The Klown's favorite

Hey -- from now on -- whenever you're watching "Cops" or the like -- you'll know when the Klown is laughing like hell.

Invariably one of these fucking geniuses is going to be on the ground -- with his face ground into asphalt -- and little pieces of asphalt in his mouth -- with the cop's knee in the back of his neck -- getting handcuffed -- and he's going to quothe "What did I do? ... What did I do?" -- over and over and over -- you know -- cuz he thinks the cops don't know everything.

This is how dumb these fucks are:

1 - They think they're going to get away if they put on a high-speed chase.

2 - They think they are going to learn how much the cop knows by asking "what did I do?" over and over -- you know -- hoping the cop will be as dumb as their parents.

Anyway -- I know how these guys feel see -- cuz many times in my life, I have been walking around -- minding my own business -- when -- by mistake -- BOOM, a cop is on my back, rubbing my face in the road and handcuffing me. OH wait -- nevermind -- that's never happinked.

It never fails to make me laugh out loud.

Nice headline, "objective" jackass

Huckabee campaigning for 23% sales tax
By Janet Hook, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
December 24, 2007

Does she say "Tax reform?"
Does she say "Campaigning to get rid of income tax?"

Does she try to be fair? -- Or does she try to mislead?

Ohhhh -- The LA Times -- I get it.

Gee -- I wonder how their financial picture looks.

This from Newsbusters:
Frantic for Revenue,
LA Times Plans to Place Ads On Front Page
By Dave Pierre July 16, 2007 - 07:25 ET

Revenue is down big time at the Los Angeles Times, and desperate times call for desperate measures. Here you go:

Amid a steep decline in revenue, the Los Angeles Times is planning to break with long-standing tradition by selling ads on its front page, Publisher David Hiller said Friday (7/13/07).

When it happens, the newspaper will be the largest metropolitan paper in the country to place ads there.

I absolutely love Patterico's response to the news:

The paper already runs ads for Democrats on the front page. They might as well get paid for it.

Bingo! Absolutely right on. (We've reported about the Times' front-page, hot-n-heavy love for the Democrats here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, for example.)

2nd Q: "Cash flow down a whopping 27%, making it one of the worst quarters ever experienced."

Hey, Janet - you dumbass, liberal snatch - "SOME SAY" you suck.

GO BROKE YOU ROTTEN, CHEATING, ASSHOLES.

Loved this

Explanation: Today (Dec 21 - the shortest day of the year) the Solstice occurs at 0608 Universal Time, the Sun reaching its southernmost declination in planet Earth's sky. Of course, the December Solstice marks the beginning of winter in the northern hemisphere and summer in the south. When viewed from northern latitudes, the Sun will make its lowest arc through the sky along the southern horizon. So in the north, the Solstice day has the shortest length of time between sunrise and sunset and fewest hours of daylight. This striking composite image follows the Sun's path through the December Solstice day of 2005 in a beautiful blue sky, looking down the Tyrrhenian Sea coast from Santa Severa toward Fiumicino, Italy. The view covers about 115 degrees in 43 separate, well-planned exposures from sunrise to sunset. Bigger pic here at Astronomy pic of the day:

Gotta give her credit on this one

Elect me and oil prices instantly drop,
says Hillary Clinton in Iowa
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Hillary Clinton predicted Saturday that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.

When the world hears her commitment at her inauguration about ending American dependence on foreign fuel, Clinton says, oil-pumping countries will lower prices to stifle America's incentive to develop alternative energy.

"I predict to you, the oil-producing countries will drop the price of oil," Clinton said, speaking at the Manchester YWCA. "They will once again assume, once the cost pressure is off, Americans and our political process will recede."

Clinton argued that former President Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s actually started moving in the right direction toward energy independence, but his successor, Ronald Reagan, "dismantled" that work.

"Because costs were low, people didn't care, didn't complain," she said.

She warned that folks shouldn't be grateful now if oil countries cut prices from near $100 a barrel to $60 or $70, and compared it to trying to boil a frog.

"You put him in hot water, it jumps right out, you put him in cold water and turn up the heat - he's a goner," she said. "We've got to figure out how were going to not be the frog in the cold water anymore."

Way to go, conservatives, for grabbing a hot issue and using it to win. Oh wait -- it wasn't the conservatives. Still -- call me shocked that any of these morons had the sense to jump on this issue.

