:

I'm sure Murtha will attempt to use the speech and debate clause to defend himself in all these lawsuits ... because he's a piece of shit who refuses to take responsibility for his actions ... you know ... a Democrat.

More Stupid Shit from the left

While the focus has been on Sarah Palin since she was announced as John McCain's running mate, Barack Obama's number two has had quite a run. Joe Biden told CBS he thought an Obama campaign ad mocking John McCain as a computer illiterate was "terrible." Later, after actually seeing the ad, Biden said it was OK.

Then, Biden spoke of President Franklin Roosevelt's having gone on television after the stock market crash of 1929. But Roosevelt was not president in 1929, and television was not present.

Biden also said neither he nor Obama supports clean coal technology in America. But Obama does support clean coal. Obama also said of Biden's instant criticism of the government's big loan to insurance to AIG, "I think Joe should have waited ..."

Earlier, Biden said Hillary Clinton may have been a better vice presidential pick than he and said that paying more taxes is the patriotic duty of the rich. And, he encouraged wheelchair-bound Missouri State Senator Chuck Graham to stand up at a campaign rally

NBC Covers for Democrat - Again

KVOA, the NBC television affiliate in Tucson, boasts on its Web site that we're reading "Balanced News You Can Count On." That may be true. What's indisputable is, in at least in one instance, it doesn't provide all the news.

Today's case in point is the story, "Congressman's son caught smuggling immigrants," which begins:

TUCSON, AZ - The son of a U.S. Congressman from was arrested in Willcox Sunday, charged with human smuggling. According to court documents John F. Boyd son of Florida Congressman Allen Boyd, attempted to drive through a Border Patrol checkpoint in Willcox on Sunday with five illegal immigrants, including a 6-year-old girl.

In a statement sent Tuesday, Congressman Allen Boyd said, "On September 14, 2008, my 30-year-old son, John Boyd, was arrested in Arizona, and at a preliminary hearing yesterday, he was charged with alien smuggling."

"This is a family matter that my family and I will be dealing with privately. John is a grown man and must face the consequences for his actions, but he has the love and support of his family," says the elder Boyd.

OK, we know who the alleged perpetrator is, what he did, and that his father is a member of Congress. What we aren't told in the 7-paragraph piece is whether the congressman is a Democrat or a Republican.

Whenever party affiliation in such stories is left out, it's a no-brainer. Just as we know with certainty that Barack Obama doesn't leave home without his teleprompter, we realize that negative stories not identifying party ID invariably means a Democrat is involved.

From Newsbusters:

We're going to be in your FACE, neocons

In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," he said. Excerpts: The rest here:

Prepare for great patriotism

WASHINGTON - Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday that paying more in taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans. In a new TV ad that repeats widely debunked claims about the Democratic tax plan, the Republican campaign calls Obama's tax increases "painful." More here:

Yes, never mind that the "rich" will just raise my prices to pay for the increase. Thanks, dipshitocrats. Sounds GREAT to me.

When Knoxville Police found 25-year-old Richard Anthony Smith, they say he was trapped in an air duct about 45 feet below the roof of the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Unusual enough.

But it's what he said next--"Mission failed"--that would launch a tale of intrigue.

With help from the Knoxville Fire Department, officers pulled Smith from the air duct without injury. Then they asked him what he was doing.

A police report indicates Smith said he was a "special agent with the United States Illuminati, badge number 0931."

His mission?

One from "Director Womack," to "defuse and confiscate a Soviet-made MERV6SS-22AN warhead, with 14.5 kg of enriched uranium and a plutonium trigger, capable of delivering a 40-kiloton yield."

Police say Smith believed the device was concealed in a blue, plastic cow sculpture in the basement of the museum.

Smith was the first to tell police he was off-course however--the police report indicates he got a phone call from his "agency" while in the air duct, saying they had made a mistake, as the bomb is supposed to be hidden in a museum in Memphis.

