The fact is that there is ONE professional baseball player for every MILLION good college baseball players. Furthermore, their career lasts only a few years and an injury can easily cut this time in half. It's just my opinion, but if they want to wear diamond earrings, be my guest.
Here's a video of Beyonce Knowles' sister, Solange. I don't know who she is. I first heard of her the other day while watching "The Soup". In this video, she not only appears stoned off her coat-tail riding ass, but also can't tell the difference between live TV and a lead-in from the show upon which she's appearing. Of course it's important to make as big of a stink of something when you're clueless and she did that very well. Maybe it's just me, but if you're just starting out on your career and haven't established yourself as talented (and more importantly, profitable), you put on your game face and play nice with the people giving you ANY air time. That's just me- what the fuck do I know?
Hey - it just occurred to me -- let the little kid debate Biden -- looks to me like she'd show him less mercy than would her mom.

Two senior campaign officials disclosed Mccain's decision a few hours before the Republican presidential nominee-to-be and his newly-minted running mate appeared at a rally in swing-state Ohio.
Palin is a self-styled hockey mom and political reformer who has been governor of her state less than two years.
Palin's selection shocked numerous Republican officials. Good.
In making his pick, Mccain passed over several more prominent prospects who had figured in speculation for months — Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge among them.
At 44, Palin is a generation younger that Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, who is Barack Obama's running mate on the Democratic ticket. More here:
Among the possibilities listed, Palin was the Klown's favorite. I could have taken it if he had picked Romney but I was hoping for Palin. Peeps might say that Romney could have gotten him more votes -- but I disagree. More "evangelical" votes, maybe.
No way did I think he was going to pick her, but I'm glad he did.
PS - No idiotic comments about the title.

Wyoming Department of Health officials said Monday, Aug. 25 they are investigating a case of bubonic plague in an out-of-state resident who recently visited Teton County and Yellowstone National Park. The individual traveled to multiple sites in the area with a group of Boy Scouts from July 26 to Aug. 3, said Dr. Tracy Murphy, state epidemiologist with the Wyoming Department of Health.
“The young adult traveled to Yellowstone National Park, Bridger-Teton National Forest and other sites within Teton County,” said Murphy. “He was involved in a combination of activities during his visit that included working on a service project, camping, sightseeing and participating in sports.”
Wyoming Department of Health staff will participate in an environmental investigation with other agencies this week to look for fleas and animal carcasses in areas where the individual visited. “At this time the exact location where the exposure to the disease occurred is not known and it is likely we will never determine that level of detail,” Murphy said.
Dr. Karl Musgrave, state public health veterinarian with the Wyoming Department of Health, said that while the risk for humans to contract plague is relatively low in Wyoming, the disease has been documented in animals in 22 of Wyoming’s 23 counties since records were kept.
This is the sixth human case of plague thought to be acquired in Wyoming since 1978. The most recent human case of plague in Wyoming was acquired in Goshen County in the fall of 2004. Other recorded cases involving residents include a 1978 Washakie County case, a 1982 Laramie County case, a 1992 Sheridan County case that resulted in death and a 2000 Washakie County case.

I guess I just found this article strange since I haven't heard about the Bubonic Plague, since the last time I watched a Monty Python movie?

The appeal, filed Thursday with the state Court of Appeal in San Francisco, comes two days after an Alameda County trial judge lifted an order preventing the university from beginning construction on the $125 million project.
"There are some basic legal and procedural issues we'd like to see resolved by a higher court," said Michael Kelly, president of the Panoramic Hill Association, representing the stadium's neighbors. "It's not surprising we had to go to the appeals court - the university has never lost in the lower courts in Alameda County." More here:
Too funny, this delay is costing Berkeley about $50,000 per day and nobody is liable. Hysterical, huh? Only in California can four idiots sitting in a tree cost people huge amounts of money and "it's ok."

I shall be wearing this phrase out for a while.
That was crazy - CRAZY EXCITING !!
Pelosi paused and asked the group, “Right here?”
Seeming to enjoy the back and forth, she followed with another question: “Can we drill your brains?”
She went on to refer to the protestors, who continued to chant sporadically, as “handmaidens of Big Oil.” Arguing that increased offshore drilling would only reduce gas prices two cents in 10 years, she referred to the demonstrators as the “two-cents-in-ten-years-crowd.”
Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer swiped at the demonstrators, too, saying that “sophomoric chanting” won’t solve the energy crisis and that “all thinking Americans know” — stressing the word "thinking" and looking at the crowd — that America doesn’t have a quarter of the word’s fossil fuels yet uses a quarter of the world’s energy. Hey -- Hoyer, if we're using to much, why shouldn't we drill for more oil? Great logic, liberal jackass.

