John Bedwards ducks reporters -- again

Excerpts: The rest here:

On Wednesday, however, the former U.S. senator and 2004 vice presidential nominee was eager to duck the press when the questions took a tabloid turn.

About a dozen reporters and photojournalists attended a speech Edwards gave to an AARP Foundation symposium on poverty and aging in Washington. Afterward, he avoided most of the waiting reporters, at least some of whom wanted to question him about recent reports in the National Enquirer that alleged an inappropriate relationship with a former campaign videographer.

On Wednesday, Edwards apparently ducked out a side area used by the kitchen staff in the fourth-floor ballroom of Washington's historic Hotel Monaco. Edwards emerged from a lower-level handicap ramp near the rear of the hotel with two men. When approached by a Charlotte Observer reporter, Edwards said, "Can't do it now, I'm sorry" and quickly walked past.

Asked what he was doing at the Beverly Hilton last week, Edwards said "sorry" and got into a waiting car with the other men.

No photographs or video of the alleged California hotel incident have been released by the Enquirer, which described in its online story its reporters' attempts to chase down Edwards. The tabloid reported he hid in a restroom to elude them.

What a POS. He thinks he might get away with it. The media is trying to help but, I think he's going to have to get it off his chest soon.

What? Still no recession?

The Commerce Department reported Thursday that gross domestic product, or GDP, increased at an annual rate of 1.9 percent in the April-to-June period.

Poor old liberal Democrats -- they want a recession SOOOOO bad.

I think Ann Coulter recently said "Democrats have predicted 9 out of our last 2 recessions." (or something like that.)

I'am having a BBQ

Due to the recent Supreme Court decision we can now have a big bang BBQ. As you can see its not a bottom loader and there should be no trouble getting a permit to FIRE this baby up. Man I could SMOKE some shit with this.

Ass whippin' over - Finger lickin' starts

Local teenagers from the Hey Al Dubat area of Fallujah, Iraq, hang out during the afternoon near a Kentucky Fried Chicken July 16. Since the opening nearly seven months ago, the business has flourished and attracts many customers in the nearby area. (DVIDS)

Hey -- did you know that a KFC just opened in Fallujah? No? Neither did I. I guess the liberal press doesn't think this is important. Nor do they want to admit the war is over - we win - jackasses. I just want to see who is going to be the first to say "We won - it's over - Iraq is a free country and an ally of the US."

Don't hold your breath. No conservative will say it for fear of being "wrong." That's because only dipshitocrats can get away with being "wrong" in the media. Found it at Gateway Pundit:

Beijing Olympics - cool buildings etc

Policemen hold sticks while preparing for an anti-terrorism drill in Kunming, Yunnan province, July 18, 2008. China will have nearly 100,000 commandos, police and members of the military on standby up to and during the Beijing Olympics to handle potential terrorist attacks, state media reported. (REUTERS/Wong Campion)

Sure -- terrorists will screw around with the Chinese - NOT! The Chinese will inflict the pain upon them and the terrorists know it. Don't expect any problems with "terrorists" at the Olympics. Also - don't miss these other pics of the Olympic venues and Beijing in general.

Libs ban everything - except actual crime

LYNWOOD, Ill. (AP) - Be careful if you have saggy pants in the south Chicago suburb of Lynwood. Village leaders have passed an ordinance that would levy $25 fines against anyone showing three inches or more of their underwear in public.

Eugene Williams is the mayor of Lynwood. He says young men walk around town half-dressed, keeping major retailers and economic development away. He calls the new law a hot topic.

The American Civil Liberties Union says the ordinance targets young men of color.

Young adults in the village, like 21-year-old Joe Klomes, say the new law infringes on their personal style. He says leaders should instead spend money on making the area look nicer. From here:

Never mind keeping criminals in jail -- get those saggy pants guys.

America's biggest dipshit

Vile MSNBC Obamabot Keith Olbermann has outdone even himself with his "Worst Person in the World" segment tonight. He gave that award to America's most decorated living veteran, Bud Day, calling him a "clown" because he said recently he was not prepared to bow the knee to the "Muslims," referring to Muslim terrorists who seek to destroy America. Olbermann went nuts on Day, calling him a racist and religious hater. Of course, Olbermann never mentioned that Day is America's most decorated living veteran, and did not show one ounce of deference for a man who has given so much for his country.

