So, what did those "scientists" really do?

Found the image over at Moonbattery ... who attributes Zappatrust.

Mark Sheppard, over at The American Thinker has written an article which explains the whole Climategate scandal.

Close followers of the Climategate controversy know that much of the mêlée surrounds an e-mail in which Climate Research Unit (CRU) chief Phil Jones wrote about using “Mike’s Nature Trick” (MNT) to “hide the decline.” And yet, seventeen days and thousands of almost exclusively on-line op-eds into this scandal, it still seems that very few understand exactly which “decline” was being hidden, what “trick” was used to do so, and why Jones’s words have become the slogan for the greatest scientific fraud in history.

Here's a little taste. The graph below shows the temperatures over the last 2,000 years. Does it look like "Global warming" to you? By the way, the MWP to which he refers below is the "Medieval Warming Period" shown on the graph ... and the LIA is the "Little Ice Age" just after the MWP. Bold is mine.

Any questions why Mann and friends work so diligently to “contain” (hide) the MWP?

As you can see, the post-LIA warming that began around 1850 is neither unprecedented nor spectacular. And it's certainly not worth rewiring the economic circuitry of the planet over.

And the CRU/IPCC reconstructions have been counterfeited for the express purpose of hiding that very fact.

After all, the stakes are enormous: perhaps trillions of dollars and unquestionably every American’s personal liberties. Tomorrow, over 20,000 delegates from 193 nations will gather in Copenhagen to craft an agreement which would not only force American power consumption to levels equal to those of about 1910, but would also have us pay reparations for an imaginary “climate debt” we’ve accumulated by building the world’s greatest economy of all time. That debt is based on the amount of CO2 our financial growth has purportedly pumped into the atmosphere, which, according to the conclusions of the IPCC and based largely upon reports from the CRU, has selfishly imperiled the planet by inducing climate change.

I highly recommend reading the entire, rather lengthy, article if you want to really understand what these "scientists" did.

Sarah Palin being funny

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sarah Palin poked fun at herself in a speech to journalists Saturday night, drawing laughter when she announced she "came down from my hotel room and I could see the Russian embassy."

The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate also joked that she had orginally thought of titling her book "How To Look Like a Million Bucks, or Only $150,000" before settling on "Going Rogue." In one of the controversies surrounding her candidacy, the campaign spent about $150,000 on her wardrobe.

Palin was the Republican speaker at the winter dinner of the Gridiron Club, an organization of Washington-based journalists.

Rep Barney Frank, D-Mass., represented the Democrats.

Palin targeted her hosts, Democrats and Sen. John McCain's campaign staff, as well as herself.

If the election had turned out differently, she said, "I could be the one overseeing the signing of bailout checks and vice president Biden could be on the road selling his book, 'Going Rogaine.'" Biden has sparse hair.

The crack about seeing the Russian embassy from her hotel referred to Palin having told an interviewer during last year's campaign that her qualifications for high office included that "you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."

As for her hosts, she said she was glad to be appearing before an elite audience of leading intellectuals, "or as I like to call it, a death panel."

McCain's campaign staff also came in for a barb from the former Alaska governor when she said she is touring the country by bus as she sells her book.

"The view is so much better from inside the bus than under it," she said, referring to the poisonous relations between her and some of the McCain campaign staff. More here:

Um ... yes ... just one time, please. LMAO @ the hammer on "Plugs" Biden -- "Going Rogaine."

Don't you love how the lefties all take solace amongst themselves by hating her. They call her stupid all the time ... I guess they're convincing themselves.

You know what they remind me of? It's the same thing racists do. If they think there might be other racists in their group, one of them will use the word "nigger" ... just to gauge the reaction of those around him. Then, if there are other like-minded people around him, they all start bonding and congratulating each other on their shared hatred. Way to go, genius lefties.

Whew, lucky we have a "safe schools" Czar

Kevin Jenning & Obama

Found this unbelievable stuff at Gateway Pundit: (Excerpts:)

Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings was the founder, and for many years, Executive Director of an organization called the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). GLSEN started essentially as Jennings’ personal project and grew to become the culmination of his life’s work. And he was chosen by President Obama to be the nation’s Safe Schools Czar primarily because he had founded and led GLSEN.

