Full body scans at airports.

People have been debating about whether full body scans are a good solution in airports. Right now, the ruling is that if you don't want to get scanned, that's your choice, but you can't fly. I think that's fair enough. Contrary to the standard criticism, the scanners do not show nudity. If people object to the scan for personal, modesty or religious reasons, they should take the time to learn the truth and the facts first.

That said, I just read an even better solution than barring people from flying:

An engineer, ex-NASA project director, has what is the near perfect
solution for airport security.

"Here's the solution to all the controversy over full body scanners at
the airports.

Have a booth that you can step into that will not x-ray you, but will
detonate any explosive you may have on you.

It would be a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this crap
about racial profiling and this method would eliminate a long and expensive
trial.

Justice would be quick and swift.
That solution should settle any debate on the topic for good.

JOY BEHAR: I could say a few things. First of all, the botox joke was an easy laugh, so I wouldn’t have even bothered with that. ... That’s a hacky joke, and the writer should be yelled at for that one. The Tina Fey joke was good, on the other hand, because it was about her, and she took the shot against herself. That was great. The thing that fascinates me about her is her confidence as a standup. It took me so long to get that confidence. It’s the same confidence that she has that she thinks she could be President. It’s almost delusional.
I think she meant "hacknied joke" although she might not know that word so she thought it meant "hacky" as in "related to a hack comic".

I wonder how many takes this took.

The Klown - Amnesia fighter extraordinaire

Hey, remember this from last July?  Remember how they were warning us about the DEADLY SWINE FLU ... day after day ... 24 hours a day?  Oh, they created quite the panic among the sheeple ... baaaaa, bleat.

(AP) Two major health organizations say the H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic could effect a vast portion of the world's population in the coming years. In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the number of Americans stricken with H1N1 could reach 20 to 40 percent of the population over the next two years.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization's flu chief says the global H1N1(swine flu) outbreak is still in its early stages and 2 billion infections over the course of the pandemic is "a reasonable ballpark to be looking at." More at cbsnews:

LMAO - The "World Health Organization." Seriously, what the hell is wrong with the media that they are ALWAYS wrong? They just parrot whatever liberal pablum comes from these "organizations" ... no research ... no fact checking ... nothing. And when they're wrong, like they ALWAYS are, they don't apologize, they don't feel humiliation, they just go on as if they're the heroes of the world.

And they wonder why they're getting their asses kicked ... why do they continue to flounder ... why do the polls show the public's confidence in them declining year after year ... why, oh why, ... it's such a mystery to them.  Good job, media ... you're all such geniuses.  Don't worry though, all the flailing is free.

Story (by Libs I say) here.

Obama, man of his word

White House officials tell ABC News that in his remarks tomorrow President Obama will indicate a willingness to work with Republicans on some issue to get a health care reform bill passed but will suggest that if it is necessary, Democrats will use the controversial "reconciliation" rules requiring only 51 Senate votes to pass the "fix" to the Senate bill, as opposed to the 60 votes to stop a filibuster and proceed to a vote on a bill. More at the abcnews blog:

Oh really?  That sounds like fair play to me ... you know, just like the Democrats always claim.  They're for "the little guy" ... they're on "your side."  Now, what was it Obama was saying not long ago?  Oh yeah ...

Oh yes, a trustworthy man of uncompromising principles. I like a man that keeps his word.  A man that says what he means and means what he says, don't you?  Now what are the chances the media will be all over this?  Will they be harping and harping on it, 24 hours a day for weeks?  Or will it simply slide off into the sunset to facilitate the amnesia and political stupor of the American sheep?

Reagan on Our Money? - I Can Get Behind This Idea

Republican Rep. Patrick T. McHenry of North Carolina wants to sub Reagan on the nation's $50 bill for President Ulysses S. Grant, a union general during the Civil War who led the North to victory and later became the nation's 18th POTUS.

Story - from the LA Times - here.

They're whining about an airport and a statue. Wait 'til the Libs have to pay for a Venti Latte with one of these.
Personally, I think it's time to bring back the $500 bill - and RWR should be on it.