I guess the conservatives are still on those super-hot topics, abortion and gay marriage -- way to go, jackasses.
Hee haww -- hee hawww -- why did we lose our majority in both houses of congress?

The Klown is curious though -- howcum she has to be President to do this? Howcum we haven't been hearing about this whenever she's interviewed in the media for the last few years?
Shirley Bassey rarely does "behind the scenes". In fact, she rarely does interviews of any kind, preferring to let her prodigious voice and that painstakingly cultivated air of glamour do the talking.

Few would recognise this rather slight figure as the vertiginously high-heeled, big-bosomed diva of Big Spender or Diamonds Are Forever, but this may be no bad thing.

She is safe enough here within the portrait-lined walls of Cliveden House in Berkshire, the sort of hotel where the staff remember she is a Dame Commander of the British Empire. But a recent brush with the criminal classes has left her shaken.

"It was all rather nerve-racking," she says. "I was Christmas shopping in Knightsbridge with my daughter Sharon. We'd been into Harvey Nichols to find some presents.

"Somebody must have seen all the money and cards when I opened my bag to pay and followed me. I felt a bump but nothing more than that. And when I opened my bag at the next shop, there was no purse."

"This isn't England any more - at least it is not the country I remember growing up in," she says. "You don't hear English spoken here. You read about terrible things - not just drugs but all the killings. More here:

Oh yeah -- THIS is what we want for America too -- right libs? The Europeans have the right idea about EVERYTHING, right libs? Oh -- they're SOOOO enlightened. If by "enlightened" you mean brain-dead jackasses.

Scottsdale geniuses

PHOENIX (AP) - Police in suburban Scottsdale have begun routinely asking for proof of citizenship from every suspect they arrest and turning those who are in this country illegally over to federal immigration officials.

The procedure was started Oct. 15, a result of the September killing of Phoenix police officer Nick Erfle by an illegal immigrant, Erik Jovani Martinez.

Scottsdale police had arrested Martinez on a misdemeanor charge 16 months earlier but they released him then because they didn't know he was an illegal immigrant who had been twice deported.

Erfle's killing "caused us to look at what were asking suspects," Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said. "If we arrest someone and then find that we called ICE (Customs and Immigration Enforcement) and they put a hold on them, then we know they have been deported and are back again."

Martinez was later killed by police after he stole a car and took a hostage, authorities said.

Now police in the affluent suburb ask every suspect about their citizenship, have ICE agents pick up those who are in this country illegally, and keep a database of possible illegal immigrants in case they turn up again.

Scottsdale Mayor Mary Manross supports the policy change and said that because every suspect is asked about citizenship, police are not engaged in racial profiling.

"I would not tolerate that," Manross said. "I think the chief has struck the right balance to do what we want to achieve." More here:

Ok -- first of all -- he's not a fucking immigrant -- he's an ALIEN.

2nd of all -- let this be a lesson to the rest of you police departments -- never use common sense and never act prematurely -- always wait until someone is senselessly killed before implementing new policy.

3rd of all -- someone explain to me -- why is racial profiling bad? Is it because it has the word "racial" in it? Or is it because the libs are afraid more criminals would be caught? Or is it because we don't want to hurt people's feelings?

Lastly -- what the hell is "ICE" going to do with them? Deport them? OH boy -- that works great (see above.) They won't do a damn thing. Congress is still trying to sneak "immigration reform" (amnesty) by you by introducing a new form of it every week. Last week they gutted the border-fence bill. Nothing will be done until the supporters of amnesty are thrown from congress and that will never happen because most Americans ... well ... you know.

More jackass media

From Newsbusters:
By Tom Blumer December 23, 2007 - 09:21 ET

Media chooses its terms carefully:
It's "Holiday" shopping (not "Christmas" shopping)
But it's "Christmas" layoffs (not "holiday" layoffs)

In 2005, I sensed that journalists in general prefer to call this time of the year in commerce that of "holiday shopping" instead of "Christmas shopping," but that when it came to people losing their jobs, they preferred to describe layoffs as relating to "Christmas."

My instincts were proven correct that year and in 2006, so I chose to track the same items this year to look for any noticeable change or trend.

As in previous years, it was pretty easy to predict the results. But the extent of the disparity might surprise you.

