News BUSTED - VP Ted Nugent

Fucketh NOT, with bees

Amateur beekeeper Jason Striegel asked his friend Chris to take photos of a hive splitting operation. Here's Chris' experience:

But my attitude did a 180 when a bee got stuck between my eyebrow and the eyepiece of my camera and it stung me like crazy. Then another one swooped into my eye and got tangled in my lashes buzzing like crazy. I lost it and shook them off violently..staying calm and moving slow went right out the window.

I sprinted my ass off back to the safety of the house. I'd like to say that was the worst of it. But later, when the queen was found and the hive splitting was a success, the bees weren't done being pissed off.

I was just standing there minding my own business and one mean bastard worker bee flew right directly into my right ear. DEEP! And it started trying to get deeper! I completely lost my shit.

I started dancing all around making all kinds of girly noises. My heart rate was probably 200. The buzzing was unbelievable, it sounded and felt like it was almost into my brain before I finally got a grip on the little shit and yanked him out and threw him. Incredibly I didn't get stung.

My takeaways from the evening: Beehives are awesome. It's hard to find a queen. Don't go near a beehive when it's being split without protection. Having a bee in your ear is about the most terrifying thing that can happen to you.

Republican jackasses grubbing cash

So the Republicans sent me a "survey." On the front is a place where you send them money -- for "survey authorization." Yes -- they want you to send them money before they are interested in anything you have to say.

Well -- I wrote a little note on it and sent it back. In case you can't read my writing, it says:

LMAO - You people aren't conservatives.

You want me to give you money?
For McCain?
After your performance while in
the majority? - Pack sand, idiots.

And that's the way I feel about it. After having to beg one of my GOP senators to oppose amnesty -- after McCain and the gang of 14 stopped the GOP from pulling the plug on the filibustering Dimocrats -- after the idiot Republicans expanded government like nobody's business when they were in the majority -- Now Bush and McCain side with the Democrats on global warming -- I could go on and on -- they make me sick.

There's a joke in here somewhere

This guy is a dissident in Russia -- former chess champion or something. Apparently, someone thinks he's a big dick. Anyway, all the action is over after 42 seconds. Watch the body guard in the red shirt jump at about 20 seconds into the video. In the end, he's the hero. Anyway -- THIS is creative protesting. At the end, the dissident guy says something that cracks everyone up. Anyone speak Russian?

Acceptable Democrat food

Fried shrimp on a bed of jasmine rice and a side of mango salad, all served on a styrofoam plate. Bottled water to wash it all down.

These trendy catering treats are unlikely to appear on the menu at parties sponsored by the Denver 2008 Host Committee during the Democratic National Convention this summer.

Fried foods are forbidden at the committee's 22 or so events, as is liquid served in individual plastic containers. Plates must be reusable, like china, recyclable or compostable. The food should be local, organic or both.

And caterers must provide foods in "at least three of the following five colors: red, green, yellow, blue/purple, and white," garnishes not included, according to a Request for Proposals, or RFP, distributed last week.

The shrimp-and-mango ensemble? All it's got is white, brown and orange, so it may not have the nutritional balance that generally comes from a multihued menu. More here:

Ha ha -- "multihued." But what tells me the Republicans won't be any better. They better hope my mom doesn't show up and tell them to pipe down and eat what's on their plate.

I found a pic of an acceptable lib pizza above. Looks delish, huh? *Sniff* - I'll never be able to look at my plate again without counting the colors -- like a retarded lib.

Police: Woman Tried To Check Pot At Airport

Drug Found In Coffee Cans
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A woman is accused of trying to sneak boxes of marijuana through Sacramento International Airport and on to a jet bound for Georgia, authorities said Tuesday.
Sgt. Tim Curran said the federal Transportation Security Administration found 15 pounds of pot Monday night.
TSA agents boarded a U.S. Airways plane set to depart for Atlanta and arrested 29-year-old Rachael Ann Wilson of Sacramento on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and unlawful transportation of the drug, local station KCRA reported.
Authorities said the pot had an estimated street value of $125,000.
Before boarding her flight, Wilson checked two large cardboard boxes at the U.S. Airways ticket counter, Curran said.
One of the boxes was too big to fit through an X-ray machine, so TSA agents opened it up and found the drug stashed in coffee cans.
Wilson was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
She is scheduled to be arraigned on May 27 in Sacramento Municipal Court
Makes you want a good cup of coffee!!

The White House on Monday sent a scathing letter to NBC News, accusing the news network of “deceptively” editing an interview with President Bush on the issue of appeasement and Iran.

At issue were remarks Bush made in front of Israel's parliament earlier this week.

Specifically, White House counselor Ed Gillespie laments that the network edited the interview in a way that “is clearly intended to give viewers the impression that [Bush] agreed with [correspondent Richard Engel's] characterization of his remarks when he explicitly challenged it.

