VATICAN CITY (AP) — Two white doves that were released by children standing alongside Pope Francis as a peace gesture have been attacked by other birds.
As tens of thousands of people watched in St. Peter's Square on Sunday, a seagull and a large black crow swept down on the doves right after they were set free from an open window of the Apostolic Palace.
One dove lost some feathers as it broke free from the gull. But the crow pecked repeatedly at the other dove. More (with pics) here:
Yes, the doves were "released." But first they were "captured" ... right? Why do they ALWAYS leave that part out? Quite a mystery, no?
And after the "release" they were pecked unmercifully. Another "mystery" to libs. You see, idiot-libs insist that mother nature's creatures want to commune with us and be "friends."
I think we ought to capture these idiots and then "release" them amongst some hungry bears and let them commune to their heart's content. Same goes for ALL the jackasses who want to "release doves" as part of a wedding or some other gathering of morons. What say you?