Current Communist Goals
EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Thursday, January 10, 1963
CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
Done - Through the media and government education.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
HAVANA (AP) - Fidel Castro on Monday defended the Cuban taekwondo athlete who kicked a referee in the face at the Beijing Olympics, saying Angel Matos was rightfully indignant over his disqualification from the bronze-medal match.
Taekwondo officials want Matos and his coach banned for life from the sport. But Castro expressed "our total solidarity" for both Matos and his coach Leudis Gonzalez.
Matos was winning 3-2 in the second round when he fell to the mat after being hit by his opponent, Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov, and was disqualified for taking more than his one minute of injury time.
Matos angrily questioned the call, pushed a judge and then pushed and kicked referee Chakir Chelbat of Sweden, who needed stiches to repair his lip. Matos then spat on the floor and was escorted out.
Taekwondo officials called Matos' behavior an insult to the Olympic vision. Matos' coach countered that the match was fixed and accused the Kazakhs of offering him money.
Castro said the alleged bribery attempt gave Matos good reason to expect the judges to treat him unfairly.
"They had tried to buy his own coach," Castro wrote in his essay published in state media. "He could not contain himself." More here:
"Ladies and gentleman, the coverage of Barack Obama was embarrassing," said Rendell, in the ballroom at Denver's Brown Palace Hotel. "It was embarrassing."
Rendell, an ardent Hillary Rodham Clinton supporter during the primaries, now backs Obama in the general election. Brokaw and Rendell began debating campaign coverage, including the on-air comments by Lee Cowan, and when MSNBC came up, Rendell went after the cable network.
“MSNBC was the official network of the Obama campaign," Rendell said, who called their coverage "absolutely embarrassing."
Chris Matthews, Rendell said, "loses his impartiality when he talks about the Clintons.” More here:
Ha ha -- "Chris Mathews ... impartiality" -- oh God -- that's a good one." I notice this guy doesn't peep about biased coverage against conservatives, no -- only when they go with the wrong communist does this guy pipe up.

"Ahmadinejad is not complying with the will of the people," The Financial Times Deutschland quoted Grand Ayatollah Bajat Sanjani as saying. "This is a major threat, a big danger," the cleric added in an unusually direct personal attack.
The newspaper also said Sanjani accused Ahmadinejad's government of breaking the law, seriously violating personal freedom and illegally empowering the Revolutionary Guard.
Ahmadinejad is expected to run for a second term in Iran's next presidential election, slated to take place early in 2009. His reformist rivals are expected to attack him especially on his economic policies.
Iran suffers from a rising consumer price index, high percentage of unemployment and an inflation of 26 percent.
I don't really know what to make of this but if a "Grand Ayatollah" starts getting on your ass, I'm guessing it isn't good.
“The situation at our channel is about to blow up,” a high-ranking MSNBC journalist told Politico on Wednesday.
Two other MSNBC sources said some of the testy on-air exchanges between Keith Olbermann — whose quick-witted and often caustic commentary has fueled ratings growth — and other network personalities were a public glimpse of much more intense behind-the-scenes turmoil.
As replays of the conflicts became YouTube hits, MSNBC President Phil Griffin gave his first public defense in a Politico interview.
“MSNBC does not have an ideology,” Griffin said. “We hire smart people who are passionate about their love of politics and love of news.” More here:
Right - MSNBC doesn't have an ideology. It's just a coincidence that 90% of your "anchors" are libs. You hire smart people - like Keith Overbite. What a genius he is.
I don't know if you've been following this little dust up but it has been interesting.
Keith Overbite got Dan Abrams fired. Probably because Abrams wasn't communist enough for Overbite ... and Abrams is a HUGE commie.
Then, recently, David (the commie) Shuster found it necessary to point out the fact that Scarborough was a Republican (implying right-wing bias) and Scarborough went off on his ass, but good.