GLSEN’s stated mission is to empower gay youth in the schools and to stop harassment by other students. To that end, GLSEN maintains a recommended reading list of books that it claims “furthers our mission to ensure safe schools for all students.” In other words, these are the books that GLSEN’s directors think all kids should be reading: gay kids should read them to raise their self-esteem, and straight kids should read them in order to become more aware and tolerant and stop bullying gay kids. Through GLSEN’s online ordering system, called “GLSEN BookLink,” featured prominently on their Web site, teachers can buy the books to use as required classroom assignments, or students can buy them to read on their own.

The list is divided into three main categories: books recommended for grades K-6; books recommended for grades 7-12; and books for teachers. (The books on the list span all genres: fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, even poetry.)

Out of curiosity to see exactly what kind of books Kevin Jennings and his organization think American students should be reading in school, our team chose a handful at random from the over 100 titles on GLSEN’s grades 7-12 list, and began reading through.

What we discovered shocked us. We were flabbergasted. Rendered speechless.

To be specific, the books we read were:

Queer 13

Being Different

The Full Spectrum

Revolutionary Voices

Reflections of a Rock Lobster

Passages of Pride

Growing Up Gay/Growing Up Lesbian

The Order of the Poison Oak

In Your Face

Mama’s Boy, Preacher’s Son

Love & Sex: Ten Stories of Truth

Here's some of the content of these books:

(At the age of six, the author frequently performed fellatio on his fellow first-graders in the school restroom, part of a “busy homosexual childhood.”)

My sexual exploits with my neighborhood playmates continued. I lived a busy homosexual childhood, somehow managing to avoid venereal disease through all my toddler years. By first grade I was sexually active with many friends. In fact, a small group of us regularly met in the grammar school lavatory to perform fellatio on one another. A typical week’s schedule would be Aaron and Michael on Monday during lunch; Michael and Johnny on Tuesday after school; Fred and Timmy at noon Wednesday; Aaron and Timmy after school on Thursday. None of us ever got caught, but we never worried about it anyway. We all understood that what we were doing was not to be discussed freely with adults but we viewed it as a fun sort of confidential activity. None of us had any guilty feelings about it; we figured everyone did it. Why shouldn’t they?

Prostitutes get screwed by mayor

Copenhagen Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards to city hotels warning summit guests not to patronize Danish sex workers during the upcoming conference. Now, the prostitutes have struck back, offering free sex to anyone who produces one of the warnings.

Copenhagen's city council in conjunction with Lord Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards out to 160 Copenhagen hotels urging COP15 guests and delegates to 'Be sustainable - don't buy sex'.

"Dear hotel owner, we would like to urge you not to arrange contacts between hotel guests and prostitutes," the approach to hotels says.

Now, Copenhagen prostitutes are up in arms, saying that the council has no business meddling in their affairs. They have now offered free sex to anyone who can produce one of the offending postcards and their COP15 identity card, according to the Web site avisen.dk.

Discrimination

According to the report, the move has been organized by the Sex Workers Interest Group (SIO).

"This is sheer discrimination. Ritt Bjerregaard is abusing her position as Lord Mayor in using her power to prevent us carrying out our perfectly legal job. I don't understand how she can be allowed to contact people in this way," SIO Spokeswoman Susanne Møller tells avisen.dk.

Møller adds that it is reprehensible and unfair that Copenhagen politicians have chosen to use the UN Climate Summit as a platform for a hetz against sex workers.

"But they've done it and we have to defend ourselves," Møller says. From here:

Sarah Palin is so stupid

Here's a standard pic some lefty made. It's their mantra about Sarah.

This is about a guy who posts an "actual sentence" from Sarah Palin's book and the libs go apeshit in the comments about how stupid she is. Great fun. Seriously, don't miss this.

Found it at HotAir:

Hey ... MATTHEWS ... you fucking idiot ... let me tell you a couple of things.

If military personnel show a "coolness" to liberals/democrats/Obama it's probably not because they are more "hawkish." My guess is you'd find that most military personnel aren't "hawks." THEY are the ones who have to leave their families. THEY are the ones who must endure unreal hardships (weather, food, sleep deprivation, you name it.) THEY are the ones who risk being killed or maimed for life. THEY are FAR from "hawks" ... got me? JACKASS?

My guess is their attitude towards liberals/democrats/Obama springs from the fact that liberals look upon the military with disdain ... as "uneducated" (Kerry) ... as "can't get a real job" ... as "war mongers" ... as "THE ENEMY CAMP" ... sound familiar? Libs have never hidden their disdain and contempt for the military. The military knows that liberals aren't grateful for their service ... nor are liberals grateful to be living in America ... in fact, liberals think America is the cause of the world's problems.

