The Berkeley College Republicans are looking to get the same permit privileges that anti-war group Code Pink use to protest outside the Marine recruiting center in Downtown Berkeley.
Working with Councilmember Kriss Worthington, the group is asking for sound waiver permits and a parking spot reservation outside the center on Wednesdays from 12 to 4 p.m., the same time Code Pink protests outside the center, said Kimberly Wagner, activism chair for the Berkeley College Republicans.
“(Code Pink’s) claim is that they’re protecting free speech,” she said. “I kind of don’t feel they are, they are inhibiting the recruitment center in general. It’s important that they are not unopposed, that there are people willing to fight them. Even though it’s Berkeley, the liberal center of America, there will be people (opposed).”
Worthington is working to have the item appear on an agenda in May. More here:

The confession came from the leader of the conservative Liberal Party in Western Australia, Troy Buswell, who has previously owned up to snapping the bra strap of an opposition party staffer. More here:
I got brain damage from reading "conservative liberal party." I was reading the article real fast when BOOM, my eyes got in a huge wreck.
So -- it's going to get cooler over the next ten years and then warm up again, eh? You mean like it always does? Oh -- wait -- you said it will only be temporary cooling -- then back on the fast track to hell, right?
I wonder how it feels to never be humiliated -- no matter what. I guess this is what the liberal educations have given us -- complete dumbshits with self-esteem so great, they are incapable of feeling like an idiot.
Tuesday, it appeared they had changed the policy, but not before racking up a dozen health code violations.
"The bread was stacked sky high to the ceiling, plus it was only about 12 inches from the men's commode," said former customer Willie Jones.
Checker's goes through a lot of hamburger buns at its drive-thru restaurants. It's hard to even think about what might happen to those buns in a tiny, smelly and dirty bathroom. One customer told Eyewitness News he didn't like the manager's reaction to his complaint about the bread box-bathroom stall combination.
"'You got the bread in the men's restroom.' She got angry with me. She got T'd off and she locked the door," Jones said.
Health officials didn't settle for that solution, forcing the store to throw away all of it. Unfortunately, they don't know how long the Sanford Checkers kept both bread and cups in a bathroom that was quickly cleaned as Eyewitness News arrived Tuesday. An employee denied the bathroom-food storage system.
"Were you guys storing bread in there?" WFTV reporter Steve Barrett asked.
"No sir," the employee replied.
That employee and the bread delivery man seemed perplexed about where the bread should go Tuesday as an Eyewitness News crew looked on. They finally took it inside the kitchen.
"Do you ever see them put the bread you bring in the bathroom?" Barrett asked the delivery man.
"No comment," he said.
In all, the Checkers location was cited for a dozen violations, including nine "critical" violations. They were for things like storing food on the floor and having a faulty water treatment system.
The manager would not come out and talk Tuesday and no one called back from the corporate office for comment.
And it's a story with a dramatic, political ending. Republican President George W. Bush could have stopped it, but didn't.
If she were president, she says, she'd fight to protect those jobs. It's just the kind of talk that's helping her win support form working-class Democrats worried about jobs and paychecks, not to mention their country's security.
What Clinton never tells in the oft-repeated tale is the role prominent Democrats played in selling the company and its technology to the Chinese. She never mentions that big-time Democratic contributor George Soros (moveon.org) helped put together the deal to sell the company, or that the sale was approved by the administration of her husband.
"Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories," Ed Dixon of Valparaiso said in a letter to a local newspaper after a recent Clinton visit. "Her husband was president at the time and allowed this to happen."
"They would have us believe Bush was behind this sale," added Fred Sliger of Valparaiso in another letter, "when in fact the Clinton administration rubber-stamped this along with the sale of numerous other high-tech secrets to the Chinese. …Let's get the facts straight." More here:
What? A lib lying through their teeth to pander to dumbasses? I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot about this in the lib mainstream media -- hold your breath.
Governments added 76,800 jobs in the first three months of 2008, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports.
That's the biggest jump in first-quarter hiring since a boom in 2002 that followed the 9/11 terrorist attacks. By contrast, private companies collectively shed 286,000 workers in the first three months of 2008. That job loss has led many economists to declare the country is in a recession. More here:
This is what I love about *BIG GOVERNMENT* -- "when the economy is bad, they raise taxes, when the economy is good, they raise taxes." (Mark Levin)
The libs have been praying for a recession for years and THIS TIME, they thought they had it -- ohhhhh boy were they gonna blame President Bush. They were absolutely salivating at the prospect. But their asses were DENIED!
Don't you love how they really don't care about a recession -- everybody else cut back but we'll keep growing the government.
If you don't know who P.J. O'Rourke is, I encourage you to find out. I've read 5 or 6 of his books and they are very informative and entertaining -- although, he has a tendency to send you to the dictionary more often than I think is necessary.
Also, like Newt Gingrich, P.J. has said some dumb things lately. Here's a blurb.