All of the Wal-Mart's across Alabama sold out of ammunition as of yesterday. A reliable source said that one of the purchasers commented that while Russia may have invaded Georgia, they sure as hell ain't gonna do it to Alabama!
The Federalist Papers are a series of 85 essays written between October 1787 and May 1788. They were composed by three different authors: Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison, all under the single anonymous pseudonym 'Publius'. Initially published in three New York newspapers, they subsequently appeared in newspapers across the fledgling nation. In these papers, Publius argues for implementation of the United States Constitution, which had been sent to the states for ratification in the Fall of 1787. Today, these essays serve as a primary source for the interpretation of the Constitution. In our time, as we engage in efforts to spread democracy and liberty, and to maintain them here at home, it is worthwhile to remember the original impulses and philosophies that produced the United States government.
According to historian Richard B. Morris, they are an "incomparable exposition of the Constitution, a classic in political science unsurpassed in both breadth and depth by the product of any later American writer."
The articles were written by Alexander Hamilton (nos. 1, 6–9, 11–13, 15–17, 21–36, 59–61, and 65–85), James Madison (nos. 10, 14, 18–20, 37–58, and 62–63), and John Jay (2–5, and 64).
They appeared under the pseudonym "Publius," in honor of Roman consul Publius Valerius Publicola. Madison is generally credited as the father of the Constitution and became the fourth President of the United States. Hamilton was an active delegate at the Constitutional Convention, and became the first Secretary of the Treasury. John Jay became the first Chief Justice of the United States.
I have downloaded all 85 of the Federalist Papers from here and shall be listening to them on my mp3 player over the next few days/weeks. I know that judges often use these as reference for interpreting the original meaning of the founders. I am wondering if they mention or expand upon the right to bear arms.
Speed of death depends on the hangman's skill
Suicides and old-fashioned "short drop" executions cause death by strangulation; the rope puts pressure on the windpipe and the arteries to the brain. This can cause unconsciousness in 10 seconds, but it takes longer if the noose is incorrectly sited. Witnesses of public hangings often reported victims "dancing" in pain at the end of the rope, struggling violently as they asphyxiated. Death only ensues after many minutes, as shown by the numerous people being resuscitated after being cut down - even after 15 minutes.
When public executions were outlawed in Britain in 1868, hangmen looked for a less performance-oriented approach. (I guess the "dancing" was the performance.) They eventually adopted the "long-drop" method, using a lengthier rope so the victim reached a speed that broke their necks. It had to be tailored to the victim's weight, however, as too great a force could rip the head clean off, a professionally embarrassing outcome for the hangman.
Despite the public boasting of several prominent executioners in late 19th-century Britain, a 1992 analysis of the remains of 34 prisoners found that in only about half of cases was the cause of death wholly or partly due to spinal trauma. Just one-fifth showed the classic "hangman's fracture" between the second and third cervical vertebrae. The others died in part from asphyxiation.
Michael Spence, an anthropologist at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, has found similar results in US victims. He concluded, however, that even if asphyxiation played a role, the trauma of the drop would have rapidly rendered all of them unconscious. "What the hangmen were looking for was quick cessation of activity," he says. "And they knew enough about their craft to ensure that happened. The thing they feared most was decapitation."
Here are the other nine ways.
Well, apparently some dumb lib listened to the rant and then posted the following reply.
So I went ahead and helped his dumbass.

DENVER | For those who thought this was just another election, Nancy Pelosi says to wake up: the planet is at stake in the choice between Barack Obama and John McCain.
"We've got a planet to save. Nothing less is at stake other than civilization as we know it today," the California Democrat and speaker of the House told reporters Saturday afternoon in assessing the election and the nominating convention taking place here over the week.
Ragweed - Man and I was going to vote for McCain. I had no idea about the whole Civilization thing. DAM - DAM OK she is an idiot I will vote for McCain
It hid, I thought, beneath my chair
And angrily I cried, "Perdition!
Up from out of under there."
Correctness is my vade mecum,
And straggling phrases I abhor,
And yet I wondered, "What should he come
Up from out of under for?"