"Thank goodness he had a cell phone and was able to call 911 and got out without getting injured, because it could have turned out much worse," said KMA Executive Director David Butler.

"You know everyone is laughing about it, and obviously concerned about this guy and his well being, and it was a serious situation, and we had to handle it as such," said KPD spokesman Darrell DeBusk.

The police report indicates Smith said he rappeled onto the roof from a CH2 Huey, but police believe he stood on an ash tray to get onto the stepped-design portion of the roof.

Smith called 911 himself, just before 4:30 Wednesday morning. He faces a charge of aggravated burglary.

One guess- Liberals or Democrats?

More Signs

More liberal genius action

Another genius liberal with a great idea

Jeffery Goldberg from The Atlantic Magazine is reporting that underhanded, leftist photographer Jill Greenberg has just been let go by her Representing Agency, the Vaughan Hannigan photo agency. This is a perfect example of a lesson of consequences. When Greenberg admitted that she lied and tricked John McCain so that she could manipulate his image to slander him and did so in the employ of The Atlantic Magazine, she lost any future work with that magazine for her unprofessional behavior. And now, more consequences have come her way.

No one is, of course, saying that Jill Greenberg isn't allowed to be as bigoted as she wants to be, but she should be ready to accept the consequences if she does so while acting as a representative for someone else. In this case she was representing The Atlantic Magazine when she was assigned to photograph McCain and then used her position to trick him into a situation where she could use his image for political attacks at a later date. From Newsbusters:

I couldn't find a pic of her on the web.

Obama goes after illegal alien vote

The Obama campaign has released new radio and TV ads in Spanish that seek to tie Sen. John McCain to anti-immigrant comments made by radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. The ads also suggest the Republican has "dos caras" -- "two faces" -- when it comes to his relations with Latino voters. The new messages, airing in Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, come in response to recent Spanish-language ads by the McCain campaign that suggest Obama is responsible for the collapse of last year's bipartisan immigration reform efforts.

"They want us to forget the insults we've put up with, the intolerance," the television ad's announcer says in Spanish as a picture of Rush Limbaugh appears onscreen with quotes of him saying, "Mexicans are stupid and unqualified" and "Shut your mouth or get out." More here:

Well, a couple of things:

1 - It sure sounds like they took Rush out of context. If so, Obama prolly did it by accident because he claims that kind of thing is beneath contempt.

2 - Spanish language ads? Think about it.

World's longest female pins

Obama tells commie snatch "Get lost"

On the heels of blasting John McCain's selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, Lindsay Lohan reportedly got a bit of a jolt from an unexpected quarter: the Obama-Biden campaign.

Apparently, LiLo was interested in becoming very involved in the Democratic ticket's bid for the White House -- even offering to host a series of events appealing to younger voters.

However, a top source in the Barack Obama team tells me the actress ''is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.''

Given Lohan's past problems, plus ongoing brushes with controversy, I've learned the campaign quietly told the actress ''thanks, but no thanks,'' but in far more diplomatic terms. More here:

Ohhhh, man. You have to be pretty low to be told "get lost" by Obama. I mean, he kicked off his campaign at the house of a TERRORIST (Bill Ayers)and he tells Lohan to take a hike. Ohhhhhh ... BURN !!!

Non-liberal economics

David Saied, former Securities and Exchange Commissioner for Panama, wrote an interesting article for the libertarian think tank Ludwig von Mises Institute about America’s economic myths. For example:

Myth # 1: "Dependence on Foreign Oil"

This myth basically suggests that the problem with oil prices is due to America’s "dependence" on foreign oil. One of the worst economic myths, it plays on economic nationalism and on xenophobic feelings that are sometimes pervasive in the United States.

The high price of oil has nothing to do with its origin; the price of oil is determined in international markets. Even if the United States were to produce 100% of the oil it consumes, the price would be the same if the worldwide supply and demand of oil were to remain the same. Oil is a commodity, so the price of a barrel produced in the United States is basically the same as the price of a barrel of oil produced in any other country, but the costs of labor, land, and regulatory compliance are usually higher in the United States than in third-world countries. Lowering these costs would help increase supply. Increasing supply, whether in the United States or elsewhere, will push prices lower.

