Ultra Ever Dry, I want some
The Ultra Ever Dry website lacks anything much in the way of information beyond pricing and availability (it's $96 for a quart of the top coat, $53/quart for the base). And, naturally, the components appear to be proprietary and the company offering it seems to be a distributor (so no immediate clues to how the substance works or opportunities to check out the patents.) More here:
Here's some Q & A from their website:
1. What is the working temperature range for Ultra-Ever Dry SE 7.6.110?
Answer: The working temperature range for the product is from -30°F to 300°F (-34°C to 149°C) once it has been applied. It has been effective at temperatures up to 500°F, but we would recommend further testing for any application that will see temperatures above 300°F (260°C).
2. How long will Ultra-Ever Dry coating last?
Answer: Environmental conditions will affect duration and these can vary. Abrasion is the leading cause of reduction in the superhydrophobic coating’s life. Under non-abrasive, static conditions, you should expect to see many years of outdoor service. Indoor applications will exceed that of outdoor applications.
3. What materials will the Ultra-Every Dry adhere or bond to?
Answer: Almost any material is a candidate for Ultra-Ever Dry application; steel, aluminum, other metals, plastic, leather, fabric, wood, concrete, etc.
4. How abrasion-resistant is Ultra-Ever Dry SE 7.6.110?
Answer: One of the breakthroughs for this product is its abrasion resistance. The proprietary material provides more abrasion resistance than previous superhydrophobic materials, registering a result of 110 on the Tabor Abrasion Method (ASTM D4060-10). If abrasion is a concern, testing is recommended. If the superhydrophobic coating is removed due to abrasion, it can be reapplied by re-spraying.
5. Will the superhydrophobic coating still work if the top coat is greatly reduced due to abrasion?
Answer: Yes. In many situations, the superhydrophobic nature of the material may be diminished but the remaining top coat and bottom coat still provide the functionality of keeping the coated material from getting wet, iced-up or corroding. This is application dependent.
6. How many square feet or square meters can a gallon of Ultra-Ever Dry cover?
Answer: A gallon of Ultra-Ever Dry will cover 150 – 180 square feet or 14 - 16 square meters.
And if you spray yourself with it and dive into a pool, is there any friction? Or is it like you dived into an empty pool?
Note: at combined total $150 for a gallon, you'll get to coat about 150 square feet of stuff. I went ahead and did the complicated math for you, that's a dollar per square foot (not counting labor.)
The only problem is, the stuff is "translucent white" sooooooo, probably not going to work on windshields.

When the end of slavery just isn't dramatic enough ... what do you do?
Writer
Tony Kushner accepts the Best Adapted Screenplay Award for 'Lincoln'
onstage at the 18th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards on Jan. 10 in
Santa Monica.(Photo: Kevin Winter, Getty Images)
Even if it's Steven Spielberg, and even if it's Daniel Day-Lewis amazingly occupying the title role, Lincoln
is still a movie. And that means liberties were taken with the story,
something screenwriter Tony Kushner is now explaining in the wake of
accusations that the film is not historically accurate.
Rep. Joe Courtney, D-Conn., wrote a letter to Spielberg earlier this week noting that a key part of Lincoln
is wrong. The film shows two of three lawmakers from his state voting
against the 13th Amendment, prohibiting slavery in the U.S. "I could not
believe my eyes and ears!" he wrote, because, he says, according to the
Congressional Record, all four representatives from Connecticut voted
in favor of the amendment.
Kushner acknowledges, "We changed two of the delegation's votes, and
we made up new names for the men casting those votes, so as not to
ascribe any actions to actual persons who didn't perform them. In the
movie, the voting is also organized by state, which is not the practice
in the House. "
He goes on to say the alterations were made "to
clarify to the audience the historical reality that the Thirteenth
Amendment passed by a very narrow margin that wasn't determined until
the end of the vote.
But wait, turns out it's not really "history," it's actually "historical drama" ... so, whew.
"Here's my rule: Ask yourself, "Did this thing happen?" If the answer is
yes, then it's historical. Then ask, "Did this thing happen precisely
this way?" If the answer is yes, then it's history; if the answer is no,
not precisely this way, then it's historical drama."
Yes, historical drama ... aka, lib bullshit. I guess the actual end of slavery just wasn't exciting or dramatic enough for this guy. I mean ... wtf is WRONG with libs?

Look, a witch!!!
