I have to tell you, long ago I knew most of the whoop-dee-doos in Hollywood/entertainment were idiots ... idiots that put out mostly movies suitable for the entertainment of children.  But then I realized, the movies weren't actually aimed at children, no ... instead they were aimed at, shall we say, people of low IQ limited knowledge.  Yes, they "bring it down to your level" ... you know ... so you don't miss anything.

Hell, I can't bring myself to watch 30-Rock (which I'll bet  I'd love) on TV because Alec Baldwin is such a huge idiot-lib. He prolly doesn't even realize it (as I am convinced most libs don't.)  

I don't think they realize it but libs are always busy telling other people what to do ... under various "unassailable" pretenses, of course.  Or maybe they realize it but they're so brainwashed as to think it's perfectly fine to steal the freedom of people you consider dumber than you ... for their own good, of course.

Anyway, I finally had to stop going to the movies because I had been so disappointed so many times.  But now the reasons are coming clear, aren't they ... they're libs ... and they think everyone is stupid ... so they put out a product aimed at their target audience. I make an exception about once a year to see a movie ... and every time I feel like someone just read me a children's book (often heavy on the condescending "lesson") and then robbed me.

It occurs to me that the lefties are much better at boycotts than conservatives.  I think conservatives used to think that libs don't really affect them so, what's the point.  It seem to me that conservatives are only now starting to wake up to the fact that these people affect us every day and are making our lives miserable through blocking energy (high gas/electricity prices) and regulations that strangle our businesses which makes it harder for them to profit and hire people.

I got off track a bit there but in conclusion, let me say I don't automatically refuse to watch the show/product of a lib.  To get me to that point the lib must have repeatedly (or spectacularly) done something terribly egregious and/or brazen to get my attention ... to make it so I can't think of anything else when I look at his/her face.  Chris Rock just made the list.

The "Democratics" give to the poor

The Senate Tuesday killed legislation to spend billions of taxpayer dollars to encourage companies to use natural-gas powered vehicles. The legislation also would have benefited wealthy backers of the Democratic measure, including George Soros, T. Boone Pickens, and Kevin G. Douglas.

 “It could be an inconvenience for anybody, young, old, male, female,” said Maryann Wooten of Hamilton Township. 

The toilet paper and paper towel supply for at least 11 buildings, including City Hall, are dangerously low.

About that American soldier who killed the civilians in Afghanistan

The U.S. has already pledged to conduct a joint investigation of the shootings with the Afghan authorities. The suspect, a U.S. Army staff sergeant from a Stryker brigade based in Fort Lewis, Wash., was talking to American investigators, officials said. But U.S. defense officials said they didn't yet have a motive. Staff sergeants typically command groups of six to eight soldiers. 

"It's beyond explanation, as sometimes these things are, whether they are school shootings in America or this kind of thing overseas," said one senior U.S. defense official. 

No, it's not "beyond explanation" ... it's just beyond our ability to comprehend his "reasons."  There's always an explanation though ... "We were being bullied" ... "They had demons in them" ... some crap like that.  I wonder if the media will ever let you know the reason.

A U.S. official said the sergeant is married and has two children, the Associated Press reported. He served three tours in Iraq and had been serving his first deployment in Afghanistan since December, the AP said. 

Three tours in Iraq and now one in Afghanistan?  Unreal.  

My thinking is, we've done our part.  They get to vote now ... leave them alone ... let them fight for their freedom.  If they aren't willing to fight for it then who are we to force it upon them ... and then stay as "police" to make sure they keep a government structure they may not even want.

Making our soldiers serve two tours is ridiculous, much less three and four.  Think about it ... a soldier has to leave his/her family for a year every other year?  For how long?  Bullshit.  This has to stop. If we're in a war then let's commence with killing people.  If we're not, then let our soldiers come home from that miserable craphole.  Let the Afghans hire a private company to train them and/or provide security.

Idiot libs prepare to pay money to look at rock

  

(Reuters) - It weighs 340 tons, stands 21 feet, 10 inches high and measures 32 feet across. Beyond its massive size, this granite boulder being delivered to Los Angeles is no ordinary rock. It is art, or will be soon.

Last week, the huge rock embarked on an 11-day journey from the California desert to its new home at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art where it will become the centerpiece of artist Michael Heizer's "Levitated Mass." He conceived of the artwork in 1968, but only discovered the right boulder six years ago while scouring a granite quarry.

It is expected to arrive in the early morning hours on Saturday and will take weeks to put in place before the installation opens to the public in late spring or early summer.

When "Levitating Mass" is completed, people will walk into a sort of trench in the ground underneath it, and the boulder will seem to rise in the air and hover above their heads. The museum hopes the work will become a major attraction for tourists and others at the museum. More here:

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach. A man named Mike has booked her on a few programs, but we can't even get his last name. And Mike doesn't provide call-back numbers to those with whom he speaks. So Mike, who are you? And why the subterfuge?

This video is here to demonstrate that the TSA’s insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off.

Italian design house Emilio Cavallini has designed a range of tights that it says are unisex and the styles are being snapped up by men, who make up two to three per cent, or 20- to 30,000 - of the company's customers.

Costing $27, the tights, made from a mix of cotton and nylon, were launched in June 2009, reports WWD.

Speaking to the fashion newspaper, the company's vice president, Francesco Cavallini said: 'When we started our online shop we noticed that a lot of tights sized medium-large were being purchased by men.…So I did a search on the Internet and discovered there is a cult following for mantyhose.'

