Big mystery to solve - take heap big brain
"I kept saying, 'Stop! Stop! Stop!' " the boy said, describing the events of Monday night. "But he just ignored me. He didn't stop. He just kept hurting her."
The boy said he grabbed a knife and swung, slashing 64-year-old Salomon Noubissie across the neck and opening an artery. Noubissie was fatally wounded.
The mother, Cheryl Stamp, said she did not immediately understand what had happened. "What did you do?" she said she asked her son.
"He didn't say anything," she said. "But I knew when I looked in his eyes. I said, 'Oh, Lord.' "
Law enforcement officials were reviewing evidence yesterday and had not decided whether to file charges. Their preliminary account of the incident broadly matches that of the boy and his mother. They haven't decided -- this case is a real mystery with all the twists and turns.
The 12-year-old boy said yesterday that he was not happy about what he had done but that he knew that it was the right thing.
Well -- enjoy your ability to think clearly now, kid, because the media is going to turn your brain to mush.
The case presents exceedingly unusual circumstances: Rarely is a 12-year-old implicated in a homicide, and even less often does a child that age take a life to protect his mother. "Take a life?" Is that what you jourrrrrnalists call it when one fends off an attacker and he dies -- TAKING his life? That kid didn't TAKE shit. The jackass insisted on forfeiting his life. It's this kind of word-twisting that the media so often use to misrepresent an issue. They do it constantly and consistently.
Yes -- there CAN be a legitimate defense -- not saying for SURE -- but there can be -- you know -- after the people with mush for brains get it all sorted out. It's a "possibility" in this case -- not saying for sure -- we can never say anything for sure -- cuz the media has everyone convinced that there is no such thing as truth -- nothing is at it appears to be -- and jackasses with press passes don't deserve to be slapped across the chops at every opportunity -- baaaa - bleat.

Slip & fall lawyers win either way
A Pizza Hut deliverer fired shots at an armed robber who threatened his life, wounding him and leading to the criminal’s capture by police. What kind of reward did James Spiers get for his self-defense? Unemployment:A Des Moines pizza driver who was suspended from his job after he shot an armed robber said today he has been overwhelmed by support from people who cheered what happened.
“But no one had contacted me directly about a job offer,” said James William Spiers III, 38, who was sent home by Pizza Hut managers after he fired multiple shots at a man who put a gun to his head Thursday and demanded money …
Spiers, who has a valid handgun permit, said he’s been “pretty much in the dark” about his job since the incident. Vonnie Walbert, vice president of human resources at Pizza Hut’s corporate offices in Dallas, said last week that employees are not allowed to carry guns “because we believe that that is the safest for everybody.”
“I just know that, given what happened, it’s not likely I’ll have a job anyway,” Spiers said. “Right now, I’m just taking some time off, trying to cool things down.
Ok - Ok - calm down -- I know what you're thinking -- but it isn't Pizza Hut's fault. It's YOUR OWN damn fault for electing liberals who keep writing laws in favor of slip & fall lawyers -- and also filibustered almost every conservative judge for the last 8 years.
Look -- when you're an "EVIL CORPORATION" you are free and fair game for the slip & fall lawyers. If a corporation says it's ok for it's employees to carry guns and then, God forbid, an accident happens, the slip and falls will blame the company instead of the person. You know -- the same as blaming the homeowner if someone slips and falls on the sidewalk in front of the home owner's house. They know they EVIL INSURANCE COMPANY would rather pay than litigate -- very simple. And THAT is the reason EVIL CORPORATIONS make so many seemingly idiotic policies. Capisce?
If we ever get tort reform through and a sort of "loser pays" type of system, all of a sudden the EVIL INSURANCE COMPANIES will find it more desirable to defend themselves from this sort of bullshit suit, our insurance rates will come down, and slip & fall lawyers will dry up and go to hell.
Hey -- maybe the dead pizza guy's family will now be able to sue Pizza Hut for not allowing drivers to carry guns -- and this contributed to his death. Perfect for slip & falls -- they win both ways -- genius, huh?
If you vote for liberals, I hope this affects you VERY SOON.
Impartial media forgets party affilitaion
For some reason, MSNBC's Pete Williams left out the party affiliation of Louisiana's Rep. William Jefferson (D) in this March 31 item at the First Read blog: Yes -- "For some reason" - but what could it be? Prolly just an oversight.
In something of a surprise, the U.S. Supreme Court today declined to hear an appeal involving the FBI's unprecedented search of the Capitol Hill offices of Congressman William Jefferson.
A federal appeals court ruled that the FBI wrongly used its own agents look through the material seized to determine what might be covered by congressional privilege. This is a considerable victory for Jefferson, largely validating his objections to the search and giving him certain bragging rights. But prosecutors claim they have sufficient evidence independent of the search. The cash in his freezer, for example, was found well before Jefferson's offices were searched.
They caught the dirtbag with $90,000 crisp in his freezer. Big deal -- that doesn't prove anything -- EVERYONE keeps $90,000 crisp in the freezer. They're going to have to do better than that.
I love how he claims innocence though -- and then fights all the way to the Supreme Court to block incriminating evidence from finding its way to a jury. Why doesn't he say "I demand to prove my innocence. I DEMAND you search my office. Do it thoroughly so I can clear my name.
Radical pinheads are heroic
Radical Chic at the NYT: 'Heroic' Black Power Fists of '68 Olympics
By Clay Waters April 1, 2008 - 13:57 ET
New York Times reporter Katie Thomas embraced radical chic near the end of her front-page story Tuesday on the prospect for political protests at the 2008 Olympics, hosted by China.
Perhaps the best-known examples are the American sprinters John Carlos and Tommie Smith, who at the 1968 Games in Mexico City raised their clenched fists on the medal podium during the playing of the national anthem in a salute to black power. The action enraged the Olympic organizers, and Mr. Carlos and Mr. Smith were soon ushered out of the country. Now, 40 years later, their action is celebrated as heroic.
Oh yes indeed - whenver this subject comes up, just EVERYBODY talks about how heroic it was.
Raising a "Black Power" fist in defiance of the national anthem qualifies as heroic in the mind of the Times?
Radical Pan-African activist Stokely Carmichael, who coined the phrase, said of his movement:
When you talk of black power, you talk of building a movement that will smash everything Western civilization has created.