A young mother accused of sorcery was stripped naked, doused with
petrol and burned alive in Papua New Guinea because she was allegedly a
sorceress.
The woman, named by The National newspaper as Kepari Leniata, 20, was
reportedly tortured with a branding iron and tied up, splashed with fuel and
set alight on a pile of rubbish topped with car tyres.
According to the rival Post-Courier newspaper she was torched by villagers who claimed she killed a six-year-old boy through sorcery, with police outnumbered by onlookers and unable to intervene. More here:
Torched by villagers? Hmmmm. Don't you mean "torched by ignorant bleating sheep?" Ever notice how "certain" the ignorant bleating sheep are?
Oh yes, always so certain of themselves. So certain, in fact, that they can
Wow, this is sure to be all over the network news
Molena Nichole Dowell
BULLS GAP, Tenn. -An
86-year-old woman grabbed a gun in self-defense when police say an
intruder broke into her home. News 5 sat down with this woman today and
listened to her tell about the experience.
Louise Howard lives just off a busy highway in Bulls Gap.
She told us she's been the victim of theft many times before, and she's had enough and it was time to take a stand.
"I told different people if I ever catch them, I mean to kill them," said Louise Howard.
Louise Howard may be 86 years old, but she isn't afraid to defend her home or her life.
On Friday afternoon she was forced to do that. Howard said a young woman broke the glass on her door and forced her way inside.
"I was in shock. I didn't know what she was going to do to me!" Howard said.
Howard immediately grabbed her gun, but the two started to struggle down the hall.
"I already had my gun in my hand, and I wouldn't turn it loose for anything," she explained.
Howard's hands are proof she wasn't letting go.
"She
stuck a fingernail in there," said Howard. "She moved her hands sort of
released me a bit. I moved over like that, and I was going to shoot her
in the stomach, but she took her knee and hit my elbow."
The bullet ended up inside the wall where it still hides. More here:
And the Klown is left wondering why she didna shoot the robber on the way out? These are questions not asked by jourrrrnalists.
The next day, investigators say Molena Nichole Dowell, 36, of
Morristown, sold a ring belonging to Howard to a pawn shop in
Morristown. That led officers to Dowell, who admitted to the crime.
Dowell was charged with Aggravated robbery, Burglary and Theft of
Property over $500. She was grazed in the arm by that bullet that Howard
fired during the struggle.
Howard says she’s happy to learn she’ll get her ring back, but hopes it’s not the only item returned.
“I want my gun back!” she emphasized. She hopes others will learn from her story.
OHHHHhhhhh, so THAT'S why she didn't shoot her on the way out.
By the way, have you heard about this story on the major networks? No? Gee, I wonder why, don't you?
Yeah, ok ... very "innovative and fresh" ... standard fare for uninspired Harvard types
I was passing by the TV this morning when this image slapped me in the face.
And this was done why? Why the kissing? Comedy? I don't know anybody over 10 years old who would think this was funny ... and I think the laughter from the ten-year-olds would just be "nervous laughter."
Also, why did NBC find it necessary to show it again on the Today Show? Big news? Ratings? Gonna make them some "munay?"
UPDATE:
After I posted the Leno pic this morning, I ran across this pic on the Drudge report in the afternoon. So I'm assuming this happened this morning as well. I would never watch that show but my wife watches it. Why? I'll never understand.
I mean, is this the new "thing" with libs now? Can't you just hear the saying "Look, I'm not a racist ... AND, I'm so secure in my masculinity I can kiss a man right on the lips ... and it won't be the slightest bit gay."
That's right, and later I'm going to raunch him in the fudgetunnel just to further prove I'm not gay ... "not that there's anything wrong with being gay. "

Hey, we're just helping the poor, so what if we get rich doing it
A cellphone company whose top executive has close ties to President
Obama lobbied for and won a piece of a major new government push to
provide Internet service to low-income job-seekers, even though critics
say the company’s smartphones are poorly suited to the task of helping
those in the program find work.
TracFone CEO F.J. Pollak has been a frequent White House visitor and his
wife Abigail has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for both Mr.
Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns.
And although TracFone had originally lobbied for the program, critics say its contract would not provide recipients with skills-boosting computers and services, but would supply high-end Android phones, ready to play games and browse Facebook but doing little in the way of getting a job. More here:
Yes, and the government gives your tax money to Obama's buddy. Awesome. Feel like a sucker yet? Nah, this is probably an anomaly, right? Isolated incidink.
