In other news, the tailpipe of a running car gets as hot as all hell. Hot enough to melt through the triple thick sole of a shoe. Of course they forgot to mention this part.

Actually, by the time exhaust gas finally reaches the tailpipe, after passing thru a catalytic converter and a muffler, exhaust gas temperature is around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Although that is rather warm, you obviously need to buy better shoes.