Churchill, who was thrust into the national spotlight after writing a controversial essay in which he compared the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks to Nazi bureaucrat Adolf Eichmann, was hounded by the persistent reporter, who allegedly put his hands on Churchill, organizer Glenn Spagnuolo said.
The reporter, Griff Jenkins, could not be immediately reached for comment.
In video footage of the incident, demonstrators surrounded Jenkins after the alleged confrontation between the reporter and Churchill.
"We're not going to stand for your lies," a demonstrator yells.
Spagnuolo said the reporter put his hands on Churchill.
The reporter "decided he wanted to be part of the news instead of reporting the news and wanted to mix it up with Ward Churchill for some reason," Spagnuolo said.
Spagnuolo said the reporter got out of hand.
"Our security pushed him away from (Churchill) because nobody touches Ward while he's here," Spagnuolo said. "As soon as he put his hands on him, security moved him away."
It's funny, Hamas (terrorists) supports the Democrats, death row inmates support the Democrats, the Communist party supports the Democrats, the mainstream media supports the Democrats, Hugo Chavez supports the Democrats, Fidel Castro supports the Democrats, Ahmadinijad supports the Democrats, and every enemy of America supports the Democrats and still people vote for them.
I also find it incredible that the Democrats (nor the media) try to hide it anymore. They're now openly supported by the communists and criminals and they seem to embrace it.
"I just felt like I couldn't protect him," Porter said. "I don't, I don't even spank him at home." You don't? No wonder he's a little shitstain in the making. Keep "protecting him," dumbass lib.
According to a new report, boys like Cameron are three times as likely to be paddled in school as girls.
Of the nearly quarter-million kids physically disciplined across the country:
African-American girls were hit more than twice as often as white girls.
And kids with disabilities and Native Americans were also more likely to be hit.
The report's authors say corporal punishment creates a violent school environment, and is not conducive to learning. More here:
Oh really? Is THAT what the "report's authors" say? Gee, I wonder how the "authors" feel about paddling. It seems like they were totally objective in their "study."
I can't wait until we get "school vouchers" through the congress. Then, let the libs have their schools for idiots. Woops, pardon me, they already have them, it's just that conservatives are trying to get their kids out of them.

This time it's extra cruel because, the Klown predicts, Obama is going to get creamed -- CREAMED. However, this is no consolation because McCain is almost just as big of a liberal. He's for open borders, he's believes in global warming, he's a horrible "conservative" candidate - HORRIBLE.
Francis Marion Reeves III, 62, is charged with murder in the Friday shooting death of 17-year-old Deshaun Rashad Clark and was released on a $125,000 bond after a Tuesday court hearing.
The shooting is still under investigation, but prosecutors and authorities described a chaotic scene at the small party hosted by Reeves' children at the family's lake house in Lexington County, just west of Columbia.
Reeves' children claimed a cell phone was stolen. Someone accused Clark of taking it, and he scuffled with another person and was struck several times before leaving and threatening to return with friends, police said.
Reeves' son went to the family's other nearby home to get his father, who brought a loaded pistol and unloaded shotgun over to the lake house. The father was told that his daughter had been attacked at the party and watched as his son was attacked by three people.
After Clark returned with friends, Reeves shot him, prosecutors said. Partygoers scattered and friends took the injured teen to a fire station. He died at a hospital.
"He literally bled to death," prosecutor Rick Hubbard said.
Reeves returned to his home afterward and was sitting on the front porch when one of the slain teen's friends drove by and shot at his home in retaliation, police said. Reeves fired back with a shotgun, police said, striking two teens who were in the car. They were not seriously injured.
One of the slain teen's friends has been charged with assault with intent to kill in the drive-by shooting. Breon Jacoby Mayers, 17, remained in jail Tuesday after his bail was set at $100,00 More here:

Found it at Gateway Pundit - the Chi-com government-scrubbed article with more pics and information here: She's not the only one either. Their ass is sooooo busted. Of course, nobody should be surprised. Communist governments are so accustomed to controlling the information their people receive they don't know how to react when savvy, free peeps, uncover their shenanigans.
Just kidding -- they know how to react -- they'll pretend it isn't true. If they were REALLY good at it, they'd start tossing around the word "racist."
It's a good thing nobody cares about the Olympics anymore, otherwise there would be some pissed off people.
By the way, how many times will we have to listen to our media commies spouting off about how this has been the best Olympics in history and how exciting it all was, just because it was held in communist China?
An what does Obama say about communist China? See for yourself.
I can just imagine the voice over now.
There was no consultation with the public on the terminal. Nor was there any public debate about the construction of Beijing's third runway, notwithstanding the noise pollution already suffered by thousands of nearby residents.
Chinese official Xu Li said, Once a plan is made, it is executed. “Democracy”, she says, “sacrifices efficiency.”
For Beijing's airport expansion, 15 villages were flattened and 10,000 residents resettled. They were barred from unemployment benefits and other welfare privileges though their farmland had been grabbed. Officials threatened them with violence if they refused to leave.
The World Bank says that roads are sometimes built only to convert countryside into revenue-generating urban land. Combined with a lack of adequate public transport, Beijing's polluted air and congested streets, to which 1,000 cars are added daily, are evidence of the problem.
Chinese official Xu Li said, Once a plan is made, it is executed. “Democracy”, she says, “sacrifices efficiency.”
The government wants to build a new mag Lev train line. Residents along the route are fearful of noise and radiation from the trains.
Complaints still abound about the way things work. Highways—both expressways and other intercity roads—are studded with traffic-slowing toll booths. China reportedly has 70% of the world's tolled roads and its tolls are the highest in the world (using exchange rates adjusted according to currencies' purchasing power). To cut costs, lorries routinely overload. This helps to make the roads among the most dangerous in the world (89,000 deaths in 2006 by official reckoning; the actual number may be much higher). And it pushes up the cost of maintaining them.
Chinese official Xu Li said, Once a plan is made, it is executed. “Democracy”, she says, “sacrifices efficiency.”
In China, many laborers are lucky to make the equivalent of $8,000 a year. And for that they often work 16 hour days, seven days a week.
And Barack Obama wants America to be more like China? You are kidding me, right?
Well, it is change, I guess. But does Barack Obama really represent the kind of change that America wants? Or maybe he and some of his radical friends should simply move to Beijing.
Yes -- freedom is too inefficient.
I think Barack is working on a new flag design.
A closer look at your delegate-approachable double-fencing, guaranteed to maintain a constant eight feet between delegate and potentially assaultive peacenik:
So what exactly is the DNC "Freedom Cage" and how do protesters feel about it?CBS4 explained:
A 50,000-square-foot demonstration zone that will have two layers of chain-link fences wrapped around it during the Democratic National Convention has been deemed the “freedom cage” by the leader of a group planning to march during the four-day event.
“We plan to go in that zone once only to protest its existence,” said Mark Cohen, co-founder and organizer of advocacy group Recreate 68. “When the media presents images of demonstrators in the demonstration zones in relationship to the Pepsi Center, the public will see what could look like prisoners.” Oh boy -- we'll really be fooled and we'll all feel sorry for you "prisoners" .... NOT. But, hey, don't worry, Woodstock, the Klown has a feeling you'll be in jail soon enough.
Cohen’s comments came Tuesday during a day-long trial over whether the city’s designated parade routes and a demonstration zone in a Pepsi Center parking lot meets protesters’ free speech rights.
Thomas Mestnik of Recreate 68, which plans at least five marches during convention week, said free speech means a group can be within sight and sound of where it wants its message to be delivered. Uh, I think you're confused, constitutional scholar hippie. Who told you this ... Ruth Bader Dimsburg? I've actually read the constitution and I recall "the right to freedom of speech" but I DO NOT recall "the right to be heard."
The American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado and more than a dozen advocacy groups argue in the suit that the parade route and demonstration zone keep protesters from being seen or heard by delegates entering the Pepsi Center, where the convention begins Aug. 25. Denver and the Secret Service are named as defendants. Why is the ACLU almost ALWAYS against America?
Denver’s plan would allow protesters to get as close as a parking lot on the Pepsi Center’s grounds during the first three days of the convention and they would have to leave by 3 p.m., about the time delegates are expected to begin arriving each day.
Yes - well - the clairvoyant Klown shall make this prediction:
Somehow, the media will minimize/trivialize the DNC protesters and will maximize, hype, and legitimize, the RNC protesters.