And now, I'll speak for myself. I hate you liberal ingrates with a passion. I don't hate you because you're "less hawkish." I hate you because you won't let us fight a "war" even if you send us into harm's way ... you want us to "be careful" and not hurt civilians ... and even if we're careful and still accidentally hurt/kill some civilians, that's not good enough for you ... you want to put us on trial ... you put the importance of that before the importance of our lives. If I have to go to war, I want to get it over with as quickly as possible and come home. That's why the word is "war" and not "namby-pamby prancing around like fairies."

I hate you because you don't value freedom. I hate you because you constantly rip and tear at our constitution and founding ideals. I hate you because you steal my money and squander it with abandon. I hate you because you block oil exploration and force my gas/utility prices through the roof. I hate you because you want to control the guns of law abiding citizens. I hate you because you're trying to steal my liberty away and make me a slave to your Utopian "government." Got me? You dumb libtard!!

Finally, Senator to investigate Climategate

Yes, you heard me correctly, these Climategate people are in HUGE trouble. A United States Senator is getting involved and SOMEBODY is in HUGE trouble. She's going to go after the "criminals." She's ALL OVER IT ... everyone can relax (bold is mine.)

Leaked e-mails allegedly undermining climate change science should be treated as a criminal matter, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said Wednesday afternoon.

Boxer, the top Democrat on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, said that the recently released e-mails, showing scientists allegedly overstating the case for climate change, should be treated as a crime.

"You call it 'Climategate'; I call it 'E-mail-theft-gate,'" she said during a committee meeting. "Whatever it is, the main issue is, Are we facing global warming or are we not? I'm looking at these e-mails, that, even though they were stolen, are now out in the public." More here:

Nope ... looks the the criminals will be protected by the democRAT, Barbara Boxer. Way to go, Senator ... you've really gotten to the heart of the matter. It's not "Climategate," it's "E-mail theft gate."

Geeez, I hope this piece of shit, Boxer, is on her last term. She probably isn't though, since her constituents are brainless idiots.

Oh oh - now NASA is in trouble

The fight over global warming science is about to cross the Atlantic with a U.S. researcher poised to sue NASA, demanding release of the same kind of climate data that has landed a leading British center in hot water over charges it skewed its data.

Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said NASA has refused for two years to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act that would show how the agency has shaped its climate data and would explain why the agency has repeatedly had to correct its data going as far back as the 1930s.

"I assume that what is there is highly damaging," Mr. Horner said. "These guys are quite clearly bound and determined not to reveal their internal discussions about this."

The numbers matter. Under pressure in 2007, NASA recalculated its data and found that 1934, not 1998, was the hottest year in its records for the contiguous 48 states. NASA later changed that data again, and now 1998 and 2006 are tied for first, with 1934 slightly cooler. More here:

See? This is what I love ... jackass "scientists" stealing my money. They say a catastrophe is coming so they need more of my money. When asked to share their data, they refuse. Why? I'm paying for this "research" but I'm not allowed to see their methods or data or internal communications.

Why?
If you were a scientist working on something like this ... and you knew there was a huge problem ... wouldn't you want EVERYONE to see your data/science/etc? I guarantee you wouldn't if you were hiding something and you knew you would lose your funding (cushy government job) if that "something" got out.

These people have perpetrated the biggest fraud of my lifetime. Not only that, they've done it before. Perhaps you'll recall global cooling in the 70's. Yet, the media goes along ... the government goes along ... I mean, WTF? Meanwhile, everyone with two brains cells knows it's horseshit. These people have cost our economy billions upon billions with this stupidity.

Go Sarah

Hey, do you know how many copies of Sarah Palin's book are sold so far? No? You don't? Really? Gee, I wonder why. The Klown shall give you the heads up - bold is mine.

From Yahoo News:

NEW YORK – "Going Rogue" has sold a million copies.

HarperCollins spokeswoman Tina Andreadis said Tuesday that just two weeks after publication, Sarah Palin's memoir has sold 1 million copies. The print run for "Going Rogue" has been increased again, to 2.8 million copies. The original printing was 1.5 million, then moved up to 2.5 million.

Wow, and peeps really haven't started Christmas shopping yet.

Climategate - Following the money

You may be interested in this article by Bret Stephens over at the Wall Street Journal

Here's a taste - bold is mine:

None of these outfits is per se corrupt, in the sense that the monies they get are spent on something other than their intended purposes. But they depend on an inherently corrupting premise, namely that the hypothesis on which their livelihood depends has in fact been proved. Absent that proof, everything they represent—including the thousands of jobs they provide—vanishes. This is what's known as a vested interest, and vested interests are an enemy of sound science.