Every American should demand that MSNBC/NBC force Olbermann to apologize for speaking of this great man in such a disrespectful fashion. Every single night, Olbermann shows America who the "clown" is -- and it is not Bud Day. From here:

The video is here if you care. I didn't watch it cuz I 'didna want to ruin my long no-vomiting streak. I just love the "progressives" - don't you?

Oh -- did you know about the following? No? i guess the media doesn't see fit to mention it. Anyway, now you know - thanks to Gateway Pundit:

Karl Rove met up with Col. Day in April and related this story in a subsequent
Wall Street Journal column. Day escaped his original detention in North Vietnam, but was recaptured. Upon recapture, the North Vietnamese conveyed a harsh message:

When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, "I told you I would make you a cripple."

The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day's will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at "a goofy angle," as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn't heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day's splint in place.

Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complimented the treatment he'd gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

Libs are going to take your guns ANYWAY

Dick Heller on the steps of the Supreme court

Dick Heller is the man who brought the lawsuit against the District’s 32-year-old ban on handguns. He was among the first in line Thursday morning to apply for a handgun permit.

But when he tried to register his semi-automatic weapon, he says he was rejected. He says his gun has seven bullet clip. Heller says the City Council legislation allows weapons with fewer than eleven bullets in the clip. A spokesman for the DC Police says the gun was a bottom-loading weapon, and according to their interpretation, all bottom-loading guns are outlawed because they are grouped with machine guns.

LMAO @ the tenacity of the libs -- Completely ignoring the Supreme Court. Now we'll see the swift and terrible consequences for ignoring the court's ruling. Hint: They're aren't any. Listen ... liberals don't care what ANY court says, if they get their way, you aren't going to be able to own a gun -- capisce?

Yes - the great idiots in Washington DC have decided that a bottom-loading gun is like a machine gun. Pure genius, I tell you. Everyone knows that bottom-loading guns are "dangerous" and are just the type of thing Scalia had in mind in his court opinion.

Actually, the Klown figures the libs will never learn on any topic. They and the media are in a fight to flush all of our founding documents and remake the US into a commie state - period. I'm thinking they are going to force a terrible civil war one day.

More at Hot Air:

This guy is begging for death

Robert Mugabe continues his efforts to render Zimbabwe destitute rather than leave office willingly after losing an election in March. In response to sanctions from Western nations — unfortunately not joined by the UN — Mugabe today threatened to seize firms with significant Western investments and redistribute them to his cronies:

Zimbabwe will transfer ownership of all foreign-owned firms that support Western sanctions against President Robert Mugabe’s government to locals and investors from “friendly” countries, a state newspaper reported on Sunday.

The southern African state is struggling with an economic crisis many blame on Mugabe’s policies, which has left it with an inflation rate of over 2.2 million percent and chronic shortages of food and other basic needs.

Mugabe’s government blames the crisis on sabotage by enemies angry over his seizures of white-owned farms for blacks, and has followed up that policy with another controversial law seeking to transfer majority ownership of foreign-owned firms to locals.

The Sunday Mail said Zimbabwe had begun auditing the ownership of Western firms in the country as part of a black empowerment drive “and to counter the possible withdrawal of investment under sanctions imposed and proposed by Britain and the U.S.”

The rest at Hot Air:

Don't worry - the United Nations is on the case - oh, wait - NO IT ISN'T! What a great organization. He loses the election but refuses to step down and the UN does nothing. Is this a surprise? They're probably too busy chastising the United States.

Now he's going to "nationalize (steal) American/western businesses in Zimbabwe. Hmmmm. Next foreign investors to Zimbabwe, step right up -- LMAO. This guy has pushed those people into the toilet and he couldn't care less.

The best thing about tyrants like this is they never get the message. But what if the citizens decide to overthrow him? Oops -- never mind -- the following is from this article in National Review:

The lessons of Zimbabwe should serve as a graphic warning about the dangers of excessive restrictions on civilian firearm ownership. With few exceptions, guns now remain only in the hands of government agents and common street criminals who seek to terrorize Zimbabwe's disarmed citizenry.

Never mind history and/or real-life examples, National Review - the libs only heed "graphic warnings" from Al Gore and other looney-ass lefties. Hell -- the libs are probably on Mugabe's side.

Alright, I won't jump ... Gaaaaa

A patient at George Washington University Hospital fell from a fifth-story ledge overlooking New Hampshire Avenue in Northwest Washington yesterday afternoon after threatening to jump for several hours, police said.

