I love it - Go Libertarians

Complete idiots are in charge

From Nothing to do with Arbroath:

Strange case of lights left on in empty school

Electric lights are being left on inside the old Dalkeith High School building — to protect vandals and intruders from hurting themselves.

The council revealed: "The old Dalkeith High School site has been under offer to Wimpey Homes since November 2004 and responsibility for the security of the listed building currently lies with the council."

"A risk assessment was carried out on the property at the time of closure."

"This resulted in the boarding up of all ground floor windows to prevent access, retention of an operating burglar alarm and the carrying out of daily inspections of the property."

"Some lights — including some on timers — are left on during the winter months to protect potential intruders from fall hazards. Midlothian Council as owners of the property have an obligation to do this under duty of care."

Uh -- I hate to tell you peeps -- you have total morons in charge there. Relieve them from their duties. Any judge who finds in favor of a fucking trespassing criminal needs to be replaced as fast as the system will allow and then prosecuted for aiding criminals.

Lousy, no good, gingers

From Nothing to do with Arbroath:

Red-headed family forced to move after 'ginger' hate campaign

A family is being forced out of its home by a gang of thugs because of their red hair. Kevin and Barbara Chapman say they and their four young children have already moved twice to avoid the taunts but at each address have been subjected to attacks.

Their windows have been smashed, the walls daubed with graffiti and their children physically assaulted in the street by other youths. In the latest incident the family returned to their third home in Newcastle upon Tyne to find the words "gingers are gay" painted on the outside of the property.

Even as the family, all of whom have red hair, discussed a move with social workers, their windows were smashed. They are now waiting for the city council to find them yet another home.

Faxed my senator again

Only faxed the idiot that keeps voting FOR amnesty. I'm not sure how he voted this morning ... haven't been able to find out yet ... but he got the fax anyway ... you know ... to remind his DUMBASS.

Here's the fax (sans the personal info):

Sen. Richard Burr
U.S. Senate
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Senator Burr,

Please vote NO on cloture on Senate bill 1348.

The amnesty provisions of S. 1348 alone would triple the workload of the corrupt, mismanaged, and already-overwhelmed U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. History has made it clear that USCIS is not capable of handling mass legalization programs. The INS had a backlog of 12,000 cases prior to the 245(i) amnesty in 1994. By 2003, the backlog had grown to six million.

The pressure to process millions of amnestied illegal aliens led the INS to take shortcuts that led to widespread fraud, abuse and national security breaches. For example, Mahmud Abouhalima, convicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing case, and Fares Khallafalla, convicted of attempting to blow up several other New York City landmarks in 1993, were both granted green cards despite the false information they provided on their applications.

More recently, USCIS unkowingly employed an Iraqi foreign intelligence agent who approved 180 asylum applications before he walked off the job during an assignment to the Defense Department in Baghdad. USCIS has no ability to go back and review the 180 cases to see who he let into the country. This case, and that of Robert Schofield, who took more than \$8.1 million in bribes in exchange for green cards and citizenship, are products of a system that is geared towards "customer service" (i.e., processing as many applications as possible) and disregarding national security interests.

I hope you will consider the danger of tripling the USCIS' workload and vote "no" on S. 1348.

IDIOT SENATORS let criminals in

So -- in this whole illegal immigration/amnesty debacle, one senator suggests barring criminals from getting in.

The amendment was soundly rejected.

The Senate voted 51-46 to reject a proposal by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, to bar criminals - including those ordered by judges to be deported - from gaining legal status. Democrats siphoned support from Cornyn's proposal by winning adoption, 66-32, of a rival version that would bar a more limited set of criminals, including certain gang members and sex offenders, from gaining legalization.
-------------
Right -- cuz we don't want to bar ALL criminals -- RIGHT, JACKASSES?

The good news? As of Thursday morning, it looks like amnesty is having a tougher time passing than I thought. Fretteth not, good people ... the Klown has full confidence in these jackasses ... they'll do the wrong thing ... it just might take them them a little longer.

Good lord, we have to get rid of the current crop of pinheads running the government.

But, But -- I'm ANTI-GANG/GUN - D'OH

From Drudge:
FEDERAL ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS AGENTS knocked first, then entered the Downey home of purported anti-gang activist Hector Marroquin on Wednesday, arresting him for selling silencers and weapons — including three assault rifles and a machine gun — to an undercover ATF agent.

The gun sales, some of which Marroquin, the founder of the gang-intervention group No Guns, transacted at his bar in the city of Cudahy, were captured on videotape and audiotape, said police officers present at his arrest.

Inside the house, the 51-year-old veteran of the 18th Street Gang surrendered as his daughter’s boyfriend, David Jimenez, a parolee at large, jumped out a window, tossed a gun into the backyard pool and climbed on the roof, authorities said. Officials said ATF agents then confronted him, he climbed back inside and was arrested and charged as a felon in possession of a gun.

