remember "NO EARMARKS"
WASHINGTON NEWS
Obama To Sign Bill Despite Earmarks
White House aides indicated that President Obama will sign a $410 billion spending bill, even though it contains thousands of special projects or earmarks. The AP reports the White House "on Sunday downplayed massive deficit spending and President Barack Obama's pledge not to sign legislation laden with billions in earmarks amid Republican criticism that he was recanting on a key campaign promise."
The New York Times reports Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel "said Sunday that President Obama would sign a $410 billion spending bill that includes thousands of pet projects, known as earmarks, despite campaign promises to put an end to the practice." Republican leaders, "meanwhile, accused the president of breaking his promises to change Washington's ways."
Roll Call reports, "Tucked into the 2009 omnibus spending bill that Congress is now deliberating is a $3 million provision that is not identified as an earmark and has no sponsor's name attached, but it appears to be the legacy of Lee Hamilton (D-Ind.), a revered Member who left the House a decade ago." The provision "apparently has appeared in spending bills for so long that it has escaped the new requirements that the sponsors and beneficiaries of earmarks be disclosed, and even the recipients of the money could not explain how the language ended up in this year's spending bill."
Well I am just shocked
Oh oh - Lawyers are getting "standing"
Well, there have been a few of these suits but they've all been dismissed by the courts. The only thing I have to say is why doesn't Obama just release the birth certificate records? I mean, I've had to show my birth certificate before for a lot less important things than being PRESIFUCKINGDENT!
Having said that, I really don't care whether he was born in the US or not. It's not like he speaks with a foreign accent or something. Never the less, the Constitution is the Constitution and if you don't have to comply with it then why have it at all?
Commie rag biting dust
If it can't reduce expenses dramatically within the next few weeks, the Hearst Corp. said it will close or sell the Chronicle, northern California's largest newspaper with a paid weekday circulation of 339,430. More here:
Oh, that's such a shame. And it's ALL the fault of the dreaded internet, right? It has nothing to do with the constant stream of half-truths, misleading stories, and communist propaganda, in your "NEWSpaper." Die off, shithooks. You've contributed greatly to ruining America and I love watching you slowly die.
Honest objective jourrrrnalist sucks a dick
Wanda Draper, director of public affairs for the NBC affiliate, confirmed Tuesday afternoon that technology reporter John Sanders no longer is employed by the station.According to accounts published on the Internet, Sanders admitted inserting a graphic phrase into a video to make it appear that John Gibson of Fox News was denigrating U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
In the faked video, which appeared first on YouTube and later on The Huffington Post, Gibson is shown using the phrase "bright blue scrotum" while referring to Holder. More here:
Yes, and the liberal, commie, rag HUFFington Post had to apologize for reporting this bullshit as "news" because those geniuses thought it was real. Couldn't WAIT, couldja, asshats.
Oh, and goodbye Sanders, you objective jourrrrnalist, you. Speaking of blue scrotums, suck the Klown's big, blue-veined throbber. (Not really, you fucking flame-retardant homo.)
Newspapers get some taxpayer $$
The Duluth News Tribune and the St. Paul Pioneer Press will work with the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communication to help staff adapt to an increasingly Internet-based industry. More here:
This is great. Newspapers grind out the leftist crapaganda day in and day out and they're losing money hand over fist ... going bankrupt left and right ... and they think the problem is "paper" vs "internet." Only one thing to do ... give them some of your money. Pure genius.
Hey ... COMRADES ... the only people that want to hear what you're pushing are the people who are too stupid to spend any time reading. But go push your communist crap on the internet and wonder why THAT didn't work. Don't worry, the Dipshitocrats will give you some more of MY money to waste.
Good teacher teaches good lesson

The teenager was busted last Wednesday at Wauwatosa East High School after she ignored a teacher's demand that she cease texting. The girl, whose name we have redacted from the below Wauwatosa Police Department report, initially denied having a phone when confronted by a school security officer. However, the phone was located after the girl was frisked by a female cop.
The Samsung Cricket phone, the police report noted, was recovered "from the buttocks area" of the teenager. The student was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct, which carried "a bail of $298," and had her phone confiscated. The girl, who was barred from school property for a week, is scheduled for an April 20 court appearance on the misdemeanor rap. You can read the very interesting police report (pages 2 & 3) here, at The Smoking Gun.
Ha ha, that stupid snatch. Can you IMAGINE the look on her face when they arrested her dumbass? I guess she's used to getting her way all the time but ... SURPRISE, TEXT THAT, YOU DUMB FUCKTARD!
I didn't know they could arrest kids for not obeying the teacher but I'm VERY happy to hear it. Let's hope more teachers start "teaching" stuff other than their subjects.
Most annoying liberal on the planet
It's funny ... "we have demands ... we're negotiating ... where are your negotiators?" And one of the cops says "this isn't a negotiation, you're leaving." Libs are not able to understand straight talk like that without an interpreter.
Why do governors turn down stimulus $?
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday. He explained his decision to turn down $100 million in federal stimulus money for his state. They say, "Yes, this will result an increase in taxes on our businesses, thisThe rest here:
will result in a permanent obligation on the state of Louisiana." It would be
like spending $1 to get a dime. Why would we take temporary federal dollars if
we're going to end up having a permanent program?