“This deceitful editing to further a media-manufactured storyline is utterly misleading and irresponsible and I hereby request in the interest of fairness and accuracy that the network air the President’s responses to both initial questions in full on the two programs that used the excerpts,” said Gillespie in the letter to NBC News President Steve Capus.

Gillespie used the opportunity to also inquire whether NBC News still believes that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war. In November 2006, the network decided to label the infighting in the country a “civil war.”

“I noticed that around September of 2007, your network quietly stopped referring to conditions in Iraq as a ‘civil war,’ ” Gillespie wrote. “Is it still NBC News’s carefully deliberated opinion that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war? If not, will the network publicly declare that the civil war has ended, or that it was wrong to declare it in the first place?”

Gillespie also hit NBC News on its reporting on the state of the economy.

“I’m sure you don’t want people to conclude that there is really no distinction between the ‘news’ as reported on NBC and the ‘opinion’ as reported on MSNBC, despite the increasing blurring of those lines,” Gillespie concluded. “I welcome your response to this letter, and hope it is one that reassures your broadcast network’s viewers that blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC don’t hold editorial sway over the NBC network news division.” More here:

Yes -- oh boy -- a letter -- they're prolly repent now, eh? LMAO. When are you idiot conservatives ever going to learn? They'll screw you EVERY chance they get -- and if they don't get one, they'll make it up through editing. Anyway, I'm guessing you'll never learn.

WHAAAAAATTTTT, Mr President? You think we PURPOSELY misrepresented you? Ohhhh, no -- nothing like that -- it was just, what we in the business call "a grabber" -- you know -- to grab attention -- SURE -- don't worry -- just calm down -- buy the way -- you might want to smear some of this lube on your sphincter.

Cracks me up -- threatening them with "reassures your viewers" -- as if their viewers perceive they're being brainwashed. Oh man -- that's a knee slapper. HEY -- YOU CAN'T SAY IT ON TV IF IT ISN'T TRUE, RIGHT, ASSHATS?

European socialism - coming soon to USA

PARIS, May 19 (Reuters) - France is considering a ban on happy hours in bars and on the sale of bottles of vodka and other strong liquor in nightclubs as part of efforts to curb binge drinking among young people, an official said on Monday.

The proposed measures are being discussed with producers and distributors of alcoholic drinks and decisions are expected within weeks, said Etienne Apaire, head of a government body in charge of the fight against addiction to drugs or alcohol.

"What we have seen in recent years is an increase in alcohol consumption among young people, and in particular an increase in the kinds of behaviour that lead to drunkenness," Apaire told Reuters in a telephone interview. More here:

Yes -- punish everyone for the "possible" behavior of a few -- good thinking, comrade. Ban happy hour but it's ok to let the Muslims riot and burn your cars and cities. I'd like to propose a ban on "behavior that leads to socialism/communism." How bout that, Frere jacqueass. Stop stealing people's freedom -- if they commit a crime, punish them, otherwise, pipe down.

I sent this fax to my Senators today

As a veteran, I must say that I am appalled that the Senate would vote to attach an amnesty bill (particularly one of this magnitude) to the Iraq supplemental bill. There are brave men and women dying who need your assistance, but it seems that some Senators would rather legalize illegal farm workers.

There is absolutely no need for any sort of amnesty, and particularly not one for agricultural workers. Farmers, orchardists, and other agribusiness-owners can take advantage of the H-2A program to attain seasonal help. The Senate Appropriations Committee's vote only helps the renegade businessmen who would rather hire illegal workers at the expense of Americans just to make a quick profit.

This vote in favor of amnesty is a vote against our brave men and women fighting in Iraq.

Did you also know that this amnesty bill also contains provisions to allow even more H-2B workers? We have more than enough foreign workers already, especially when one considers the number of unemployed American workers!

Please do your patriotic duty and either have the amnesty and foreign-worker provisions stripped from the Iraq supplemental funding bill or vote the entire bill down. Our brave servicemen and women risking their lives for our freedom deserve better than to be used in this manner.

Sincerely,

The Klown (Real name deleted for obvious reasons)

Dog tricks on the golf course

A man and his friend meet at the club house and decide to play a round of golf together.

The man has a little dog with him and on the first green, when the man holes out a 20 foot putt, the little dog starts to yip and stands up on its hind legs and walks in circles.

The friend is quite amazed at this clever trick and says, "Wow, that dog is really talented! What does he do if you miss a putt?"

"Somersaults," says the man.

"Somersaults?!" says the friend, "That's incredible. How many does he do?"

"Hmmm," says the man. "That depends on how hard I kick him."

Update on amnesty

Dear opponents of amnesty and other rewards for illegal immigration,

You are making a difference. We broke a record for number of faxes ordered yesterday and our sources inside Capitol Hill are reporting an increased awareness of opposition to the AgJOBS amnesty among Congressional offices.

186,568 faxes were ordered yesterday!

23,185 faxes were ordered in one four-hour period!