Is this ALL the government does anymore? Finding new things to tax so they can funnel the money to their friends? All in the name of "helping the poor," of course.
What's this? All the gym's trainers are into ugly fat chicks?
A Dallas woman is suing L.A. Fitness after she says two trainers
forced her to do sexually suggestive exercises and behaved
inappropriately towards her.
CBS DFW reports Jaimie Johnson says her problems began when a trainer
she saw at the gym in Plano made her do exercises she felt were
inappropriate.
“He would answer bluntly, ‘So, I can see your chest move while you do
it," Johnson said the trainer responded when she questioned him about
the exercises. "And, not in an exercising kind of way. More in a sexual
way." More here:
Yeah, sure.
How embarrassing, Canada continues to kick our asses
Canada’s iconic penny gets one step closer to extinction Monday as the Royal Canadian Mint officially stops distributing the coins to financial institutions.
Businesses are now beginning to round cash transactions to the nearest five-cent increment in a “fair and transparent manner” — but there are 35 billion of them still in circulation. There’s still a long way to go before they disappear from every day life. More here:
Yes, Canada can build pipelines, drill for oil , eliminate idiotic pennies, on and on and on ... but not us, right? No, no, we're paralyzed by morons.

In my government schools, they told me I was free
SEATTLE (AP) - An effort is building in Congress to change U.S.
marijuana laws, including moves to legalize the industrial production of
hemp and establish a hefty federal pot tax.
LOL @ "WE'LL NEVER LEGALIZE POT! WE MUST TELL FREE ADULTS WHAT TO DO!!
POT CAUSES IRREPARABLE HARM TO OUR COMMUNITIES!! Wait, what did you say? We can generate a slush fund? More money for the government to distribute to our buddies? Wellllll then, why didn't you SAY so?
But they won't say "slush fund." What do you think they will say? I predict they'll sell it like they do all new taxes ... "for schools, libraries, roads." Ever hear that one before? Baaaaaa - bleat.
While passage this year could be a longshot, lawmakers from both parties have been quietly working on several bills, the first of which Democratic Reps. Earl Blumenauer of Oregon and Jared Polis of Colorado plan to introduce Tuesday, Blumenauer told The Associated Press.
Polis' measure would regulate marijuana the way the federal government handles alcohol: In states that legalize pot, growers would have to obtain a federal permit.
"Regulate marijuana." That means they get to create an ENTIRE dept of asshats whose job it would be to go around and find ways to
Oversight of marijuana would be removed from the Drug Enforcement Administration and given to the newly renamed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana and Firearms, and it would remain illegal to bring marijuana from a state where it's legal to one where it isn't. More here:
LMAO - the "Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana and Firearms." Why don't they just name it the "Bureau of
It's funny too, because no matter how much the government makes, they spend it all ... and more besides.
Know what else is funny? How you saw the pic at the top and didn't even register ... this a group of supposedly "free" adults ... begging the government to let them smoke pot ... literally BEGGING to pay the bribe money. How's "freedom" taste, asshats?
Let's face it, you just aren't cool unless you have a Pitbull
This isn't the Pitbull in question, I just found the pic on the web.
Police believe the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute
between the couple and their accused shooter, an elderly man who lived
downstairs from them.
Neighbors say the feud had been going on for nearly a year, and
centered on a Pit Bull that lived in the couple’s unit. Issa said,
“From what I’m hearing now, they’ve had a lot of arguments over the pet
dog, urinating on that balcony. But as far as I know personally, I’ve
never heard them argue or fight.”
Neighbors say the problem was the dog went to the bathroom on the
balcony, which often dripped downstairs onto the suspect’s balcony.
What? And the guy gets upset about this? Jeez.
Residents tell us noise was also a problem.
Noise? You mean like a constantly barking Pitbull that has to go to the bathroom? A Pitbull that's been put out on the balcony to be ignored? Noise, you say. Interesting.
Neighbor Yolanda Washington said, “I heard three [gunshots], then it
stopped and I was about to rise up on the floor, and I heard five more
and I got back on the floor.”
Dallas police say the suspect shot and killed two residents.
Hmm, what a surprise ... yessir, right out of the blue.
Meanwhile, have you ever heard of a condo complex that allows dogs? Gee, I wonder why condo complexes don't allow dogs. What POSSIBLE reason could there be?
And finally, I admittedly don't know "the whole story." However, I do like it when bullies with no concern for others are kilted. Arrogant extra-cool jackasses inflicting themselves on others with abandon - BLAM BLAM. Love it.

We can all trust our governments, and we all know governments control prices
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentina announced a two-month price
freeze on supermarket products Monday in an effort to break spiraling
inflation.
Right, whew ... the government took action. I love how the government thinks it can control inflation by freezing prices. It's as if their government is run by economic illiterates junior-high students.
The price freeze applies to every product in all of the
nation's largest supermarkets — a group including Walmart, Carrefour,
Coto, Jumbo, Disco and other large chains. The companies' trade group,
representing 70 percent of the Argentine market, reached the accord with
Commerce Secretary Guillermo Moreno, the government's news agency Telam
reported.
Polls
show Argentines worry most about inflation, which private economists
estimate could reach 30 percent this year.
Yes, those idiot-libs "worry about inflation." They should keep voting for idiot-libs and just be patient on the inflation/economic disaster thing ... they aren't connected at all.
The government says it's
trying to hold the next union wage hikes to 20 percent, a figure that
suggests how little anyone believes the official index that pegs annual
inflation at just 10 percent. More here:
LMAO, this reminds me of our own government.
"Inflation? What inflation?"
"We've added tons of new jobs ... economic growth out the ying yang."
And the sheep buy it, hook, line and sinker ... and they keep voting for idiot libs. Same in Europe, btw. And they don't put two and two together. The "problem" is absolutely beyond them.

Terrifying headline in San Francisco
San Francisco DA To Crack Down On Any Violent 49ers Fans After Super Bowl
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – District Attorney George Gascón vowed Friday to go after anyone who takes part in any kind of rioting or violence after the Super Bowl, joining the chorus of city officials trying to prevent a repeat of violence after the World Series. More here:
I guess by "crack down," they mean "enforce the law," ... OOoooooo, scary.
Manipulated pic
So the White House released a pic of Obama shooting skeet ... but they released it with a warning "no manipulatin'." So of course, every blogger worth his/her salt released a "manipulated" pic. This is just one example. Plenty more funny here:
Hey -- where's our media circus?
MIDLAND CITY, Ala. – The Alabama mother
of the 5-year-old boy held hostage in an underground bunker for five
days is 'hanging on by a thread,' said a local politician who visited
the woman. More here:
I have an idea. Instead of trying to nullify the second amendment to the constitution, why don't we have a look at the "cruel and unusual punishment" clause. Because, in some instances, I think we need to be able to torture people who commit heinous acts of murder, mayhem, and terror.
Now, back to the reason I posted this ... is anyone else wondering why we're not being subjected to a total media circus with coverage of this "news?"
I mean, they can pack the media into residential neighborhoods over things like Terri Shiavo or Elizabteth Smart but this guy is out in the country where the media would have an easy time setting up.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for it, I'm just wondering why they aren't doing it. I mean, you have to suspect they've all agreed not to do it (for some reason.) And yet, they aren't telling YOU why. No, no, you don't need to know anything about that.
And by the way, don't question us ... WE will be deciding things like this and we don't owe you a damn bit of explanation either. Just trust us, we're smarter than you ... MUCH smarter.
And then the sheriff (Wally Olsen) says "I want to thank him for taking care of our boy," Olson said. "That's very important."
Oh yes, let's start thanking the violent crapstains at every turn. Yes, that sounds like something adipstick liberal genius "psychiatrist" would recommend.
And then the sheriff (Wally Olsen) says "I want to thank him for taking care of our boy," Olson said. "That's very important."

Politicians ... they MUST give money to their buddies
Ok, if you aren't familiar with this "story," this asshole, Menendez, is a Senator from New Jersey. Here's the first three sentences from the "news report." Notice they forget to mention he's a "Democratic."
You know WHY they don't mention he's a "Democratic." It's because you're so stupid that you might think ALL Democratics are corrupt crapstains. THAT'S right, Poindexter, that's just how STUPID the media think you are ... absolutely incapable of distinguishing between Democratics. So they want to be sure to protect the Democratics ... because most Democratics are good at heart and only work to serve your best interests.
