Health care, recession, unemployment, global financial crisis, Iran's secret nuclear site and war games that have the world on edge and now Gen. McChrystal wants 40,000 new troops in Afghanistan or we will definitely lose the war. All these pressing matters will have to be put on the back burner, because an issue of national importance has arisen that only the president of the free world can address; The 2016 Olympics.
This Thursday Obama and his wife will fly to Copenhagen and make their bid to host the Olympics in Chicago, and fly back on Friday afternoon. Chicago would be competing with Rio De Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo.
Why is Barack going to Copenhagen, especially when his wife was already set to go on her own and make this bid, when he has so many pressing issues? Maybe he's realizing that his plans for Socializing the nation is crumbling or maybe he can't handle the job and is looking for other things to do other than leading the nation. Either way this is not why we elect a president, to gallivant around the world like a salesman, he is elected to run a country. I think making a bid for the Olympics should be at the bottom of his list, if on it at all, of things to do. Thank you Obama for finding yet another way to lose the respect of the country.
