Jesse Jackson's Apology to Obama
"I am deeply saddened and distressed by the pain and sorrow that I have caused as a result of my hurtful words. I apologize again to Sen. Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, their children as well as to the American public. There really is no justification for my comments and I hope that the Obama family and the American public will forgive me. I also pray that we, as a nation, can move on to address the real issues that affect the American people."
I guess, I gather that he's saying racism is NOT a real issue affecting the American people. I for one, disagree. Of course, WTF do I know?
Update on attendees of Obama's speech
Barely five minutes before the speech was supposed to start, ZDF Berlin studio chief Peter Frey added, "We do estimate that 20,000 people have turned out." Frey's tone, like that of Gelhard, reflected the gap between the relatively modest number cited and the lofty predictions that had preceded the event. Moreover, while the ZDF live images showed that the "Fan Mile" was indeed populated from one end to the other, they also appeared to reveal patches of thinness and pedestrian traffic flowing easily on the half of the boulevard closer to the Brandenburg Gate (i.e. furthest from the "Victory Column"). More here:
Hmmm - I could have sworn the American media told us 200,000. FYI -- ZDF = German public television.
But hey -- on the good side, at least he apologized to the Germans for America. HEE HAW -- HEE HAW.
I emailed my congressman today
Thank you.
I shall post his reply when I get it. By the way, nothing is going to disappoint me more than a rambling/namby-pamby response. Even though this guy is a Democrat, he agreed with my position on illegal aliens and securing the borders. We shall see what his deal is on this issue.
What's that you say? You want to email your congressman too? Click here and then click "write your representative" in the upper left. Don't forget to save it as a favorite, assbite.
Ok -- I checked my email an hour later and I had received FOUR identical responses that looked like this:
Dear Friend,
This is an automatic confirmation that your e-mail has been received. Thank you for contacting me and please be assured your comments and suggestions are appreciated, read, and considered.
Thank you and best wishes,
That's right -- FOUR SEPARATE but identical responses. Don't tell me I'm going to have to block his email.
Guy goes ape - kills libs
Knoxville Police Chief Sterling Owen IV said a letter had been been recovered from the SUV of Jim D. Adkisson, 58, by investigators seeking clues about the motive behind the attack. Authorities said he was an apparent stranger to the Tennessee church where gunfire punctuated a children's performance based on the musical "Annie." Two people were killed and seven wounded Sunday.
"It appears that what brought him to this horrible event was his lack of being able to obtain a job, his frustration over that and his stated hatred of the liberal movement," Owen said at a news conference.
Kemper said the gunman shouted before he opened fire.
"It was hateful words. He was saying hateful things," she said, refusing to elaborate. More here:
Well -- The Klown does not condone killing libs just for being libs but, if he was bent on it, why didn't he pick a different venue. Why a church when there are so many more options available? A "Code Pink" demonstration -- The tree sitters in Berkeley -- I could go on and on.
Well -- I guess if he were sane enough to figure that out, he wouldn't have opened fire in the first place.
Al Gore walks the walk
In this video, Al Gore explains that once word got out, he retrofitted his home to be more energy efficient. Whether or not this is true has yet to be determined, but here's the video.
My point here is that we all can improve our energy use. Just because we've wasted it in the past, we don't have to keep wasting it. I'm no tree-hugger, but I've always been energy conscious (mostly due to poverty).
The video:
deceiver.com is a little harder on Mr. Gore here.
They're probably closer to the mark than I. But I'm an eternal optimist so what can I say?
Daily Show FINALLY recognizes the humor in Obama
Obama? A hypocrite? Naaaaaah!
From Deceiver
I’m old enough to remember the imbroglio that erupted when Rosie O’Donnell declared in 1999 that times had changed, and “we have had enough as a nation. You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison.” Of course, the other shoe dropped the following year, when Rosie hired an armed bodyguard to protect her and her adopted kids. “I don’t personally own a gun,” she said. “But if you are qualified, licensed and registered, I have no problem.”
In short, principles, schminciples. When your physical safety and personal security hit the fan, all bets are off. But isn’t that the sort of crucible where we should expect public figures to prove that their principles actually mean something?
Barack Obama had a similar moment this weekend in the Middle East.
You may remember that Obama has been rather critical of the role the private security firm Blackwater USA has had in helping to rebuild postwar Iraq. “I don’t believe that they should be able to run amok,” he told The Nation in March, “and put our own troops in danger, get paid three or four times or ten times what our soldiers are getting paid. I am the one who has been opposed to those operators.” Obama even suggested in an interview just three weeks ago with Defense News that Blackwater and other private security firms are “eroding the core of our military’s relationship to the nation and how accountability is structured.”
Guess who provided Obama’s personal security detail during his trip to Iraq and Afghanistan?
You can’t make this stuff up folks. And at U.S. News & World Report, Paul Bedard has Obama satisfied enough with the company’s expertise to say that “Blackwater is getting a bad rap.”
Whaddya think, folks? Hypocritical? Or, given all the Messiah-like metaphors being thrown around lately, maybe this is his “Paul on the road to Damascus” moment. Either way, if I’m Blackwater right now, I’m planning the Mother Of All Christmas Parties, complete with vodka-spewing ice sculptures and Keffiyah-clad strippers.
Peaceful Muslims
I used to know a man whose family were German aristocracy prior to World War Two. They owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked him how many German people were true Nazis, and the answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude toward fanaticism ever since.“Very few people were true Nazis” he said, “but, many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.”
We are told again and again by “experts” and “talking heads” that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unquantified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.
The fact is, that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars world wide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill.
It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals.
The hard quantifiable fact is, that the “peaceful majority” is the “silent majority” and it is cowed and extraneous.Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.
China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The Average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a war mongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of Killing that included the systematic killing of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were “peace loving”.History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points. Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by the fanatics. Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun. Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Bosnians, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others, have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
Liberal morons