Cult or fad, the trend has gained some momentum of late, with Racked even conducting a poll as to the best name for the dubious new dressing habit. 

New dressing habit?  Or just gay men buying tights ... as per usual ... i.e. "old" dressing habit.

It seems to me that it's an underlying Lib tenet that for equality to exist, men must become women and women must become men. Just look at volvo drivers and you'll see a disturbing trend. Women driving, men in the passenger seat. I'll also mention that they're not only aggressive drivers but also vindictive. Just try to merge in front of one or try to pass one in the left lane and you'll see what I mean. But I digress.

Let me say this for the record. It's normal and good for men to be masculine and normal and good for women to be feminine. Furthermore (and listen really really closely, ladies), WOMEN CAN BE FEMININE AND STILL BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Stop fighting it. Ellen DeGeneres is a classic example. She can dress as butch as she likes but she's still one of the most feminine celebrities I know (she's also a genuinely nice person but that's beside the point).

All that said, "tights"? Really? Even women hate to wear pantyhose so why would men have any desire to do so? Stop this nonsense, Libs and maybe maybe we'll start taking you more seriously when you want to be taken seriously. 

Parents in charge of the school? Ohhhh no you don't (says the union)

ADELANTO, Calif. — The national battle over the best way to fix failing schools is ripping through this desert town like a sandstorm, tearing apart a community that is testing a radical new approach: the parent takeover. 

Parents here are trying to become the first in the country to use a trigger law, which allows a majority of families at a struggling school to force major changes, from firing the principal to closing the school and reopening it as an independent charter. So, why was Google lighting up Monday with people searching for them? You can thank a guy in Philadelphia who got fed up with folks yakking during his daily bus ride and a local news reporter who happens to ride the same bus.

Days after the story broke on Friday, the apparently fresh interest in the devices, which can be had online for anywhere from less than $40 to more than $1,000, is cause for concern among some security experts.

Trust me- you'll want to spend at least $100 to get something that works... er, so I've heard.


"The general public doesn't realize what they're jamming if they were to start using these things," said Richard Mislan, an assistant professor of computer and information technology at Purdue University who specializes in cyberforensics. "What's not obvious is all the wireless connectivity systems that are in the background and maintaining data communications in our daily lives."

 Last week, Philadelphia TV station NBC10 reported on a man who admitted to using a cell-phone jammer during his bus commute to shut down fellow passengers when they were talking loudly.
"I guess I'm taking the law into my own hands, and quite frankly, I'm proud of it," said the man, who the station identified only as "Eric."

He called people using their phones on public buses irritating and rude.

"A lot of people are extremely loud, no sense of, just, privacy or anything," said "Eric," who was first noticed by a writer for the station. "When it becomes a bother, that's when I screw on the antenna and flip the switch."

The story spread. And, apparently, piqued people's interest.

Throughout the weekend, and as recently as Monday afternoon, "cell phone jammer" was one of the top 10 searches on Google Trends, cropping up between searches for Lindsay Lohan's "Saturday Night Live" performance and news about the Super Tuesday primaries.

The legality of the jammers varies from country to country. In the United States, it is generally illegal to sell, own or use one without the government's permission. The devices are offered for sale on a handful of websites.

Mislan, a former communications electronic warfare officer in the U.S. Army, said law enforcement has "very specific worries" about how cell-phone jammers could be used by criminals.
But even someone looking to do no more than hush an annoying neighbor on the bus could do some harm, he said.

For example, in the Philadelphia case, the jammer could have cut off the bus driver's communication with a dispatcher who was trying to communicate emergency or traffic information. And that's not to mention other folks in the area (aside from the offensive loud talkers) who may have missed potentially important phone calls.

Yes, because they don't use cb radios. Why would you want to alert all the buses at once when you can call each bus driver, explain the situation, hang up, dial the next bus driver, explain the situation, hang up and then call the next bus driver and so on. And oh yes- the other "folks" who may have missed potentially important phone calls/the end of the world.

"Who is he to play god with our cellphones?" Mislan said.


It's funny to me that to a lib, any individual standing up and doing what's right and taking individual initiative is "playing god". Are they so dead set against individual responsibility that to decide on your own to stand up for your rights and the rights of others around you is the equivalent of "playing god"? Really? Would they only be happy if nobody ever stood up and only waited for "the proper authorities" to show up and handle things for us? Will they only be happy when none of us can act for ourselves and all issues can only be handled by committee? Nossir, No thank you. Not for me.

Jammers work in much the same way online denial-of-service attacks on websites do -- transmitting a signal on the same frequency as mobile phone calls in the area.

That's not how a DOS attack works but close enough, assistant professor. We stupids wouldn't understand anyway.

"In layman's terms, they basically just interrupt the signals in the area," Mislan said. "They are a louder signal, if you will, than anything else in the area. As a phone tries to connect to a tower, it can't because there's this other noise, if you will, in the way."

Under federal law, illegally using a jammer can result in jail time and fines up to $16,000.
So, if they're illegal and potentially harmful, why is it so easy to find a jammer online?
"It's the Internet. I can buy anything I want, anywhere at any time," Mislan said. "Unfortunately, it's all about the dollar."

Now, you might consider this to be impinging upon the freedom of speech of others but keep in mind that your freedoms are only your right when they don't impinge upon the freedoms of others.
