President Obama has shattered the budget record for first-year presidents -- spending nearly double what his predecessor did when he came into office and far exceeding the first-year tabs for any other U.S. president in history. More here:Well, this almost sounds like a lib media headline ... misleading. Unless they've changed the constitution, the president can't spend money. Sure, he can suggest it but congress has to spend it. Anyway, the congress is run by the democrats and this spending isn't a surprise to any except the most ignorant of people. They'll never raise taxes on the ignorant though, they'll only raise taxes on the corporations, which will then charge the ignorant (and everyone else) at the cash register.

It's a shame really that there's no punishment for this sort of behavior. It would be great if every time a dem got into office and spent the ELS out our economy that they'd have to fix it. As it stands now, a republican gets voted into office and brings things back under control.
It's rather like a teenager having the run of the house while the parents are out of town. The place gets trashed, the parents come home and scream at the kid.
During the party, and all the kid's friends talk about how cool the kid is and what a great house he (not the parents who work for a living) has.
The parents get home and scream bloody murder over the mess, the kid's friends talk about how "uncool" the parents are and how they need to loosen up and go with the flow. The kid pretends to help fix the mess but after enough of that, the parents figure it would be easier just to do it themselves and tell the kid to go to the mall or something so they can get the job done.
While they clean up the mess, all the kid's friends talk about how uncool this is and pester the kid about having another party. The kid feigns responsibility for long enough to convince his parents to go out of town again and once they do, SURPRISE, the same thing happens... mysteriously.
The only difference between this allegory and reality is that the kid and his friends are democrats, the parents are republicans and the forgetfulness allowing it to happen again is the voting american public.