P.J. O'Rourke - With more than 1 MILLION words of trenchant journalism under his byline and more citations in the "Penguin Dictionary of Humorous Quotations" than any other living writer, P.J. O'Rourke has established himself as America's premier political satirist. He is the best-selling author or 12 books, including "Parliament of Whores", "Give War a Chance", "Eat the Rich", "The CEO of the Sofa", "On Wealth of Nations" and "Peace Kills". Both Time Magazine and The Wall Street Journal have labeled O'Rourke as "the funniest writer in America". He is also the H.L. Mencken Research Fellow at the Cato Institute.
I posted the blurb after I posted the "send you to the dictionary" part. I had to look up "trenchant."
hard-hitting: characterized by or full of force and vigor; "a hard-hitting expose"; "a trenchant argument"
CNSNews.com) - Black clergymen are among those criticizing the Rev. Jeremiah Wright for saying that attacks on him are really attacks on the black church. The pastors say it is Wright's politics, not his race or religion, that has caused so much controversy.
"It appears he's made his career pandering to a certain constituency and it appears his chickens have come home to roost," said Bishop Council Nedd of the diocese of the Chesapeake, Episcopal Missionary Church in Harrisburg, Pa. "As clergymen, we have a mandate to preach the gospel from the pulpit, the good news of Jesus Christ. When you start preaching politics, it will lead to trouble."
Perhaps you'll recall that Jeremiah Wright used the "America's chickens have come home to roost" in one of his sermons -- I believe in reference to 9/11 or terrorism in general -- I'm not sure, look it up if you're curious.
Kenneth Hutcherson, senior pastor of Antioch Bible Church in Seattle, said Wright misrepresented himself by claiming that attacks on him are attacks on the black church.
"I didn't know Reverend Jeremiah Wright was the sole representative of the black church," Hutcherson told Cybercast News Service . "He was attacked for what he said, not because he represents the black church. And if he does represent the black church, he should be attacked."
Hutcherson added that he thinks African-Americans can learn something from what Wright has said. "I don't think black people as a whole will ever be free until they truly give thanks for America, not curse it," Hutcherson said.
I hope this couple learned their lesson not to keep salt water fish.
“And the next thing I know, a police officer is trying to get me out bed,” she said.
Adams, a 54-year-old former nurse who said she suffers from a bad back caused by a patient who attacked her a few years ago, was handcuffed. So was her 49-year-old husband.
“They brought us here and said once we clear that area, you can sit down and you will not speak to each other,” she said.
Police were executing a search warrant signed by Hennepin County Judge Ivy Bernhardson, who believed there was probable cause the Adams’s home was a meth lab.
“Ohmigod,” Adams said as she recalled police breaking down her door and flashing the search warrant. “I just kept saying to them, ‘you’ve got the wrong house.’ ”
So it turns out that this couple had a man from CenterPoint Energy in their home to install a hot water heater. The couple let him clean up in their bathroom where the husband keeps his fish tank supplies. The worker smelled the vinegar they use. He reports it to the police.
The police with NO other evidence nor surveillance ask for warrant to break down their door and scare the old people. This “judge” went ahead and gave them a blank check.
The energy company, the police and the judge have all proven themselves grossly incompetent. Probably the judge is the most to blame but the others screwed up as well. The couple is looking for a lawyer and I hope they vigorously pursue a lawsuit. Only through using our legal remedies are we going to stop this kind of insanity.
I said all three parties were idiots. Here’s more proof: The judge refused to talk to the press. The police agency said that their cops did everything just fine. And the power company said it would have been irresponsible for them NOT to do what they did.
A pox on all of their houses. They should be apologizing in every which way they can.
Insanity will continue -- all because "I can't admit I'm wrong."

"Our lives were in danger," she said. "Our lives were at stake, and our lifeline was severed."
Severed, she said, because during a recent call to 911, the operator fell asleep while she was on the line.
Action News 5 obtained a copy of the call through an open records request. It begins as Lisa calls 911 and a Memphis operator comes on the line. Lisa tells the operator she was robbed at gunpoint earlier in the evening, and that she now hears someone trying to break into our home.
"I just heard tapping on my window," she tells the operator. "I need somebody over here."
The line goes silent. As Lisa continues to explain her situation, the dispatcher does not respond - not for just 15 or 30 seconds, but for one full minute.
Then, sounds of snoring can be heard on the line.
"Are you there?" Lisa asks. More here
After Grant fired three times Monday from the doorway of the King IGA grocery store, manager Marino Hernandez made a split-second decision not to fire back.
"I was afraid he was going to keep shooting, but I already had in mind that he wasn't a good shooter," Hernandez said Tuesday.
Grant, 73, appeared Tuesday morning before Judge Nancy Perez, who ordered him held without bond while he undergoes a psychiatric examination.
Grant was a daily customer who'd never been a problem, said Hernandez, who manages the large supermarket at 1000 36th St.
On Monday afternoon, Grant and Hernandez argued after he tried to enter the store through the exit.
"I said, 'You know what? Take your business elsewhere,'" Hernandez said.
Grant then drew a handgun. Assistant manager Roberto Espinal, behind a side counter, drew his gun. When Grant turned that way, Hernandez pulled his gun.