I just had a rather exciting flight. "????" and I launched to support standard tasking and were immediately retasked airborne to a Troops In Contact (TIC) situation near the location the French lost 10 troops two days ago. Unlike the French these were Army SF supported with attack helos and us. From the second we showed up it was a running gun battle with the SF guys taking RPGs, sniper and Heavy machine gun fire. We took out two sniper positions with confirmed kills in the first 5 minutes. The helos were marking the locations they were taking fire from with WP rockets and we were cleaning things up with the 30MM. I shot 1100 rounds of 30MM and my wingman shot 750. I then used WP rockets to get my #2s eyes on a heavy machine gun position so he could put a 500lb airburst on it… which he did. In the middle of the fight we were running low on gas so I sent ???? to the tanker and I remained on station single ship suppressing enemy fire on a helo trying to extract the team. I told ???? to have the tanker drag him as close to the fight as the KC-10 crew felt comfortable. ???? comes off the tanker and I asked him for it's location because I was on fumes. He said look up! The tanker was in the target area at 20,000ft exactly were I needed him. I jumped on, took 8000lbs of gas (the jet only holds 10,000) I recommend the tanker stay West of the fight due to possible man pads but when I came off the boom I looked down and I was again directly over the fight, exactly where I needed to be. I did 8 total gun runs and 2 rkt attacks. A CH-47 and a HH-60 extracted the team while we laid cover fire along with the OH-58s. We then did a low altitude helo escort providing hover cover. They were hauling ass at 50 ft while we kept eyes on from 3000-5000ft. The Army helos guys said they thought their helo was coming apart when we shot the 30mm. They thanked us for the heavy guns and cover then landed safely at their FOB. We then proceeded North to the High Mountain area looking for more action but not much can compare to the fight we were just in. I can't believe how awesome the embedded Air force Combat Controller was. He was one cool cat as he laid waste to anything fucking with his guys.
Having fun at summer camp, your son, ???