The man climbed onto the ledge about 12:15 p.m. and for four hours paced and peered at the ground. He fell just before 4:10 p.m. after trying to climb down. The man lost his footing as he tried to move down the building and briefly hung off the ledge by only his hands before falling feet first. The rest here:

Oh, that's a shame.

We're doomed no matter what - unreal

“I respect Speaker Pelosi. I think she’s one of the great American success stories,” McCain said during an interview with The Chronicle prior to a fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

“We talk about (New York Sen.) Hillary Clinton and her inspiration to millions of Americans. Speaker Pelosi has been an inspiration as well” in a role that is “in many ways … more powerful than the president.”…

“I agree with his [energy independence] goal,” the Arizona senator said Monday of Gore’s idea. “I may disagree with all the ways of getting there. But I again want to emphasize my respect for the former vice president’s leadership on this issue and his continuous leadership. And I am in no way trying to get into a fight with him.”

US Congress - Men of action

So last night the Klown happened to click on C-Span and the cameras were on the House of Representatives. Some congressman was at a podium and it was a bunch of crap ... "madam speaker blah blah ... yielding time and reserving time ... and the speaker of the house was allowing it all ... The gentlemen reserves his time ... blah blah." And I'm all "WTF?"

Anyway, it turns out that the guy who was speaking (some knucklehead from Florida) was all about a resolution to congratulate some college sophomore who had won the Heisman trophy. After he rambled on and on, he yielded time (or something) and another congressman started talking about the resolution and how he supported it and wasn't everything just grand about this guy who won the trophy.

So I'm watching and thinking -- "this CAN'T be happening in the GD House of Representatives in the United States of America. With all the problems we face, these asshats are up there wasting everybody's time honoring some college kid for a sports award?"

Never mind they're about to go on vacation with neither the house nor the senate passing a single appropriations bill this session. (Last time that happened was fifty or sixty years ago)

I COULD NOT believe it.
Way to go, BRAYING JACKASSES.

From here:
Democrats have even stopped the fiscal 2009 federal appropriations process because they don't want Republicans to propose energy amendments, the ranking minority members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees said on July 25. It would be the first time since before the 1950s that Congress has not passed a single appropriations bill before the August recess ...

By the way "energy amendments" means ...
DRILLING FOR OIL!

Al Gore says "No drilling"

Excerpts: The rest at Politico:

In a surprise appearance at Netroots Nation — which apparently was the worst-kept secret in Austin, Texas — former Vice President Al Gore followed up a speech by Nancy Pelosi by laying out a narrative on climate change and the energy crisis that seems ready-made for the Obama campaign to download.

“If you look at the seriousness of the climate crisis, you see how it ties to the economic crisis and the national security threat that we face,” he said. “200 billion dollars are being sent overseas just from oil.” "The climate crisis" -- ROFL.

“The idea that we can drill our way out of this is just so absurd,” he said, comparing the push for offshore oil drilling — which has gained popularity and put environmentalists on the defense — to dealing with a hangover by having another drink. Hey, idiot, if it won't work, then let us try and then say "I told you so." Outta the way, Gore, you braying jackass.

“The defenders of the status quo are the ones who have dug us into this hole,” he said, commenting that Americans have been “so often fooled into finding a remedy for a problem" that has nothing to do with the problem at hand — pointing to the invasion of Iraq when America was attacked by terrorists in Afghanistan as an example. Yes -- we were fooled. When Saddam decided he didn't have to listen to UN resolution after UN resolution, we should have just let him by with it, right? If that's the case, why have a UN at all? Yet, you libs all want to hand over our sovereignty to the UN. Makes plenty of sense -- to idiots.

Surprise Crime - "Out of the blue"

AP: In this Thursday, July 17, 2008 image made from video and provided Friday, July 18 by KDKA-TV, Andrea Curry-Demus, center, is seen after being arrested at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Investigators found the body of a woman with her hands bound on Friday at the apartment of Curry-Demus, who showed up at the hospital with a newborn she falsely claimed was her's but later said she had obtained for $1,000, authorities said.

In 1990, Curry-Demus, then known as Andrea Curry, was accused of stabbing a Wilkinsburg woman in an alleged plot to steal the woman's infant. A day after the stabbing, Curry-Demus snatched a 3-week-old baby girl from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The baby was found unharmed with Curry-Demus at her home the next day. LMAO - "Stabbed a woman" - and yet, she went home and stole a baby from a hospital the next day.

Curry-Demus pleaded guilty in 1991 to various charges stemming from both incidents and was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison, according to court records. She was paroled in August 1998 .... Excerpts: The rest here:

Yes - she stabbed a women trying to steal a baby -- later she actually steals a baby -- and then they let her out of prison. When she gets out, she KILLS a woman to steal her baby.

