The conservatives get a few crumbs

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss handed the GOP a firewall against Democrats eager to flex their newfound political muscle in Washington, winning a bruising runoff battle Tuesday night that had captured the national limelight.

Chambliss' victory thwarted Democrats' hopes of winning a 60 seat filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. It came after a bitter month long runoff against Democrat Jim Martin that drew political luminaries from both parties to the state and flooded the airwaves with fresh attack ads weeks after campaigns elsewhere had ended. Now, if they can keep this circus clown, Stuart Smalley, from trying to steal an election in Minnesota, we MIGHT stand SOME chance of blocking the communists in their more outrageous attempts at stealing property and liberty from Americans (Never mind the constitution, it's for the "common good.")

Put your REAL gift in a funny box

Christmas Joke - Fake boxes - you can buy them here:

Found them at
J-Walk:

I'm doing my part

Ramos & Compean

The Congress is gearing up to ram amnesty down our throats. Even though the American people have fought and fought against this, defeating it twice last year, they will not give up. I realize they are going to win but I'm going down fighting it as best I can.

I faxed both my Senators and my Representative this morning (and also signed the petition.)

They also have a fax set up for you to request President Bush pardon the two border patrol agents (Ramos & Compean) who went to jail while trying to stop a drug smuggler.

Are you shitting me?

I was going to do one of those misleading headlines like "Calender Features Enormous Naked Hooters" but seems unnecessarily cruel. Maybe if we'd won the election.

The Sun article, with one nude (no actual naughty bits, but it's obviously distasteful):

The gay 29-year-old from Memphis, USA, is so proud of his size, he has posed nude in a series of 'sexy' shots.
...
"I feel sexy and attractive so that's the way I act," says Mikey. "I don't see why I can't pose up for photos like any other male model.
...
"It was very liberating actually," says Mikey who is posed on all fours (August), as an angry bull (May) and with a Christmas hat (December).
The site's here; light content warning. Again, no actual penis, as it's discretely hidden under multiple rolls of undulating he-tits.

From Ace's blog:

Ever notice? Whenever some dipshit does something dumb, "it's liberating." Funny how you can always tell the peeps who are in therapy because they parrot the psycho-babble they hear from their therapist. They all sound like morons.

They were just pining for the fjords

TWO construction workers were buried alive as they slept at a building site for the New Delhi metro, after a truck unwittingly dumped a mound of earth over them.

"The workers were sleeping on the road divider when a dumper dumped earth on them. They died due to asphyxia," Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said.

The accident took place late yesterday at the construction site of the capital city's metro system.

The Delhi Metro insisted it bore no responsibility and suggested the two men might have been murdered.

"Our construction was over. It seems someone killed the workers and dumped the bodies there," said Anuj Dayal, spokesman of Delhi Metro Rail Corp, which is building the transport system. From here:

LMAO - "Nay, it wasn't OUR fault. They were already dead, probably. We're not in the habit of looking for corpses before we dump loads of dirt. Sheesh, c'mon."

You shamed me - I must kill you now

A TEENAGE Indian boy was thrashed, paraded through the streets with his head shaved and then thrown under a train for daring to write a love letter to a girl from a different caste.

Fifteen-year-old Manish Kumar was kidnapped by members of the rival caste on his way to school, had his head shaved and was thrown under a train as his mother begged for mercy, police in the impoverished eastern state of Bihar said.

One man has so far been arrested and a policeman suspended.

The victim's mother Lalit Devi told police she had watched "helplessly" as the wheels of the train passed over her son.

"The accused persons killed the boy for writing a love letter to the girl of the same village," superintendent of police in Kaimur district, Rajesh Kumar, said.

Police said the girl belonged to a washerman community, considered a lower caste, whereas the boy came from the slightly higher dairymen Yadav community.

Love across caste lines is often violently opposed, especially in rural northern India, and it is not uncommon for outraged families to kill to "save the family honour".

Can you even IMAGINE this?

This is a case of the humans making up some "rules" out of the blue and deciding that some, GREAT SHAME, has taken place due to the breaking of the "rules." Meanwhile, nobody is really being hurt at all -- it's only perception.

Thank God they threw him under a train -- you know -- so their "honor" can be saved. Maybe it's just me but I think they have a twisted view of "honor." Then again, this is how all this came about -- someone's perception of "honor."
The difference is, I'm not going to throw someone under a train if they don't live up to my perception.