Importing a product does not mean you "depend" on it. This is like saying that when we "import" food from our local supermarket we "depend" on that supermarket. The opposite is usually true; exporters depend on us, since we are the customers. Also, importing a product usually means buying at lower prices, whereas producing in the United States often means consuming at higher prices. This point is proven when we see the cheap imports we can purchase from China and the higher prices of many of these same products manufactured in the United States. The amazing thing is that the protectionists claim, on the one hand, that America should be "protected" from cheap imports, but when it comes to oil, they say we should be "protected" from "expensive imported" oil.

Most, if not all, of the higher price of oil can be explained by the expansion of the money supply or the debasement of the dollar. The foreign producers are not at fault; our national central bank is the culprit.

A couple of other myths here: Good economics lessons for libs.

How much do you want to bet this woman is a libertard?

I mean, for fuck's sake, animals are NOT people. Stop trying to humanize them and leave them the fuck alone. She doesn't want to share how she tortured the cat into eating with a fork because "it's a family secret". Well, it's no family secret that she's a douchebag. It's also no secret that cats would probably prefer not to have forks taped to their arms.

She only buys "the most expensive food on the market" for her cat. First of all, it's probably just the most expensive food she can pay for on the market. Second of all, expensive doesn't mean better- it just means it costs more. Learn to become a discerning shopper before you start acting like you're sophisticated about what you buy. Face it, the lowest level of consumer sophistication is to associate quality with price.

Typical Dipshitocrat Response

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday she worries that taxpayers could be left "holding the bag" with plans for a $700 billion government program to stabilize the country's distressed financial markets.

Interviewed on Tuesday morning on CBS's "The Early Show," she said she agrees that the situation is critical and that something must be done quickly. She said, "the house is on fire and we've got to call the fire department and put the fire out." But Clinton also said that Congress should not "give the Treasury a blank check" to straighten out the problem.

"What we also have to do is make sure that homeowners get some relief, that it's not just for the banks and the lenders," she said. Clinton added that "we also must begin to look at the root cause of this, which is these mortgages that people cannot afford."

The senator said she didn't think all responsibility for solving these problems should be vested in the Treasury Department, suggesting that "once we get through this immediate crisis," the country should look at some Great Depression-era type of governmental entity to deal with it. More here:

Yes, the government caused the crisis and what's her (Democrats) answer? ... More/bigger government. Sheesh. How are we going to get rid of these idiots? That's the Democrats' answer to all problems ... more/bigger government.

The Rest of the Meltdown Story

What in the world is going on here?

You’ve seen the headlines, and you heard of the failures and buyouts. Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Merrill Lynch, AIG; all big names and all in big trouble. Then those mysterious quasi-government agencies with names like Freddie and Fannie become wards of the state and you learn that you and your fellow taxpayers are potentially on the hook for tens of billions of dollars. At the end of the week Washington Mutual is looking for a buyer, and you start to wonder about the security of your own bank and your own savings account. Let’s change that ad copy to WaMu -- boo hoo.

Somewhere in the back of your mind you understand that this is all tied somehow to bad mortgages. If you start reading a bit further to enhance your understanding you run into terms like Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) and credit-default swaps, whatever in the world those are. Read further and you find out that a combination of falling home prices and mortgage defaults have put many investment banks and other financial institutions in deep puddin’. All this reading, all this watching the talking heads on TV, and you still don’t really know what in the world is going on here.

Fear not. I’m here to help. I know … I’m just another talk show host; but the fact is that when the stage was being set for the problems we’re seeing today I was making most of my money as a real estate lawyer .. closing loans for some of the very institutions that are the tank today. This rather unique combination – closing lawyer and radio talk show host – gave me a front row seat to the politicization of mortgage loans that led us to today’s headlines.