The association of Christmas with layoffs in 2007 occurred at over triple the rate (39.3% ÷ 12.2%) of its association with shopping. That is the highest ratio of the three years reviewed.

Here are just two examples of headlines that piled on in difficulat situations where people were let people go:
- Workers Laid Off One Week Before Christmas
- Merry Christmas: 80 Are Laid Off (link requires subscription)

So what I found in 2007 holds even more strongly than what I saw in 2006 and 2005, which is this -- It seems beyond dispute that there is a strong bias against using the word “Christmas” to describe not only the shopping season, as noted above, but also events, parades, and festivals that happen during the Christmas season. There is, however, one notable exception -- "Christmas" is a word that is much more acceptable to use when "Scrooge" employers are letting people go. More (including charts) here:

We can always trust the American media to give us the straight information. Those guys never let us down. It would seem like someone would get the idea that people are tired of this shit and then create a good, trustworthy news outlet -- but they canna -- because Americans are such idiots, the honest ones would go out of business from low ratings/circulation. The ironing is delicious.

Uh -- NO GOOOOOoooo!!!!

Simple mousetrap

The It’s So Simple multi-catch mouse trap requires a five gallon plastic pail with about three inches of water in it (the water is also bait in dry environments) or dry if live catch. Just bait the bait holder hanging down from the ramp with peanut butter, cheese or other food with good aroma, set up in an out of the way area over the pail with the screw head down and on the inside of the pail. Check every few hours to release your live catch or periodically to dispose of the drowned rodents and to add water as needed. More here:

From Newsbusters:

Lakota withdraw from treaties,
declare independence from U.S.

The Lakota Sioux Indians, whose ancestors include Sitting Bull, Red Cloud and Crazy Horse, have withdrawn from all treaties their forefathers signed with the U.S. government and have declared their independence. More here:

Wow, it sounds momentous, alright. But, who says that "the Lakota Sioux Indians" have abandoned their treaties?

"We are no longer citizens of the United States of America and all those who live in the five-state area that encompasses our country are free to join us," said Russell Means, a longtime Indian rights activist. "This is according to the laws of the United States, specifically Article 6 of the Constitution," which states that treaties are the supreme law of the land.

And who is the Russell Means? He is a long time Indian activist who does not officially represent any tribe, that's who. It takes the local press to make this clear. The Rapid City Journal of Rapid City, South Dakota informs us that, "Means' group is based in Porcupine on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation," and that "it is not an agency or branch of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Means ran unsuccessfully for president of the tribe in 2006." His "group?" What -- a couple of drinking buddies and a peyote burnout -- fuck -- spare me.

Yet in report after report, this Means character is presented as if he is "the Lakota Sioux" when, in truth, all he really is is A Lakota Sioux -- not a representative of all of them. He does not represent American Indians except as a tangential, activist. He has no authority to make this "declaration of Independence" for the Lakota or any other American Indian tribe.

It turns out that these reports are nearly all just a rehash of Russell Means’ press releases and not based on any real reporting at all.

Hey -- USA Today -- Thanks for grasping at straws -- thanks for making making America look bad on the thinnest of pretenses. Thanks for misrepresenting -- which you do everyday -- thanks for the outright lying and cheating -- we really appreciate it.

The Associated Press

Excerpts: - The rest of the "article" here:
Republican solidarity also forced House Democrats to abandon a campaign promise to avoid new deficit spending by paying for new programs with tax increases or budget cuts. Yes - but angelic Dimocrats never blocked satanic Republican legislation, Right Chuckie? Or did you forget that?

In the Senate, Republicans repeatedly used their filibuster powers to block or weaken Democratic proposals. Backed by President Bush's veto threats, the minority party managed to sharply limit the Democrats' influence on a range of issues throughout the year. Exactly -- but nevermind that Dimocrats have filibustered all Bush's judicial nominees for years. Nevermind that filibustering judicial nominees has never been done in history - right Chuckie? Are my eyelids supposed to be getting heavy, Chuckie?

The Iraq spending bill came to a vote only because Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., refused to embrace the hardline partisan philosophy of her predecessor. Former Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill. Tsk -- that guy's a real hardline partisan, isn't he? Tell me, Chuckie, have you ever described ANY Dimocrat as "hardline? How 'bout "partisan." How 'bout "staunch?" No? Gee, I wonder why.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., says little can be done until and unless more Democrats replace Republicans in the Senate. Really? Is that his direct quote, Chuckie? And how hard did you have to coach him to get him to say it -- you know -- since it seems so obvious -- did you have to write it down and shove it under his nose to get him to say the words?

