Martin Luther King event was open to all ... totally non-partisan

But they want you to think and believe that this "honoring" of MLK was for anyone ... oh yes, EVERYONE honors MLK, right?  All people are invited ... unless you disagree with them politically.

When liberals vote on your freedom / money

Hey look ... a government found something new to tax - YAY!!

A California bill that could strip tax-exempt status from Little League, the Boy Scouts of America and other “discriminatory” nonprofit youth-serving groups could come up for a final vote this week.

And it's funny because, the government used to tax very little.

And it's funny because, they had to amend the constitution to pass the income tax law.  That's right, it seems those ignorant framers of the constitution forgot to include an income tax.

And it's funny because, the income tax started out as 1% or 2% of incomes ... but only the rich had to pay (if you stupidly assume the rich didn't raise prices on the poor to pay for the income tax.)

And it's funny because, the income tax keeps going up and up and up ... and the government keeps finding new things to tax and tax and tax.

And it's funny because, the government keep breaking records in how much "revenue" it takes in and yet it's running a trillion dollar yearly deficit.

And it's funny because, when they run a deficit (borrow money,) it's the same as raising your taxes ... because you HAVE to pay the bill even though you told them not to spend that much.

And it's funny because, no matter how much they get or spend, it's never enough.

And it's funny, because, without your money, where would they be?

FREEDOM - YAY ... Oops, nope ... turns out you'll do as the government tells you

The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that, by refusing to photograph a gay wedding, a photography studio violated the New Mexico Human Rights Act (NMHRA). 

The court found that Elane Photography’s refusal to serve Vanessa Willock violated the act, which “prohibits a public accommodation from refusing to offer its services to a person based on that person’s sexual orientation,” according to the ruling. More here:

So a private business says "no thanks" to conducting business with someone (for whatever reason) and the government says "nope, you'll do as we tell you."  Is that ok with you?  Does that sound like freedom or tyranny?

On the other hand, I don't feel like I'm getting the whole story here.   As seems more and more prevalent, there is an obvious fact being left out ... an elephant-in-the-room, so to speak.  And what ... we're all just supposed to ignore it and go ahead and discuss the story anyway?

I mean, I doubt the gay couple would want a hostile company taking pics of their wedding.  The product is too subjective.  Blurry pics ... poor framing ... etc etc etc.  Seems to me that nobody in their right mind would want to take a chance on that ... nor would they want someone who hates them actually taking pics at their wedding.

Oh well, I guess this just didn't occur to the genius jourrrrnalist.

Also, I love how the government people think they can fix hate with a supreme court ruling.

Fast food is bad ... Rich and evil are the same thing

(MoneyWatch) A coalition of labor, religious and other groups are calling for a nationwide strike of fast-food employees on August 29. 

I love how the media uses the phrase "____ calling for ____."   It's very similar to "some say."  It might be one person but the media report it as if there were throngs "saying/calling for."  You'll never know the difference ... Baaaa Bleat.

Also, notice the phrasing "coalition of  labor, religious and other groups."  They make it sound like these "groups" are varied and all coming together for this one great cause which we ALL should support.  Meanwhile, it's more like a "coalition" of sharks and piranha.  So nice of CBS to keep us informed of this major happening in all of our lives while lecturing us against the evils of fast food and the rich.

The campaign, building on a flurry of one-day work stoppages this year at franchises around the U.S., highlights the efforts by unions to enlist workers in the cause and heighten the impact of the strikes. Labor supporters say that fast-food workers are poorly paid and that their low wages subsidize the profits of multinational corporations. 

Did you hear about these?  Well, they happened.  My recall of it was about two people walked off the job at a few restaurants ... but again, the forthright, fair and objective media reported it as if it were shaking the nation and we should all be concerned.  And it sort of cracks me up, because on the one hand they look down their noses and tsk-tsk about you eating a Big Mac, and in the next breath they're threatening stikes and you should pay attention because "oh oh, might not get your Big Mac."  Sheesh.

The call for a strike came this week from a public relations agency that counts both the Service Employees International Union and United Food & Commercial Workers as clients. Both labor groups are among dozens of local and national religious, political, and union groups supporting the call for strikes. 

Again with "the call?" Enough already.  I hear there's a Klown calling for the disolution and bankruptcy of corrupt media outlets yet nothing is getting reported.  Must be a glitch somewhere.

