Stock market geniuses keep rolling - WOO HOO!

Yes, the stock market just keeps kicking ass.  It's as if there's no recession at Wall Street.  How come gold and stocks just keep going up?  Do you know?  Here's the news. (Bold is mine.)
The Dow's rebound to 11,000 on Friday seemed almost inevitable as investors shook off all the bad news and instead focused on slivers of hope in jobs, government intervention and politics.

By nearly any measure, Friday's nonfarm employment report was a disappointment: Payrolls dropped 95,000, the so-called "real" unemployment rate jumped to 17.1 percent and one of the few growth areas came in restaurant and bar jobs.

Yet there was Wall Street, sorting through the rough and finding diamonds in a private payroll increase and continued hopes that a second round of Fed money injections—commonly referred to as quantitative easing, or in this case QE2—would help right a listless ship.
More here:
See anything  "amiss" in here?  Anything not quite adding up?  Sure, to you ... but that's because you're not a Wall Street genius.  Neither am I.  Here's what I predict:

One day the Fed will have to stop "injecting money/easing." One day they will have to raise interest rates (or taxes) to pay for all the spending. I think that day will come sooner rather than later (unless conservatives take control of Congress and begin with the slashing and burning of expenses ... which they won't.)

As an aside, for the last 20-30 years government has been constantly busy writing laws -- thousand and thousands of pages ... taxing or criminalizing everything they possibly could as fast as they possibly could. But the government needs money to enforce those laws. Without money, they can't come for you.

They can't come to inspect your house to see if you're using the correct toilet or light bulb. They can't pay people to stuff a probe up your car's tail pipe to see if you're conforming with their global warming agenda.

Starving the government of money is a great idea as long as they also can't borrow more. You see where I'm going with this? Yes, I think you do.

Finally - The Secret!

The lottery - it's really just a tax on poor people, or those who are mathematically challenged, right? Well now there's an easy way to win...

Your fortune awaits

Church? Puh-Lease!

I get it that people of, let's say, "off-beat interests" like to hang out together. I get it that the stranger the "hobby", the harder it is to meet and associate with folks who appreciate your particular peccadillo. But to call body "modification" a church - you lost me completely.

Nonsense here.

Just in case you're not already outraged...

From Moonbattery.

Angry man insists on getting his wish granted.

Whether he regretted it immediately is yet to be determined since he died upon impact. He was last heard proclaiming, "I HAVE JUST AS MUCH RIGHT TO BE HERE AS THE REST OF YOU DO!".

Rush gives a typical Obama Lib enough rope with which to hang himself.

Rush has the easiest job in the world...

Cannot embed video so click here or on the photo. I promise it's worth it.

Hey- are you gonna eat all that?

Act Responsible... really? You first.

Those crazy Libs are at it again. They will stop at nothing to get your attention. There is no line they won't cross but don't worry- it's okay- they know what's best for you. They're smart and we're stupid and it's up to them to do our thinking for us.

They will preach to us about morality and responsibility and how to be a "better person" but their actions speak volumes about their true character. This ad is yet another example.

Now, you can defend them and their elitism all you want but don't you think a "good elitist" would know that "Act Responsibly" would be grammatically correct?

I just keep wondering how long people will continue to tolerate their eminence front.

Good 'un

From my friend Kevin in email.

I met a fairy today that would grant me one wish. "I want to live forever," I said.
"Sorry" said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"
"Fine" I said. "I want to die after the Democrats get their heads out of their asses!"
"You crafty bastard,"  said the fairy.

Tuesday Taste of the "Town"

As promised, we're switching from burgers to pizza for awhile.
Our first stop:

GINO’S PIZZERIA
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC

I swear that when this place opened it was called “Geno’s”. No big deal – must be different owners.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Small pizza shop in a strip mall. Pretty clean – and not very busy at 2PM.

SERVICE
Adequate. Basically it’s one of those places you help yourself – ordering, drink machine, condiments, etc. Very friendly though.

FOOD
The pizza arrived (it was huge), with a very New York-like sheen – a bit of a greasy coating. Let it sit a bit and it tightened up. It was well cooked, and served very hot. Very thin crust (which was excellent), light on the sauce, and sadly, very light on the cheese. It was “pretty good”, but needed suitable applications of red pepper flakes and parmesan to make it good. B-.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
I will give this place an “I’ll probably go back”. No beer or wine available.

WTF? EVENT
We ordered a large with pepperoni and mushrooms. We received a large without any mushrooms – and we were never sure if we paid for the ‘shrooms or not. The entire staff speaks very little English – but they’re not Italian, they’re Hispanic.

This, I guess, is supposed to be humorous. It's coming from the Left. It's coming from people who chant peace and love and tolerance and intellect. It's coming from people who we should watch more and listen to less. Their hypocrisy is boundless.

This is yet another example of how they say one thing and then do another. In case the message isn't crystal clear, they're telling the viewer, "join us or we'll fucking kill you". Reminds me of the "Religion of Peace" a little bit, no?

Why does Obama hate "Americans for Prosperity?"

So there's a group called "Americans for Prosperity."  Obama hates them and says their name seems so innocuous but they're bad for America because they donate to conservative candidates.  Everything is perfectly OK when "Democratic" groups (Daily Kos, Media matters, George Soros, objective jourrrrnailists from all mainstream media outlets, etc etc) donate to the Democrats ... but ... all of a sudden, everyone has become racists and are now donating like crazy to conservatives ... and Obama hates it ... HE HATES IT.

He hates the marches on Washington by the Tea Party, Glen Beck, etc etc.  And ... as I'm sure you all heard, (because the media blasted that info out) the "Democratics" decided to have their own march on the Washington mall.  You can check out their march in the video below.  I"m sure you'll find it as interesting as I did.  You can thank "Americans for Prosperity" for the video.

Yet another case of the concensus being completely and utterly wrong.

Somehow, getting a lot of sheep to follow the herd doesn't mean as much as the sheep think it does...

We conducted a web search for “Global Warming and Maple Syrup” and found over 150,000 sites – almost all proclaim that the maple syrup industry is in deep peril given the threat of global warming. This must surely be seen as bad news for all those who enjoy maple syrup on waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, crumpets, and French toast (and in any number of desserts as well). Before you think this threat is less than serious, be aware that maple syrup is big business in New England and in Canada.

But, as with most things you read about on the majority of websites, the fate of maple syrup turns out to be not nearly as bad as portrayed. In fact, the future may be even better for maple syrup production than the past.

What ... dat? Dat ain't mines.

OCTOBER 1--A Florida man arrested Wednesday on drug charges told cops that a bag of cocaine found hidden inside his buttocks did not belong to him. Though the suspect did cop to ownership of a bag of marijuana hidden alongside the coke.

During the search, when Deputy Sean Cappiello "felt a soft object in the crack of his buttocks," the suspect "began to tense up."

More here:

Way to go, genius.   I salute you.  He almost believed you and let you walk.  You were soooo close ... barely missed.  Now, go tell the judge all about it, he'll understand.

Al Gore gets called a fraud & a hoax

LMAO @ "You're a fraud." "Global warming is a hoax." Etc etc.

I'll tell you what else I noticed about this video. Whenever you confront an idiot liberal with the facts on record-setting cold temperatures they come back with their genius "climate isn't temperature" argument. However, what is Al Gore saying in this video?

I'll tell ya, listening to liberals contradict themselves is very entertaining. As for their logic ... well, let's just say they're lucky Spock isn't around.

Mark Levin Interviews Shitstain Lawyer

This was posted on therightscoop.com. Wombat sent me an email with the link but I decided to copy/post the whole thing right here (except the audio.)

OMG! This is almost a collision of epic proportions! You almost have to hear it to believe it. Levin was asking Gloria Allred (the lawyer for the illegal immigrant Meg Whitman hired) the most basic of questions and she got defensive from the outset. She wanted to talk about Meg Whitman and Levin told her he would do that after he asked a few questions. She persisted though and as a result Levin had to be very aggressive to get answers to his questions and he even had to lower her several times as Allred just droned on and on. To be honest, I’m not sure if I remember a coherent argument she made other than her blabbing on and on about how she respects maids and so forth.

I’ll note that there was a small segment in the middle that I missed due to Mark Levin’s online audio player not coming back from break until he was leaving the segment. But from the 3rd segment, I gather it doesn’t matter that much. I think I have all the red meat right here.

This runs for 17 minutes but I assure you its worth the listen. Enjoy!

I’m being told now that the middle segment wasn’t anything more than a segue, so we’re all good. Enjoy!