Which brings us back to the climategate scientists, the keepers of the keys to the global warming cathedral. In one of the more telling disclosures from last week, a computer programmer writes of the CRU's temperature database: "I am very sorry to report that the rest of the databases seems to be in nearly as poor a state as Australia was. . . . Aarrggghhh! There truly is no end in sight. . . . We can have a proper result, but only by including a load of garbage!"

This isn't part of the article but I decided to include one of the "hacked" emails just in case you haven't seen it. It's from the guy in charge of the unit. Bold is mine.

Dear Ray, Mike and Malcolm,
Once Tim's got a diagram here we'll send that either later today or
first thing tomorrow.
I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps
to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) and from
1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual
land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land
N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999
for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with
data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.
Thanks for the comments, Ray.

Cheers
Phil

Tiger Woods - Busted

Wednesday morning, the magazine published what it said was a voice mail provided by Grubbs that she said was left by Woods on Nov. 24, three days before his early morning car crash. In the voicemail, a man, who calls himself "Tiger," asks Grubbs to take her name off her phone.

"My wife went through my phone," the man's voice said. "And, uh, may be calling you.'

The call ends with the man saying: "You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly."

Here's the rest of his apology and "confession."

Rawh Rowh - Poor Tiger - It's SO UNFAIR

Several other women are coming forward claiming they had affairs with Tiger Woods, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

What’s more, one of these women claims to have proof in the form of voice mails from the golfing great. The voice mails are said to be explosive.

RadarOnline.com has not heard the voice mails and verified their authenticity.

But we have confirmed that at least two more women are being linked to Tiger in sexual affairs. One of those women is Jaimee Grubbs and she has come forward to US Weekly. That story will be published Thursday.

RadarOnline.com also exclusively learned that ANOTHER woman has voice mails from Tiger and is in talks with a national outlet to reveal her sexual affair with the golfing great.

Several national media outlets are in contact with other women who say the have had sexual contact with Tiger while he was married. More at Radaronline:

Also, Radaronline is reporting that Tiger told his wife "You've ruined our Thanksgiving ..."

I was a HUGE fan of Tiger when I first saw him play. I was rooting for him to win the Masters in 1997 too. What a great tournament it was ... and what a show Tiger put on. He CREAMED everybody.

Well, at first my take on this whole Tiger Woods thing was "who cares." I happen to think Tiger is a jackass because of what he did to Fuzzy Zoeller in the 1997 Masters tournament.

The winner of the Masters gets to choose the dinner the next year and Fuzzy said something like "tell him not to order fried chicken and collards" etc. The media immediately jumped on this as racist.
Tiger knew better but he left Fuzzy twisting in the wind. One word from him and the media would have dropped it. Instead, Fuzzy lost lucrative endorsements and a kazillion bucks ... for nothing ... and, again, Tiger could have easily stopped it. Instead, he let Fuzzy lose millions.

I sort of wrote it off at the time as Tiger being young and inexperienced but he's never addressed the situation since and that tells me he doesn't give a damn ... or, he's too big of a pussy to stand up and admit the wrong that was done. Well, Tiger, I hope your time has come and I hope you get to see how it feels to lose your reputation (and lots of money) on a false charge. I would see it as sweet, SWEET justice ... ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE NOT REALLY GUILTY ... JACKASS.

As an aside, I began to wonder (a few years ago) if Tiger was doing the steroid bit. He sure looked like he was getting HUGE to me. This guy wondered also and he's got a couple of comparison pics.

These communists / dipshitocrats need to go

Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants could receive health care coverage from their employers under the bills winding their way through Congress, despite President Obama's explicit pledge that illegal immigrants would not benefit.

The House bill mandates, and the Senate bill strongly encourages, businesses to extend health care coverage to all employees. But the bills do not have exemptions to screen out illegal immigrants, who usually obtain jobs by using false identities and are indistinguishable from legal workers.

A rough estimate by the Center for Immigration Studies suggests that the practical effect of the mandates would be that about 1 million illegal immigrants could obtain health insurance coverage through their employers. More at the Washington Times:

Uh, huh. I have some questions. Is it "hundreds of thousands" or is is "1 million?" What happened to the "12 million in the shadows?" Why will only 1 million get coverage and not the whole 12 million? Sounds like this "reporter" is full of shitsky to me.