Braying jackass won't shut the F up

From the Al Gore blog:
A new study suggests the Mayan civilization might have collapsed due to environmental disasters:

"'These models suggest that as ecosystems were destroyed by mismanagement or were transformed by global climatic shifts, the depletion of agricultural and wild foods eventually contributed to the failure of the Maya sociopolitical system,' writes environmental archaeologist Kitty Emery of the Florida Museum of Natural History in the current Human Ecology journal."
As we move towards solving the climate crisis, we need to remember the consequences to civilizations that refused to take environmental concerns seriously.

Yes -- a new "study" -- "suggests" -- way to go, Al Gore. The Klown "suggests" you're mentally ill.

By the way, aren't the Mayans the ones who got peeps to be "sacrifices" and then they cut off their heads and played kickball with it? I guess we better pay attention if geniuses like that got wiped out.

Those damn iPhones

A WOMAN is divorcing her husband after he told her it was an "iPhone glitch" that sent pictures of his genitals to another woman.

The man's wife, "Susan", consulted Apple after finding a close up image of her husband "pleasuring himself" in his sent emails folder.

When she confronted her shocked husband he blamed the message on his phone.

But Susan, understandably a little dubious, decided to ask for advice on an Apple help forum.

She explained the situation saying: "When I approached him about this he admitted that he took the picture but says that he never sent it to anyone.

‘ I think your marriage has a glitch ’

"He claims that he went to the Genius Bar at the local Apple store and they told him that it is an iPhone glitch: that photos sometimes automatically attach themselves to an e-mail address and appear in the sent folder, even though no e-mail was ever sent."

She asked her online helpers for information on the alleged glitch, saying her marriage depended on it.

But she found that the issue has never previously been reported on Apple's support forums.

Instead, she was offered advice on her ailing marriage.

"It's a glitch, but only happens if the pic is sufficiently raunchy," one user said.

"I think your marriage has a glitch," added another.

Susan said she was working on divorce proceedings and thanked everyone for their input.

Communists don't screw around

China's President Hu Jintao made a landmark visit to Cuba Tuesday, bearing millions of dollars in aid and promises of closer future trade ties.

The Chinese leader brought 4.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid for victims of three hurricanes that battered Cuba this year, which was handed over late Monday after Hu's arrival at the Jose Marti International Airport.

Receiving the gift, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Rodrigo Malmierca said that Cuba "deeply appreciates the visit of President Hu Jintao, at the exact moment the country is struggling to recover and continue its development."

It was the third donation China has made to assist Cuba in its recovery from hurricanes Gustav, Ike and Paloma, which caused 10 billion dollars worth of damages in the space of two months. Hurricane aid from the Chinese government and businesses has totalled more than 2.5 million dollars.

Later he accompanied President Raul Castro on a visit to a school for Chinese students, where the Cuban leader sang snippets of a song in Chinese praising late Communist Party Leader Mao Zedong. More here:

Joseph Stalin and Mao depicted on a Chinese postage stamp

About Mao:
Along with land reform, there were also campaigns of mass repression and public executions targeting alleged counter-revolutionaries, such as former KMT officials, businessmen, former employees of Western companies, intellectuals whose loyalty was suspect, and significant numbers of rural gentry.[22] The U.S. State department in 1976 estimated that there may have been a million killed in the land reform, 800,000 killed in the counterrevolutionary campaign.[23] Mao himself claimed that a total of 700,000 people were executed during the years 1949–53.[24] However, because there was a policy to select "at least one landlord, and usually several, in virtually every village for public execution",[25] the number of deaths range between between 2 million and 5 million.[26][27] In addition, at least 1.5 million people were sent to "reform through labour" camps.[28] Mao’s personal role in ordering mass executions is undeniable.[29][30] He defended these killings as necessary for the securing of power.[31] More here:

Pasta jar ... mmmmmm, baby

Random pasta jar. Not the actual pasta jar in question.

A man has been fined after he was caught by police in his car with his penis in a pasta jar.

Keith Roy Weatherley, 46, was spotted acting suspiciously in his car by police near Nobbys Beach in Australia.

When police approached him, they suspected he might be armed, so they drew their weapons.

When he saw the officers, Weatherley pulled away and led police on a 20kph chase which lasted up to ten minutes.

When he finally stopped the vehicle, he refused to exit the car, and officers used batons and spray to remove him. They found him with a 750ml pasta jar around his penis.

While they were trying to restrain him, Weatherley continued to pleasure "himself in between bouts of wrestling".