And to take advantage of your stupidity they are SURE to mention a corrupt politician's political party in the first sentence or two of an article ... IF the politician is a Republican. You see, the jourrrrnalists know something you don't ... Republicans are evil ... they are only serving the interests of the rich.
Anyway, what did the skid-mark do? He tried to give money to his buddies. And the thing is, this is all these politicians do anymore ... that's IT. Find new things to tax so they can funnel the money. And the funniest/most unusual part? He's trying to help his buddy peel a FOREIGN government instead of our own ... how resourceful. LMAO @ these "government contracts" ... nothing but a gravy train everywhere.
Sen. Bob Menendez used his influence to advocate for a Dominican
Republic business deal that helped a longtime friend and donor whose
South Florida office was raided by federal agents this week.
Menendez
questioned Obama administration officials at a July hearing about what
it was doing to help U.S. businesses that he felt were being unfairly
treated by the government of the Dominican Republic and other Latin
American countries.
One company Menendez was apparently referring
to: ICSSI, acquired the year before by Dr. Salomon Melgen, a Palm Beach
County eye doctor and friend. The firm was seeking to enforce a contract
it had won to X-ray Dominican Republic port cargo, that could be worth
$500 million to $1 billion over two decades. More here:
Ok, ok, he's stealing our money and giving it to his friends ... you got a problem with that? No? Ok, then what about this?
At the same time, the FBI is conducting a separate corruption probe
of the doctor and his relationship with Menendez, including trips they
took to the Dominican Republic.
The FBI began examining the two
last year after the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in
Washington forwarded a batch of emails from a shadowy tipster who
claimed Menendez and Melgen had hired underage prostitutes at the
ophthalmologist’s Dominican home — charges both deny.

LOL @ This "News" report
Headline "SUICIDE BOMBER ATTACKS US EMBASSY"
Then "blah blah" until you get toward the end and the jourrrrnalist offers the following:
There was no claim of
responsibility, but Kurdish rebels and Islamic militants are active in
Turkey. Kurdish rebels, who are fighting for autonomy in the
Kurdish-dominated southeast, have dramatically stepped up attacks in
Turkey over the last year.
As well, homegrown
Islamic militants tied to al-Qaida have carried out suicide bombings in
Istanbul, killing 58, in 2003. The targets were the British consulate, a
British bank and two synagogues.
Yes, Kurdish rebels fighting for autonomy ... or al-Qaida terrorists ... which could it be? I can't stand the suspense, can you?
Pathetic libs ... but they're SQUANDERING MY CASH
One thing you can say about idiot-libs, they're NEVER satisfied with how much money they waste.
Oh sure, most of the time they're giving money to their buddies under
the guise of "we have to make sure this (the latest reason for flailing)
NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN."
I saw this pic on the Drudge Report this morning and I thought "pathetic." Can you guess why?
If you haven't noticed, idiot-libs are obsessed with celebrity/celebrities. It's one of the defining characteristics of an idiot-lib. Wombat has been working on compiling a list of these characteristics. Perhaps one day we'll see it.
Anyway, back to the story. So I saw this pic ... and the background has a "step and repeat" board. That's where they stamp the logo of some sponsors on a "wall" and then parade the Marxists celebrities in front of the board for pics ... you know, because photographers just canna resist taking pics of a celebrity in front of a step-and-repeat board.
That's right, and the poor, pathetic idiot-libs on the "Council on Foreign Relations" realized they were never going to be famous and get to parade in front of a step-and-repeat. And, oh lord, the thought of this so depressed them that they were just beside themselves about it ... but then, wait ... they realized ... they have your money ... and with your money they can buy theirselfs (don't bother) a step-and-repeat board and REALLY get with the pretending.
Can't you just see them all at the "big meeting" ... primping and laughing and having a grand old time?
The only thing that detracted from the evening's ambiance was the nagging feeling they all had in the back of their minds ... the pang of guilt they experienced for squandering your hard earned money just to massage their pathetic egos. Ha ha, had you going there for a minute, didn't I. Don't worry, libs can't usually experience feelings of guilt ... that's why they love ideas like global warming and racism ... it lets them momentarily experience guilt and shame. Sort of like having a prostitute spit on you ... DON'T give me that look, you know what I'm talking about.
By the way ... if you object to them spending your money this way ... they have two words for you and the words aren't "get lost."
I just wonder whose cousin got the contract to build/transport/manage the board. I also wonder what they did with the board after the big, important, necessary, crucial, meeting.
