LANCASTER (AP) — It may sound like a bird-brained idea, but the mayor of Lancaster wants to brighten up the Mojave Desert city by broadcasting recorded bird songs.
R. Rex Parris proposed the idea during his State of the City talk on Monday.
The Antelope Valley Press says Parris wants to play the bird chatter from loudspeakers on Lancaster Boulevard. The mayor says there’s science to show that listening to birdsong makes people happier. More here:
See, this is the problem with idiot libs. They want to inflict their ideas upon you ... whether you like it or not. They always try to back up their actions by saying "science shows this is better for you" -- or some other such bullshit. The bottom line? Libs are always telling others what to do and when to do it. It's beyond their ability to leave other people alone. They think they're such geniuses that they need to be in charge of everyone and everything.
It's also worth noting that they don't give a nanosecond of thought to squandering your money on whatever little pet project they dream up (today.)