LMAO - NASA chief gets spanked

From Drudge:

Excerpts:
LOS ANGELES - The head of NASA told scientists and engineers that he regrets airing his personal views about global warming during a recent radio interview, according to a video of the meeting obtained by The Associated Press.

NASA administrator Michael Griffin said in the closed-door meeting Monday at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena that “unfortunately, this is an issue which has become far more political than technical, and it would have been well for me to have stayed out of it.”

Griffin made headlines last week when he told a National Public Radio interviewer he wasn’t sure global warming was a problem.

“I have no doubt that ... a trend of global warming exists,” Griffin said on NPR. “I am not sure that it is fair to say that it is a problem we must wrestle with.”

More here:
--------------------------
Poor old Griffin -- he didna realize that telling the truth would get you in so much trouble. Anyway -- he's doomed -- the lefties will have his job soon ... and the next "head of NASA" will not hesitate to tell you that global warming is a HUGE problem -- caused by man.

Gingrich would be interesting

If this guy runs for President, prepare yourself for a paradigm shift. So far -- out of the possibles -- the Klown likes Gingrich and Thompson.
--------------------------

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gives himself 4-to-1 odds against running for president, an assessment that conflicts with his recent pronouncements about seeking the Republican nomination.

Last month, Gingrich said "it is a great possibility" that he would pursue the presidency. But he told The Associated Press this week he would give it "4-to-1 odds" against, saying he enjoys being a pundit and book author.

Gingrich outlined his decision-making process to the AP: After holding national Internet-based workshops on Sept. 27 and 29, he will decide whether to form an exploratory committee on Sept. 30. If he does form a committee, he will decide whether to run by Nov. 6, about one year from Election Day 2008.

He said he will talk about his decision process Friday in a speech to the conservative American Enterprise Institute, where Gingrich is a senior fellow.

Gingrich said his speech is about his vision of the next governing majority. In an interview Sunday with Fox News, he said, "It is not pro- or anti-Bush. It is beyond the current presidency."

"And it argues that in order for us to be effective, in order for us to apply the World War II standard of effectiveness, we have to have very relentless, dramatic change in American government," he said.

He added: "I'm simply suggesting we need to have some very bold proposals for fundamental change, and so far, I don't see much of that."

Mohammed = Explosions

From Drudge:

Mohammed likely to top British boys' names list by year-end

Mohammed will likely become the most popular name for baby boys in Britain by the end of the year, The Times reported on Wednesday, citing government data.

Though official records from the Office for National Statistics list the spelling Mohammed 23rd in its yearly analysis of the top 3,000 names given to children, when all the different spellings of the name are taken into account, it ranks second, only behind Jack, according to The Times.

There are various different spellings of the name because when it is transliterated into English from Arabic, families spell it as closely to their own pronunciations as possible.

In total, 5,991 baby boys were given some version of the name Mohammed, with 6,928 baby boys named Jack.

Thomas was third with 5,921 names, with Joshua and Oliver rounding out the top five.

According to The Times, if the growth of the name Mohammed continues -- it rose by 12 percent last year -- the name will take the top spot by the end of this year.

The Klown adds - Have you ever noticed ... the more "Mohammeds" a country has, the more explosions and beheadings they have?

Way to go with the "loose" immigration policies, jackasses. You're getting what you deserve. All countries with loose immigration policies and "liberal" jackasses for politicians will get what they deserve.

Harry Reid = Dumbest fuck alive

From Michelle Malkin:

The concept of American citizenship is dead. Sen. Harry Reid drove the final nail in the coffin with his floor statement yesterday, in which he referred to the 12 million illegal aliens currently in the U.S. as "12 million undocumented Americans." I've heard a lot of stupid euphemisms for illegal aliens, but that one takes the cake.
Watch the video, currently featured front and center on Reid's website.
------------------
Hey Harry -- way to look out for America. "Undocumented Americans" -- LMAO. Holy smoke -- what a pinhead. Seriously now -- WTF is wrong with Democrats? For that matter, what is wrong with Republicans? Bunch of jackasses.

Another retired general criticizes Bush

From The Onion:

Excerpts:
WASHINGTON, DC—Breaking a 211-year media silence, retired Army Gen. George Washington appeared on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday to speak out against many aspects of the way the Iraq war has been waged.

Washington, whose appearance marked the first time the military leader and statesman had spoken publicly since his 1796 farewell address in Philadelphia, is the latest in a string of retired generals stepping forward to criticize the Iraq war.

Conservative pundits moved quickly to discredit the decorated general.
"I don't care who you are—or if you cannot tell a lie—it's un-American to question the president in a time of war," Sean Hannity said on his radio program Monday. "Plus, I find it very interesting that a man who owned slaves and sold hemp thinks he's entitled to give our Commander in Chief lessons on how to run a war."

NBC's "Perverted" Justice?

