The switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time is upon us. It also represents the weekend that Arizonans will proudly announce their residency without your having to ask. Of course, you still won't care and it will 364 long days until they anything about which to brag.
This is a picture of a proud Arizonan the rest of the year:

How 'BOUT those gas prices?
Yes, I sure hope the Democratics keep blocking drilling ... and imposing more regulations on energy companies via the EPA etc -- don't you? Also, they need to keep their boot on the throat of the coal companies and block construction of nuclear power plants. GO DEMOCRATICS!!!
Of course, Obama told us this would happen. Of course, he couldn't actually pass "Cap & Tax" yet but he's implementing it through the EPA with regulation.
Oh, and whenever energy prices go up, EVERYTHING goes up because the cost of transporting goes up. Luckily, that only affects the evil rich ... the poor don't pay energy costs or gasoline.

Dumbass Democratics - magnetically drawn to drum circles
Ha ha -- I couldn't resist posting this cuz it says it all about the diptard liberals in the Wisconsin state capitol building. To them a protest is nothing but a reason to party ... and, if you're a dumbass hippie, what's a party with no drum circle?

Capitol Chaos: Lawmakers Get Death Threats
By Jon Byman
MADISON - The State Department of Justice confirms that it is investigating several death threats against a number of lawmakers in response to the legislature's move to strip employees of many collective bargaining rights.
Among the threats the Justice Department is investigationg is one that was emailed to Republican Senators Wednesday night. Newsradio 620 WTMJ has obtained that email.
The following is the unedited email:
Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die. More here:
Yep, it's gotta be those violent, gun-toting, racist, Tea Partiers, right.
By the way, what's that in the background of that pic? Is that ... is that ... a Soviet Flag? Now, what on earth would a public sector union be indicating by flying a Soviet flag in the capitol building of Wisconsin? Ahhhh, it's prolly a photoshop job done by the Republicans just to make the public sector unions look bad. Those Republicans are full of violence and treachery.

Ronald Reagan 50(!) Years Ago
"Operation Coffee Cup" speech. I heard parts of this on Rush's show today.
My mother, who was an RN, told me never to be a doctor because of her fears of socialized medicine. Good thing I wasn't smart enough for Med school.
It's 10 minutes long, but worth listening to.

The Declaration of Independence - for regular people
When things get so balled up that the people of a country got to cut loose from some other country, and go it on their own hook, without asking no permission from nobody, excepting maybe God Almighty, then they ought to let everybody know why they done it, so that everybody can see they are not trying to put nothing over on nobody.
All we got to say on this proposition is this: first, me and you is as good as anybody else, and maybe a damn sight better; second, nobody ain’t got no right to take away none of our rights; third, every man has got a right to live, to come and go as he pleases, and to have a good time whichever way he likes, so long as he don’t interfere with nobody else. That any government that don’t give a man them rights ain’t worth a damn; also, people ought to choose the kind of government they want themselves, and nobody else ought to have no say in the matter. That whenever any government don’t do this, then the people have got a right to give it the bum’s rush and put in one that will take care of their interests. Of course, that don’t mean having a revolution every day like them South American yellowbellies, or every time some jobholder goes to work and does something he ain’t got no business to do. It is better to stand a little graft, etc., than to have revolutions all the time, like them coons, and any man that wasn’t a anarchist or one of them I.W.W.’s would say the same. But when things get so bad that a man ain’t hardly got no rights at all no more, but you might almost call him a slave, then everybody ought to get together and throw the grafters out, and put in new ones who won’t carry on so high and steal so much, and then watch them. This is the proposition the people of these Colonies is up against, and they have got tired of it, and won’t stand it no more.

Media Headlines For Sheep -- Economic recovery!!!!
The federal government posted its largest monthly deficit in history in February at $223 billion, according to preliminary numbers the Congressional Budget Office released Monday morning.
That figure tops last February’s record of $220.9 billion, and marks the 29th straight month the government has run in the red — a modern record. The last time the federal government posted even a monthly surplus was September 2008, just before the financial collapse. More here:
(CNN) -- U.S. gasoline prices increased nearly 33 cents in two weeks, the second-biggest two-week jump in the history of the gasoline market, according to a new survey of filling stations.
The latest Lundberg Survey of cities in the continental United States was conducted Friday. It showed the national average for a price of self-serve unleaded gasoline at $3.51, an increase of 32.7 cents from the last survey two weeks earlier, survey publisher Trilby Lundberg said. More here:
Yes, if ONLY it weren't for this pesky gas price problem, the economic recovery would be well underway. Wild and unstable gas prices have nothing to do with supply and demand ... no ... it's ALL the fault of Libya ... some podunk slab of desert in Africa. Keep remembering that as Obama keeps blocking drilling and shutting down massive parts of the industry in the gulf.

