In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach. She didn't call back, very unusual. There was no other public contact for the woman, just her cell phone. 

A man named Mike has booked her on a few programs, but we can't even get his last name. And Mike doesn't provide call-back numbers to those with whom he speaks. So Mike, who are you? And why the subterfuge? 

Now, late today we found out that Ms. Fluke is now being repped by the progressive PR agency SKDKnickerbocker where Anita Dunn, the former Obama communications director is the managing editor... a-ha. More here:

This video is here to demonstrate that the TSA’s insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off.

Italian design house Emilio Cavallini has designed a range of tights that it says are unisex and the styles are being snapped up by men, who make up two to three per cent, or 20- to 30,000 - of the company's customers.

Costing $27, the tights, made from a mix of cotton and nylon, were launched in June 2009, reports WWD.

Speaking to the fashion newspaper, the company's vice president, Francesco Cavallini said: 'When we started our online shop we noticed that a lot of tights sized medium-large were being purchased by men.…So I did a search on the Internet and discovered there is a cult following for mantyhose.'

Cult or fad, the trend has gained some momentum of late, with Racked even conducting a poll as to the best name for the dubious new dressing habit. 

New dressing habit?  Or just gay men buying tights ... as per usual ... i.e. "old" dressing habit.

It seems to me that it's an underlying Lib tenet that for equality to exist, men must become women and women must become men. Just look at volvo drivers and you'll see a disturbing trend. Women driving, men in the passenger seat. I'll also mention that they're not only aggressive drivers but also vindictive. Just try to merge in front of one or try to pass one in the left lane and you'll see what I mean. But I digress.

Let me say this for the record. It's normal and good for men to be masculine and normal and good for women to be feminine. Furthermore (and listen really really closely, ladies), WOMEN CAN BE FEMININE AND STILL BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Stop fighting it. Ellen DeGeneres is a classic example. She can dress as butch as she likes but she's still one of the most feminine celebrities I know (she's also a genuinely nice person but that's beside the point).

All that said, "tights"? Really? Even women hate to wear pantyhose so why would men have any desire to do so? Stop this nonsense, Libs and maybe maybe we'll start taking you more seriously when you want to be taken seriously. 

Parents in charge of the school? Ohhhh no you don't (says the union)

ADELANTO, Calif. — The national battle over the best way to fix failing schools is ripping through this desert town like a sandstorm, tearing apart a community that is testing a radical new approach: the parent takeover. 

Parents here are trying to become the first in the country to use a trigger law, which allows a majority of families at a struggling school to force major changes, from firing the principal to closing the school and reopening it as an independent charter. So, why was Google lighting up Monday with people searching for them? You can thank a guy in Philadelphia who got fed up with folks yakking during his daily bus ride and a local news reporter who happens to ride the same bus.

Days after the story broke on Friday, the apparently fresh interest in the devices, which can be had online for anywhere from less than $40 to more than $1,000, is cause for concern among some security experts.

Trust me- you'll want to spend at least $100 to get something that works... er, so I've heard.


"The general public doesn't realize what they're jamming if they were to start using these things," said Richard Mislan, an assistant professor of computer and information technology at Purdue University who specializes in cyberforensics. "What's not obvious is all the wireless connectivity systems that are in the background and maintaining data communications in our daily lives."

 Last week, Philadelphia TV station NBC10 reported on a man who admitted to using a cell-phone jammer during his bus commute to shut down fellow passengers when they were talking loudly.
"I guess I'm taking the law into my own hands, and quite frankly, I'm proud of it," said the man, who the station identified only as "Eric."

He called people using their phones on public buses irritating and rude.

"A lot of people are extremely loud, no sense of, just, privacy or anything," said "Eric," who was first noticed by a writer for the station. "When it becomes a bother, that's when I screw on the antenna and flip the switch."

The story spread. And, apparently, piqued people's interest.

Throughout the weekend, and as recently as Monday afternoon, "cell phone jammer" was one of the top 10 searches on Google Trends, cropping up between searches for Lindsay Lohan's "Saturday Night Live" performance and news about the Super Tuesday primaries.

The legality of the jammers varies from country to country. In the United States, it is generally illegal to sell, own or use one without the government's permission. The devices are offered for sale on a handful of websites.

Mislan, a former communications electronic warfare officer in the U.S. Army, said law enforcement has "very specific worries" about how cell-phone jammers could be used by criminals.
But even someone looking to do no more than hush an annoying neighbor on the bus could do some harm, he said.

For example, in the Philadelphia case, the jammer could have cut off the bus driver's communication with a dispatcher who was trying to communicate emergency or traffic information. And that's not to mention other folks in the area (aside from the offensive loud talkers) who may have missed potentially important phone calls.

Yes, because they don't use cb radios. Why would you want to alert all the buses at once when you can call each bus driver, explain the situation, hang up, dial the next bus driver, explain the situation, hang up and then call the next bus driver and so on. And oh yes- the other "folks" who may have missed potentially important phone calls/the end of the world.

"Who is he to play god with our cellphones?" Mislan said.


It's funny to me that to a lib, any individual standing up and doing what's right and taking individual initiative is "playing god". Are they so dead set against individual responsibility that to decide on your own to stand up for your rights and the rights of others around you is the equivalent of "playing god"? Really? Would they only be happy if nobody ever stood up and only waited for "the proper authorities" to show up and handle things for us? Will they only be happy when none of us can act for ourselves and all issues can only be handled by committee? Nossir, No thank you. Not for me.

Jammers work in much the same way online denial-of-service attacks on websites do -- transmitting a signal on the same frequency as mobile phone calls in the area.

That's not how a DOS attack works but close enough, assistant professor. We stupids wouldn't understand anyway.

"In layman's terms, they basically just interrupt the signals in the area," Mislan said. "They are a louder signal, if you will, than anything else in the area. As a phone tries to connect to a tower, it can't because there's this other noise, if you will, in the way."

Under federal law, illegally using a jammer can result in jail time and fines up to $16,000.
So, if they're illegal and potentially harmful, why is it so easy to find a jammer online?
"It's the Internet. I can buy anything I want, anywhere at any time," Mislan said. "Unfortunately, it's all about the dollar."

Now, you might consider this to be impinging upon the freedom of speech of others but keep in mind that your freedoms are only your right when they don't impinge upon the freedoms of others.

I have a great idea for a new business, picking up students birth control pills at the nearby target and delivering them for a small fee. This should be affordable since it seems she will be saving a good sum of money doing it this way.

Moron decides to fix high prices at the movie concessions

Joshua Thompson loves the movies.

But he hates the prices theaters charge for concessions like pop and candy.

This week, the 20-something security technician from Livonia decided to do something about it: He filed a class action in Wayne County Circuit Court against his local AMC theater in hopes of forcing theaters statewide to dial down snack prices.

"He got tired of being taken advantage of," said Thompson's lawyer, Kerry Morgan of Wyandotte. "It's hard to justify prices that are three- and four-times higher than anywhere else."

Two consumer lawyers predicted that Macdonald will dismiss the suit.

"It's a loser," said Gary Victor, an Eastern Michigan University business law professor. He said state Supreme Court decisions in 1999 and 2007 exempted most regulated businesses from the Michigan Consumer Protection Act.

Added Ian Lyngklip, a nationally known consumer lawyer in Southfield: "Movie theaters are regulated, so the lawsuit won't go anywhere"  More here:

Well the first thing I notice is that movie theaters are regulated ... how about that ... government involvement and yet popcorn is $80 curp.  That certainly is unexpected, if you're an idiot lib.

And as far as Mr Thompson goes ... yes, because prices have to be "justified" right?  If you think they're too high, you just sue ... because everyone knows the courts set the prices.

I'm sure the courts will tell him to go pound sand ... or, alternatively, read a book.

I wonder if Mr Thompson will sue the greedy actors and movie companies too.  After all, the theaters have to pay the distributors, right?  And they have to pay the actors $10-50 million a picture. Hmmm, I wonder if there could POSSIBLY be a connection.  I guess we'll have to read the book to find out, heh?

Two New Jersey school janitors are under investigation for allegedly using yellow caution tape to tie up four young boys in a bathroom.

Sources within the Long Branch, N.J. school system indicate the employees thought they were "horsing around" with the Gregory Elementary School students, who are all under 10 years old.

"Regardless of their intent, it was a stupid decision they made," said Long Branch Superintendent Michael Salvatore, who reported the incident to police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor.