Police found a number of items in the car, including pornography, a home-made sex aid, women's stockings and a Jack Russell terrier.

Weatherley pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour, resisting police and disobeying a police direction.

He said he resisted police because he was trying to make himself "decent". By metro.co.uk

the Moon, Venus, & Jupiter in the night sky

Planets, Crescent Moon to "Frown" on Skywatchers Dec. 1Andrew Fazekas
for National Geographic News

November 25, 2008
Skywatchers across the world are in for a celestial treat as two of the brightest naked-eye planets, Venus and Jupiter, slowly converge in the evening skies for a celestial summit on November 30.

The real showpiece, however, will be on the following night, when a thin crescent moon joins the planetary pair—creating a brief "unhappy face" in the sky.

The planets will appear closest together—an event known as a planetary conjunction—on November 30 around 4 p.m. Pacific time, and the moon will cozy up to the pair on the evening of December 1.

"This is set to be the best planetary gathering of the year, simply because it involves three of the brightest objects in the sky after the sun," said Geza Gyuk, director of astronomy at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.

"As long as you have clear skies in the early part of the evening, this is one astronomical event that's hard to miss."

In fact, some historians think that a similar conjunction between Jupiter and Venus in 2 B.C. may be the source of the "star of Bethlehem" story related in the Bible.

The stellar pair would have appeared so close together, scholars think, that they might have seemed to meld into one brilliant beacon of light.

RAGWEED note - I guess it is the next COMING. It's hard to believe the news networks are not covering this one for their Messiah.

Big mystery in the media

Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford was arrested this morning on federal charges and is being held at the federal courthouse, the FBI and other federal officials confirm.

The SEC lawsuit against Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford fails to show how friends' personal payments to Langford led to $6.7 million in government business, their lawyers said in a filing seeking dismissal of the suit this summer. The rest here:

Hmmmm, I looked and looked but the jourrrrnalist doesn't say his political party. I guess that means the chances are 50-50 that he's a Republican or Dipshitocrat, right?

Are they trying to tell me something?

Some of my chick fans sent me this link. I think there's a message in there somewhere.

The genius libs on "The View"

Well, at least Whoopi admitted her ignorance about suffrage. Sherri Shepherd just decided to run her mouth without knowing shit ... you know ... like your usual liberal. Hey, Sherri, you sure did make Whoopi look ignorant - lmao.
Also, Jim Crow laws said "you cannot do certain things if you were black?" Huh?
Notice that Elisabeth Hasselbeck nor Joy Behar (who taught English) decided to correct Sherri Shepherd.

Also: -- "Sarah Palin is an airhead" proclaims the very dim Joy Behar. The same "View" co-host who blames earthquakes on global warming and just the previous day could not define the term "suffrage," snidely said of Sarah Palin "we all know that the woman is an airhead." Behar then continued to label those Obama critics "unpatriotic" (this of course after she considered dissent in the Bush years "patriotic")

From Newsbusters:

2nd amendment notes

I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.'

Idiot liberals - "I hope it isn't loaded? Don't you listen to the geniuses on TV?"

This post compliments of Hector aka "The Bone"

On CNN's "Reliable Sources" - LMAO

Excerpts: the rest at Newsbusters:

The election is over, but quite clearly the Palin Derangement Syndrome suffered by many in the mainstream media isn't. This morning's CNN Reliable Sources was typical. Joining host Howard Kurtz to discuss Sarah Palin were Beth Fouhy, an Associated Press political reporter, ...

Beth Fouhy was shooting off her liberal mouth and says "I mean, the fact is polling showed that she was a real drag on the ticket. And she was never really confronted with that issue. Like, how could she really rehabilitate herself to go forward as a national figure given how badly overall she did as a candidate?" Huh?

There are polls and then there are polls. Fouhy could have mentioned the exit poll cited by the Pew Research Center: "Yet those who cited Palin's selection as a factor in their vote -- 60% of all voters -- favored McCain by 56% to 43%." Or she could have noted the Rasmussen poll taken after the election that found: "Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Republican voters say Alaska Governor Sarah Palin helped John McCain’s bid for the presidency. . ."

Even the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza wrote today of how Sarah Palin helped the GOP ticket:

Speaking strictly for myself, I felt MUCH better voting for McCain because Palin was on the ticket. Hey, want to know what the dipshit, Fouhy, looks like ... Rosie O'Donnell's fat sister.