OK .. so we all know that a lot of really bad real estate loans were made. The political class would sure love for us to believe that the blame here rests squarely on “greedy” (try to define that word) mortgage brokers and lenders. The truth is that most of the blame rests on political meddling in the credit decisions of these mortgage lenders.

Twenty years ago the buzz-word in the media was “redlining.” Newspapers across the country were filled with hard-hitting investigative reports about evil and racist mortgage lenders refusing to make real estate loans to various minorities and to applicants who lived in lower-income neighborhoods. There I was closing these loans in the afternoons, and in the mornings offering a counter-argument on the radio to these absurd “redlining” claims. Frankly, the claims that evil mortgage lenders were systematically denying loans to blacks and other minorities were a lot sexier on the radio than my claims that when credit histories, job stability, loan-to-value ratios and income levels were considered there was no evident racial discrimination.

Political correctness won the day. Washington made it clear to banks and other lending institutions that if they did not do something .. and fast .. to bring more minorities and low-income Americans into the world of home ownership there would be a heavy price to pay. Congress set up processes (Research the Community Redevelopment Act) whereby community activist groups and organizers could effectively stop a bank’s efforts to grow if that bank didn’t make loans to unqualified borrowers. Enter, stage left, the “subprime” mortgage. These lenders knew that a very high percentage of these loans would turn to garbage – but it was a price that had to be paid if the bank was to expand and grow. We should note that among the community groups browbeating banks into making these bad loans was an outfit called ACORN. There is one certain presidential candidate that did a lot of community organizing for ACORN. I won’t mention his name so as to avoid politicizing this column.

These garbage loans to unqualified borrowers were then bundled up and sold. The expectation was that the loans would be eventually paid off when rising home values led some borrowers to access their equity through re-financing and others to sell and move on up the ladder. Oops.

Right now this crisis is being sold to the American public by the left as evidence the failure of the free market and capitalism. Not so. What we’re seeing is the inevitable result of political interference in free market economics. Acme bank didn’t want to loan money to Joe Homebuyer because Joe had a spotty job history, owed too much money on his credit cards, and wasn’t all that good at making payments on time. The politicians told Acme Bank to figure out a way to make that loan, because, after all, Joe is a bona-fide minority-American, or forget about opening that new branch office on the Southside. The loan was made under politicial pressure; the loan, with millions like it, failed – and now we are left to enjoy today’s headlines.

So … why aren’t you reading the whole story in the mainstream media? Come on, are you kidding me? Do you really expect the media to blame this mess on deadbeat borrowers and political interference in the free market when it is so easy to put the blame on greedy lenders and evil capitalists? Remember … there’s an election going on. One candidate is decidedly anti-capitalist. Do the math.

Timesonline very helpful and impartial

The pastor whose prayer Sarah Palin says helped her to become governor of Alaska founded his ministry with a witchhunt against a Kenyan woman who he accused of causing car accidents through demonic spells.

At a speech at the Wasilla Assembly of God on June 8 this year, Mrs Palin described how Thomas Muthee had laid his hands on her when he visited the church as a guest preacher in late 2005, prior to her successful gubernatorial bid. More here:

OOOoooo a one-time "guest preacher" -- you got her now, timesonline. Way to go. We probably shouldn't elect her because of that, right?

Hey, do you have anything on the guy who was Obama's preacher for 20 years? You know, the guy that says "God damn America" or "US of KKK A" all the time? NO? Maybe you haven't heard of it then.

McCain and the gang of 14

While I was working today, it occurred to me, McCain and the gang of 14 were responsible for defeating the "nuclear option" in the Senate a little while back. The nuclear option would have prevented Senators from filibustering all the judges nominated by President Bush.

If McCain gets elected, he won't be able to fill judicial vacancies due to his own idiotic "reach across the aisle." Now THAT'S ironing.

Alexander Hamilton foresaw this:
Excerpt from Federalist #75

It has been shown, under the second head of our inquiries, that all provisions which require more than the majority of any body to its resolutions, have a direct tendency to embarrass the operations of the government, and an indirect one to subject the sense of the majority to that of the minority.