Rush Limbaugh speech to CPAC
EXCERPT: Have you ever called to complain about whatever they do? They say, yes, sir, yes, sir, three bags full. They hang up and say you're too stupid to know how they're doing what they're doing. You can't get it. You're not sophisticated enough. So that's another business where the customer is always wrong. But, seriously, the people who have achieved great things, most of it is not inherited. Most wealth in this country is the result of entrepreneurial, just plain old hard work. There's no reason to punish it. There's no reason to raise taxes on these people. Barack Obama, the Democrat Party, have one responsibility, and that's to respect the oath they gave to protect, defend and follow the US Constitution. [Applause]
They don't have the right to take money that's not theirs, from the back pockets of producers, and give it to groups like ACORN, which are going to advance the Democrat Party. If anybody but government were doing this, it would be a crime. And many of us think it's bordering on that as it exists now. [Applause]
President Obama is so busy trying to foment and create anger in a created atmosphere of crisis, he is so busy fueling the emotions of class envy that he's forgotten it's not his money that he's spending. [Applause] In fact, the money he's spending is not ours. He's spending wealth that has yet to be created. And that is not sustainable. It will not work. This has been tried around the world. And every time it's been tried, it's a failed disaster. The rest of the speech here:
NOTE: You can read the speech at that link but there are also links to the video(s) if you'd prefer to listen/watch.
Way to go, jackasses
“The mission is lost,” National Aeronautics and Space Administration spokesman Steve Cole said in a telephone interview from the launch site at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. “At this point no one is exactly sure what the cause is.”
The NASA satellite was to orbit 438 miles (705 kilometers) above the Earth and observe how carbon dioxide enters and leaves the atmosphere, helping scientists predict future increases in the main greenhouse gas blamed for global warming. More here:
The centrepiece of Nasa’s $280 million climate-change mission crashed into the sea near Antarctica today, delivering a heavy blow to the agency’s attempts to chart global warming.
The space agency’s first carbon dioxide-monitoring satellite took off on a rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California this morning, but after blasting through the Earth’s atmosphere it fell short of its orbiting height and plummeted back towards the sea. More here:
Cuba has the best medical system
"This operation is the completion of medical tests and treatment his Excellency had received recently and it was ... successful," said a court statement carried by the state news agency SPA. More here:
What? Coming to the United States for medical care? Why didn't he go to Cuba? Maybe he missed Michael Moore's movie. It's too bad when people don't benefit from Michael Moore, the great genius. Their loss, I guess.

Congress cannot be stopped
The money, which needs U.S. congressional approval, will be distributed through U.N. and other bodies and not via the militant group Hamas, which rules Gaza, said one official.
"This money is for Gaza and to help strengthen the Palestinian Authority. It is not going to go to Hamas," said the official, who asked not to be named as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to announce the funding at a donors' conference in Egypt next week. More here:
Ok, first of all, Hamas runs that place. The money WILL end up in the hands of Hamas. If you don't think so, you must be one of the people who are shocked every morning when the sun rises.
Second, we're "rebuilding" Gaza? How long until the terrorists start sending rockets into Israel and then Israel bombs it again? Has our government become a bunch of clucking idiots -- or is it that they could not possibly care less what they do with YOUR money?
Fun with large neodynium magnets

He is lucky that he only lost a finger tip as opposed to his whole hand. The block Neo below is about 4" by 2" by 2" N45 with a pull force of around 700 lbs (320 kg). The disk is about 3" dia. by 2 1/2" thick N45 with a pull force of about 400 lbs (180 kg). That is his fingernail and some of his finger tip caught between the magnets.
They came to me from the USA in four different large cardboard boxes. Each magnet placed in the center of each box. Very careful packing ! I placed them in my own room (closed when I am not at home or in the room) around a 1 meter in diameter pouf. No direct contact.
That Sunday night I placed on of them a bit in line with one of the others but still within a safety distance (I thought) !!!
When I rotated the magnet the other raised it self upwards due to the same poles. I know that I thought (ooops ... take care) and before I knew it the one that raised itself upwards turned around and within a split second the two magnets collided to each other with the top-part of my finger between them. Due to the brutal force my finger was splashed and pushed out between the magnets leaving skin and my complete nail between the two magnets. The collision was so strong that on the carpet I found only some drops of blood spread around the magnets. Like you smash a hammer on a frikandel (is a Dutch snack, a sort of minced-meat hot dog)...
I appreciate that you will place my story with the pictures to warn others about the not known danger of these beautiful magnets
Best regards....... Dirk - The Netherlands

You can get a better look of the cases by visiting the artist’s website. The site’s in French, so if you speak the language you’re in luck. But if you’re like me and speak only two languages – English and bad English – there are plenty of pretty-shiny designs and pictures to look at.

Difference in Cruise & Ballistic Missiles
Ballistic missiles are not to be confused with cruise missiles. The former are unmanned projectiles; the latter are pilotless airplanes, either remote controlled or pre-programmed. They fly through the air, and only through the air. The engines of cruise missiles, like those of aircraft, burn oxygen from the air. Like all other kinds of aircraft, cruise missiles are held up by the flow of air over their wings. Their engines work throughout the flight, not just at the beginning. Cruise missiles fly horizontally rather than in arches, reach only about twice the speed of sound, and typically travel from tens to hundreds of miles. More here:
The thing that got me thinking about this was this article:
In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Martha Raddatz, Adm. Timothy Keating, head of the U.S. Pacific Commands, said that the military is prepared to shoot down any North Korean ballistic missile -- if President Obama should give the order.
"If a missile leaves the launch pad we'll be prepared to respond upon direction of the president," Keating told ABC News. "I'm not a betting man but I'd go like 60/40, 70/30 that it will, they will attempt to launch a satellite. There's equipment moving up there that would indicate the preliminary stages of preparation for a launch. So I'd say it's more than less likely." More here:
