MYFOXNY.COM - The board hand-picked by Mayor Michael Bloomberg that must approve his ban of selling large sugar-filled drinks at restaurants might be looking at other targets.

The New York City Board of Health showed support for limiting sizes of sugary drinks at a Tuesday meeting in Queens.  They agreed to start the process to formalize the large-drink ban by agreeing to start a six-week public comment period.

At the meeting, some of the members of board said they should be considering other limits on high-calorie foods.

Well, of COURSE they did.  You know why?  Because it's never enough for the idiot libs. 

No matter how much money the government gets, they squander it all and borrow more.  No matter how many rules the tyrants make for you, it's never enough.  They want to get to Utopia ... and for that, they just need a little bit more of your liberty (and money) ... and a little bit more tomorrow ... and the day after that ... get it?

One member, Bruce Vladeck, thinks limiting the sizes for movie theater popcorn should be considered.

"The popcorn isn't a whole lot better than the soda," Vladeck said.

Another board member thinks milk drinks should fall under the size limits.

"There are certainly milkshakes and milk-coffee beverages that have monstrous amounts of calories," said board member Dr. Joel Forman.

Oh yes, we're finding new things to ban ... Yaaaaaaa!! Weeeeeeeeee.!! It's lib Nirvana!!

Mayor Bloomberg says the drink rules are an attempt to fight obesity in the city.  It would limit food service establishments in the city from serving drinks bigger than 16 ounces but would allow refills.

The New York City Restaurant Association is fighting the proposal and is considering legal action of it goes into effect.

But the libs think they have now found an unassailable excuse to steal your liberty ... they use "health" or "safety" or the "environment."  And under the rubric of these, they can enslave you.

The founders knew that there would always be people who would think NOTHING of stealing your liberty ... for your own good (at first.)  The way the idiot libs see it, you need their help but you're too stupid to realize it.  Therefore they find reasons under the umbrella of their Utopian rubric and pass laws that FORCE you to accept their help.

The part that puzzles me is, I know the libs want to be led around like sheep and I'm ok with it.  I know they don't mind giving up their own liberty and I'm ok with that too.  But why ... WHY, do they INSIST on me joining with them?  I am so sick of these shitstains, you have NO idea.

(Reuters) - China will take swift counter-measures that could include impounding European aircraft if the EU punishes Chinese airlines for not complying with its scheme to curb carbon emissions, the China Air Transport Association said on Tuesday.

The warning came as the U.N.'s aviation body expressed concern about the growing threat of bilateral reprisals.

Chinese airlines, which have been told by Beijing not to comply with the European Union's Emissions Trading Scheme, refused to meet a March 31 deadline for submitting carbon emissions data.

A new stand-off looms after EU Climate Commissioner Connie Hedegaard said the carriers would have until the end of this week to submit their data or face enforcement action.

"Chinese airlines are unanimous on this. We won't provide the data," Wei Zhenzhong, secretary general of the China Air Transport Association, said on the sidelines of an International Air Transport Association (IATA) meeting in Beijing.

EU member states can fine airlines for non-compliance or carry out other reprisals including impounding aircraft.

"We would not like to see a situation of 'you hold up my planes and I hold yours'," Wei said. More here:

Poor old Bank of America ... they're about to get swindled

Bank of America Corp. (BAC) said it will contribute $50 billion over the next 10 years to address climate change, the latest company to boost its investments toward environmental goals. 

The new set of goals will be effective on Jan. 1, following the anticipated completion of the bank's current 10-year pledge of $20 billion, which it said is four years ahead of schedule. "Environmental business delivers value to our clients, return for our shareholders, and helps strengthen the economy," said Chief Executive Brian Moynihan. "We met our prior goal in about half the time we set for ourselves, so more than doubling our target is ambitious but achievable."

 The bank's new initiative includes lending, equipment finance, capital markets and advisory activity and carbon finance, as well as advice and investment help. (Carbon finance -- lmao.)

Oh really? Yes, we must combat climate change.  Why?  Because it's the right thing to do.  I love how they position themselves as being charitable and contributing this $50 billion to the planet earth (and the media allow it without question.)

Anyway, poor Bank of America ... it looks like they're taking an unreasonable chance with a lot of money .... investing in "green" companies and so forth ... very risky, eh?  

Unless ... unless they are going to provide loans to the green companies AFTER the green companies have secured loan guarantees from the federal government.  If that's the case, the bank cannot lose.

You know who else never loses in these deals?  The "green" company executives.  That's right, those guys arrange the loan guarantees from their politician buddies get the company financing and then get paid millions in salary/bonuses.  Then they turn around and give a cut to the politician who helped push the loan through.

Remember Solyndra?  Ever wonder how much those cronies contributed to Obama?  What?  You weren't aware of that?  Well, the media probably forgot to tell you ... or maybe the media didn't even know about it ... yes, that's probably it.  In any event, it happens all the time Solyndra was probably the only time that ever happened, right?  Just a fluke, right?

Anyway, the banks make money ... the corporate execs leave with millions ... the politicians make money ... and where does it all come from?  Who is it that is paying and paying and paying, for nothing?  

Lmao ... "climate change."  Just the latest thing they use to separate you from your money.  HEE HAW ... HEE HAW!!  Keep voting for "Democratics."

Remember, the lib's answer to everything is "more government."  That's right, and even though we've been growing the government at a ridiculous rate, it still isn't enough ... no, even though they rake in more than ever before in history, they STILL need "revenue enhancements."  

And now the government is everywhere ... in our homes, light bulbs, toilets, and lives (unfettered government.)

Well, we should all probably pay "our fair share."  THEN we'd be alright ... and the government would FINALLY have enough money ... right?

Hey, but don't worry, Obama is blocking oil and coal everywhere he possibly can because, you know ...he's a helper.  Gotta bankrupt those evil coal companies.

Coming soon ... the "debt ceiling" issue ... again

You might be asking yourself ... why do we have a debt ceiling anyway?  What does it do for us?

Actually, that's a very good question.  Allow me to give you my thoughts on it.

1) Having a debt ceiling ensures that our politicians won't go apeshit and put us in a debt situation from which we cannot recover without bankruptcy crushing our country for ourselves and our progeny ... i.e. fiscal responsibility.

2) Without a solid debt ceiling, congress can effectively raise your taxes without passing a law to raise your taxes.  For example ... let's say you have an 18-year old son living at home and you get him his own credit card (in your name of course.)  And he has an allowance/budget of $100 per month he is allowed to charge on the card (and you will pay it for him.)

One day he/she comes to you and says he wants you to give him $1500 cash so he can buy a big TV.  You refuse but he just charges it on the credit card instead.  And you'll be forced to pay for it because it's in your name.  It's that simple.

The Democratics want to spend your money but you won't allow them to raise taxes ... so instead, they just borrow more money (raise the debt ceiling)  ... and guess what ... you'll be paying for it.  Sure, your monthly/yearly payments might not go up but you'll be paying anyway.  And they're flushing the money down the toilet by giving it to their green-energy cronies ... who bankrupt their "companies" and then they leave with millions.

So it's like crashing your car without insurance and you still have payments left.  You're paying and paying but you have NO CAR.  THEY'RE CRUSHING YOU!!

If they stuck to their debt ceiling they wouldn't be able to steal your money with abandon.  Oh, and they're stealing your children's money too because no way will you EVER pay for this in your lifetime.   And the funniest part is, they (the Democratics) don't care.

Meanwhile, when is the last time they passed a budget?  This year? Answer: No. 
Last year? Answer: No.
The year before? Answer: No.
The past budget was passed in 2009 ... and since then they've been on a spending spree like never before in history.  And it's all free, right?  This won't affect you, right?

The EVIL Republicans have submitted budget after budget but Harry Reid/the Democratics won't allow a vote on it.   Why is that, do you wonder?

Liberals are brainwashed souls. 

They regurgitate whatever they see in the lib media, movies, TV shows etc. They have very few original thoughts ... and ALL of them fancy themselves as genius psychologists. 

I've been noting some behaviors and language that identifies an idiot-liberal and put some of them here for your amusement.

These are some of the buzz-word/phrases/behaviors that idiot-liberals use in their daily lives. 

Also, be watchful for politicians using these because you can be sure that they are trying to relieve you of your hard-earned money and make you feel good about it ... "Hey, it's for the children." 

1. LIBERAL MORON BEHAVIOR AND THOUGHT PROCESSES:

If you are constantly "treating yourself for once" 

If you are constantly finding (and sharing) "profound" phrases and repeating them to your friends (who also can't tell "profound" from "a hole in the ground.") 

If you hate mimes and, whenever you spot one, you make sure that everyone within 100 feet knows it. 

If you find yourself referring to any military/police unit as "elite." 

If you act like you've discovered a key to the universe after learning anything, no matter how small (but only when in presence of others.) 