Way to go, idiot liberals. Keep letting the criminals go. After all, this NEVER could have been foreseen. We can't hold people responsible for "out of the blue" crimes.

Bees vs Pigeons

A curious race was recently witnessed in Westphalia, the contest being between pigeons and a number of bees, the respective owners of which had wagered their favorites to win. The course was three miles and a half, and a dovecot which happened to be near a hive was selected as the winning post. It was found no easy matter to mark the bees so as to make their identity unmistakable, but the difficulty was at last surmounted by rolling them in flour previous to starting them on their journey. This, while making them easily recognized on their arrival, probably retarded their flight; but nevertheless, and though the pigeons were looked upon by those interested as the most likely winners, the race resulted in a victory for the bees; the first bee arriving at the post twenty-five seconds before the first pigeon, and three other bees before the second.

Excerpts - the rest here:

A common charge leveled against those who question the official orthodoxy of the global warming religion is that they are acting as stooges for the western establishment and big business interests. If this is the case, then why do the high priests of the elite and kingpin oil men continue to fan the flames of global warming hysteria? Ummm - this is an excellent question.

At the confab, European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberger and chairman of British Petroleum Peter Sutherland (pictured top), gave a speech to his elitist cohorts in which he issued a "Universal battle cry arose for the world to address “global warming” with a single voice."

We have a similar situation to the Peak Oil scam, which was created by the oil industry as a profit boon to promote artificial scarcity, and yet is parroted by environmentalists who grandstand as if they are in opposition to the oil companies.

Hmmm - have you heard about "Peak Oil?" I've heard this term bandied about recently. It seems to have all the hallmarks of a "conspiracy." I generally reject "conspiracy" theories out of hand; however, I felt I should know a little about this in order to better separate the wheat from the chaf in these arguments in the future.

Wait, wait - he said the DREADED word

The shooting at the Unitarian Church in Knoxville, TN on Sunday that left two adults dead and seven wounded was an unequivocal act of terrorism. More here:

Yes -- the totally fair, impartial, and objective, jourrrrrrnalists have no problem using the word "terrorism" if some nut job kills a bunch of peeps for being "liberals." But, according to the mainstream media, the beheading, radical Islamists, with Al Qaeda are just a bunch of harmless "militants."

I love it.

He should change his name to "Bedwards"

American journalists are at sixes and sevens about how to cover the revelations about the two-times presidential candidate – and, until recently at least, a frontrunner for the position of Barack Obama’s running-mate - John Edwards. As reported yesterday on The First Post, the American scandal sheet the National Enquirer ran an apparently well-sourced story last week about catching Edwards (above left) staying in the same Los Angeles hotel as his alleged mistress, Rielle Hunter (above right), with whom he is also rumoured to have had a lovechild.

With the exception of Fox News, who have independently verified many of the Enquirer’s claims (that Edwards was in the Beverly Hilton room and that when the reporters jumped him as he was leaving he took refuge in a men's lavatory), none of the major news organisations has touched the story. What is more surprising is that even the political blogosphere, which would normally be all over such a tale, has shied away.

This has astonished journalist and satirical film-maker Lee Stranahan, who today has posted a blog on the Huffington Post, attempting to explain why there is still an apparent embargo in the US media. He asks first why Edwards hasn't denied the reports. "Let's go with the assumption that Edwards is innocent for a moment; he didn't have the affair so the baby isn't his. If he didn't do anything wrong then it seems like he'd have good reasons to stop the rumors. A DNA test months ago would have ended all speculation about the paternity of the baby. And if there are rumours and you're innocent, WHY go visit the subject of those rumours at a hotel and leave at 2:45 in the morning? Why hide in the bathroom when reporters catch you leaving?" More here:

Yes - it's a mystery -- quite the stumper, eh? I guess these questions are too difficult for the mainstream media to ask. It's just too logical for the pea-brains of liberal jourrrrrrnalists.

This is just one of those things that cannot be proven -- it's all speculation, innuendo, and rumor. It can't be confirmed -- never mind the video or statements from witnesses -- those can't be trusted enough to permit news coverage.

It amuses me no end to watch the mainstream media lead the sheeple by the nose day in and day out. Fox covered it a little bit. No wonder Fox is the highest rated cable news show.