And also this:
Excerpt from Federalist #26

IT WAS a thing hardly to be expected that in a popular revolution the minds of men should stop at that happy mean which marks the salutary boundary between POWER and PRIVILEGE, and combines the energy of government with the security of private rights. A failure in this delicate and important point is the great source of the inconveniences we experience, and if we are not cautious to avoid a repetition of the error, in our future attempts to rectify and ameliorate our system, we may travel from one chimerical project to another; we may try change after change; but we shall never be likely to make any material change for the better.

Got me, liberals? And look up "chimerical" on your own, dumbasses. (lol)

Dipshitocrats perpetrate drilling hoax

By Paul Kane
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Article here:

The House approved a package of energy initiatives yesterday, including measures that would allow oil drilling as close as 50 miles off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and finance the long-term development of alternative energy sources. (Never mind that 85% of the known reserves are INSIDE the 50-mile mark so oil companies won't bother even if it is legal.)

In the first substantive votes since gasoline prices rose above $4 a gallon this summer, the House divided largely along party lines, 236 to 189, with most Republicans rejecting the Democratic-sponsored legislation because it would prohibit exploration of much of the known oil reserves closer to the coasts and in the Gulf of Mexico.

As they reversed their long-held opposition to more offshore oil exploration, Democrats said the increased taxes on oil companies in the bill and the collection of royalty payments from the drilling would yield billions of dollars to help finance the development of cleaner, renewable energy sources. Increased taxes on oil companies mean one of two things, either it won't be profitable so the oil companies won't bother, OR, they'll just pass the taxes to you at the pump. Either way, gas won't be much cheaper. AND, if they increase the taxes, they'll NEVER decrease them, so you're stuck with them forever.

"We're not trying to give incentives to drill, we're giving incentives to invest in renewables and natural gas that will take us where we need to go," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) told reporters before the vote. Oh good, a communist telling me "where I need to go."

The legislation now moves to the Senate, where it will compete with three alternative proposals, each of which faces a difficult road to securing the 60 votes needed for passage.

If Congress does not act on the measures by Sept. 30, the current ban on offshore oil drilling will expire, and exploration will be allowed as close as three miles off all U.S. coastlines. In July, President Bush lifted an executive order that had blocked drilling on the outer continental shelf. Fight them, Republicans. Don't let them pass some half-assed crap disguised as a drilling bill.

Yesterday's action came two months after the average price of gas peaked at more than $4.10 a gallon, prompting Republicans to make offshore drilling one of their central political planks as they headed into the party conventions and the fall elections. But as Democrats buckled under the political pressure for more drilling and began assembling the legislation, oil prices began falling. The cost of a barrel of oil has dropped about $55, or about a third, from its peak this summer.

The unexpected boon of falling oil prices did little to change the tenor of the political debate yesterday. Pelosi brushed aside suggestions that lower prices would discourage more domestic drilling, in turn reducing the amount of money available for renewable resources.

"I think once you go past $35 a barrel, there's incentive for them to drill. It's not just about the drilling revenues, it's about ending the subsidies" and securing greater royalties, she said. I love how Pelosi (and Democrats) are always telling us what something is "about." They'll be talking about a subject and then they'll say "it's not about ... it's about something else." Listen for it when they talk. It's the new cool phrase. It's the new liberal mantra. It makes me puke when I hear it.

Republicans vowed to continue their push right up to Election Day for a more expansive drilling program and more funding for nuclear power, which was not included in the Pelosi bill. Someone tell me ... why do we need funding for nuclear power? Is it profitable? If so, why do we need funding? If it's not profitable, why do we need funding?

"The American people understand that we need an 'all of the above' approach to securing our energy future -- including drilling offshore, nuclear power, conservation and renewable energy," said Brian Rogers, spokesman for Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), a McCain supporter who favors more drilling, said the summer price spike was such a shock to consumers that they will demand increased domestic production to protect against future run-ups.