"We have two evils to fight, capitalism and racism. We must destroy both racism and capitalism."- Huey P. Newton - Yes -- but they aren't commies -- lmao.
I have to say, I think these men had their hearts in the right place -- I really do -- but, then again, so do ALL the libs -- The libs -- they're such geniuses. They're like little children who can vote on their own bedtime and then blame their parents when they're sleepy in school.
Gaaa - Ted Turner is getting hungry
Not doing it will be catastrophic. We'll be eight degrees hottest in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.

All I can say is, he should have known better than to stick his dick in Jane Fonda.
Canadian Bags O' Milk
In Canada, people buy milk in bags: The Canadian Milk Bag.This is a site dedicated to milk bags. Canadian milk bags to be more precise. (Dairy milk - not to be confused with breast milk which also come in bags.) Canada is not the only place to have milk bags (You can check that out in the misc. section). However, this site will mainly consist of them, which makes sense since I live in Canada. So don't go thinking I'm a milk bag racist.
I think the most irritating thing of all time (Next to maybe Adam Sandler) is when you're in the middle of a conversation and you happen to mention milk bags, and the other person is like "WHAT IS A MILK BAG?", and you try to explain what it is, and how exactly it works but the concept is still a very hard one for them to grasp.
So I have decided to take the liberty upon myself and make a site with all the possible milk bag information which can be jammed packed into one web space (10 megs). My goal is when a person is done looking through this website, to have them completely and utterly educated on everything milk bags related. Here are some of the comments from that post:

Sadly, these bags are from Parmalat, an Italian company.

You have to take them home and empty them into a pitcher. Pain in the butt.

Should go well with the dead cows. You really know how to spoil an appetite.

Ah, but, Mean Jean, they DON'T empty it into the pitcher. That's what I thought, too. They just stick the bag INTO the pitcher and cut a corner. It pours right out of the bag without being emptied into the pitcher.
Those darn Canadiens!

For most of my youth my mother purchased milk in a bag.

I would do the same were it not that the local dairy that produces milk in a bag does not have a lactose free offering.

As kids, my siblings and I would always try to cut the barest minimum off the corner of the milk bag, enabling us to shoot a thin, high-pressure stream of milk across the table and into our cereal bowl/onto the floor/into each other's pyjamas.

This post missed the most horrifying Canadian milk product: Homo Milk.
You will see Homo Milk in any food store in Canada, I kid you not. I believe the name is actually short for homogenized, but that doesn't make it any less disturbing to visitors.
Uh -- Yikes
Experts say the technical challenges are enormous. Much of the lifting will be carried out by helicopters, which will also be used as commuter transport for builders. The tower will have to be capable of withstanding a wide range of temperatures, with its top baking in the desert sun by day but dropping to well below freezing at night.
To resist the strong winds prevalent in the area and stop it swaying, giving its occupants a form of high-rise seasickness, it will be fitted with a giant computer-operated damper.
Two "mini-towers" - both taller than Canary Wharf - will be built on either side of the main tower.
Linked to it by elevated walkways, they will anchor it and act as stabilisers. More here:
Got a whiff? Take a sniff

The Social Network Integrated Friend Finder (Sniff) is a new application, accessed via Facebook or mobile phone, which could bring an end to frantic “Where r u?” text messages.
The service, popular in Scandinavia, promises to provide users with a detailed map of their friends’ locations, any time and anywhere. However, there are fears that Sniff could be abused by employers to remove the last vestiges of privacy from staff. More here.

The Pentagon announced TODAY the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF)

These boys will be dropped off in Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:
1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.
The Pentagon expects the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday.