Inmates are signing up for a National Lottery-funded project to assess and measure our ancient trees.
One trusted method of gauging their age is to "hug" the tree trunk — linking arms around it to measure the girth. Yes - never mind a tape measure, idiots.
The Prison Service insists it does not receive funding for taking part in the five-year scheme, and that it helps prisoners to improve their maths skills. But it is bound to benefit any inmates who take part, especially more serious offenders who have to persuade a parole board that they are fit for release.
The Woodland Trust calls the project the "Summer of Hugs."
Remarks a spokesman for the TaxPayers' Alliance:
Victims are led to believe criminals are being punished, not taught to hug trees.
Your courts will mean nothing soon
Excerpts: The rest here:THE HAGUE (Reuters) - The World Court ordered the United States on Wednesday to do all it could to halt the imminent executions of five Mexicans until the court makes a final judgment in a dispute over suspects' rights.
One of the five Mexicans on death row, Jose Medellin, is due to die on August 5 in Texas.
The court indicates that the United States of America shall take all measures necessary to ensure that five Mexican nationals are not executed pending its final judgment," Judge Rosalyn Higgins said.
Mexico, which had asked the court for an interpretation of its 2004 ruling, given U.S. assertions that its federal states have a large degree of legal autonomy and it cannot compel them to review the cases, welcomed Wednesday's ruling. More here:
Uh-huh -- well -- a couple of things:
1 - This "article" goes on and on about the world court, the death penalty etc -- and then, towards the end, it quickly glosses over:
The Klown wishes the murdered girls were the daughters of judges on the "World Court."
The Klown further wishes that a guy in a referee uniform would rush in the room when the murderous criminal was being put to death, blow a whistle, yell "MURDER!! - DEATH PENALTY" and then throw a yellow flag at the jackass.
Secondly - hey -- "World Court" -- take a flying f**k at a rolling donut, asshats. Leaving things up to a world court will lead to all of our women wearing burkas. But keep voting for liberals and the world court will be making the calls soon enough.
Discipline for kids isn't necessary
Harris County sheriff's deputies said the 16-year-old was driving at least 90 mph when he crashed on Champions Forest Drive near Teakwood Forest Drive at about 1 a.m.
Detectives said the teen crashed into a wooden fence before hitting a Hummer that was parked in a driveway.
The teen was decapitated by a wooden fence post, deputies said.
"He doesn't have any identification on him," Sgt. S. Wolverton said. "It may just be driver inexperience."
The force of the impact pushed the Hummer into another home's back yard, officials said. It was totaled.
LMAO - "Inexperience?" Yes -- it probably "got away from him" somehow. If he had been "experienced," this might never have happened. It's such a tragedy.
Hey -- Sgt Wollllllllverton -- let the Klown take a crack at deciphering the cause of the crash.
Let's see ... punk jackass with no parental supervision and liberal upbringing figures he can do whatever he wants with no consequences whatever. This works fine with idiot judges and his real mother ... but, with mother nature? .... not so much.
Hey -- maybe we could send his mom a singing telegram:
Me! Me! What about MEEE?