And, speaking of that fucking Dimwit, Harry Reid, did you ask him about how being a Mormon might influence his decisions in office? NO? Why not? The media sure seems to be obsessed about Mormonism when the candidate is a Republican. It's completely different when it's a Dimocrap, right Chuckie?

"We need to do more" on numerous fronts, he said in his party's weekly radio address Saturday, "but time after time, when Democrats have fought for change, President Bush and Republicans in Congress have stood in the way." Yes -- it's those dastardly Republicans, right Chuckie? If not for them, we'd really have us some "progress" -- right Chuckie?

Hey -- Associated Press and Chuckie -- thanks for the totally objective jourrrrrrnalism -- communist jackasses.

Sometimes, Israel asks for it

Olmert Rules Out Truce Talks With Hamas

JERUSALEM (AP) - Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday ruled out cease-fire talks with the Gaza Strip's Islamic Hamas rulers, vowing to press ahead with a "true war" against Palestinian militants who attack southern Israeli communities with rocket and mortar fire.

Meanwhile, a Cabinet minister confirmed that Israel has yet another plan to build hundreds of apartments in disputed east Jerusalem and the West Bank—touching off a new crisis in fledgling peace talks between Israel and the moderate, West Bank-based government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The Israeli military has struck hard in recent weeks against Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza. With troops appearing to make substantial gains, Olmert told his Cabinet there were no plans to slow down.

"Operations against terrorists will continue as they have been conducted for many months," Olmert said. "There is no other way to describe what is happening in the Gaza Strip except as a true war between the Israeli army and terror groups."

He said Israel would continue to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza to protect the area's civilians.

Israel sealed its borders with Gaza immediately after Hamas violently wrested control of the territory in June. Israel, which considers Hamas a terrorist group, has cut off most trade and reduced fuel shipments to the area.

Under heavy pressure from Israel's military gains and the economic embargo, Hamas has signaled readiness in recent days for a cease-fire. Several Israeli Cabinet ministers have said the government should consider the offer.

But Olmert told his Cabinet there would be no cease-fire until Hamas renounced violence and recognized Israel's right to exist—conditions set by the "Quartet" of international peace makers. "This policy will not change," he said.

The "Quartet" consists of the U.S., the European Union, the United Nations and Russia. More here:

It strikes me as odd that "several cabinet ministers" think the government should "consider the offer." Which ones? The brain-dead, arm-flailing, drooling idiots that don't realize the significance of the fact Hamas has broken every truce and cease fire that Israel has ever allowed them?

Honest to God -- people that stupid should not be allowed to talk, much less serve in the government. All they do is hold the rest of us back for decades and they're getting people killed. Just like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and John Murtha.

As Earth Warms Up, Tropical Virus Moves to Italy

After a month of investigation, Italian public health officials discovered that the people of Castiglione di Cervia were, in fact, suffering from a tropical disease, chikungunya, a relative of dengue fever normally found in the Indian Ocean region. But the immigrants spreading the disease were not humans but insects: tiger mosquitoes, who can thrive in a warming Europe.

Aided by global warming and globalization, Castiglione di Cervia has the dubious distinction of playing host to the first outbreak in modern Europe of a disease that had previously been seen only in the tropics. More here:

Yes -- you get the idea -- the earth has "warmed up" about one degree centigrade in the past 100 years (assuming they are measuring accurately) and this is what is causing the problem.

And how much of a brain-damaged, flinching, quivering, idiot do you have to be to buy it? Seriously -- and yet, this "reporter" writes it down as if it's all unquestioned fact. And they wonder why their influence (and revenue) is plummeting. The modern media is to be ridiculed.

Ingrate has only self interests in mind

From Neatorama:

For years, Steve Flaig, a delivery truck driver a Grand Rapids Lowe’s store, had searched for his birth mother.

He found her last Friday, working the cash register at the front of the store. For several months, Flaig and his mother, Christine Tallady, had known each other casually as co-workers.