HA! Burgers Will Kill YOU!
PHOENIX — A 575-pound man who gained a measure of fame as spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill — a Phoenix-area restaurant that unabashedly touts its unhealthy, high-calorie menu — has died.
Restaurant founder Jon Basso told The Arizona Republic that River was more than the larger-than-life caricature he portrayed in promoting the restaurant in Chandler, which includes huge hamburgers, milkshakes and fries cooked in lard on its menu. (Lard will shortly be on the list of illegal substances, like Freon or DDT.)
Basso said River was a creative genius who had been planning to take part in the shooting of a promotional spot called, "Heart Attack Grill: The Musical."
"Cynical people might think this (River's death) is funny," Basso said. "But people who knew him are crying their eyes out. There is a lot of mourning going on around here. You couldn't have found a better person."
Friends of 29-year-old Blair River say he died Tuesday, possibly from contracting pneumonia after a bout with the flu.
The 6-foot-8 River was an Arizona state high school heavyweight wrestling champion in 1999 and played football at Mesa Community College.
Last time I heard, the flu and pneumonia were 100% unrelated to obesity or a rich diet. NOW they will be. Here comes the fast food tax.

Budget cuts
By making sacrificial and proportional cuts in your own personal budget, you can appreciate that budget cutting really cuts to the quick.
The President ordered the cabinet to cut a whopping $100 million from the $3.5 trillion federal budget.
I'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget.
I spend about $4,000 a month on groceries, medicine, bills, etc., and now it's time to get out my budget cutting ax, go line by line through my expenses, and get to work on cutting back.
I'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same percentage ratio as the President did. ie., 1/35,000 of my total budget.
After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $4,000 a month, I'm going to have to cut that number downward by eleven cents! Yep!!! that's my equivalent to what the President did.
Yes, I know that’s a lot and I must somehow get by with $3,999.89, but that is what sacrifice is all about. The President has requested that we get some of our own
“skin in the game” with everyone else.
So we’ll just have to do without some things that are, quite frankly, luxuries that those eleven cents normally buy us..
Guess I'll have to put a little less Vermouth in my Manhattan!!!!!
Hope this helps brighten your day and shows you how hard our government is working to save our money!
Note: "A is A" sent this to me in an email. He must have been too busy to make an actual blog post which, in this case, means he would have had to cut and paste, tsk, the poor guy.
You know what I really like? Every time we start talking about cutting budgets, the first thing Democratics communists do is start threatening police/fire layoffs etc. Yes, they want to punish you for cutting their budgets. They want to teach your dumbass a lesson.
That's right, instead of cutting unnecessary programs and trimming giant, out-of-control programs that are breaking our asses, (i.e. cutting to the bone) they go straight for the bone. They do it every time, watch them. They love to threaten the sheep ... watch out, we're not cutting any of our pasture maintenance fees (they've hired their buddies to maintain the pastures and their buddies contribute to their reelection campaigns) nope, we'll have to layoff the sheepdog!! That's right .... and some of you sheep live in bad parts of the pasture .... capisce?

Heh
A wife asks her husband, a computer programmer; “Could you please go to the store for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6!”
A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, “Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?”
He replied, “They had eggs.”
MODERN DAY GENIUS (gotta be a lib)
Found it at Bits and Pieces:
Oh joy, our colleges have produced another genius
Yes, after listening to this college guy, I've really changed my mind. He's convinced me. He's a "Democratic" one of our intellectual betters.
I've noticed something. These "geniuses" all have one thing in common ... they all want me to do as they say (and they're willing to force me if necessary) and, they all want me to give them my private property (money.) That's the bottom line with all of them. They all have all kinds of arguments and "science-tific facts" but they all end up in the same place ... "Do as we say and give us your money."

Pointing and hollering "WITCH!!!"
So as you know, I often refer to "pointing and hollering 'witch'" to illustrate some point or another. Many years ago, I saw SNL do skits about witches and when the prosecutor, Jim Belushi, presented the evidence against the witch, it struck me that people who are easily led are subject to regarding "evidence" such as this as fact.
Libs are always using this technique and it is always successful (on other libs.) Think about it ... why on Earth would you use this technique unless you actually thought it was productive. If you had a clue about how you really looked, you'd avoid it like the plague.
Anyway, the specific part to which I refer is in this video ... starting at the 2-minute mark and going for about 30 seconds. So, from now on, when I say "pointing and hollering 'witch'" you'll know what's in my mind.

What's this? The communists "restricting" freedom?
BEIJING (AP) - China appears to be rolling back some press freedoms, barring foreign journalists from working near a popular Shanghai park and along a major Beijing shopping street after calls for weekly protests in those spots appeared online.
I have news for you ... a "freedom" isn't a "freedom" if it can be "rolled back" by any individual or group. It is only a privilege they ALLOW and revoke at their whim.
The new restrictions put the popular leisure spots on a par with Tibet as out-of-bounds areas where foreign reporters need special permission to work, and come after journalists were attacked and harassed while working in the areas over the weekend.
Bob Dietz, the Asia coordinator for the Committee to Protect Journalists, said the treatment of journalists in Beijing on Sunday was "the worst aggression against the foreign press we've seen since the Olympics in 2008."
"Such a heavy-handed response discredits the ruling Chinese Communist Party and highlights their fear of popular opposition," Dietz said in a statement. More here:
Ha ha, that's a good one. He says it "discredits" the communist party ... as if the communist party ever had any "credit." Hey, relax, asshat. The government is only doing this to be "fair." And isn't it always best for the government to decide what is fair and what is unfair? Yes, they should make up a doctrine to control the media ... they could call it "The Fairness Doctrine" or "Localization" ... you know ... just catch up with the Democratics in the United States.