There was trouble just after takeoff for Delta Flight 989 Tuesday morning. Minutes after leaving Lambert Airport, a piece of the plane fell off in the sky above St. Peters. The piece fell to the ground, taking a chunk out of Highway 94.
”A real loud bang,” says one passenger who was on board Flight 989. ”There was a 4-year-old girl that was hysterical. My wife was squeezing my hand pretty tight.”
The passenger, Barry, (liberal jackass) spoke to us while trying to make it to his final destination of Jamaica. He and his wife were on board the flight that left for Atlanta at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. Just minutes after taking off, Barry says they heard the boom.
”Something was either coming off, ripping off, hitting it,” he says. The entire plane was shaking. “We could look out the window and see the engine wasn’t spinning any more.”
Delta says a panel from the right engine on the MD-88 broke off and fell to the ground.
It landed on the entrance ramp to Highway 94 and 364, near Heritage Crossing, right outside Commerce Bank in St. Peters. The FAA says it was about 20 inches big and shaped like a cone. It took a chunk out of the concrete. Next to the bank is a pre school.
“It’s very rare,” says Delta spokesman Kent Landers. “The flight was able to return, following our standard procedures.”
That pilot made an emergency landing with just one engine, as the right engine went out when the piece fell off.
Barry’s father in law, Mike Bishop, lives in Lake St. Louis. “My daughter though they were going to crash,” he says. “She thought the pilot did a good job, because the plane was going all over.”
Delta says the 114 passengers on board were put on different flights to Atlanta, but Bishop (liberal jackass) is still unhappy.
”Nobody said we’ll put you up, compensate you, nobody said a darn word about anything because it’s not an act of God,” he says. “They just showed no care, no care, no customer service, no care, nothing.” Waaaa - Waaaa. Compensate you for what, Barry? For the pilot exibiting awesome skill in getting your ingrate ass back on the ground alive? "No care?" Barry?
Hey, Barry -- the Klown thinks you're a huge pile of crap. Further, the Klown hopes you're killed soon by some stupid mistake you're bound to make. Listen for the gurgle as you depart the earth, jackass.
Landers says Delta is bringing a team of investigators to Lambert to inspect the aircraft. “We’ll know more as we look at the airplane and see what occurred,” he says.
No one on the plane, or on the ground, was injured.

California morons

The measure, sponsored by state Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, also would have required future science textbooks to include climate change as a subject.
In January, the state Senate approved the bill, SB 908, by a 26-13 vote. Only two Republicans supported the proposal.
In his veto statement, Schwarzenegger said he supported education that spotlights the dangers of climate change. However, the Republican governor said he was opposed to educational mandates from Sacramento.
"I continue to believe that the state should refrain from being overly prescriptive in specific school curriculum, beyond establishing rigorous academic standards," he said. More here:
Update - Berkeley tree sitters
Well, a couple of days ago, I guess the cops got complacent because some supporters strung a rope across a street and smuggled in a couple of more sitters and a bunch of food.
I mean -- WTF? The cops just took down all their supply ropes a month ago. How do you put in a month long effort and then lose all your work because the cops weren't watching? If they're going to do this, why is the city wasting money by putting the cops there in the first place?
Seriously, only in California could something this stupid be taking place.
Here's the rest

Hey -- where is that dumbass, Dumpster Muffin, and all the bottles of water that usually dangle from her perch?