It was 5 p.m., and the store was jammed with customers, loading up for dinner on their way home, who hadn't counted on a three-way, Wild West standoff.
Grant made the first move. He backed out of the store and started firing.
One bullet struck the front wall above the doorway, one hit the wall beside the door, and one imbedded in the ceiling over the cash registers.
One cashier, all of 16 years old, was on her first day on the job.
"A lot of chicken was left on shopping carts," Hernandez said. "Customers started screaming, going for the floor."
But, he said, "I'm a quick thinker. When I saw the first bullet hit high, right away I knew I was dealing with someone that was not a good shooter."
The two managers surrounded Grant as he backed into the parking lot, hid behind a car, and fired a fourth shot.
"He said, 'You calling the police?'" I said, 'Hell, yeah I am.'" Hernandez said. "I said, 'Put the gun down. Put the gun down. It's not worth it.' Then he said, 'You're going to beat me up if I put the gun down.' I said, 'I'm not going to beat you up.' "
Police then arrived and took Grant away. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, aggravated assault with a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm.
I noticed that the bad guy went ahead and bolted since everyone else had guns too. OH -- WHY -- WHY DIDN'T THEY KILL HIM?
"Struck"? How about "nudged"? Nevertheless, I googled it and got numerous results of numerous instances of people being "struck" by bulldozers. Who knows- maybe they were fat like Butterbean, fell over and could not get up and out of the way in time to avoid the 1.2 mph "collision".

The ad says President Bush has talked about staying in Iraq for 50 years, then plays a clip of McCain saying, "Maybe 100. That'd be fine with me."
At issue is McCain's answer, in January, to a question about Bush's theory that troops could be in Iraq for 50 years.
McCain said: "Maybe 100. As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, that'd be fine with me, and I hope it would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al-Qaida is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."
Democratic Party chief Howard Dean said "there's nothing false" about the ad.
"We deliberately used John McCain's words. This isn't some ominous consultant's voice from Washington. This is John McCain's own words. And we've been very upfront about everything that he's said." More here:
No -- nothing false about the ad at all, Howie. Very "upfront" indeed. I'm guessing, in your life, you've said the words "Put all the Jews in ovens." Of course, you didn't put them together like that, but you've used those words -- therefore, it would be honest and upfront to represent it that way ... Right, Howie?
This is what I love about liberals. It's never about honest ideas and debate, it's only about winning -- at all costs -- even lying, cheating, defaming, and character assassination. Do you understand -- there is NO limit to how low we'll go to win -- NONE!
But now the institution in Fort Collins, Colo., where he has worked for nearly half a century, has told Gray it may end its support of his seasonal forecasting.
As he enters his 25th year of predicting hurricane season activity, Colorado State University officials say handling media inquiries related to Gray's forecasting requires too much time and detracts from efforts to promote other professors' work.
But Gray, a highly visible and sometimes acerbic skeptic of climate change, says that's a "flimsy excuse" for the real motivation — a desire to push him aside because of his global warming criticism.
Among other comments, Gray has said global warming scientists are "brainwashing our children."
Now an emeritus professor, Gray declined to comment on the university's possible termination of promotional support.
But a memo he wrote last year, after CSU officials informed him that media relations would no longer promote his forecasts after 2008, reveals his views:
"This is obviously a flimsy excuse and seems to me to be a cover for the Department's capitulation to the desires of some (in their own interest) who want to reign (sic) in my global warming and global warming-hurricane criticisms," Gray wrote to Dick Johnson, head of CSU's Department of Atmospheric Sciences, and others. I love how the libs are always so concerned about free speech ... you know ... unless you disagree with them.

In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana's strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to prevent fraud.
Hey -- DEMOCRATS -- if you can ask someone to show an ID to drive, or to buy beer or cigarettes, then why not for voting? Aren't you deterring poor, older, and minority peeps from driving? Or don't you care about that? The Klown suspects you only care about cheating and getting fraudulent votes.
It was the most important voting rights case since the Bush v. Gore dispute that sealed the 2000 election for George W. Bush. But the voter ID ruling lacked the conservative-liberal split that marked the 2000 case.
The law "is amply justified by the valid interest in protecting 'the integrity and reliability of the electoral process,'" Justice John Paul Stevens said in an opinion that was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy. Stevens was a dissenter in Bush v. Gore in 2000. Since when do the libs care about integrity or reliability?
Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas also agreed with the outcome, but wrote separately.
Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter (All libs) dissented, just as they did in 2000. More here: Bray, you liberals, bray. You notice? -- Right and wrong ... common sense ... it never matters with a lib ... the only thing that matters is crushing the constitution so they can steal your money and liberty.
The case concerned a state law, passed in 2005, that was backed by Republicans as a way to deter voter fraud. Democrats and civil rights groups opposed the law as unconstitutional and called it a thinly veiled effort to discourage elderly, poor and minority voters—those most likely to lack proper ID and who tend to vote for Democrats. Um -- don't you mean "discourage people who are illegal or too stupid to get the proper ID, who tend to vote for Democrats?" Yes, I think that's EXACTLY what you mean.