But back to the subject ... notice the "jourrrrnalist" once again alluding to the various and disparate "groups" which really only amount to big labor asshats who are interested in getting dues-paying members.

By contrast, pro-business organizations like the Employment Policies Institute -- a PR front group created by conservative advocate Richard Berman -- rightly point out that many fast-food operations are operated by independent franchise owners who operate under tight profit margins.

Wow, the jourrrrnalist actually gave the other point of view a paragraph ... if you bothered to wade through his communist diatribe.  Anyway, never mind the facts ... we're CALLING FOR JUSTICE!

Turns out crystal meth is not addictive after all

“Almost every adult in that area (of North Korea) has experienced using ice and not just once,” says Kim Seok-hyang, who co-authored the study. “I estimate that at least 40% to 50% are seriously addicted to the drug.”

McCain, along with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, traveled to Egypt earlier this month at the request of President Barack Obama to implore military leaders to begin holding elections and transition into a democracy.

(CNN) – It’s high time for the United States to cut off its $1.3 billion in aid to Egypt as the military regime cracks down violently on protesters, Sen. John McCain argued Sunday. 

The Arizona Republican added the U.S. has lost its credibility in the region after failing to follow its own law that requires suspending aid to states overtaken by a military coup–though the U.S. has not officially described the recent regime change in Egypt as a coup.

I have an idea.  Why don't you start worrying about your "credibility" right here in the US?  Start by leaving us the hell alone and then follow up by leaving Egypt the hell alone.  In fact, why don't we all just have a big "leave peeps the hell alone" party.

You want some credibility?  Start expanding personal freedom instead of turning us all into slaves to support the implementation of your idiotic ideas and causes.

GOP detects possible bias in the media

The media says "If you're a Fox News viewer then you're an uninformed idiot."

The Republican National Committee (RNC) voted unanimously Friday to pull the group’s partnership with NBC and CNN for the 2016 GOP presidential primary debates unless the networks kill their planned films on Hillary Clinton.

Wait, what's this?  The major networks are going to promote Hillary Clinton and disparage conservatives? Whaaaa??????  Why ... this is a game changer ... a real wake up call.  How long has THIS been going on?

“We don't have time for the media's games,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said before the vote at the RNC summer meeting in Boston. “We’re done putting up with this nonsense. There are plenty of other news outlets.” 

 That's right, folks ... they're "done putting up with the nonsense."  I guess they figure 100 years or so of increasing bias in favor of the freedom-stealing communists statists is "enough."  Good for them for drawing the line like that.

According to the resolution, called “In support of media objectivity and accountability” and obtained by The Hill, the RNC called the planned films “political favoritism” and accused NBC and CNN of airing “programming that amounts to little more than extended commercials promoting former Secretary Clinton.”More here:

The good news?  If the major networks pull their "Hillary" films, then GOP will let them back in ... having taught them a very important lesson.  Yes.

And don't worry about the media just promoting Hillary in their usual way with slanted/biased coverage all throughout the election and beyond.

That's right folks, after she's elected, the media will reinforce your buying decision by telling you how smart you were to have voted for her.  And when the media tells you you're smart ... well ... they know what they're talking about ... those guys/gals are all geniuses.

The ironing man ... THE IRONING!

Police say an instructor of a gun-safety class in central Ohio accidentally shot a student during the weekend.

The Columbus Dispatch reports 73-year-old Terry J. Dunlap Sr. was demonstrating a hand gun on Saturday at a training facility when he fired a bullet that bounced off a desk and into the right arm of Michael Piemonte.

The 26-year-old student says the .38-caliber bullet hit him between his elbow and armpit. He says many of the students in the class were nurses who helped stabilize him before he was transported to a Columbus hospital.

Piemonte tells the newspaper it appears that Dunlap did not know that the gun was loaded. Dunlap did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Why must the government do the exact opposite of "the right thing" all the time?

SAN DIEGO - A loophole is allowing hundreds of immigrants across the Mexico border in to the United States. Immigrants are being taught to use "key words and phrases" to be allowed to enter and stay in the country.

Just this past Monday, Border Patrol agents say about 200 people came through the Otay Crossing claiming a quote: "credible fear" of the drug cartels. So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station. 