I liked the part where he gets MYSTERIOUSLY trapped under the ice.

No WONDER the lefties hate her.

Nature DOES Have a Sense of Humor

Residents in a remote desert town in Australia, 525km (about 325 miles!) from the nearest river, have witnessed two days of fish raining from the sky. Lajamanu in the Northern Territory, with a population of 669, has seen hundreds of small white fish - many still alive - fall from rain clouds. Weather experts in Australia believe that the fish, spangled perch, were sucked up in a thunderstorm before being dumped over the tiny town. This is the third time in less than 30 years that Lajamanu has been bombarded by falling fish.

Maybe this explains the "Manna from heaven" story from the Bible.

Tax Cuts Must be Offset by Tax Increases.

Usually, they let more time pass between those two statements.

Compliments of Diversity Lane.
"
As you can see this is a shovel ready project. I am involved with this project as are two other citizens of this country. I was sure we would receive some of the shovel ready stimulus monies being thrown around but apparently we do not qualify for the money even though this is a project that employed 3 men for 4 hours of steady employment and who will spend profits made from this shovel ready project in our local community. Well I still have my fingers crossed to get funds for more shovel ready work in the next stimulus package.Posted by Picasa

Psychic Klown makes prediction

Jay Leno made news when he announced that Sarah Palin will be among his high-profile guests when he returns to The Tonight Show next week (aka "The Jaysurrection"). Now David Letterman's lineup for next week pits Mitt Romney against Sarah Palin on Tuesday night -- and the ratings may well provide clues on which probable GOP presidential contender may be most popular. More here:

I'll go out on a limb and say Leno mops the floor with Letterman on Tuesday night.

Does this watch make my ass look gay?

Global Warming fear moves family to suicide

The Telegraph UK reports on one of the under-reported dangers of believing in man-made global warming:
Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their daughter and her toddler brother before killing themselves.
Their son Francisco, two, died instantly after being hit in the back.
However, their unnamed daughter cheated death after the bullet from her father’s handgun missed her vital organs….
And why would any parents want to kill themselves and their little baby? Al Gore and company had scared them to the point that life was no longer worth living.
Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.
The baby is better off without them.

Personally, I'd call this murder since none of the children who died chose their fate. Of course, that's just me and I'm not a Lib so what do I know?

"Scientists" issue apology - oh wait, no they didn't

HONOLULU — The warning was ominous, its predictions dire: Oceanographers issued a bulletin telling Hawaii and other Pacific islands that a killer wave was heading their way with terrifying force and that "urgent action should be taken to protect lives and property."

But the devastating tidal surge predicted after Chile's magnitude 8.8-earthquake for areas far from the epicenter never materialized and by Sunday, authorities had lifted the warning after waves half the predicted size tickled the shores of Hawaii and tourists once again jammed beaches and restaurants.

Scientists acknowledged they overstated the threat, but defended their actions, saying they took the proper steps and learned the lessons of the 2004 Indonesian tsunami that killed thousands of people who didn't get enough warning.

"It's a key point to remember that we cannot end the warnings. Failure to warn is not an option for us," said Dai Lin Wang, an oceanographer at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii. "We cannot have a situation that we thought was no problem and then it's devastating. That just cannot happen."  Uh, yes, you CAN end the warnings.  I've got an idea ... just say "We're sorry, we just don't KNOW if there's going to be a tsunami ... there is no way to know for sure."

Perhaps you dumbasses aren't familiar with the "Boy who cried wolf" story.  At least Japan had the common sense to apologize.

Hundreds of thousands of people fled shorelines for higher ground Saturday in a panic that circled the Pacific Rim after scientists warned 53 nations and territories that a tsunami had been generated by the massive Chilean quake.

It was the largest-scale evacuation in Hawaii in years, if not decades. Emergency sirens blared throughout the day, the Navy moved ships out of Pearl Harbor, and residents hoarded gasoline, food and water in anticipation of a major disaster. Some supermarkets even placed limits on items like Spam because of the panic buying. More here:

LMAO - they cost people serious money and trouble and they aren't the least bit apologetic.  They must be global warming scientists.