Dont you love how the media continue to pound Sarah Palin, even after the election? Hey, media, a dead horse called ... it said "STOP BEATING ME!!!"

No shortage of idiots

SAN FRANCISCO, November 18, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A mob of homosexuals sexually and physically assaulted a group of Christians praying together in the city's Castro District last week, in apparent retaliation for the recent defeat of homosexual marriage in California.

The Christians, a group of Evangelical Protestants who regularly go to the predominantly homosexual Castro District to sing songs and pray with passers-by, say they were holding hands and singing "Amazing Grace" when a angry mob began to shove and kick them, steal their belongings, pour hot coffee on their faces, and sexually assault them. More here:

In the video, this guy can be heard yelling "if you don't like us, don't come into our neighborhood" (or words to that effect.) I don't recommend watching the video because it's just a crowd of idiots screaming and blowing whistles while the cops escort the Christians out of the Castro.

Right, don't come into our neighborhood, but it's perfectly ok for us to storm your churches and wreak havoc -- got me? It's also perfectly ok for us to send packets of white powder to church officials. No, it's not a hate crime or anything.

I wonder what would happen if a group of Mormons stormed into a homo bath house and commenced with the havoc wreaking and hate criming? I wonder what the media would say then? Nevermind, I don't wonder.

That said though, as far as I'm concerned, these peeps got what they deserved. (Except for the hot coffee in the face, etc.) In other words, they asked for it and they got it.

"Through no fault of his own ... " lmao

Do the pollsters ever call you?

Yes - you hear about "the polls" but nobody ever calls YOU, right? Well, if you want to be polled, you can sign up here for Zogby. They have a good privacy policy so nobody gets your information and they'll email you the results when the polls are finished.

I went ahead and signed up. I'm curious.

Cowboy in Dodge City - 1882

Andy Adams' family moved from Georgia to Texas soon after the Civil War. He always wanted to take part in one of the great cattle drives north. In 1882, the dream of the twenty-three year old became reality when he was hired as a drover on a drive from the Rio Grande River to Northwestern Montana. The journey began on April 1 and lasted five months. Andy kept a journal of his adventure that was published in book form in 1903. We join Andy as the herd arrives at Dodge City, Kansas three months after the beginning of the drive:

On reaching Dodge, we rode up to the Wright House [a general store, hotel and restaurant], where Flood [the trial boss] met us and directed our cavalcade across the railroad to a livery stable, the proprietor of which was a friend of Lovell's [the owner of the cattle].

We unsaddled and turned our horses into a large coral and while we were in the office of the livery, surrendering our artillery, Flood came in and handed each of us twenty-five dollars in gold, warning us that when that was gone no more would be advanced. On receipt of the money we scattered like partridges before a gunner. Within an hour or two, we began to return to the stable by ones and twos, and were stowing into our saddle pockets our purchases which ran from needles and thread to .45 cartridges, every mother's son reflecting the art of the barber, while John Officer has his blond mustache blackened, waxed, and curled like a French dancing master. 'If some of you boys will hold him,' said Moss Strayborn, commenting on Officer's appearance, 'I'd like to take a god smell of him, just to see if he took oil up there where the end of hs neck's haired over.' As Officer already had several drinks comfortably stowed away under his belt, and stood up strong six feet two, none of us volunteered.

Gun Fire at the Lone Star Dance Hall

The Texans made the rounds of the gambling houses, stopped at the Long Branch saloon, and then back to the Wright House for dinner. They filled their afternoon with much of the same. When night fell, they congregated at the Lone Star dance hall where months on the trail and a day of drinking led to confrontation:

"Quince Forrest was spending his winnings as well as drinking freely, and at the end of a quadrille gave vent to his hilarity in an old fashioned Comanche yell. The bouncer of the dance hall of course had his eye on our crowd, and at the end of a change, took Quince to task. He was a surly brute, and instead of couching his request in appropriate language, threatened to throw him out of the house. Forrest stood like one absent-minded and took the abuse, for physically he was no match for the bouncer, who was armed, moreover, and wore an officer's star. I was dancing in the same set with a red-headed, freckled-faced girl, who clutched my arm and wished to know if my friend was armed. I assured her that he was not, or we would have noticed of it before the bouncer's invective was ended. At the conclusion of the dance, Quince and The Rebel passed out, ([left the dance hall] giving the rest of us the word to remain as though nothing was wrong. In the course of half an hour, Priest returned and asked us to take our leave one at a time without attracting any attention, and meet at the stable.