Axed "Dateline" producer slams popular "Predator" series as unethical

Excerpts:
MAY 29--In a scathing broadside at NBC's popular "To Catch a Predator" series, a former producer charges that she was canned last year after complaining that the show violated "numerous journalistic ethical standards" and many of the network's own "policies and guidelines."

In some instances, Bartel claims, sting targets are "led into additional acts of humiliation (such as being encouraged to remove their clothes) in order to enhance the comedic effect of the public exposure of these persons."

She also charges that NBC has unethically covered up the fact that law enforcement officials have acted improperly while working in conjunction with the "To Catch a Predator" crew, such as "goofing off by waving rubber chickens in the faces of sting targets while forcing them to the ground and handcuffing them."

(Klown note: LMAO)

Bartel says that when she "raised concerns" about controversial comments made by Perverted Justice's founder, David Corvo, executive producer of the newsmagazine "Dateline," responded, "We all know they're nuts."

This judge is a Beatles fan

From The Smoking Gun:

I Am The Jurist, Goo Goo G'Joob
Montana judge's sentencing memo cites John, Paul, George, and Ringo

JUNE 1--Before his sentencing earlier this year on a felony burglary conviction, Andrew McCormack filled out a form which asked for a "recommendation as to what you think the Court should do in this case."

The Montana man, 20, wrote, "Like the Beetles say, 'Let It Be.'"

Well, that response did not sit well with Gregory Todd, a 56-year-old District Court judge (and Fab Four fan). In a sentencing memorandum--a copy of which you'll find below--Todd first corrected McCormack's misspelling and then schooled the young defendant on the band's discography.

Chinese communists no likey free speechy

From Drudge:

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A young clerk with no knowledge of the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown allowed a tribute to victims slip into the classified ads page of a newspaper in southwest China, a Hong Kong daily reported on Wednesday.

The tiny ad in the lower right corner of page 14 of the Chengdu Evening News on Monday night, read: "Paying tribute to the strong(-willed) mothers of June 4 victims".

An investigation was launched by Chinese authorities to find out how the advertisement slipped its way past censors.

Public discussion of the massacre is still taboo in Beijing and the government has rejected calls to overturn the verdict that the student-led demonstrations were "counter-revolutionary", or subversive. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, were killed when the army crushed the pro-democracy protests on June 4, 1989.

Idiots still don't get the big mystery

From Drudge:

Retired anchor Shaw laments effects of Fox on his beloved CNN

Asked what he now thinks of CNN, Shaw told WTTW-Channel 11's John Callaway: "I try not to. I'm very, very disappointed with the way the news management at my favorite network has gone. CNN has fine women and men working there. Lou Dobbs, one of the leaders there.

"Unfortunately, Fox News is the ratings leader . . . on the cable side of the business, and what Fox puts on the air is not news."

What Fox does, he said, is "commentary, personal analysis."

Calling himself "very straitlaced [and] very old-fashioned," Shaw said: "When anchors are reporting the news, they should report the news and allow the viewers at home to decide what they think about issues.

"I don't want to hear an anchor's personal opinion about anything. Just report the news.

And once again the Klown is amazed at the pure, unadulterated ignorance of these lefties. Hey ... Bernard ... the reason Fox kicks the everloving shit out of the other news networks is because .... ready? .... PEOPLE ARE SICK OF YOUR BIAS!!!!!! It's that simple. I love how you don't get it thru your head though. Seriously -- if you peeps were any dumber you'd have to wear helmets.

Of course -- you're safe sticking with the status quo -- 50% of Americans are oblivious -- they'll continue lapping up your drool.

Yay ethanol -- D'OH

No doubt about it, if there were a Miss Energy Pageant, Miss Ethanol would win hands down. Everyone loves ethanol.

"Ramp up the availability of ethanol," says Hillary Clinton.

"Ethanol makes a lot of sense," says John McCain.

"The economics of ethanol make more and more sense," says Mitt Romney.

"We've got to get serious about ethanol," says Rudolph Giuliani.

And the media love ethanol. "60 Minutes" called it "the solution."

(Note from the Klown -- "60-minutes?? -- as soon as those jackasses agreed, I knew something was wrong. I knew my wallet was in trouble -- those commies at 60-minutes are never on the right side of anything.")

Clinton, Romney, Barack Obama and John Edwards not only believe ethanol is the elixir that will give us cheap energy, end our dependence on Middle East oil sheiks, and reverse global warming, they also want you and me -- as taxpayers -- to subsidize it.

When everyone in politics jumps on a bandwagon like ethanol, I start to wonder if there's something wrong with it. And there is. Except for that fact that ethanol comes from corn, nothing you're told about it is true. As the Cato Institute's energy expert Jerry Taylor said on a recent "Myths" edition of "20/20," the case for ethanol is based on a baker's dozen myths.

A simple question first. If ethanol's so good, why does it need government subsidies? Shouldn't producers be eager to make it, knowing that thrilled consumers will reward them with profits?

But consumers won't reward them, because without subsidies, ethanol would cost much more than gasoline.