If you think spending billions for safety measures which save 50 people a year is a smart investment. 

If you think that "society" should be able to take/steal my money in the name of "the greater good." 

2. PHRASES/WORD USAGE THAT IDENTIFY YOU AS A LIBERAL MORON: 

And how does that make you feel? 

It's time to give something back (as if you took something you didn't deserve.) 

Any sentence which which includes the phrase "so many levels." i.e. "That's just wrong ... on so many levels." 

The cause of _______ is low self esteem (or global warming.) Note: in the 70's this was "global cooling."

It's not about ___A___ , it's about ___B___.  (Note: This is their new number-one go-to statement.  You will notice an idiot-lib can't go two seconds without lecturing your dumbass and telling you what "it's about.")

Ingrate liberals steal some property and hate having to give it back

A couple immediately realised something was missing when they returned home and looked out of their back window... 93ft of their garden.

Mike Gibb and his wife Susan Bates say that while they were on holiday in Crete a brick wall was demolished and two trees and two flowerbeds ripped up.

In their place was a wooden fence blocking off a 3ft by 31ft section of their garden.

The couple have now complained to their local council who could prosecute property developer Brendon Sherry, 53, who owns the land next door.

Mum-of-two Susan, 59, said: “We were in utter shock when we returned home. They had removed two 100 year-old trees, a lovely wall and two beds.

“It’s just shocking. These building firms think no one will stand up to them. But we will fight back.

“We’ve lived here for 20 years and this land has always been ours. They say the land is theirs, but we have seen no proof.” More here:

Ok, so someone owned an empty lot and allowed this couple to use part of it for 20 years.  At the end of the 20 years the owner decides to use the land himself and this couple of idiot-libs think they deserve a "say" in the whole thing.  What a couple of ingrate jackasses.

This is exactly why people who own empty lots don't let other people make use of them whatsoever.  Because, instead of being able to just make use of their property as they see fit, all of a sudden some lawyer is making justification to a judge about how you allowed it for so long.  They call this "implied consent."  In other words, if someone starts using your property and you don't object, then SOMEHOW that means you meant to give it to them forever ... see how that makes sense?

Anyway, I love how the reporter makes the actual property owner out to be a bad guy ... NOT the morons who used the property without permission, no ... they are the poor, poor "victims of evil."

I'm confused about "cooking" meth

MEHLVILLE (KMOX) - A woman was caught cooking meth in her purse using a 20-ounce soda bottle inside of the Walmart store on Telegraph Road at I-255.

The store was immediately evacuated, out of fear for customers’ safety.

St. Louis County Police Lt. Mark Cox said if the meth concoction had spilled or leaked, it would have quickly circulated through the store’s ventilation system, contaminating the building and sickening lots of people. More here:

Oh please.  Does anyone believe ANY of this story? 

"Cooking meth in her purse?"  Please correct me if I'm wrong but don't you typically need high heat or a flame for cooking?  Or is the jourrrrnalist using the word cooking like a pregnant woman uses "I've got one in the oven?"  Because the jourrrrrnalist is tossing this word "cooking meth" around as if everyone is familiar with the procedure used for making meth.  Is there heat being generated by a chemical reaction inside the bottle?

The story indicates she was initially detained for shoplifting but I don't know if I buy that excuse ... after all, she DID have a 20 ounce soda bottle ... where was Mayor Bloomberg?

Also, don't you love how they evacuate the entire store?  Oh yes ... someone MAY have gotten a little sickened if the "concoction had spilled or leaked" ... but I seriously doubt it.  My guess is it would smell extry bad and peeps would avoid the area without having to be told to evacuate ... and this goes for people who are so stupid as to shoplift whilst "cooking meth" in their purse.

In any event, Walmart takes no chances with very dangerous things which may affect their profits (such as lawyers.) That's right, lawyers, who would immediately seize on the "knew or should have known" legal premise to siphon off some of Walmart's profits teach Walmart to put safety first.  Of course, Walmart just pays these lawsuits out of their profits and would never raise prices in order to cover legal costs ... therefore it doesn't cost me a thing when lawyers sue evil companies like Walmart.  Sooooo, WHEW, cuz that would be a LOT.

Clinton is "very sorry" for being honest

Former President Bill Clinton is on his own apology tour.

Appearing on TV on Thursday, Clinton said he “regrets…this stirring up” and is “very sorry” for veering off message on the Bush tax cuts, and the former president denied he is undermining President Barack Obama, insisting he is fully committed to Obama’s reelection. 

“I’m very sorry for what happened. I thought something had to be done on the fiscal cliff before the election,” Clinton told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, referring to comments he made this week suggesting the Bush tax cuts should be extended - something Obama vehemently opposes. “I support [Obama’s] position [on the Bush tax cuts], and I think on the merits, upper-income people will have to contribute to long-term debt reduction.” More here:

What's this?  Extend the Bush tax cuts?  As an aside, I love how most of the media uses "Bush era tax cuts" instead of just "Bush tax cuts."  They want to make sure you don't credit Bush with ANYTHING.

Anyway, Clinton is right ... so you have to ask yourself "why is he so sorry" after he said it?  Anyway, guess what, Clinton isn't the only lib who thinks that way ... what does Ben Bernanke think about this?  You may have heard of him  He's in charge of the Fed.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke dropped a major bombshell on Democrats seeking massive new revenues to narrow the deficit, announcing Thursday that he favors preserving the Bush administration tax cuts to help a faltering U.S. economy.

“In the short term I would believe that we ought to maintain a reasonable degree of fiscal support, stimulus for the economy,” Bernanke told the House Financial Services Committee. “There are many ways to do that. This is one way.”

Bernanke's statement put him directly at odds with White House officials and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who favor raising taxes on wealthy Americans by letting the tax cuts the Bush administration passed in 2001 and 2003 expire. More here:

Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding recent reports that several conservative political commentators have been targeted with harassing and frightening actions. Chambliss demanded that Holder examine these cases to determine if federal laws have been violated.

These dangerous hoaxes, also known as “SWAT-ting,” occur when a perpetrator contacts local police to report a violent incident at a target’s home. These callers are believed to utilize voice-over IP (VOIP) and other less-traditional telecommunications methods to make the call appear to come from the target residence and to hide the caller’s true identity.

In response, a dispatcher sends a SWAT team or other police unit in a heightened state of readiness to the unsuspecting target’s residence. Targets only learn of these false reports when a large police presence descends upon their homes.  

In the letter, Chambliss states that “Any potentially criminal action that incites fear, seeks to silence a dissenting opinion, and collaterally wastes the resources of law enforcement should be given close scrutiny at all levels… Regardless of any potential political differences that may exist, threats and intimidation have no place in our national political discourse. Those who choose to enter into that political discourse should not have to worry about potential threats to their or their family’s safety.”  More here and here:

High school girls declare "Slutty Wednesdays"

Nearly 100 smarties at the city’s top-performing high school bared their bodies in “risque” outfits yesterday to denounce their school’s conservative dress code — which bans the exposure of shoulders, midriffs, lower backs, bras and undies.

Stuyvesant HS students held the so-called “Slutty Wednesday” protest after girls got fed up with being told throughout the year that their short skirts and sleeveless tops made them more fit for a club dance floor than for a seat at the best public school in town.

Boys in tank tops complained that the administration’s apparent emphasis on keeping the girls well-covered was not only biased, but it also maligned the guys as horny teens who can’t control themselves when they see too much skin.  Heh, yes ... MALIIIIIIIGNED ... *sniff* ... so unfair ... they're WAYYYYY off base, right boys?    Sheesh, where were the Slutty Wednesdays when I was in school?

I recently came across this post on The Daily Caller:

If you find Morgan Spurlock as annoying and dishonest as I do, you’ll like Fat Head, which I’ve been thinking about since Emperor Bloomberg announced his War on Soda. Fat Head is a highly entertaining and informative (albeit zero-budget) documentary by a guy named Tom Naughton, who decided to try Spurlock’s experiment for himself. Naughton ate nothing but fast food for 30 days, but with two important caveats:

1. He didn’t eat whatever the clerk suggested, as Spurlock did. In other words, no super-sizing if he didn’t want to.


2. He kept his carbs to under 100 grams a day and his calories to under 2,000, using publicly available nutritional information about all the national fast-food chains.

How come nobody knows about "Fat Head" yet everyone knows about "Supersize Me"? As a direct result of this movie, McDonald's no longer "supersizes" meals. That's right- a major U.S. corporation changed one of its most successful and profitable campaigns due to vast public opinion. And by "public opinion" I mean "bleating by the uninformed herd".

As a result of reading this article, I watched "Fat Head". I recommend everyone watch it since it makes perfect sense. Of course, this fact will be unappealing to Liberals and Democrats and I don't want to waste anybody's time.