It was a tough decision for Tallady, unmarried at the time, to give him up when he was born on Oct. 5, 1985, but “I wasn’t ready to be a mother,” she said. Flaig had always known he was adopted. It was never hidden from him by his adoptive parents and they supported him when he began to search for his birth parents.

When Flaig turned 18 he asked DA Blodgett for Children, the agency that arranged his adoption, for his background information. A couple of months later it came and it included his birth mother’s name. He searched the Internet for her address and when it came up empty he gave up the search. But around the time of his 22nd birthday he again took out the paperwork from DA Blodgett and realized he had been spelling his mother’s surname wrong as “Talladay.” He typed “Tallady” into a search engine and came up with an address less than a mile from the Lowe’s store.

He mentioned the coincidence to his boss, and she said, “You mean Chris Tallady, who works here?”

“I was like, there’s no possible way,” he said. “It’s just such a bizarre situation.”

He had been working at Lowe’s for two years. She was hired in April as head cashier.

OK -- I have something to say here. Since when is it OK to "look up your birth parents" if you're adopted? Yeah, yeah -- I know -- the liberals with shitforbrains think it's all hip and lava-lamp like -- but what thinking person buys it?

In reality, it's not hip, it's pathetic. You've got to have very little respect for yourself to go find someone who rejected you and then inflict yourself upon them like a pathetic jilted stalking lover.
Ah -- but who cares about others -- right libs?

I've got news for you, If I adopted a kid and raised him for 18 years -- and the fucker went looking for his "real dad" -- I'd have a problem with it. I can't imagine how much it would hurt me ... and my relationship with the kid would never be the same. Course -- I'd NEVER raise a whining, sniveling, self-hating, kumbaya lib -- so it would be low risk.

I wouldn't discourage the kid from doing it because, if I hadn't raised him better than that, it would be too late then.

If you have a medical need, fine -- get the medical info -- but don't go bothering them -- if they had wanted you, they'd have kept you -- GOT ME -- SAD FUCKS.

But Klown -- you weren't adopted and you don't know how it feels.

Yes -- I was, -- and I would NEVER have insulted my dad by looking for my biological father as if I were some lost puppy -- EVER.

From Newbusters: Moyers Asked Olbermann: 'Should Journalists Take Sides?'
By Tim Graham December 17, 2007 - 23:26 ET

Call it a meeting of the Bush-bashing minds. Longtime PBS host Bill Moyers invited on MSNBC host Keith Olbermann for Friday’s edition of Bill Moyers Journal. The strangest moment came as Moyers suggested that in a polarized country, it might be distasteful for journalists to favor one side. Moyers must be playing devil’s advocate, because he’s been every bit as vituperative against Bush as Olbermann.

The worries about polarization and contributing to "a nation of screechers" came up twice. More here:

Hey -- I'll answer your question, jackass. Journalists always take sides - they can't help it -- they're humans. So why don't you just tell people which side you're on -- instead of pretending to be unbiased? Wouldn't that be so much more honest?

Of course, people would find it mighty strange that the dimocrats outnumber republicans by 10 to 1 in that business. Mighty strange indeed.

I don't understand why he asked the question in the first place -- all these two jackasses do is bash Bush and or conservatives -- that's all they do -- 100% of the time -- so why now with the "should we take sides?"

And he asks it as if they haven't been "taking sides" -- it's just that all their "objective reporting" is about how bad Bush and conservatives are and, conversely, how good dumocrats and liberals are.

MOVE TO CUBA, YOU TWO FUCKWITS.

Time's Two Conservative Columnists Shown the Door
By Matthew Sheffield December 19, 2007 - 15:46 ET

Time magazine has terminated its relationships with its two conservative columnists, Charles Krauthammer and William Kristol. The New York Observer has the details:

The exact reasons for the departures of Mr. Krauthammer and Mr. Kristol, both high-profile backers of the Iraq war, are not entirely clear.

“I was very happy to work with them,” said Mr. Krauthammer on the phone from his Washington office. “And I have a lot of things that occupy me.”

Asked if he would have preferred to stay with the magazine, Mr. Krauthammer, a Pulitzer Prize winner who writes a regular column for The Washington Post, suggested there wasn’t much of a choice. “It’s a hypothetical that didn’t arise,” he said. More here:

I'll bet Time Magazine is having a party now that those pesky conservatives are out of the picture.
