Oh... great! Something NEW about which to worry.
In the crawl on the news this morning, I read something astonishing. "48 year old man in critical condition after being struck by a bulldozer".
"Struck"? How about "nudged"? Nevertheless, I googled it and got numerous results of numerous instances of people being "struck" by bulldozers. Who knows- maybe they were fat like Butterbean, fell over and could not get up and out of the way in time to avoid the 1.2 mph "collision".

MIAMI - The Republican National Committee demanded Monday that television networks stop running a television ad by the Democratic Party that falsely suggests John McCain wants a 100-year war in Iraq.
The ad says President Bush has talked about staying in Iraq for 50 years, then plays a clip of McCain saying, "Maybe 100. That'd be fine with me."
At issue is McCain's answer, in January, to a question about Bush's theory that troops could be in Iraq for 50 years.
McCain said: "Maybe 100. As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, that'd be fine with me, and I hope it would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al-Qaida is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."
Democratic Party chief Howard Dean said "there's nothing false" about the ad.

But now the institution in Fort Collins, Colo., where he has worked for nearly half a century, has told Gray it may end its support of his seasonal forecasting.

Jackass lib justices futily bray from bench
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws.
In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana's strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to prevent fraud.
Hey -- DEMOCRATS -- if you can ask someone to show an ID to drive, or to buy beer or cigarettes, then why not for voting? Aren't you deterring poor, older, and minority peeps from driving? Or don't you care about that? The Klown suspects you only care about cheating and getting fraudulent votes.
It was the most important voting rights case since the Bush v. Gore dispute that sealed the 2000 election for George W. Bush. But the voter ID ruling lacked the conservative-liberal split that marked the 2000 case.
The law "is amply justified by the valid interest in protecting 'the integrity and reliability of the electoral process,'" Justice John Paul Stevens said in an opinion that was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy. Stevens was a dissenter in Bush v. Gore in 2000. Since when do the libs care about integrity or reliability?
Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas also agreed with the outcome, but wrote separately.

Ken Falk, legal director of the American CRIMINAL Liberties Union of Indiana, said he hadn't reviewed the decision, but he was "extremely disappointed" by it. Falk has said voter ID laws inhibit voting, and a person's right to vote "is the most important right." The ACLU brought the case on behalf of Indiana voters. 'Man Held Daughter Captive In Cellar'
Police in Austria have entered a cellar where a man allegedly held his daughter captive for 24 years, during which time he may have fathered seven children by her.
The basement area consists of a very narrow hallway and several rooms, said Franz Polzer, head of the Lower Austrian Bureau of Criminal Affairs, on Austrian TV.
Authorities accessed the area after the father told them how to unlock a hidden door using a code only he had known.
Detectives say Elisabeth Fritzl had been missing since August 29, 1984.
Now aged 42, the woman was found after a tip-off to police. Her 73-year-old father Josef Fritzl has been arrested and is being held in custody.
Speaking from outside the house, Sky's Greg Milam said: "The fact that police have been able to get inside that cellar is significant.
"It means they have a better idea of what Elisabeth Fritzl was going through.
"But it also means the father is talking to police."
The case came to light after one of the children was taken to hospital in the town of Amstetten.
The youngster, 19-year-old Kerstin, was said by police to be "gravely ill".
Elisabeth told police her father began sexually abusing her when she was 11 and he locked her up in a room in the cellar on August 28, 1984.
During the 24 years that followed, she said she had six children by him.
The seventh child was a twin who died shortly after birth. Josef Fritzl removed the body and burned it.
The two oldest children, aged 18 and 19, and the youngest aged 5, had been locked up with their mother since birth and had never seen sunlight or received any education, police said. Holy smoke.
Josef's wife Rosemarie had been unaware of what happened to her daughter and it was assumed she had disappeared voluntarily when her parents received a letter from her saying they should not search for her.
Three of Elisabeth's younger children were each left on her parents' doorstep, the first accompanied by a letter saying she could not look after the baby herself.
All were taken in by Josef and his wife as foster or adopted children and went to school as normal.
Police said Elisabeth only agreed to talk after the authorities promised she would not have to have see her father again and the children would be taken care of.
The mother and children are now being treated in hospital by a team of psychologists.

Broderick Lloyd Laswell says he isn't happy that he's down to 308 pounds after eight months in the Benton County jail. He has filed a federal lawsuit complaining the jail doesn't provide inmates with enough food.
According to the suit, Laswell weighed 413 pounds when he was jailed in September. Police say he and a co-defendant fatally beat and stabbed a man, then set his home on fire.
"On several occasions I have started to do some exercising and my vision went blurry and I felt like I was going to pass out," Laswell wrote in his complaint. "About an hour after each meal my stomach starts to hurt and growl. I feel hungry again." Boo-hoo, nitwit.
But Laswell then goes on to complain that he undertakes little vigorous activity.
"If we are in a small pod all day (and) do next to nothing for physical exercise, we should not lose weight," the suit says. "The only reason we lost weight in here is because we are literally being starved to death."