"They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they will be allowed into the country," said a person who did not want to be identified on camera. "We are being overwhelmed." More here:

With more people soaking the government for welfare and medical care, do you think your taxes will go up or down?  Do you think your health care costs will go up or down?  Why is the government interested in encouraging illegal immigration.  What a mystery, right?

Nancy Pelosi shows her character, standards, and integrity ... again

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., demanded Friday that Republicans take down a “Slap Hillary” site that features a flash game where players can slap the former Secretary of State, Twitchy reported. 

“‘Slap Hillary’ site isn’t a game, it isn’t funny. Like all violence against women, it’s sick. GOP needs to grow up and take this site down,” she tweeted Friday.

Ahhhhh.  It makes me feel so good to know that Nancy Pelosi is standing up for women.  You know ... unless the women are conservative.  

Funny thing though, there was a Slap-Palin site long ago but did Pelosi stand up for violence against women then?  Answer: No.

And there's a reason why Pelosi does this, can you guess what it is?  Yes, it's because she's a hypocritical piece of shi' who has zero concern about "violence against women" unless it can buy her votes or make conservatives (her enemies) look bad.

WAXAHACHIE (CBS 11 NEWS) - An Ellis County coach has been convicted of criminal charges for hitting one of his young players repeatedly with baseballs.

Prosecutors say Ron Santos, 26, threw as many as 15 pitches at the teenager ranging in speed from 60-80 miles per hour.  The hits left the 15-year-old covered in bruises.  Santos called it “training” to teach the players how to take a pitch.

However, a jury convicted Santos of a Class A misdemeanor, Assault with Bodily Injury and sentenced him to 15 days of jail, a $500 fine and 18 months of community supervision.

15 days in jail ... hmmmm.  What is "community supervision?" Bold is mine on the next line.

Nan Udell prosecuted Santos and says the case is not about whether he is a good coach, but about what he did that night.

I love it when someone tells me what "it's not about" and then very helpfully comes right behind that with what "it's about."  I NEVER get tired of it.

“It would be like teaching kids to step into the street to get hit by a car.  Just stand there and say ‘I’m gonna hit you with a car, turn the right way, because if you got hit by a really fast car, it could kill you.’”

Yes, I see your point ... because a baseball is just like a really fast white car with stiching.

Santos would not comment on the case.  He still serves as a coach for Waxahachie’s “Gear Up Baseball Academy,” with parent and player support.  He is not allowed to pitch to any players for a year and must produce a video on the dangers of being hit by a pitch. More here:

In the natural world, idiots are not a problem

Idiots become a problem when man gets involved and starts forming "governments."

Our founding fathers were aware of this but they were kind enough to never say it out loud.  They tried to make a government that was limited in power and scope.  They even went so far as to "enumerate" its powers in the constitution ... you know ... just in case the usual "thing" happened ... where the government claimed more and more power for itself ... until your every move was controlled by the government ... for your own health and safety of course.

Yes, and it turns out that every single thing you do is unsafe and unhealthy ... how about that.

I heard Rush the other day and he was saying something about how they try to convince you that everything you know to be true is untrue ... and everything you know to be untrue is true.

And I think that oftentimes they do this by redefining words and then making some outrageous claim based on their new "definition."

Example: "There's X number of sex offenders near your house."  Meanwhile, they'll classify you as a sex offender if you pee on someone's lawn or moon someone.

Of course, they don't bother to tell you about the change in definition ... that would just confuse you ... now be a good sheep lib and go bleat this new "fact" to everyone you know.

In conclusion, idiots are only a problem when they are allowed to vote on my liberty.  Think about it.  If they couldn't vote to take your liberty or property then how on earth could they be a problem to you? 

In addition, they cannot shove you around without taking your money first ... because they have to have the "police" before they can use force on you.   To me that means the lower the tax rate, the less of your freedom they can steal.  So the bottom line is, your money/property is your freedom.

All their lives they argue with you and try to justify the taking of your liberty ... they LIVE for it. And you are forced to use your time to argue back and tell them to leave you alone ... constantly being vigilant ... for your ENTIRE LIFE.

If only they weren't allowed to vote on your liberty.  Imagine how much more productive you would be if you didn't have to manage morons all the time. Maybe we'll get a short reprieve after the next revolution.