What kills me though, is here are nine lawyers in black robes, all with impeccable educations -- supposedly upholding the constitution of the United States -- and three of them (libs) are so fuckwitted that they don't want people to prove citizenship before voting or registering to vote. I mean, Jeez Louise, just how stupid ARE they. It's a wonder they don't wear helmets. Hey -- I wonder if the conservative justices cut the corners off of sheets of paper for the lib justices so they don't poke themselves by accidink.
The basement area consists of a very narrow hallway and several rooms, said Franz Polzer, head of the Lower Austrian Bureau of Criminal Affairs, on Austrian TV.
Authorities accessed the area after the father told them how to unlock a hidden door using a code only he had known.
Detectives say Elisabeth Fritzl had been missing since August 29, 1984.
Now aged 42, the woman was found after a tip-off to police. Her 73-year-old father Josef Fritzl has been arrested and is being held in custody. Speaking from outside the house, Sky's Greg Milam said: "The fact that police have been able to get inside that cellar is significant.
"It means they have a better idea of what Elisabeth Fritzl was going through.
"But it also means the father is talking to police."
The case came to light after one of the children was taken to hospital in the town of Amstetten.
The youngster, 19-year-old Kerstin, was said by police to be "gravely ill".
Elisabeth told police her father began sexually abusing her when she was 11 and he locked her up in a room in the cellar on August 28, 1984.
During the 24 years that followed, she said she had six children by him.
The seventh child was a twin who died shortly after birth. Josef Fritzl removed the body and burned it.
The two oldest children, aged 18 and 19, and the youngest aged 5, had been locked up with their mother since birth and had never seen sunlight or received any education, police said. Holy smoke.
Josef's wife Rosemarie had been unaware of what happened to her daughter and it was assumed she had disappeared voluntarily when her parents received a letter from her saying they should not search for her.
Three of Elisabeth's younger children were each left on her parents' doorstep, the first accompanied by a letter saying she could not look after the baby herself.
All were taken in by Josef and his wife as foster or adopted children and went to school as normal.
Police said Elisabeth only agreed to talk after the authorities promised she would not have to have see her father again and the children would be taken care of.
The mother and children are now being treated in hospital by a team of psychologists.
Broderick Lloyd Laswell says he isn't happy that he's down to 308 pounds after eight months in the Benton County jail. He has filed a federal lawsuit complaining the jail doesn't provide inmates with enough food.
According to the suit, Laswell weighed 413 pounds when he was jailed in September. Police say he and a co-defendant fatally beat and stabbed a man, then set his home on fire.
"On several occasions I have started to do some exercising and my vision went blurry and I felt like I was going to pass out," Laswell wrote in his complaint. "About an hour after each meal my stomach starts to hurt and growl. I feel hungry again." Boo-hoo, nitwit.
But Laswell then goes on to complain that he undertakes little vigorous activity.
"If we are in a small pod all day (and) do next to nothing for physical exercise, we should not lose weight," the suit says. "The only reason we lost weight in here is because we are literally being starved to death."
The suit also asks that the county be ordered to serve hot meals. The jail has served only cold food for years.
The meals, provided through Aramark Correctional Institution Services, average 3,000 calories a day, jail Capt. Hunter Petray told The Morning News of northwest Arkansas for a story Saturday.
A typical Western diet consists of 2,000 to 3,000 calories a day. More of his whining here:
Here's what the shitstain looks like.
Hey -- BRODDDDDERICK -- if the Klown were in charge, he'd carve a baseball bat to look like a huge stalk of celery, paint it green, and then beat your last remaining brain cell out and give it to you on a plate -- bon appetit, dumbass.

In this test, they show you a few pics and then one comes up with a guy in it. (White guys & black guys) The guy may have a gun or a cell-phone or a wallet etc. You have to pick quickly whether to shoot him or holster your gun.
It takes a minute to load -- doona try it on dial-up. If you're too slow, you get points deducted. I did it one time. Here's my score.
I killed those armed guys with abandon and in no time flat, so -- FUCKETH NOT with the Klown -- and so forth. Anyway -- according to MY results on this test, you'll get about 1/10 of a second older if you're a white guy.
According to a Yale "study"

Well - a few things leap to mind.
A-Why isn't ammonia on the list?
C-Dry catfood? I don't think I've ever smelled it.
RENO, Nev. (AP) - Scientists urged residents of northern Nevada's largest city to prepare for a bigger event as the area continued rumbling Saturday after the largest earthquake in a two-month-long series of temblors. Ok -- prepare -- got it -- *starts walking with greater balance*
More than 100 aftershocks were recorded on the western edge of the city after a magnitude 4.7 quake hit Friday night, the strongest quake around Reno since one measuring 5.1 in 1953, said researchers at the seismological laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno.
The latest quake swept store shelves clean, cracked walls in homes and dislodged rocks on hillsides, but there were no reports of injuries or widespread major damage.