"The impact was so great this time, the American people said, 'Enough's enough, let's take back control,' " Burr said.

The legislation calls for drilling 100 miles off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, or beyond 50 miles if governors and state legislatures approve. It would repeal tax breaks given to major oil companies in a 2004 bill and would force companies to pay for leases given to them in the late 1990s for drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, a move that has saved them $15 billion over the past decade, according to Democratic estimates.

The bill requires 10 percent of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to be released into the marketplace and increases funding for home-heating assistance for the poor. No. The SPR is for national defense, not for giving away. If you want to give some oil away, fine, pass an appropriations bill and do it.

One piece of the legislation was added this week when Democrats agreed to allow new exploration of oil shale in the Mountain West if states agree to it.

Republicans and some industry experts contend that little new energy production would result from the legislation, because federal studies have shown that more than 85 percent of known offshore oil reserves are inside the 50-mile mark.

The bill would not allow the sharing of royalties from leases with states, something that could decrease the incentive for state governments to allow drilling closer to their coasts. Pelosi indicated some willingness yesterday to consider a compromise on that issue.

Calling the process "rigged," House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) protested the less-than-24-hour period between the legislation's unveiling and yesterday's vote, during which Republicans could not offer amendments. Ok, why to the Democrats always have to be involved in such treachery? What's the matter with a regular debate of ideas on the floor? What's the matter with allowing a reasonable period of time for letting people suggest amendments?

"The bill that's coming to the floor is nothing more than a hoax on the American people, and they will not buy it," Boehner said.

Well Mr. Boehner, if it's a hoax, and if the people know it, then why don't the people throw the perpetrators out on their asses the next election?

Barack Obama to win in Brazil

'People thought I looked a bit like him': Brazilian politician Henrique dos Anjos has changed his name to Barack Obama.

Walk into a polling station in Belford Roxo, an impoverished city on the fringes of Rio de Janiero, on October 5 and you will be faced with an historic choice. You could vote for Alcides Rolim, the Workers' Party mayoral candidate promising a "city for all" or Elizeu Pitorra, a local communist who believes it is "time for a change". Most voters, however, will probably opt for Barack Obama, a 39-year-old Brazilian who, until recently, was known as Claudio Henrique dos Anjos.

Welcome to Obama-mania, Brazil-style. Few countries have embraced the idea of the US's first black president as enthusiastically as Brazil, a country with one of the largest Afro-descendant populations on Earth yet where black faces remain a minority in politics. Obama T-shirts are everywhere while chat shows and newspaper columns are filled with talk of the 47-year-old Illinois senator.

Now even Brazil's politicians are lining up for their piece of the pie. Due to a quirk of Brazilian law, candidates are allowed to run under the name of their choice. As a result, at least six Brazilian politicians have officially renamed themselves "Barack Obama" in a bid to get an edge over their rivals in October's municipal elections. More here:

You know, every four years we have a presidential election. If there is not a Democrat in the White House, they campaign on "change." Seriously ... as if it's something new. Yet, the sheeple bite every time -- like a retarded fish that keeps getting caught and thrown back.

And notice that the Democrats won both house of congress last elections and they haven't done SHIT ... NOTHING ... NADA. This is the first congress since the 50's since neither house has passed a single appropriations bill. Well, they DID manage to block a vote on drilling before they left. What a great "CHANGE."

I ask you, if this had been a Republican congress, would not the media have been deluging you with this fact, day in and day out and in the middle of the gd night? Would not the Democrats have been running ads for months by now? Why aren't the Republicans doing so? It might even impact the presidential race. Am I in hell?

Of course, the idiot Republicans didn't do themselves any favors when they had the majority. Not only did they NOT do anything, they let McCain and the gang of fourteen block their attempts to end the filibuster of judges. What it's come down to is a contest ... which party is going to hurt America LEAST.

Right now, our only prayer is Sarah Palin.
