Calm, cool, and collected.

13 Reasons to throw away your Che Guevara T-Shirt.

Che Guevara, vicious mass murderer and T-shirt icon

I never went ahead and bought one myself, but mostly because of the disdain I felt for the people I saw wearing them. These people were "Libs" "hipsters" before the term was invented. One of them shaved half his beard and everyone called him "clever" and "brilliant". That should give you a pretty good idea of the collective intelligence of these people.

Anyway, I read this on IHTM and thought it worth reblogging.

According to the leftist mythology that’s been built up over the last 50 years Che Guevara was a brave, noble soldier who loved freedom and sacrificed his life so that others could achieve it.che posterHa! Here are thirteen Che facts that the left never mentions. Thirteen things that, if they were widely known, would contribute to far fewer T-shirt sales.
  1. Che’s famous motorcycle tour of South American is mostly myth. The motorcycle broke down early in the trek and it was completed with other means of transportation.
  2. Che was nicknamed Chancho (Pig) by his schoolmates because he rarely bathed.
  3. Soon after Batista was overthrown, Guevara had hundreds of Cuban government officials executed. Notice that the phrase “fair trial” was conspicuously absent from the previous sentence.
  4. Che was a brutal murderer. He trained and commanded firing squads that executed thousands of men, women and children deemed enemies by the new Castro regime. He once put a bullet in the head of a fellow guerrilla he suspected of disloyalty.

Cloward - Piven In All Of Its Glory

I've heard about this "theory" for years, but never read it. For your "disruptive" and "re-distributing" edification, here it is. Read it on an empty stomach.

Barney's new part time job

Tuesday Taste of the "Town"

After a short hiatus, it's back. This week, we had a pre-Poker Day lunch at....

THE BRIDGE GRILL
SUNSET BEACH, NC

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Yet another “beach house” looking-joint that is pretty far from the beach. You get used to it here. Walking in I felt like something was wrong, like I’d walked into someone’s house uninvited. The story from the staff was “Yeah – we said we open at 11AM, but we’re not really open or ready." No worries – we’re not in a hurry, and we are more than willing to wait till they get it together. Mostly picnic tables with red and white tablecloths – except for one weird area near the front with a big flat screen TV amidst some very well-worn mismatched garage sale couches.

SERVICE:
Again, kind of weird. I honestly don’t think that our waitress was an actual employee. She tried her best to help us, but really didn’t know where anything was or how to even write up an order ticket. Having said that, she was very nice, surprisingly helpful, and willing to let us laugh at her.

PIZZA:
We ordered a large with extra cheese, mushrooms, and pepperoni. Great call by the Evil Klown for ordering the extra cheese, otherwise it would have been invisible – now it was almost enough. I’ll call it a decent pie – but not really memorable. The price was fair. The crust needed to be crispier (since it was thin) but the mushrooms were fresh, which is important to this pizza lover. I probably will not be back - C-

WTF? EVENT:
Like mentioned previously, the whole vibe was just kind of “strange”. But then when they turned on the overly loud Ravi Shankar music, and all the staff (and their friends) wandered outside to get high, it began to make some sense.

Your government - always helping you

Yes, it seems the government goes out and buys baseball bats with your own money and then comes back from the store and beats you bloody with your own bat.  And don't pipe up either, jackass.  There's nothing you can do short of throwing these shitstains out on their ears ... oh, wait  we just did.  What's that you say?  Yes, I agree, I can't wait for 2012 either.

Chavez, the socialist genius

CARACAS, Dec 5 (Reuters) - President Hugo Chavez blamed "criminal" capitalism on Sunday for global climate phenomena including incessant rains that have brought chaos to Venezuela, killing 32 people and leaving 70,000 homeless.

Worst hit is the coastal area of the South American OPEC member nation where millions live in precarious hillside shantytowns and mudslides have been toppling rickety houses.  More here:

Right, nice rickety houses produced by your housing policies over the past decade, Marx boy. But go ahead and blame capitalism if you like. Hey, how's your inflation rate? Ohhhh ... sorry to hear that ... have you tried blaming capitalism yet?

Hey ... Chavez ... did you hit that?  You hit it, dincha?  Yeah, I figured you would.

Poor Gore, he only made millions before you found him out

A year ago tomorrow, just before the opening of the UN Copenhagen world climate summit, the British Meteorological Office issued a confident prediction. The mean world temperature for 2010, it announced, 'is expected to be 14.58C, the warmest on record' - a deeply worrying 0.58C above the 19611990 average.