Seismologists said the recent activity is unusual because the quakes started out small and continue to build in strength. The normal pattern is for a main quake followed by smaller aftershocks.
"A magnitude 6 quake wouldn't be a scientific surprise," John Anderson, director of the seismological lab, said Saturday. "We certainly hope residents are taking the threat seriously after last night." OOooo -- it could continue and a big one wouldn't be a surprise?
But Anderson stressed there was no way to predict what would happen, and said the sequence of quakes also could end without a major one. OOooooo -- it could end at any minute? Hey -- Thanks for NOTHING, Poindexters. Just say "how are we supposed to predict the unpredictable?"
Ohhh you can't say that? Why? Because all the dumbasses in the world are gonna line up and chant their mantra -- "What are we gonna do (i.e. How much of Klown's money are we going to spend) to make sure this NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.
I tell ya -- when I hear some dipstick say those words, I'm thinking "get hit by a bus -- get hit by a bus."
Among other things, scientists urged residents to stock up on water and food, to learn how to turn off water and gas, and to strap down bookshelves, televisions and computers. Ok -- I'm panicking -- going to get batteries, food, and water -- also -- I'm getting all of my TV and computer straps out of storage right now -- OUTTA MY WAY, DONKS.
The "Reverend," Asshat Racebaiter Sharpton, was present to ensure justice is done and to collect any loose money.
NEW YORK (AP) - Hundreds of angry people marched through Harlem on Saturday after the Rev. Al Sharpton promised to "close this city down" to protest the acquittals of three police detectives in the 50-shot barrage that killed a groom on his wedding day and wounded two friends. Yes -- often the police fire 50-bullet barrages by mistake. You know -- you're playing with your gun and then, all-the-sudden -- bang bang bang - it's going off -- it's outta control.
"We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians," Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his National Action Network office in the historically black Manhattan neighborhood. "This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell." Uh-huh -- but is it ok for the police to shoot armed, guilty, serial criminals if they bash into cars and try to run them over after they were told to stop? The Klown (and the jury) says yes. (Excerpt from wcbstv.com - Defense attorneys had said there was evidence that Bell was drunk and "out of control" when he left the club. Witnesses overheard Bell exchange curses with another patron, and heard one of the passengers in the car, Joseph Guzman, who was also shot, say to someone, "Go get my gat," slang for gun. They had also argued Bell had tried to run over Isnora with his car. The rest here:)
Sharpton was joined by the family of 23-year-old Sean Bell - a black man - and a friend of Bell who was wounded in the 2006 shooting outside a Queens strip club. Two of the three officers charged were also black.
Sharpton urged people to return for a meeting this coming week "to plan the day that we will close this city down" with the kind of "massive civil disobedience" once led by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. More here:
I love how this guy is constantly invoking the name of MLK to justify his stupid actions. For many years now, I've noticed lots of peeps (mostly jourrrrrnalists and activists) invoke words like MLK, Child Abuser, Hitler, Rape, Genocide, Greedy-Evil-Rich (henceforth, I shall call them the "Greevil Rich), etc etc to try to set the stage for whatever crap they're pushing. Usually, it's ridiculous exaggeration of their situation but nobody ever questions it. It's hysterical to me -- and I think it explains a lot of my contempt for the sheep.
If you've forgotten what happinked in this case, here is a brief overview.
At the time Bell was holding his bachelor party at Kalua Cabaret, a venue ("venue" -- lmao -- and, as Wombat pointed out, the media always breezes past the fact that this is a STRIP CLUB - so I shall help them out for the rest of the article) that was being investigated by seven undercover police detectives. The owners of the club (TITTY BAR) had been repeatedly accused of fostering prostitution.
The New York Post reported that, according to an unnamed undercover officer, Guzman had an argument inside the club (STRIP CLUB WITH HOOKERS) with a woman and threatened to get a gun. One of Bell's friends was heard to say "yo, get my gun" as they left the scene(OF TOPLESS DANCERS) Fearing a shooting was in the making, the Undercover Detective followed them to their car while alerting his Backup team that they were possibly retrieving a gun from the car, prompting the team to confront Bell and his companions before they could leave the scene (STRIP CLUB.) The undercover officer followed the group and Bell was ordered by the officer to raise his hands after getting in his car. Instead, Bell accelerated the car and seconds later hit an unmarked police minivan. A toxicology report reportedly showed that he was legally drunk at the time of the shooting.
Bell held odd jobs after the birth of his daughter. His fiancée, Nicole Paultre, told Larry King that Bell was an electrician by trade and in between jobs when the shooting occurred. Bell had been arrested three times, twice for drug dealing and once for a firearms possession. In all cases, he was released on his own recognizance. The New York Daily News reported that, according to unnamed law enforcement sources, Bell sold crack cocaine twice to a confidential police informant in August of 2006. Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield, who were also shot in the incident, had been arrested nine and three times, respectively, each having been arrested at least once for illegal firearm possession. Benefield was subsequently arrested during a gambling raid in Harlem after attending the funeral of James Brown, and again on September 25, 2007 for hitting his child's mother. His latter arrest resulted in him pleading guilty on October 12, 2007 to a lesser charge, and accepting a conditional discharge along with counseling.
