WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is standing by its quick decision to oust a black Agriculture Department employee over racially tinged remarks at an NAACP banquet in Georgia, despite evidence that her remarks were misconstrued and growing calls for USDA to reconsider.

Shirley Sherrod, who until Tuesday was the Agriculture Department's director of rural development in Georgia, says the administration caved to political pressure by pushing her to resign for saying that she didn't give a white farmer as much help as she could have 24 years ago, when she worked for a nonprofit group.

"They called me twice," she told The Associated Press in an interview. "The last time they asked me to pull over to the side of the road and submit my resignation on my Blackberry, and that's what I did."

Sherrod said administration officials weren't interested in hearing her explanation. "It hurts me that they didn't even try to attempt to see what is happening here, they didn't care," she said. "I'm not a racist ... Anyone who knows me knows that I'm for fairness." The rest here:

Yes you are, Shirley.  You are a witch and they found you out.   You're just as much of a witch as most people are.  And now you will pay with your livelihood and your reputation ... oh, and good luck trying to find a decent job after this, it's over. 

This is what you get for being silent when others were losing their livelihoods from being called a witch.   I sure hope your children like to do with less.

This is what you get when you vote for politically correct geniuses incompetent boobs over and over.  Incompetent boobs who have been cowed into silence like everyone else for fear of being called a witch.

It's also what you get when you insist on funding the propaganda arm of the politically correct geniuses liberal media by purchasing the products they advertise.

I'm afraid we, as consumers, need to be a lot smarter about the way we spend our money.  We need to find ways to support media/websites which provide information that isn't, erm, INSANE.   Personally, I've never taken much time to determine which advertisers support which media.  That's going to change. In my view, this is a critical (yet overlooked) avenue available to us to effect change.

Yeah, I'm only one person.  I can't make a difference.  You're right, I should all just remain silent, remain  obedient, and accept my fate.

I wonder if there's a web site dedicated to this already.  I shall look into it and report back if I find anything of interest.

Gaaa - teens were "victimized"

Cathleen M. Miller, 40, is charged with criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse, accused of molesting four of her daughter's 14- and 15-year-old male friends and giving them alcohol and marijuana.

Miller had intercourse with two of the teens, oral sex with a third and fondled a fourth, according to prosecutors, who said the boys were friends with Miller's teenage daughter.

Omg, SUCH "abuse."   The poor innocents are scarred for life.  They probably didn't realize what she was doing.  They were all "Hey, Mrs M, what's up?  Hey, what are you doing?  That feels funny, Mrs M -- stop, stop, STOP!!

The parents of another teen who had attended the parties figured out what was going on and contacted authorities, court records indicate. That teen was not considered a victim. More at cbs2chicago.com:

Some Learning For You

I heard of this first on an episode of "NCIS" of all places. I wonder if he memorized the lyrics?

I first watched this video before people were posting videos on the internet. I'm glad it made it through the transition because this guy is royally stupid. He sure seemed a lot more sure of himself before his feat of wonder. Something tells me he should have tested 'er out beforehand.

The brilliant commentator says, "it's hard to watch this without laughing". Yes... and? She continues to say "the ladder slips". The ladder doesn't slip. The mechanical genius only had it attached at the bottom. He used the fence a second point of stabilization but he climbs so far up the ladder that it acts only as a fulcrum. He has so much leverage way up there on the ladder that he's able to miraculously flex what he formerly thought was an inflexible object.

Once the ladder flexes, it leaves him wiggling his legs in midair as though if he scurried fast enough, he'd get enough traction to propel himself over the water instead of falling head first into the cement. Luckily for him, his head broke the fall from what would otherwise mean certain damage to his legs.

NAACP is nothing more than a bunch of bigots?

St. Louis Tea Party organizer Bill Hennessy wrote on the group's website Tuesday that the Tea Party stands for smaller government and fiscal responsibility, and accused the NAACP of abandoning black America.

"When you look at the crime and poverty and family breakdown of the African-American community ... you see a half-century of failure by the NAACP," he wrote. "None of those persistent problems was caused by the Tea Party movement, yet the principles of the Tea Party are exactly what's needed to wind down the multigenerational destruction in the African-American community.

"The NAACP was once a vital weapon in the war against segregation and oppression. All that's left is a bigoted and malicious shell that does far more harm than good for people who need a break," he wrote.

Fellow St. Louis Tea Party organizer Dana Loesch accused the NAACP of morphing into a political organization.

My take?  The NAACP may have been a civil rights organization at some point, but I don't remember it.  I've always thought they were nothing more than black racists dressed up in suits.  They don't do anything for black people.  All they do is point and holler "witch" "racist" at white people.

Facts? They mean nothing to liberals

You know the part I like best about this video.  When the reporter asks Harry Reid why he didn't allow Senator Session's bill (on E-Verify) up for a vote -- and Harry says -- this is why we need comprehensive reform, we can't do it piecemeal.

Excuse me?  You can't let employers use the E-Verify unless you do "comprehnsive immigration reform?"  Why not?  I ask you ... is Harry an idiot?  Or does he think we're idiots?  Cuz I'm thinking it's one or the other.

And yes, he's in total denial about how illegal immigration is affecting jobs and the economy in general ... not to mention costing us billions of our hard-earned dollars.  Politicians who steal our money like this need to be jailed.

"Controversial" Billboard - no wait, EVERYONE hates it

DES MOINES, Iowa – A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group that compares President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin is drawing sharp criticism — even from fellow tea party activists who have condemned it as offensive and a waste of money.

The North Iowa Tea Party began displaying the billboard in downtown Mason City last week. The sign shows large photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels "Democratic Socialism," "National Socialism," and "Marxist Socialism."