Chainsaws lopped off all lower branches of the last remaining bastion of the Memorial Stadium tree-sit Thursday as UC Berkeley prepared for their final moves against the protesters in the oak grove.
Contract arborists, equipped with Plexiglass shields, worked from the platforms of two cherrypickers, whacking off the branches of the redwood and two nearby oaks.
“The removal of these branches will make it very difficult for those who are illegally occupying university property to move back into the trees they had formerly occupied, and will help prevent new protesters from joining them,” Vice Chancellor Nathan Brostrom said in a prepared statement.
By the time the chainsaws had stopped, the trunk of the redwood had been stripped of branches to a height of about 35 feet.
Protesters have occupied perches in the grove since December 2006, hoping to block the demolition of the stand of oaks and other trees which the university intends to remove to make way for a four-level gym and office complex dubbed the Student Athlete High Performance Center.
Foes of the project, including the City of Berkeley, the California Oak Foundation, the Panoramic Hill Association and a group of Berkeley citizens, lost the first round of their legal battle against the project.
The university now wants Alameda County Superior Court Judge Barbara J. Miller to end her injunction against construction when she issues her final ruling, which could come as early as Monday.
The university has agreed to withhold further action for two days after the ruling, to give the losing side time to file an appeal.
Tempers grew heated outside the barricades campus police have erected along the eastern side of Piedmont Avenue, with protesters yelling at campus police.
“Yo, Vickie! What the fuck are you doing?!” screamed Ayr, one of the most prominent of the supporters when he spotted campus police Chief Victoria Harrison.
“You’re violating the court order,” yelled Zachary Running Wolf, the first of the tree-sitters and now an active member of the ground support team.
But Dan Mogulof, the university’s executive director of public affairs, said the trimming was consistent with the judge’s order—which he said only barred construction activities and not measures designed to support public safety.
Before they had finished, the arborists—who work for a Watsonville firm—had come within a few feet of one of the tree-sitters and had managed to seize some of their gear, which they sent plummeting to the ground.
The Thursday morning action confines the tree-sitters to the upper reaches of the redwood and may limit their ability to move from tree to tree, making their capture easier if and when the university makes its final move and calls in the chainsaws to level most of the grove.
Mark David Chapman was interviewed by the parole board for a fifth time Aug. 12 and was immediately denied release. A transcript of the hearing was made public Tuesday.
The 53-year-old Chapman told the parole panel that, over the years, he has come to realize the gravity of what he did, and how it affected not only Lennon, but his wife, children and anybody who knew him.
"I recognized that that 25-year-old man, I don't think he really appreciated the life that he was taking, that this was a human being," he said. "I feel now at 53 I have grown into a deeper understanding of what a human life is. I have changed a lot."
Ok -- here's the call. You walk up to someone on the street, and for no reason, you shoot them and kill them in front of their wife. FOR NO REASON. How in the hell do you EVER "come up for parole?" You get 20 years? WTF? How is 20 years or YOUR life worth someone else's WHOLE life? I get brain damage just thinking about that trade.
I know our constitution says no "cruel and unusual punishment" but, if we don't give you the death penalty, then I think you should suffer excruciating pain for the rest of your days on earth. I think you should have to eat the worst food possible and only be given JUST enough water (every few days) to keep you alive -- so that you're constantly almost dying of thirst. And, every once in a while, we release some deadly insect or snake into your cell for you to find and fight to the death.
As he has in the past, he also told the parole board that he was seeking notoriety and fame to counter feelings of failure when he decided to kill Lennon.
"I would be something other than a nobody, and that was my reasoning at the time," Chapman said.
The former maintenance man from Hawaii has been in prison for nearly 28 years. He was sentenced to 20 years to life after pleading guilty to the murder. The parole board decision means he will remain in New York's Attica Correctional Facility for at least two more years.
In its brief decision, the two-member parole panel denied release "due to concern for the public safety and welfare."
Chapman fired five shots outside Lennon's Manhattan apartment building on Dec. 8, 1980, hitting Lennon four times in front of his wife, Yoko Ono, and others.
Ono, who has previously written the parole board arguing against Chapman's release, did not offer any testimony in his latest hearing.
Fifty others did, however, and 1,100 people signed a petition opposing his release. Three people wrote urging that he be set free, Heather Groll, a state Parole Division spokeswoman, said last week.
One of the only reasons this jackass still has a carbon footprint is because it's illegal for me to off his raggedy ass (and people like him.) Here's what the fuckstick looked like in 2003.
James Hetfield of the rock band Metallica recently had the fence built on a piece of property he owns.
His contractor said his land was getting vandalized, NBC11 reported.
The problem is that the new fence is blocking a fire road long used by hikers, bicyclists and equestrians to access the open space.
People who use the area for hiking, biking and horseback riding said that fencing off the area is an insult to the community.
Officials with the Marin County Open Space District are working with Hetfield to try and reach an agreement, NBC11 reported.
Hetfield has been generous in the past, donating a 438-acre piece of land to the open space district, according to NBC11.
Right, but that's not good enough ... we want full access to your property, Hetfield ... FOR FREE!! AND, we want to drop horseshit all over it ... AND, we don't give a damn about your property being vandalized ... we only care about US ... got it? ... rich capitalist pig?
When George W. Bush named Dick Cheney, Rather introduced the Tuesday, July 25, 2000 CBS Evening News story by relaying the derisive and negative Democratic spin against the GOP ticket:
In the presidential campaign, the official announcement and first photo-op today of Republican George Bush and his running mate Richard Cheney. Democrats were quick to portray the ticket as quote 'two Texas oilmen' because Cheney was chief of a big Dallas-based oil supply conglomerate.
They also blast Cheney's voting record in Congress as again quote, 'outside the American mainstream' because of Cheney's votes against the Equal Rights for Women Amendment, against a woman's right to choose abortion -- against abortion as Cheney prefers to put it -- and Cheney's votes against gun control. Republicans see it all differently, most of them hailing Bush's choice and Cheney's experience.
But two weeks later, his glowing Tuesday, August 8, 2000 set up of the Gore-Lieberman pairing forwarded the Democratic ticket’s boasts about themselves which included a sly dig at Bush-Cheney:
Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore officially introduced his history-making running mate today, Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut. History-making because Lieberman is of Jewish heritage and faith. The two started running right away. In their first joint appearance they gave a preview of the Gore-Lieberman fight-back, come-back strategy. Their message: They represent the future, not the past, and they are the ticket of high moral standards most in tune with real mainstream America. More, with videos at Newsbusters:
Ahhh, the good old days, huh, Dan? GD communist -- you didn't fool EVERYBODY -- but nice try anyway, jackass.
Why does the media pretend to be unbiased but they ALWAYS tell you to vote for the communists? Is that just a weird coincidence? Why do they almost ALWAYS lose? Why are all the communist tickets "history making?"
I'll give them ONE thing, they NEVER give up -- EVER. Every single day they're out there pounding away for communism. They NEVER, EVER, rest.
The topic was a decision adopted by a rural north Texas school district to permit teachers to carry guns in the classroom. Harrold, TX School Superintendent David Thweatt explained that the decision was prompted by the school's close proximity to an interstate and its remoteness—thirty minutes away from law enforcement—factors presumably making it a tempting target. Thweatt made clear that all guns have to be approved by the school board and teachers have to undergo extensive safety and related training. None of that mattered to Fallon.
HARRY SMITH: Gayle, when you first heard about this, what was your reaction?
GAYLE FALLON: Initially I thought it was a joke. However, after a couple of media calls, we realized it wasn't and we were asked whether our district would consider it, and it was absolutely no way would we consider it. One of the things that hit me is, you know, Columbine and the other incidents were generally initiated by students. Now, I've been around teachers a long time. They don't have it in them to aim at a student and kill him. They'll freeze. Nor would I want them to. More at Newsbusters:
Hey -- lady -- how GD dumb ARE you? You'd rather everyone be diving helplessly under desks only to be hunted down and killed? You're just another brain-dead liberal (communist) in position of power at a government school.
Based on past Pew polls, CNN touts itself as “the most trusted name in news,” but the percent who “believe all or most” of what CNN reports has fallen 12 points, to 30 percent, since Pew first posed the question in 1998. Yet, in a sign of how far the news media have fallen in the eyes of the public, that puts CNN at the top of the 12 television news outlets analyzed, as well as above all the newspapers and online sources. Believability for ABC News, CBS News and NBC News is down six points over the past ten years, to 24 percent for ABC and NBC, 22 percent for CBS, but that's still better than the mere 18 percent who “believe all or most” of what they read in the New York Times. More at Newsbusters:
Well -- I'm surprised. I would have thought at least 50% of the sheeple buy the liberal pablum spooned out by the media. Isn't CNN's slogan "Most Trusted Name in News?"
I'm not really convinced though. I think if the numbers were that low, we wouldn't have so many idiot liberals in congress and on the bench.
Víctor Manuel Velasco Herrera, investigador del Instituto de Geofísica de la UNAM, sostuvo lo anterior durante una conferencia que impartó en el Centro de Ciencias Aplicadas y Desarrollo Tecnológico. Ha ha -- here we go!! What tells me the brain-dead libs are going to have the same solutions to combat the little ice age as they had to combat global warming? Not only that, but something tells me the carbon tax will solve either problem.
Hey -- maybe the braying jackasses at Time Magazine can dredge up their old story from the 70's and use it again. Perhaps they could interview James Hansen again. He was screaming about global cooling in the 70's and now he's screaming global warming. Yes, that would make an interesting story.

