Gotta love Ann Coulter -- usually

This week, congressional Democrats vowed to investigate Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' firing of himself. Gonzales has said he was not involved in the discussions about his firing and that it was "performance-based," but he couldn't recall the specifics.

Right-wingers like me never trusted Gonzales. But watching Hillary Rodham Clinton literally applaud the announcement of Gonzales' resignation on Monday was more than any human being should have to bear. Liberals' hysteria about Gonzales was surpassed only by their hysteria about his predecessor, John Ashcroft. (Also their hysteria about Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Libby, Rice, Barney and so on. They're very excitable, these Democrats.)

Liberals want to return the office to the glory years of Attorney General Janet Reno!

Landscaper awaits career-defining lawn

From The Onion:

COLUMBIA, MO—Landscaper Kevin Larson announced Monday that, while he has enjoyed working as part of ensemble crews on smaller, low-budget projects, he is looking for a breakout lawn that will place him in the top tier of Columbia's lawn-care industry.

Larson broke into the business six years ago with a job as a lawn mower at a small company called Brickman Landscaping, where he worked alongside such landscaping legends as Ramon and Charlie on the neighborhood-acclaimed Holden estate. Since then, he has started his own business, KM Larson Greenery, hoping to attract the client who will let him experiment with his craft.

"I feel that six years of mowing lawns and laying mulch have prepared me for something bigger," Larson said. "When people drive by one of my lawns, I want it to make them think. I want to redefine what a lawn can mean to people."

According to Larson, the perfect lawn is one that has "a lot to work with" and "tons of exposure—ideally at the corner of a busy intersection, where drivers will have the time to stop and really appreciate the work and vision that went into the lawn." Larson added that the client has to be willing to trust the landscaper, and "really let him test the limits of the profession."

"Just once, I would like to have a client who isn't afraid to push the boundaries," Larson said. "But it's always the same: drop in some fertilizer spikes, trim the shrubs, change the seasonal bulbs, and we're done. I have so much more to offer. I have big plans—and the cedar chips to match."

Larson said success stories in the landscaping industry are not without precedent.

"Look at Bob from Bob's Landscaping," Larson said. "He was trimming hedges before the Whitman family noticed him and gave him his big break—the contract for their two-acre yard on Pine Oaks Lane. Now he gets to work on any lawn he wants, and he can get away with doing just one really big one a year."

"I need my own 2338 Pine Oaks Lane," Larson added.

Although many landscapers "sacrifice their artistic integrity for material gain," Larson said he is not interested in becoming a fixture on the covers of magazines like House & Garden, but rather "working on a lawn [he] believes in."

"I've turned down plenty of big-budget offers—like the Lakeside Mall job—because the project was being limited by people at the top who have a very narrow idea of what a landscaper can really do," Larson said. "All I want is to get my breakthrough lawn, a lawn I can put my own personality into and really make my own, maybe by—and this is just one idea—putting little white rocks around the trees."

Larson, who has received callbacks from many of his clients asking him to return for similar projects, said he is not interested in being pigeonholed into one specific type of lawn.

"I don't want to become known as the guy who only does octagonal-brick garden paths," Larson said. "I want to try different things—granite slabs, petunia arrangements, shrubs... I just need to find that one lawn that lets me be me."

He added: "I want people to start looking at different lawns in the neighborhood and saying, 'You know, this lawn would be perfect for Kevin Larson.'"

"Naive kids" come close to killing peeps

From Little Green Footballs:

Remember these guys? Have you heard anything further on the liberal-ass media? Didn't think so -- and you won't -- so Klown to the rescue.

Those two Egyptian students at the University of South Florida who were caught with pipe bombs near a South Carolina Navy base have been indicted, and one of them turns out to have a history of involvement in terrorism.

-------------------
Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, an engineering graduate student and teaching assistant at the Tampa-based university, faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.

According to officials familiar with the case, Mohamed has been arrested previously in Egypt on terrorism-related charges. He is said to have produced an Internet video showing how to build a remote-controlled car bomb.

Mohamed and Youssef Samir Megahed, 21, also an engineering student, were stopped for speeding Aug. 4 in Goose Creek, S.C., where they have been held on state charges. Police found pipe bombs in their car near a Navy base in South Carolina where enemy combatants have been held. They have been held in a South Carolina jail while the FBI continued to investigate whether there was a terrorism link.
----------------

It should be noted that after their arrest, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) immediately jumped out and defended these two, saying they were just “naïve kids” and the pipe bombs were nothing but “fireworks.”