World temperatures, it went on, were locked inexorably into an ever-rising trend: 'Our experimental decadal forecast confirms previous indications that about half the years 2010-2019 will be warmer than the warmest year observed so far - 1998.'

Met Office officials openly boasted that they hoped by their statements to persuade the Copenhagen gathering to impose new and stringent carbon emission limits - an ambition that was not to be met.

When the Met Office issued its December 2009 preThere-diction, it was clearly expecting an even bigger El Nino spike than happened in 1998 - one so big that it would have dragged up the decade's average.

But though it was still successfully trying to influence media headlines during Cancun last week by saying that 2010 might yet end up as the warmest year, the small print reveals the Met Office climbdown. Last year it predicted that the 2010 average would be 14.58C. Last week, this had been reduced to 14.52C.

That may not sound like much. But when one considers that by the Met Office's own account, the total rise in world temperatures since the 1850s has been less than 0.8 degrees, it is quite a big deal. Above all, it means the trend stays flat.

Meanwhile, according to an analysis yesterday by David Whitehouse of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, 2010 had only two unusually warm months, March and April, when El Nino was at its peak. More here:

You know, it's one thing to laugh at idiot hippies who buy into any old crap that gets tossed their way.  You know, if they don't understand it they think nobody else does either.  It's another matter entirely when our politicians are tossing a hundred gazillion dollars at idiocy like this.

What's the good news?  The good news is we just tossed a whole crapload of those jackasses out on their ears.  Fired them!!  They're GONE!

And what about Al Gore - the braying asshat?

One of Al Gore's campaigns to save the planet has scaled back its field operations since climate legislation failed earlier this year in Congress.  Yep, it failed in congress so better stop trying to save the planet.  I know that's what I'd do if I were convinced the planet was doomed ... I'd just give up if congress wouldn't give me money.

The Alliance for Climate Protection was operating in about 25 states at its peak, including Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

But the group now has field offices in just seven states.  Awwww, shucks.  Because why?  What happened that made them scale back?  Did they lose their funding all of a sudden?  I thought they were being funded by altruistic people ... people who really cared about getting funding from congress the planet.

"We've always believed it’s a mobile and nimble operation," said Sean Sarah, the non-profit group's spokesman. "We move to areas where it’s most effective. Huh?  Where WHAT is most effective?  What are you trying to be effective at?  Saving the planet or getting funding?  Of course the situation in Congress has changed. So our strategies and tactics have changed along with it." Yes, but what about the situation with the planet?  Has that changed?  No?  Then why the change in your tactics and strategery?

Sarah didn't disclose which states the Alliance still has workers in. But he said the group retains its same staff size and headquarters in Washington and Gore's hometown of Nashville.

Gore in 2008 launched a $300 million advertising and lobbying campaign through the Alliance to help pass climate legislation on Capitol Hill, telling CBS' 60 Minutes at the time it was a “blitz as sweeping and expensive as a big corporation's rollout of a new product.” Yes, a "product" that a big/fat dumbass like Gore big/evil  big/bloated corporation would sell for a profit ... hmmmm, sounds familiar to me. The group has not disclosed how much of that money it ultimately spent. Right, because that's the thing about honest and forthright organizations that go around saving planets ... they don't like "disclosing" their massive profits information.  That kind of thing is just none of your business ... you unsophisticated dumbasses might get the wrong idea in your pea brains.  From here:

The government ... they're always thinking

Hmmmm, I didn't know about this

Springtime in the south is something to behold.  My favorite are the Bradford Pear trees with their white flowers around March 15th or so.  These trees don't make any fruit (pears) they're just called that because they're shaped like a pear.

Also, one of my favorites is Wisteria. It grows as a vine (with bluish/purple flowers in spring)  but some people grow it as a bush or short tree buy growing the vine out of the ground then constantly trimming it.  Here's a pic of some Wisteria in bloom.

But there's something you probably didn't know about Wisteria ... but now you will, thanks to your helpful Evil Klown.  No need to thank me ... it's what I do.

What? A jourrrrnalist called global warming a scam?

Scams die hard, but eventually they die, and when they do, nobody wants to get close to the corpse. You can get all the hotel rooms you want this week in Cancun.

The global-warming caravan has moved on, bound for a destination in oblivion. The United Nations is hanging the usual lamb chop in the window this week in Mexico for the U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, but the Washington guests are staying home. Nobody wants to get the smell of the corpse on their clothes.

Everybody who imagined himself anybody raced to Copenhagen last year for the global-warming summit, renamed "climate change" when the globe began to cool, as it does from time to time. Some 45,000 delegates, "activists," business representatives and the usual retinue of journalists registered for the party in Copenhagen. This year, only 1,234 journalists registered for the Cancun beach party. The only story there is that there's no story there. The U.N. organizers glumly concede that Cancun won't amount to anything, even by U.N. standards.

