yale spent so much money on a pointless study and they didnt even get it correct. instead of doing studies about this, they should be doing something useful and constructive that would actually benifit people. people dont give damn about what scents are recognizable
Well, that's the point of doing a study. They tested 80 common aromas among 200 people. The complete list of aromas doesn't seem to be readily available so maybe ammonia is not among the original 80. Either way, I'll take the results of a good, scientific study any day over the opinions and anecdotes of two random doofuses on the internet any day.
The rest of you who think you know better can go ahead and conduct your own studies. If you do, you better be sure you use scientific method for your testing. Until then, pipe down about what you "think" the results should have been.
