80 year old guy relieves society of a dangerous leech

A burglary suspect who police say was shot dead while attempting to flee a Long Beach home this week was not pregnant, coroner’s officials said Friday.

The home’s owner, who identified himself as Tom Greer in an interview with KNBC-TV Channel 4, said he shot Andrea Miller, 28,  even after she begged him not to open fire, claiming she was pregnant. She was shot twice in the back. Her suspected accomplice, 26-year-old Gus Adams, got away but was later arrested.

Police say Adams and Miller attacked Greer, 80, after he walked in on them burglarizing his home Tuesday night in the 3900 block of Country Club Drive in the upscale Bixby Knolls neighborhood.

But when Greer produced a .22-caliber handgun, they fled. Greer told KNBC he chased the pair and shot Miller twice in the back in the alley, then pulled her body back onto his lot.

In his taped interview with the station, he said the woman shouted, "Don't shoot me! I'm pregnant -- I'm going to have a baby."

“I shot her anyway,” Greer said. “The lady didn’t run as fast as the man so I shot her in the back twice --she’s dead … but he got away.”

Greer told KNBC that he acted in self-defense and that the pair had burglarized his home twice before.

Police confirmed that the intruders beat Greer with their fists, body slammed him to the ground and tried to break into his safe.

But in a news conference Thursday, Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell said the investigation is not over, and detectives will present their report to county prosecutors to determine if Greer was justified in slaying the woman. More here:

Yes, because a couple of shitstains get to repeatedly rob you and then beat you and attempt to kill you ... until you pull out a gun ... and then if they start begging and running, you aren't allowed to shoot them. Put me on the jury please.

He is Edward "Ed" Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937. 

Then you'll probably say, "Who is Ed Mezvinsky?"  

Well, he is a former Democrat congressman who represented 

Iowa 's 1st congressional district in the United States House 

of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.

He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided 

the fate of Richard Nixon.

He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to 

politics and the nation and should be impeached.

He and the Clintons were friends and very politically 

intertwined for many years.

Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue 

Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.

In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in 

Congress, cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton's 

controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.

  In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty 

to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud.

Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people 

via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.

He was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.

After serving less than five years in federal prison, he was released in 

April 2008 and remains on federal probation.

To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

The libs don't think you should watch TV

You had such good intentions for when you got home from work: go to the gym, call a friend and sort out that paperwork. But after a hard day in the office you ended up slumped on the sofa in front of the television instead. If you feel bad about it you’re not alone - scientists have discovered that watching television at the end of a long day can make you feel guilty and like a failure. More here:

That's right.  Everyone else feels guilty ... like a failure, if they watch TV after work ... and you should too ... you know, if you're a brainless, cud-chewing sheep.

This kind of crap cracks me up.  One commenter summed up my feelings:

Yeah, sure: people watch TV every night just so they can feel guilty and bad about themselves!

Israel or the "Palestinians" ... who is right and who is wrong?

Israel did garner initial global empathy at the beginning of the latest conflict, after three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank were killed, but that changed quickly as the Israel Defense Forces moved into densely populated Gaza in an effort to stop rocket fire from Hamas onto Israeli cities and settlements. Right. Because Israel isn't supposed to do anything about the "Palestinians" firing rockets into their cities.  Can't you see the logic?  No?  Turns out you aren't alone.  Many people can't see the logic.  For those people the media come to the rescue.  Just refer to the cartoon above.