More here:

So, let me get this straight.  The whole time these complete idiots were telling us that global warming was real, we were supposed to believe them.  And now that they're telling us it was a scam all along, we're supposed to believe them again ... as if, somehow, the jourrrrnalists were able to discover the scam all on their own.  It's as if we haven't been telling them that for ten years, right?  I love how they pretend they don't remember.

So now they've all been proven wrong.  The true believers will never admit it.  They're like those people that keep re-predicting the date of the rapture every time they're proven wrong.  Pathetic.

On the other hand, notice his metaphor "nobody wants to get near the rotting corpse." (As if it were once alive.)  It was never alive as far as I was concerned.  Not after I found out the moron-in-charge was James Hanson -- the same moron who was in charge of global cooling in the 70's.

Of course, in my favor, I'm of average intelligence (which means I'm smarter than 99% of jourrrrnalists and idiot liberals) so I didn't fall for it.

Government can't stop forcing you to spend money

U.S. auto-safety regulators proposed requiring backup cameras on all new vehicles by 2014 to prevent drivers from backing over pedestrians, a rule that may cost as much as $2.7 billion.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which published the proposed rule today, said an average of 292 people die each year from back-over accidents, which primarily kill children and the elderly. To equip a new-vehicle fleet of 16.6 million produced in a year would cost from $1.9 billion to $2.7 billion, the agency said in the proposal, calling the cost “substantial” and saying it might reduce back-over deaths and injuries by almost half. More here:

Yep, add a couple of hundred to the cost of my car?  No problemo for the helpful bureaucrats/politicians in Washington DC.  That's right, absolutely no problem at all ... and if you question it?  Why you're just a brutal, uncaring, uneducated jackass.  Look, buttcheese, you'll pay anything we say and you'll pay it anytime we say it ... period ... got that?  Don't like it?  Tough shit.

Notice how they conjure up "the children" ... "it's for the children."  If you've never noticed, it's the cry of the lib.  It's one of the tools (along with "racists" and others that they use to make you shut up.

My guess is they'll add this to the list of things that "must work" for your car to pass inspection.  No sweat though, probably won't cost much to fix one of these.

Oh, and while we're at it, let's just snag some more of your freedom.

The Transportation Department is looking into technology to disable cell phones in vehicles, according to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

"There's a lot of technology out there that can disable phones and we're looking at that," LaHood said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

LaHood seemed to suggest that this technology has a good chance of making its way into cars. "I think it will be done," he said. More here:

THAT'S RIGHT, ASSHOLES!  Never mind there have been distractions while driving since little kids were invented -- THIS little piece of legislation is going to fix everything.  Know what else it's going to fix?  Here's a list:
  • Putting on makeup in cars.
  • Reaching around to smack a kid.
  • Looking around/sideways to chat with friends
  • Fiddling with the radio
  • Looking at porn a map while driving
  • Fiddling with the A/C - heater
  • Grabbing a gun out of the gun glove compartment.
  • Eating a alfalfa sprout sandwich McDonald burger
  • Drinking coffee on the way to work.
  • Reading the billboards out loud
  • Smacking a guy for reading the billboards out loud
I could go on and on, but I won't ... I'm not a lib.

By the way, keep your ears open for this guy's name (Ray LaHood) ... it seems to come up a lot ... A LOT.  He loves pushing you around and costing you money ... for your own good, of course ... you uneducated peckerwood.  Then again, that attitude is pervasive among libs ... an essential characteristic you might say.

See, now I'm just the opposite.  I think if they're going to force us to pay for air bags then at the same time  they could just as easily install a quick-inflate boxing glove in your sun visor.  Then give every driver a remote control that you could aim at another car and set off their boxing glove.  Now THAT would cut down on people cutting in front of you etc.  Road rage?  Oh, I reckon not.  Just lower that middle finger real slow-like there, sidewinder, cuz my 'mote finger's gettin' mighty itchy.

Sure, I can hear your thoughts now ... "Klown, stop engaging in such a pedantic exercises in sophistry," which reminds me ... let's go ahead and install them in your computer monitors as well.

History of langauges

You know how different languages share some words (or very similar words?)  I happened across this quote this morning.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

FYI - for my friends around Calabash

Masterminds and ninjas.

I was talking to the Klown about masterminds and how the MSM overuses the term. I commented that you should only be called a "mastermind" by the press if they never know that you were behind the whole scheme in the first place. That comment reminded me of this sign posted on a telephone pole.