An Islamic community leader from Tampa, Fla., who’s been in touch with the families of the two detained college students, told The Post and Courier that Megahed and Mohamed are not troublemakers and that they were simply on a weekend trip to North Carolina.

Ahmed Bedier, executive director of the Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights organization for Muslims, said family members have told him they think the materials were leftover fireworks Megahed kept in his trunk since July 4.
Both of them are really naïve kids,” Bedier said.
-------------------
LMAO -- CAIR says they were just "in the wrong place at the wrong time" ... you got THAT right, Mohamed ... or whatever the fuck your name is.

Yes -- there's nothing to see here (Says CAIR) -- just a couple of naive ... BOOM -- KA-BOOM.

Oh -- I almost (NOT) forgot to mention this -- of course, so does all the liberal media:

Federal prosecutors have named three prominent Islamic organizations in America as participants in an alleged criminal conspiracy to support a Palestinian Arab terrorist group, Hamas.

Prosecutors applied the label of "unindicted co-conspirator" to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, and the North American Islamic Trust in connection with a trial planned in Texas next month for five officials of a defunct charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.

Did you know that? -- You do now.

London editor prays for nuclear attack on Israel

The editor of an Arabic daily newspaper published in London said in an interview on Lebanese television that he would dance in Trafalgar Square if Iranian missiles hit Israel.

Talking about Iran's nuclear capability on ANB Lebanese television on June 27, Abd Al-Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, said, "If the Iranian missiles strike Israel, by Allah, I will go to Trafalgar Square and dance with delight."

Overwhelming media bias is "Fair"

From Newsbusters:
NewsBusters and the MRC's CyberAlert regularly criticize Cafferty for his left-wing rants and attacks on conservatives, but we can't complain about his straight-forward summary Thursday night of the MRC's study:

“The network morning news shows have given a lot more air time to the Democratic presidential candidates than to the Republican ones. That's according to a conservative media watchdog outfit called the Media Research Center.”

Reading replies later in the hour, Cafferty included one which asserted “the media are overwhelmingly biased in favor of the Democrats. 90 percent of the media voted for Kerry.”

But Cafferty couldn't resist ending with this one: “All are being fair except for the F-word network!”

Huh? 90% of the media voted for Kerry? Giving a lot more air time to Democraps?

And his take is "All are being fair except the Fox news channel?" And he calls it the "F-Word network? Yes -- all are being fair -- you JACKASS!!

Alec Baldwin Foolishly Claims Larry Craig Voted to ‘Censor’ Barney Frank

By Noel Sheppard September 1, 2007 - 21:00 ET

If you needed any more evidence as to how little actor Alec Baldwin actually knows about politics, it was provided Saturday evening in the second sentence of his article at the Huffington Post (emphasis added):

"Even though [then Rep. Larry] Craig voted to censor Barney Frank for Frank's tryst with a male prostitute."

To begin with, Alec, the term is censure.

Adding insult to injury, a vote on censuring Frank never happened, for as reported by the New York Times on July 20, 1990 (emphasis added):

Liberal Judge Slugs America in Gut

From Drudge:

Judge halts illegal immigrant notices

SAN FRANCISCO - The Social Security Administration cannot start sending out letters to employers next week containing notification of more serious penalties for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Ruling on a lawsuit by the nation's largest federation of labor unions against the U.S. government, U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting the so-called "no-match" letters from going out as planned starting Tuesday.

The AFL-CIO lawsuit, filed this week, claims that new Department of Homeland Security rules outlined in accompanying letters threaten to violate workers' rights and unfairly burden employers. Chesney said the court needs "breathing room" before making any decision on the legality of new penalties aimed at cracking down on the hiring of illegal immigrants.

She set the next hearing on the matter for Oct. 1.

The Social Security Administration has sent out "no-match" letters for more than two decades warning employers of discrepancies in the information the government has on their workers. Employers often brushed aside the letters, and the small fines that sometimes were incurred, as a cost of doing business.

But this year, those letters will be accompanied by notices from the Department of Homeland Security outlining strict new requirements for employers to resolve those discrepancies within 90 days or face fines or criminal prosecution, if they're deemed to have knowingly hired illegal immigrants.