We have not turned the corner, but if we can keep that sort of pressure on Congress all week, we have a shot at beating back the AgJOBS amnesty for up to 3 million illegal aliens. We are in much the same position as we were in yesterday. Our job right now is to make sure that every Senate office understands that their constituents strongly oppose the AgJOBS amnesty.

I learned when I read this

Before sending Lewis and Clark west, Thomas Jefferson dispatched Meriwether Lewis to Philadelphia to see Dr. Benjamin Rush. The eminent doctor prepared a series of scientific questions for the expedition to answer. Among them, writes Stephen Ambrose: "What Affinity between their [the Indians'] religious Ceremonies & those of the Jews?" Jefferson and Lewis, like many of their day and ours, were fascinated by the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, and thought they might be out there on the Great Plains.

They weren't. They aren't anywhere. Their disappearance into the mist of history since their exile from Israel in 722 B.C. is no mystery. It is the norm, the rule for every ancient people defeated, destroyed, scattered and exiled.

With one exception, a miraculous story of redemption and return, after not a century or two, but 2,000 years. Remarkably, that miracle occurred in our time. This week marks its 60th anniversary: the return and restoration of the remaining two tribes of Israel - Judah and Benjamin, later known as the Jews - to their ancient homeland.

Besides restoring Jewish sovereignty, the establishment of the State of Israel embodied many subsidiary miracles, from the creation of the first Jewish army since Roman times to the only recorded instance of the resurrection of a dead language - Hebrew, now the daily tongue of a vibrant nation of 7 million. As historian Barbara Tuchman once wrote, Israel is "the only nation in the world that is governing itself in the same territory, under the same name, and with the same religion and same language as it did 3,000 years ago."

During its early years, Israel was often spoken of in such romantic terms. Today, such talk is considered naive, anachronistic, even insensitive, nothing more than Zionist myth designed to hide the true story, i.e., the Palestinian narrative of dispossession.

Not so. Palestinian suffering is, of course, real and heart-wrenching, but what the Arab narrative deliberately distorts is the cause of its own tragedy: the folly of its own fanatical leadership - from Haj Amin al-Husseini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem (Nazi collaborator, who spent World War II in Berlin), to Egypt's Gamal Abdel Nasser to Yasser Arafat to Hamas of today - that repeatedly chose war rather than compromise and conciliation.

Palestinian dispossession is a direct result of the Arab rejection, then and now, of a Jewish state of any size on any part of the vast lands the Arabs claim as their exclusive patrimony. That was the cause of the war 60 years ago that, in turn, caused the refugee problem. And it remains the cause of war today.

Jews thrown out of Israel in 722 BC.

Six months before Israel's birth, the UN had decided by a two-thirds majority that the only just solution to the British departure from Palestine would be the establishment of a Jewish state and an Arab state side by side. The undeniable fact remains: The Jews accepted that compromise; the Arabs rejected it.

With a vengeance. On the day the British pulled down their flag, Israel was invaded by Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Transjordan and Iraq - 650,000 Jews against 40 million Arabs.

Israel prevailed, another miracle. But at a very high cost - not just to the Palestinians displaced as a result of a war designed to extinguish Israel at birth, but also to the Israelis, whose war losses were staggering: 6,373 dead.

One percent of the population. In American terms, it would take thirty-five Vietnam memorials to encompass such a monumental loss of life.

You rarely hear about Israel's terrible suffering in that 1948-49 war. You hear only the Palestinian side. Today, in the same vein, you hear that Israeli settlements and checkpoints and occupation are the continuing root causes of terrorism and instability in the region.

But in 1948, there were no "occupied territories." Nor in 1967 when Egypt, Syria and Jordan joined together in a second war of annihilation against Israel.

Look at Gaza today. No Israeli occupation, no settlements, not a single Jew left. The Palestinian response? Unremitting rocket fire killing and maiming Israeli civilians. The declared casus belli of the Palestinian government in Gaza behind these rockets? The very existence of a Jewish state.

Israel's crime is not its policies but its insistence on living. On the day the Arabs - and the Palestinians in particular - make a collective decision to accept the Jewish state, there will be peace, as Israel proved with its treaties with Egypt and Jordan. Until that day, there will be nothing but war. And every "peace process," however cynical or well-meaning, will come to nothing.

Yep -- sounds like the drugs I had

The Other day someone at a store in our town read that a Meth Lab had been found in an old farmhouse. He asked me a rhetorical question, “Why didn’t we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?”.

I replied I had a drug problem when I was young I was drug to church on Sunday. I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and functions and to community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults, I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of a teacher or the preacher, or if I didn’t put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap. I was drug out to pull weeds from the garden. I was drug out to the homes of friends and family to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair household items, chop firewood, and if mother had ever known me to take a single dime as a tip for this kindness she would have drug me back to the woodshed!

Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and if today’s children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place. God bless the parents who “drugged” us!