The latest quake swept store shelves clean, cracked walls in homes and dislodged rocks on hillsides, but there were no reports of injuries or widespread major damage.
Seismologists said the recent activity is unusual because the quakes started out small and continue to build in strength. The normal pattern is for a main quake followed by smaller aftershocks.
"A magnitude 6 quake wouldn't be a scientific surprise," John Anderson, director of the seismological lab, said Saturday. "We certainly hope residents are taking the threat seriously after last night." OOooo -- it could continue and a big one wouldn't be a surprise?
But Anderson stressed there was no way to predict what would happen, and said the sequence of quakes also could end without a major one. OOooooo -- it could end at any minute? Hey -- Thanks for NOTHING, Poindexters. Just say "how are we supposed to predict the unpredictable?"

Sharpton to "SHUT DOWN" New York City
The "Reverend," Asshat Racebaiter Sharpton, was present to ensure justice is done and to collect any loose money.

"This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell." For many years now, I've noticed lots of peeps (mostly jourrrrrnalists and activists) invoke words like MLK, Child Abuser, Hitler, Rape, Genocide, Greedy-Evil-Rich (henceforth, I shall call them the "Greevil Rich), etc etc to try to set the stage for whatever crap they're pushing. Usually, it's ridiculous exaggeration of their situation but nobody ever questions it. It's hysterical to me -- and I think it explains a lot of my contempt for the sheep.
If you've forgotten what happinked in this case, here is a brief overview.
At the time Bell was holding his bachelor party at Kalua Cabaret, a venue ("venue" -- lmao -- and, as Wombat pointed out, the media always breezes past the fact that this is a STRIP CLUB - so I shall help them out for the rest of the article) that was being investigated by seven undercover police detectives. The owners of the club (TITTY BAR) had been repeatedly accused of fostering prostitution.
The New York Post reported that, according to an unnamed undercover officer, Guzman had an argument inside the club (STRIP CLUB WITH HOOKERS) with a woman and threatened to get a gun. One of Bell's friends was heard to say "yo, get my gun" as they left the scene(OF TOPLESS DANCERS) Fearing a shooting was in the making, the Undercover Detective followed them to their car while alerting his Backup team that they were possibly retrieving a gun from the car, prompting the team to confront Bell and his companions before they could leave the scene (STRIP CLUB.) The undercover officer followed the group and Bell was ordered by the officer to raise his hands after getting in his car. Instead, Bell accelerated the car and seconds later hit an unmarked police minivan. A toxicology report reportedly showed that he was legally drunk at the time of the shooting.
Bell held odd jobs after the birth of his daughter. His fiancée, Nicole Paultre, told Larry King that Bell was an electrician by trade and in between jobs when the shooting occurred. Bell had been arrested three times, twice for drug dealing and once for a firearms possession. In all cases, he was released on his own recognizance. The New York Daily News reported that, according to unnamed law enforcement sources, Bell sold crack cocaine twice to a confidential police informant in August of 2006. Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield, who were also shot in the incident, had been arrested nine and three times, respectively, each having been arrested at least once for illegal firearm possession. Benefield was subsequently arrested during a gambling raid in Harlem after attending the funeral of James Brown, and again on September 25, 2007 for hitting his child's mother. His latter arrest resulted in him pleading guilty on October 12, 2007 to a lesser charge, and accepting a conditional discharge along with counseling.

Actually it is Al Sharpton and Limbaugh has yet to comment on it, But since this is just how the Denver riots brouhaha got started, I believe that if Limbaugh goes on the air Monday and says that he hopes that they follow through, our local libs will again unleash their foam-flecked bile, ignore Sharpton’s role again and try to place all the blame on Limbaugh.
Actually I hope that he does. Limbaugh realizes that liberals are so predictable, that he can simply express a desire that they do what they are claiming that they plan to do and they will expose themselves as the fever swamp dwellers that they are.

The Klown thinks this is one of the main reasons for ridiculous situations in the world ... peeps can't admit they screwed up. Just ask the peeps down there in Texas where they snagged all those kids from their parents and now they DAMN WELL BETTER find themselves a witch.

Cop says "mind your own business"
CHICAGO (AP) - Police on Saturday were attempting to determine why a tractor-trailer rig barreled into a Chicago Transit Authority train station, killing two people and injuring 21.
Their investigation included questioning the 51-year-old truck driver, who was briefly hospitalized after the accident during the Friday evening rush hour.
The driver, who authorities said tested negative for alcohol, was led away in handcuffs after he was released from a hospital Friday night. He had not been charged with any crime as of Saturday morning, said police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak. She declined to identify the driver. More here:
