The recent recession wiped out nearly two decades of Americans’ wealth, according to government data released Monday, with middle-class families bearing the brunt of the decline.
Over a span of three years, Americans watched progress that took almost a
generation to accumulate evaporate. The promise of retirement built on
the inevitable rise of the stock market proved illusory for most.
Homeownership, once heralded as a pathway to wealth, became an
albatross. More here:
Hmmmm ... what was the cause of this "recession?" Oh, right .... unfettered capitalism. What we need are more rules and regulations and tinkering by government.
And, we need more government departments to come around to our homes and businesses to do the checking up ... and writing the rules and so forth ... you know ... so we average dumbasses don't have to worry our little heads over it.
Remember, the lib's answer to everything is "more government." That's right, and even though we've been growing the government at a ridiculous rate, it still isn't enough ... no, even though they rake in more than ever before in history, they STILL need "revenue enhancements."
And now the government is everywhere ... in our homes, light bulbs, toilets, and lives (unfettered government.)
And now the government is everywhere ... in our homes, light bulbs, toilets, and lives (unfettered government.)
Well, we should all probably pay "our fair share." THEN we'd be alright ... and the government would FINALLY have enough money ... right?
Hey, but don't worry, Obama is blocking oil and coal everywhere he possibly can because, you know ...he's a helper. Gotta bankrupt those evil coal companies.