Also, remember when Obama was addressing congress and said illegals would not be covered and then Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouted out "you lie?" I do. And I recall the media mocking Joe Wilson for it. I wonder why that same media hasn't said "gee, perhaps we were wr ... wr ... WRONG!" I mean, to be fair, it seems they would have something to say here, don't you agree?

Why can the congress solve health care, climate change, cap and trade, etc yet they can't seem to figure out how to stop illegal aliens from getting a job or from getting taxpayer benefits? I suppose it's just too difficult.

Teachers tell the truth re: Global Warming?

Well, with the recent scandal on global warming (aka, Climategate,) I guess everyone is coming to their senses right? The teachers are telling all the kids about the scandal and the White House finally realizes the "scientists" have been cooking the books. Whew. Here's some excerpts from this article, by Andrea Peyser, which illustrates how much impact the recent fraud exposure has had on our institutions.

When did global warming turn into a forced religion?

My daughter came home from school recently with a spring in her step and a song on her lips. With no foreshadowing -- or time to call an exorcist -- out came this chilling refrain:

" . . . You can hear the warning -- GLOBAL WARMING . . . "

By the time her father and I removed our jaws from the floor, we had learned that:

A) All the kids had been coerced into singing this catchy ditty, which we called "The Warming Song," at a concert for parents.

B) Further song lyrics scolded selfish adults (that would be us) for polluting our planet and causing a warming scourge that would, in no short order, kill all the polar bears and threaten the birds and bees.

C) There was no deprogramming session on the menu. And no arguing allowed.

The international "Climategate" scandal is now moving into its third week. And reaction from folks on the scientific and political left -- or is that redundant? -- who treat global warming as a cult in which naysayers must be crushed has been depressing:

Total denial.

The scandal began when someone hacked into the server at the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, England, and uncovered a cache of messages between leading warming gurus. These e-mails revealed guys deeply frustrated by planetary temperatures that, stubbornly, had refused to rise in some time. Were they afraid of losing their scientific juice? Or their funding?

So, as the e-mails prove, the scientists did something about it. They cooked the books to exaggerate global warming.

Of course! How can you scare the bejeezus out of little kids and small animals if you can't make the mercury move a millimeter? Simple. You lie.

But while one rival scientist predicted the shocking revelations would blast a "mushroom cloud" over theories of climate change, that has not come to pass.

The Obama administration's "climate adviser," Carol Browner, totally ignored the smoking e-mails, and attributed the scandal to "a very small group of people who continue to say this isn't a real problem, that we don't need to do anything."

"What am I going to do?" asked Browner. "Side with the couple of naysayers out there, or the 2,500 scientists?" -- who've drunk the Kool-Aid. "I'm sticking with the 2,500 scientists."

Ha ha ... "... a couple of naysayers..." That's what we are ... "naysayers." Get it ... you're in the minority ... never mind what the polls say ... just listen to them. Perhaps they'll get the message next November at the ballot box. Well, they'll never get the message but I really don't care if they do ... I just want them to go home ... utterly and completely defeated.

Oh, and what about the media? Here's their take so far ... "Climategate? What Climategate?"

Hey, here's some fresh info (excerpts) from Frank, over at IMAO:

Those Climategate e-mails are pretty bad for climate science. Here are some of the most incriminating excerpts I’ve found:

“We need volunteers to help strangle baby polar bears so we can leave their corpses out for great photos on the devastation of global warming.”

“Because of the increased scrutiny, we’re going to have to ask you all to stop using Ouija boards to confirm your findings.”

“One of the denialists found out that the data for my conclusive proof of global warming was corrupted because cats like to lay on the temperature sensors. We may need to redefine “peer review” to keep his paper from being published. Also, when in science is it okay to murder?”

“The data seems to suggest that most of the warming comes from some large heat source that floats over the earth daily. What the hell could that be?”

“It ends up one of the glaciers is melting because we left a space heater on it. We need to go fetch it and kill the Eskimos who saw it.”

“So how long until we should say the earth is doomed if people don’t do as we tell them? If we use too short a time, people will think we are already doomed and not do anything, and if we use too long a time they won’t care. I’m going with ten years. That’s worked well for the last twenty years.”

“On second thought, delete all e-mails that reference Al Gore. Let’s pretend we don’t know him.”

“So we all agree we are now so certain about global warming we don’t need to waste time collecting data and can just make the numbers up?”
