They are immune to embarrassment

Federal forecasters expect busy Atlantic hurricane season (Shocker)

Government forecasters are predicting a worse-than-usual hurricane season and hope the forecast will be taken seriously despite similar predictions in the past two years that did not hold up. More here:

Hey, pinheads, keep predicting "worse than usual" hurricane seasons -- sooner or later you'll get one.

I mean, by definition, half of them are "worse than average" and half of them are "better than average" -- and with 50-50 odds, you morons STILL get it wrong -- a flipped coin could beat you -- but thanks for the fear mongering.

It's the same concept of the weatherman predicting rain everyday, he'll get it right at least once. How about we stop trying to predict these storms and work on educating people more about how to stay safe, before we have another New Orleans on our hands.