By the way - I went to the Family's website. They are accepting contributions.
UPDATE: - LMAO
I'm not going to take the time to explain this -- you either get it or you don't.
Some guy posted this here:
Limbaugh vows to close down New York City!!
Actually it is Al Sharpton and Limbaugh has yet to comment on it, But since this is just how the Denver riots brouhaha got started, I believe that if Limbaugh goes on the air Monday and says that he hopes that they follow through, our local libs will again unleash their foam-flecked bile, ignore Sharpton’s role again and try to place all the blame on Limbaugh.
Actually I hope that he does. Limbaugh realizes that liberals are so predictable, that he can simply express a desire that they do what they are claiming that they plan to do and they will expose themselves as the fever swamp dwellers that they are.
The hostages were handed over to the Revolutionary Guards by their Iraqi kidnappers last November, the sources believe. One of the sources said they were being held in the western Iranian city of Hamadan.
If confirmed, the involvement of Revolutionary Guards would be seen as evidence that senior figures in the Iranian government had backed the decision to hold them in the country.
However, British officials said that while there had been rumours that the five were in Iran, they had seen no evidence to support the idea.
One of the sources, who has close links to the Revolutionary Guard, said the captors were looking for a face-saving way of freeing them. They have suggested the hostages write to church leaders in the UK asking for assistance in gaining their release, the source said.
Huh? Looking for a face-saving way of freeing them? Why? You cant admit you screwed up?
The Klown thinks this is one of the main reasons for ridiculous situations in the world ... peeps can't admit they screwed up. Just ask the peeps down there in Texas where they snagged all those kids from their parents and now they DAMN WELL BETTER find themselves a witch.
I need a name for this situation so I can point it out when I see it. Any suggestions?

Their investigation included questioning the 51-year-old truck driver, who was briefly hospitalized after the accident during the Friday evening rush hour.
The driver, who authorities said tested negative for alcohol, was led away in handcuffs after he was released from a hospital Friday night. He had not been charged with any crime as of Saturday morning, said police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak. She declined to identify the driver. More here:
Declined to identify the driver? Why?
Prolly because you MO-RONS might speculate if you learn his name is Kareem ZeeInfidels Fo Allah.
But the broad sweep - from nursing infants to teenagers - is raising constitutional questions, even in a state where authorities have wide latitude for taking a family's children.
The move has the appearance of "a class-action child removal," said Jessica Dixon, director of the child advocacy center at Southern Methodist University's law school in Dallas.
Constitutional experts say U.S. courts have consistently held that a parent's beliefs alone are not grounds for removal. More here:
I sure hope they use the "but everyone ELSE was pointing and hollering 'witch,' I just assumed they were witches -- you can't blame me" defense.
Authorities are investigating whether the calls came from a woman in Colorado who has a history of making fake calls, but CPS officials and legal experts say the outcome of that investigation will likely have little bearing on the custody case, given that authorities went to the ranch believing the calls were legitimate and then found possible evidence of abuse.
I think I'm going to start calling "he/she has drugs in their house" information into the police and have them go and do thorough searches on the houses of libs. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something just isn't right about this whole thing.
This video is 7 minutes long and he does it three or four times -- but you'll get the gist of it in the first 90 seconds.

April 25 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. business-jet owners would pay 65 percent more in fuel taxes to finance federal air-traffic control upgrades, under an agreement among Senate leaders. More here:
But don't worry -- those corporate fat-cats won't raise your prices to pay for it.
"A lot of people said it was bees and ran to their cars," restaurant owner Oxie Ochiana said. "It was scary. I was panicking. I didn't know what to do."
Witnesses said the bees began to swirl like a tornado and menace customers Thursday.
"I looked and it was like a tornado of bees just all around our parking lot, swarming," said restaurant worker Marie Olson.
A crowd formed at a distance to watch the cloud of bees.
"It was crazy," Olson said. "I was shocked. I was surprised to see it. I don't know where they came from, so it was amazing to actually see them like that. It was awesome."
State bee experts said the bees, which were moving from tree to tree, are now resting because they have formed two huge cone-shaped swarms in a tree.
Experts said the bees would likely move out about 24 hours after forming the cones.
However, Ochiana called beekeepers to remove the cones from nearby trees Thursday night.
What next -- is it going to rain fireants?
Sheehan was at San Francisco City Hall on Friday to take out papers for her independent run for Congress, but without those signatures from voters in the district, her name won't show up on the ballot.
"It's an uphill battle," said Sheehan, who vowed to run against Pelosi in July after the speaker refused to start impeachment proceedings against President George Bush. "But I'm excited about the signature-gathering process. It's going to be an opportunity to talk to people about our campaign." More here:
Hmmmm - are the people of San Francisco SOOOOO stupid that they will replace their very powerful (Speaker of the House) congresswoman with Cindy Sheehan?
The legislation, passed by the State Duma 339-1, is the latest attempt by the government to squeeze the country's increasingly embattled news media.
The bill allows authorities to suspend and close down media outlets for libel and slander -- punishment that is identical to that for news media found to be promoting terrorism, extremism and racial hatred.
It also expands the definition of slander and libel to "dissemination of deliberately false information damaging individual honor and dignity."
The legislation will be considered in two more readings before heading to the upper house of parliament, where approval is likely, and then goes to President Vladimir Putin for signing.
Putin has presided over a steady rollback of post-Soviet media and political freedoms. Major national television networks have come under the control of the Kremlin or its allies, and Russia's print media have also experienced growing official pressure. More here:
Yes -- in the US, we just bitch about idiot jourrrrnalists who use their "free speech" to deliberately mislead -- but the commies put their asses in jail.

The Rev. Adelir Antonio de Carli has been missing since Sunday, when he lifted off from the port city of Paranagua strapped to 1,000 balloons and wearing a helmet, an aluminum thermal flight suit, waterproof coveralls and a parachute. More here:
Never mind nicotine patches - a DIY patient is using cigarette packets to cover up a gaping hole in his chest.
Rao Jiacang plastered the packets over himself after running out of money for crucial heart surgery.
Somehow he has survived for ten years, despite his beating heart being gruesomely visible through the paper folds.
Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur.
Rumors of penis theft began circulating last week in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo's sprawling capital of some 8 million inhabitants. They quickly dominated radio call-in shows, with listeners advised to beware of fellow passengers in communal taxis wearing gold rings.
Purported victims, 14 of whom were also detained by police, claimed that sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear, in what some residents said was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure. More here:
Scalia was interviewed for the CBS News show "60 Minutes," an appearance timed to coincide with the publication on Monday of the book he coauthored, "Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges."
In the past, the 72-year-old Scalia, who was appointed to the court in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan, has cited his "First Amendment right not to speak on the radio or television when I do not wish to do so."
In 2004, his security detail forced two reporters in Mississippi to erase tape recordings of a speech he gave. Scalia later apologized and said his policy was aimed at the broadcast media, not print reporters who record his speeches to write accurate stories.
Perhaps it has to do with being "in public?" but surely his speeches are done "in public." What's the call here? Anybody have a lawyer friend?
And in 2006 when a Boston reporter approached him after a mass and asked whether lawyers might question his impartiality in church-state matters, Scalia flicked his fingers under his chin in a well-known dismissive gesture.
Also -- that guy looks gay to me -- just sayin'.
I found this at a slideshow called "When it was out to be out".

We in Denmark cannot figure out why you are even bothering to hold an election.
On one side, you have a bitch who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a bitch who is a lawyer.
On the other side, you have a true war hero married to a woman with a huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.

In primary school, the weekly class hours will increase by one class hour at each of the six grades in the 2009 school year that starts on April 1 that year.
In the 2009 year, fifth-graders in primary school will learn how to calculate the area of a trapezoid, an item that was cut out in the current curriculum guideline. In the 2010 year, fifth-graders will learn how to calculate the volume of a cube.
In junior high school, class hours on mathematics and sciences will be gradually increased during the four-year transitional period. Third- year junior high school students in the 2009 school year will learn ions in chemistry, while those in the following school year will learn how to solve a second degree equation using the quadratic formula. The Klown lived in Japan for three years. The Japanese people treated us great. I consider it a privelege to have lived there and I loved the time I spent there. As I recall, the Japanese kids also had to go to school a half a day on Saturday.
A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage.
Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
A New York Times reporter watches the whole scene, and addressing the biker, says, 'Sir, that was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.'
'Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars, I just saw this little kid in danger, and I did what I thought was right.'
'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist from the New York Times, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this on the first page. What motorcycle do you ride and what political affiliation do you have?'
'A Harley Davidson and I am a Republican.'
The journalist leaves.
The following morning the biker buys The New York Times to see if it covered what he did and it reads, on the first page: "Republican Biker Gang Member Assaults African Immigrant And Steals His Lunch."
Donating their papers? They must have all bought pipes.
The front door of the European news bureau of the state-owned Radio France displays a bumper sticker reading "Capitalism … the social disease."
Recently, a WND correspondent visited the impressive edifice of Radio France, located at the Maison de la Radio, a round building situated in the center of Paris.
All radio stations were nationalized when Nazi Germany invaded and occupied France in World War II. When France was liberated by the Allies in 1944, the new government retained a monopoly on broadcasting.
It was not until 1955 that the French heard any commercial, non-government broadcasts – at first only from the Sarre region of Germany, which had been freed from French occupation that year. Later, in 1981, President Francois Mitterand pushed the first licensing of non-state radio – though initially it was all subsidized by taxpayers. Private radio as it is known in the U.S. was unknown in post-war France until 1986.
Hey -- Marxist Frenchie jackass -- you think socialism is so damn great? All your little social "programs" so wonderful? Who do you think pays for them? Uh -- no -- it's not "you." The socially diseased capitalists in America pay for them.
I love it when broke-ass commie countries bad-mouth America and then demand free food and money from us.
If you (and the rest of Europe) had to pay to defend yourselves, you wouldn't have two marks to rub together you no-bathing ingrates. Never mind that though -- because French socialists can't think beyond the end of their long effing noses. One would think you'd get a whiff of humility walking around all day with those big honkers in the air.
Well -- since the Klown is a "helper" -- here's an introduction for you from Ann Coulter -- do more research on your own if you're so inclined. Here's what these crusty-assed hippies (Ayers and Dohrn) look like. I love the earrings and "Cuba" t-shirt on Bill Ayers. I wonder if he figures these make him look attractive -- or maybe "rebellious" -- you know -- all "cool" peeps like to rebel. There's nothing cooler than a 60-year-old guy trying to look cool.
Asked why he would be friends with the likes of Weatherman Bill Ayers, Obama said: "The notion that ... me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense."
That's a slick answer -- even "Clintonian"! -- but the problem is, Ayers and his Weatherman wife, Bernadine Dohrn, won't stop boasting about their days as Weathermen.
It's not simply that they haven't repented. To the contrary, those were their glory days! And Ayers isn't just someone who lives in the neighborhood: He and Dohrn were there at the inception of Obama's political career, hosting a fundraiser for Obama at their home back in 1995.
Besides wanton violence, including a dozen bombings of buildings such as the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, historic statues and various police stations, the Weathermen's "revolutionary" activity consisted primarily of using the word "motherf-----" a lot, dropping LSD, coming up with cutesy phrases -- like "the Weather Underground" -- and competing over who could make the most offensive statements in public. (I also believe Dohrn may have set the North American record for longest stretch without bathing.)
At one rally, Dohrn famously praised the Manson family for murdering Sharon Tate and others, shouting: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into a victim's stomach! Wild!"
In a better country, just saying "Dig it!" in public would get you 20 years in the slammer.
Dohrn has recently tried to clarify her Manson remarks by saying it was some sort of "statement" about violence in society and, furthermore, that she said it while under sniper fire in Bosnia. Also recently, the members of the Manson family have distanced themselves from Ayers and Dohrn.
At other rallies, Dohrn said, "Bring the revolution home, kill your parents -- that's where it's at."
After a Chicago Democratic official, Richard Elrod, became paralyzed while fighting with a privileged looter during the Weathermen's "Days of Rage," Dohrn led the Weathermen in a song sung to the tune of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay":
Lay, Elrod, lay,
Lay in the street for a while
Stay, Elrod, stay
Stay in your bed for a while
You thought you could stop the Weatherman
But up-front people put you on your can,
Stay, Elrod, stay
Stay in your iron lung,
Play, Elrod, play
Play with your toes for a while
Only because of a merciful God is the author of that ditty, Ted Gold, not teaching at Northwestern or the University of Illinois now, alongside Dohrn or Ayers. That's because Gold is no longer with us, having accidentally blown himself up with a bomb intended for a dance at Fort Dix for new recruits and their dates.
While trying to assemble the bomb at an elegant Greenwich Village townhouse that belonged to one of the revolutionaries' fathers, the bungling Weathermen blew up the entire townhouse, killing Gold and two other butterfingered revolutionaries. Leave it to these nincompoops to turn their glorious Marxist revolution into an "I Love Lucy" sketch.
So in addition to being stupid and violent, the Weathermen were also incompetent terrorists. Would that Timothy McVeigh had been so inept!
If he had only said he bombed the building in Oklahoma City to protest American "imperialism," McVeigh, too, could be teaching at Northwestern University, sitting on a board with and holding fundraisers for presidential candidate B. Hussein Obama. The rest here:
DES MOINES, Iowa -- A pizza delivery driver, who police said defended himself by shooting a robber who attacked him, was fired from his job on Friday.
James Spiers, 38, confirmed to KCCI that he is no longer employed by Pizza Hut. Spiers said he was given two months severance pay and was offered help finding a new job by the company.
Spiers told KCCI in an interview two weeks ago that he was not angry with his employer about the possibility of being let go and said he hadn't decided whether to return to the job even if he wasn't fired.
According to court documents, Melanie Stout, 18, called in a pizza order to an apartment building at 2050 SE King Ave. Police said her fiancee, Kenneth Jimmerson, 19, was waiting in the lobby with a gun when Spiers arrived at 10:39 p.m. on March 28.
Police said Jimmerson tried to rob Spiers at gunpoint. During a struggle, Spiers pulled out his own gun and opened fire. Spiers shot Jimmerson several times, in what police said was a justified shooting. Jimmerson survived was sent to the hospital and a couple days later moved to the Polk County Jail.
Now, why would Pizza Hut have such a policy? It's because they have a FAR more dangerous enemy than a criminal with a gun pointing at their heads -- slip and fall lawyers, activist judges, and brainwashed, idiot, juries.
But Klown, what can we do?
STOP ELECTING LIBERALS TO POLITICAL OFFICE!!! Why do you think the trial lawyers association contributes tons of cash to Democrats?