I have to tell you -- if it were a Republican, (Larry Craig) you would hear NOTHING else for days and days. If I were in charge at Fox, I'd go back and see how much coverage Craig got and then I'd double it -- you know - since the peeps are missing the story on all the other channels and newspapers.

Pelosi & Reid stand on the throat of America

Here are the two shithooks who are the leaders in the house and senate right now -- standing on the throat of America with the rest of the Democrats. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

"The president of the United States, with gas at $4 a gallon because of his failed energy policies, is now trying to say that is because I couldn't drill offshore," Pelosi said in an interview. "That is not the cause, and I am not going to let him get away with it."

Her voice carries considerable weight since, as speaker, Pelosi is in a position to prevent a vote on expanded drilling from reaching the floor. More here:

Yes - it's ALL Bush's fault.

Keep voting for idiot Democrats. Think about it while you're standing at the gas pump, jackasses.

And, while I'm at it ... McCain thinks we should give money to the states if we drill off their coasts. Then why don't we give the same amount to the states who have oil wells in their ground? Effing idiot.

Since when do the states own the oceans? The oil off those coasts belongs to ALL the states. No state should be able to block oil exploration more than a few miles off their coasts (let's say within sight.) That's just a crock of crap.

But Klown, there might be an oil spill.

Yes -- so what -- is that the end of the world? We clean it up and move on.

But Klown, there might be a nuclear meltdown, a dam might break, some snail darters might have to move ... *LIBERAL HEAD EXPLOSION*.

Oh-oh - Global warming wheels coming off

Even as the Goracle ratchets up his shrill rhetoric, the wheels have begun to come off the global warming hoax. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but how long can you keep lying about the weather? Even the scientific establishment, which has a major financial stake in keeping climate change hysteria in high gear, is beginning to admit that Prince Albert's new clothes consist of his birthday suit. From DailyTech:

The American Physical Society, an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists, has reversed its stance on climate change and is now proclaiming that many of its members disbelieve in human-induced global warming. The APS is also sponsoring public debate on the validity of global warming science. The leadership of the society had previously called the evidence for global warming "incontrovertible."

In a posting to the APS forum, editor Jeffrey Marque explains,"There is a considerable presence within the scientific community of people who do not agree with the IPCC conclusion that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are very probably likely to be primarily responsible for global warming that has occurred since the Industrial Revolution."

The APS is opening its debate with the publication of a paper by Lord Monckton of Brenchley, which concludes that climate sensitivity — the rate of temperature change a given amount of greenhouse gas will cause — has been grossly overstated by IPCC modeling. A low sensitivity implies additional atmospheric CO2 will have little effect on global climate.

That might explain why temperatures have been going down for the last 10 years and are expected to continue to do so for another decade, even while CO2 levels go up — to the great benefit of agriculture.

But the fact that CO2 does not cause global warming, which is no longer even happening, isn't enough to stop the International Energy Agency from proposing that we spend $45 trillion (not a typo) to combat it. By spending three times the size of the entire US economy, we could allegedly cut the harmless carbon emissions generated in energy production by one half. Emissions form agriculture, transportation, construction, et cetera aren't included. If the problem were real, the $45 trillion would barely put a dent in it, though it would probably plunge the world economy into depression.

Thankfully, it looks like we will pull back from the edge, before enviromoonbattery causes us to plunge into the abyss.

A good start

A company that owns 11 McDonald's restaurants in Nevada was fined one million dollars Wednesday after pleading guilty to employing 58 illegal immigrants.

The company, Mack Associates Inc., knew the employees were illegal immigrants and had offered them names and social security numbers belonging to other people, the US Justice Department said.

The company pleaded guilty in federal court in Las Vegas to conspiracy to encourage and induce an alien's unlawful residence in the United States and aiding and abetting an alien to remain in the country, the department said.

The company's director of operations also pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting an alien to remain in the country.

And the former vice president of Mack Associates pleaded guilty to inducing an illegal alien to remain in the United States and faces a possible sentence of up to five years in prison and a 250,000 dollar five.

Yes - Yes - Yes - now jail their asses. Do a few hundred of these (one a day for a year) and see how fast the illegal alien problem remains. This is the way to solve the problem entirely. We don't have to deport anyone, just hold the employers accountable, it's so damn simple.

By the way - did you notice the "reporter" left out the part about how the feds found out about this? That's because you don't need to know that part - jackass - so stop wondering and run along..

Gaaaa - we're all gonna die !!

Dang it - this guy thought of it before me. They're all links - if you find any broken, you may report them at his link.