Anyway, I love how this "jourrrrrnalist" tells you that everyone hates this billboard -- just EVERYONE -- even the teabaggers who paid to put it up -- that's right -- even stupid, despicable teabaggers hate this billboard.  Those stupid teabaggers ... they're just so confused ... and stupid.  You know what I mean -- stupid -- like Sarah Palin is stupid -- and all conservatives are stupid -- you get the idea -- and all liberals are geniuses and masterminds.

I wonder where this totally fair and objective jourrrrnalist was when  crap like this was everywhere for eight years.  Seriously, you couldn't swing a dead cat without getting fur all over some Bush-Hitler sign.  I guess these types of things didn't "draw criticism."  They weren't "controversial."

Ever notice how jourrrrnalists use the word "controversial?"  For example, Arizona's immigration law is "controversial."  However, Obama suing Arizona to stop them from enforcing immigration law is NOT controversial ... get it?  Good.

From now on, whenever you hear an idiot lib jourrrrnalist use the word "controversial," you'll know you're about to hear some serious bullshit coming right behind it.

The jet jockey decided to show off.   

The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, 'watch this!' and promptly
went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb. He then finished
with a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier. The F-16 pilot
asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of that?   

The C-130 pilot said, 'That was impressive, but watch this!' 

The C-130 then droned along for about 5 minutes and then the C-130  pilot came back on and said: 'What did you think of that?'

Ok, here's the call ... I signed up to get this free bumper sticker.

I have several reasons I think this is fun ... here are a few.

1 - I want jourrrrrnalists (and other idiot libs) to see it and read it as "In your face, jackass."

2 - I went a long time thinking there was something wrong with the media but I couldn't put my finger on it.  Had I seen one of these stickers I think it would have helped me see the pattern of liberalism much sooner.

3 - Most of the old "news media" is going broke faster than a redneck in a strip club but they continue to aggressively push a socialist agenda, and it's affecting my happiness.

How far should American society should go to accommodate people who don't know English?

New Jersey's Supreme Court has ruled that police must inform drunken driving suspects in their native language that they are legally required to take a breathalyzer test.

Three years ago, German Marquez was involved in a two-car accident. New Jersey police, who suspected him of DUI, read him a statement explaining that he had to consent to take a breath test and that failure to comply could lead to suspension of your driver’s license and a fine of up to two grand.

Marquez didn't consent. That's because he doesn't speak English. He only speaks Spanish. So Marquez was convicted on two charges: Driving while intoxicated, and; refusing to take a breath test when asked by police to do so.

Marquez' lawyer, Michael Blacker, didn't challenge the DUI conviction, but appealed the conviction on refusing to take the breath test. Blacker argued that the explanation about the law on testing should have been given in Spanish, as the accused does not understand English.

Blacker not only wanted the court to overturn the conviction but wanted the court to mandate translations of the breath test statement --which state law requires to be read before it's administered. The attorney says that if the statement is translated, it'll "level the playing field equal to English speakers."

The court agreed. In its 4-3 decision, the court overturned the conviction because the officer failed to inform the motorist, in Spanish, that he would lose his license if he refused the test.

Until today's ruling, no state had required translation of the statement for non-English speakers. In most states, drivers give implied consent to a breath test as a condition to the privilege of being allowed to drive on the road. It's known as the implied consent law. And in most states, police are required to make a reasonable effort to inform drivers of the consequences of refusing to take the test.

Marquez claimed he didn't know about that law.

Makes you wonder then, why we even have a state-issued drivers' manual to explain the rules of the road, a manual states make readily available in various translations so that non-English speakers can study for the driver's exam in their native language. Still, in support of attorney Michael Blacker's case, the ACLU filed an amicus brief arguing that non-English speakers are unfairly treated because they are "held to a higher standard of remembering their prior study of the driver's manual" than are English speakers.

Really? You mean after reading the driver's manual in your own language, you're going to plead that ignorance of the law is now a valid excuse?

One would hope one remembers not to go through a red light. You'd think one would remember they're not supposed to drive under the influence. Do they leave that out of the driver's manual when it's translated into another language?

If the man doesn't understand English, how does he read traffic signs, all of which are in English? How do you read the sign held by the road construction worker, "stop" or "slow"? If they can't read "Exit Ramp – Do Not Enter" couldn't innocent people die? The ACLU doesn't answer that question.

Lower courts ruled against Marquez though they did recommend that New Jersey make translations of the consent statement available in Spanish and other languages, which the state did. An official website provides recordings of the breath test statement in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish. The problem here: Police can access the site and play the statement in the suspect’s preferred language, though using the site remains at the discretion of the police and, according to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, "is not intended to create any substantive rights for DUI arrestees."

The implications nationwide are obvious. The ruling sets a precedent that can be applied in other states, forcing states to spend tax dollars to accommodate non-English speaking drivers, or it might also affect how vigorously police apply the implied consent law at a DUI stop or even how they arrest people for DUI in the first place.

FYI: Police spoke in Spanish when asking Marquez to produce a license, but they didn't speak Spanish in reading the DUI statement.

FYI 2: Marquez isn't driving in New Jersey at the moment: He's "been in prison since last July on unrelated drug offenses."

Should drivers be given a license if they're not literate in English?

FYI: Non-English speaking foreign tourists are a separate category. They can drive legally with a license from their home country, and an International Driving Permit which will translate the information from, for example, a French Permis de Conduire into English, for the benefit of an American highway patrolman. The reason for making them an exception is that their presence is temporary and they tend to be from first world countries, some of which have higher standards of driver's education than the U-S. Resident aliens, legal and illegal, are in the country 365 days a year, and potentially could be driving all day, every day