The boys, from two different classrooms, went to use the restroom and found the workers there, according to Salvatore. Procedure calls for a facility to be put closed whenever work is being done inside, he added.

Salvatore said it was his understanding that yellow caution tape may have been used on the boys. He added that he was not told they appeared distressed. More here:

Well, I guess the lefties have successfully brainwashed everyone into accepting the "they crossed the line, this joke is not appropriate ... blah blah."  And yes, sometimes jokes go beyond the acceptable, it's just that that line seems to have been shortened by a factor of 100 ... and is shortening more and more every day.

Notice that you don't need to know the whole story before jumping to your own conclusion. Does it occur to you to think, I'd need to talk to the people involved before I make up my mind?  Or are you perfectly happy to run for cover when someone tells you the sky is falling .... for the millionth time.

Ever notice?  Nobody "jokes" anymore for fear of this kind of reprisal.  Just my opinion but I think life has lost a lot of its fun because nobody can tell the difference between "too far" and "ok."

Nobody thinks about it because we've all been brainwashed to jump to the conclusion that all joking between adults and non-related kids is somehow "creepy."   But they don't think beyond that.  So it never occurs to them to think "why is this not ok?"

The question is, what's down the line from this now "socially acceptable" line of thought?  Why do you suppose people don't joke anymore?  

Answer: Lawyers.

These school officials better act and act fast.  They better get ALL KINDS of indignant and start with the arms crossing, the harrumphing, flailing, firing, and suspending ... so that they don't get named in the lawsuit under the "knew or should have known" criteria.

Don't worry though ... these lawsuits don't cost you any money at all.  That's right, it's all free.

Prolly not a hate crime ... or even a crime at all

A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire last week while walking home from school is recovering from first-degree burns to his face and head. 

The boy was just two blocks from his home in Kansas City Tuesday when two teenagers began to follow him and then attacked him, his mother, Melissa Coon, said. 

Police have described the suspects as black 16-year-olds, while the victim is white. "We were told it's a hate crime," Coon told KTLA. 

"They rushed him on the porch as he tried to get the door open," Coon told KMBC. "(One of them) poured the gasoline, then flicked the Bic, and said, 'This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy.'" More here:

Whew, for a minute there I started to get the feeling there might have been some racism going on here. But then I realized that if racism was involved, the media would be blaring and blaring about this night and day.

So, no, lady, this isn't a hate crime so don't expect for the perpetrators to be charged with one.  In fact, don't expect them to be charged at all ... I mean, they're only 16 years old ... mere babies.

I agree you're doing the right thing by moving the hell out of there though ... you know, before things get bad.

Obama defunds 'snowflake babies'

The federal government’s only program aimed at preventing the discarding of “extra” frozen human embryos is itself in danger of being discarded. 

In a move that pro-lifers are calling more evidence of the Obama administration’s “pro-abortion slant,” the White House has sought to defund the Embryo Adoption Awareness Campaign in its fiscal 2013 budget. 

The Department of Health and Human Services “is not requesting funds for this program” because “the Embryo Adoption program will be discontinued in FY2013,” HHS officials said in a February funding report to Congress. 

While some observers support this move as a way to free up funds for more urgent reproductive-health concerns, supporters of embryo adoption say this is the wrong time to abandon embryos that are sometimes called “snowflake babies.” More here:

But are they babies or embryos.  You know why they aren't called babies?  Because they're embryos ... it's a different word.  But the righties would have you believe they are the same thing.  Hmmm, twisting words and definitions ... all along I thought those tactics were the province of intellectually dishonest people the left.  Nice going, jackasses.

Funny, isn't it ... the lefties want to steal your money under the guise of "saving the planet."  The righties want to steal your money under the guise of "save the embryos babies."

I mean, it's not that they have anything against arguing ... "proving" to you that they can spend your money better than you can ... it just NEVER OCCURS TO THEM to give you some money back (i.e. put it towards reducing the debt.)  The facts are that they have plans for your money, Sea Biscuit, so just keep trotting.

"Defunding" -- yes -- defund it.  Defund that and mo' besides.  Stop funding things with my money (unless they are one of the specific enumerated responsibilities of the federal goverment under the constitution.)