A San Francisco city commission has taken a defiant stand against Mayor Gavin Newsom's directive on young immigrant felons by urging officials to permit the offenders to remain in the city and help pay for their housing, job placement services and immigration lawyers.
Newsom announced last month - in an attempt to quell a growing controversy involving San Francisco's sanctuary city policy - that the city would no longer shield young illegal immigrant felony offenders from federal authorities for possible deportation.
Three weeks later, the city's little-known, 15-member Immigrant Rights Commission approved a resolution that ran counter to the mayor's directive, urging the city to let young immigrant offenders stay in the city. The commission advises the Board of Supervisors and mayor about issues involving immigrants.
It called on San Francisco to pay nonprofit community groups to screen juvenile offenders to determine whether they should be entitled to city-paid immigration attorneys who would help them seek asylum as victims of abandonment, trafficking or abuse.
It also urged the city to provide adequate resources for placing the youths in "culturally appropriate" community programs approved by the juvenile court system, a policy that federal prosecutors have said was akin to harboring illegal immigrants.
And it advised the city to develop and expand safe housing, jobs and other opportunities for unaccompanied immigrant youth "because these youth are extremely vulnerable to exploitation by adult criminals."
Decision is up to the mayor
The three-page resolution, which was sent to the mayor and the Board of Supervisors for possible action, did not mention Newsom's new policy.
Newsom spokesman Nathan Ballard said the mayor appreciated the commission's input but "has directed the juvenile probation department in no uncertain terms" to turn over juvenile felons to federal immigration authorities.
"Ultimately, the decisions must be made by the mayor, and that is where the buck stops," Ballard said.
Ragweed adds - It's just hard for me to understand how these asshats (Immigrants Rights commisssion) think. Maybe they should be sent along with the ILLEGALS, where ever they came from. ("Culturally appropriate" community programs, where the F**k are you going to find anything like that in SF. I guess they mean Liberal Indoctrination programs so they can also be more open to other asshats needs.