Well -- what to say? .... Here are some things that spring to mind:
1 - The found a liberal judge in San Francisco? -- What a shock.
2 - Why does it seem like the libs always try to hurt America?
3 - What the hell is "Big Labor" doing (AFL-CIO Union filed the suit.) Why are they trying to protect illegal immigrants, drive wages down, take jobs from Americans, and hurt America? -- Oh -- nevermind -- that's what they always do.
4 - The "judge" is afraid that "legal workers might be inadvertantly harmed ... "

Hey JUDGE -- it says the punishment will only come if it can be proved they KNOWINGLY hired an illegal. That means, they can't "INADVERTANTLY" hurt real Amercians if, somehow, their SSN's don't match. SHEESH -- What a dipshit. In addition, nobody has any interest whatsoever in punishing employers who are making an effort -- even if they make mistakes -- AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT.

You fucking libs are like a cancer inside America. You're an internal enemy and Dr. Klown is searching for a treatment.

WTF is the matter with peeps

From The Onion:

At one time, the young couple considered the butterfly fuck-swing to be their most precious possession. In recent years, however, it has been eclipsed in esteem by Nathan's leather briefcase and Sofia's emerald earrings.

"The wife and I sure had some crazy times on that thing before we had the baby," said Nathan Moscone, 37, motioning towards the adult toy, upon which he had just hung his suit jacket. "But it seems like forever since I turned her upside down in that thing and dripped hot wax onto her vulva. Maybe we can give it another go after we finish the deck. That's taking up all my spare time at the moment."

Holy sharp stick, Batman

From Neatorama:

Educate yourself about Vlad the Impaler, courtesy of the Klown.

This guy was pretty much as bad as it gets. Most famous, of course, was his penchant for having people impaled - skewered alive through the anus or vagina on giant wooden spikes, to be slowly dragged down by their own weight. In fact, he liked the practice so much he once impaled 30,000 people at one time, for violations of some trade law or other (those of higher social standing got longer spikes). All told, good old Vlad is said to have impaled hundreds of thousands of people. And while his nickname Vlad the Impaler or, in Romanian, Vlad Tepes ("Vlad the Spike") only came about after death, his behavior certainly could have earned him lots of other colorful monikers.

Vlad the Literalist: When Turkish ambassadors said their custom prevented them from removing their hats in his presence, he had their hats nailed to their heads. Now THAT cracks me up.

Vlad the Utopian: As ruler of Wallachia, Vlad wanted his realm to be a model of order and productivity and tried several innovative tactics to achieve this. He once had all the poor and sick invited to a great banquet. Like a good host, he fed ‘em, got ‘em drunk, then burned the hall with them all inside. The result: no more poor and sick people. To demonstrate his kingdom’s absence of crime, he placed a golden chalice in the middle of a busy square in Tirgoviste and left it overnight. Not surprisingly, no one touched it, knowing what the penalty for thievery was under Vlad’s rule (hint: it probably involved a tall spike).

Vlad the Daddy’s Boy: As a boy, Vlad’s father, Vlad Dracul ("Vlad the Dragon"), traded him to the Turks as a peace offering. That obviously tweaked the kid a bit. Upon his return, Vlad (called Dracula, or "the Little Dragon") invited his father’s murderers, the boyars (Romanian nobility) to an Easter dinner. He arrested them all, sending the healthy ones into slavery to build him a palace (which many of them did naked). The rest he had impaled.

More here: One commenter says Vlad was abducted by the Turks -- not given to them by his dad.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Embattled Republican Sen. Larry Craig will announce his resignation from the Senate Saturday, a GOP source in Idaho said Friday.

I guess there's a lot of harumphing going on in congress these days -- you know -- cuz they CANNOT ABIDE behavior of this type --- harumph -- harumph -- HARUMPH.

"Hey -- we didn't get a harumph out of you -- does that mean you abide this behaviour -- WELL -- DOES IT -- YOU'RE STARTING TO LOOK LIKE A WITCH TO ME!!

Yep -- they can get this Republican for his heinous crime of wanting to floozy it out in an airport bathroom -- yet -- they can't get the Democrap, William Jefferson for accepting bribes & having $90,000 cash in his freezer.

What a joke. WAY TO GO, JACKASSES!!

Duke's highly ranked lacrosse team was initially vilified, as Nifong - in his first political campaign for district attorney - told voters he wouldn't allow Durham to become known for "a bunch of lacrosse players from Duke raping a black girl." He won indictments against the three players, but it soon became clear Nifong's evidence was pitifully weak.

The North Carolina State Bar disciplinary committee later concluded Nifong manipulated the case to boost his chances at the ballot box, adding he continued to pursue it even when it was apparent the defendants were innocent.

"Do I feel sorry for him? I feel sorry for his family," said defense attorney Joseph Cheshire, who represented Evans. "I think what he did was willful and intentional and damaged seriously this state and the lives of these boys and their families. I don't feel sorry for Mike Nifong. Sorry if that sounds cruel, but I don't."

Superior Court Judge W. Osmond Smith III could have sentenced Nifong, who had already been stripped of his law license and had resigned from office, to as many as 30 days in jail and given him a fine as high as $500. Instead, he opted for a largely symbolic punishment (one day in jail) - the public humiliation of sending a prosecutor to jail - that he said would help protect the integrity of the justice system. (Oh spare me) More here:

Hmmmm -- The Klown is not satisfied. Having been involved in SEVERAL litigations, the Klown knows what a huge pain-in-the-ass it is. Having to go to attorney's offices -- answering interrogatories -- giving depositions under oath -- then doing it over and over again for the same case -- the threat of "knew or should have known" hanging over your head all the time -- piece of shit lawyers (Mike Nifong) trying to trip you up on any little thing -- worrying for months and months -- not sleeping well -- I COULD GO ON AND ON.

The point is -- being involved in a lawsuit is an all-encompassing, all-consuming, activity that continues for months and months and sometimes years and years (in this case -- I think it was about a year.) GET IT? YOUR LIFE IS PUT ON HOLD UNTIL THE SUIT IS FINISHED.

And then they give the guy one fucking day in jail?? One fucking day? Sorry folks -- our justice system is broken and needs serious reform.

Oh -- but KLown -- he lost his law license!!

LOST HIS LAW LICENSE?? Well the Klown might be satisfied with that if the law license was made out of sharp-edged diamonds about the size of a pool ball -- and then they rammed it up his ass twice a day for a year -- cuz that's about what the Klown feels during the time a lawsuit is going on.

Nifong? If I were in charge, I'd beat the teeth out of your head with a hammer, make a necklace out of them and put it on the pelt I made out of the top layer of your skin -- then I'd hang that over the courthouse to remind the other scumbags what happinks to shysters who continue to railroad citizens, even when they know the citizen is innocent. -- JACKASS.

Yes -- forget about Vlad, The Impaler and fear Klown, The Peltmaker.

Pit Bulls naturally friendly & good-natured

Diane Jessup of LawDogs USA rescues pit bulls from animal shelters and dog- fighting busts nationwide and helps turn them into crime fighters at her Thurston County kennel.

"If a pit bull kills a cat in Kansas, you'll hear about it. A lot of antisocial people own them," she said. Yes -- it's all a setup -- you're being being given bad info.

Pit bulls are unfair victims of negative publicity because some bad owners breed and train them for aggressiveness, Jessup said. Pit bulls are naturally friendly and good natured, she said.

Child has surgery after being bitten by pit bull
By KIM NGUYEN

THE GAZETTE
September 1, 2007 - 1:17AM
A child had surgery at Memorial Hospital after being bitten in the face by the family’s pit bull at their south Colorado Springs home, police said.

The child had a 2-inch cut on the forehead and another 2-inch cut below the eye, said Sgt. Rick Cirka. Police would not give the age or gender of the child.

Officers were called to the home in the 900 block of Conejos Street about 3:45 p.m., where they found the child, the pit bull, two other dogs and a baby sitter who was underage. Police are still trying to determine if the attack was unprovoked.

Cirka said the three dogs were taken to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and the pit bull that attacked the child was euthanized at the request of the owner.
The Humane Society could not be reached for comment.

The child’s father was cited for child abuse for allegedly leaving the young child in the care of an underage baby sitter, Cirka said.

DALLAS — A 6-year-old boy died Friday after he was mauled by his family's pet pit bull, police said.

Scott Warren was inside his house Friday evening with his 13-year-old sibling when the dog attacked, Dallas police spokesman Sgt. Gil Cerda said. Family members told police the 1-year-old dog did not have a history of aggressive behavior.

"When the mother came inside the house, she saw the dog attacking the 6-year-old and tried to restrain the dog," Cerda said. "By that time, a lot of damage had been done."

Warren was taken to a hospital, where he died, Cerda said.

The fatal mauling comes a day before a new state law takes effect in which dog owners whose pets attack and seriously injure someone could face up to 10 years in prison. In a fatal attack, the sentence could increase to up to 20 years.

Cerda said it's too early to say whether anyone will face criminal charges.

Animal control officers removed the dog from the home. Its fate has not been decided, Cerda said.

"In many of these cases, the dog is normally euthanized," Cerda said.
